I had the chicken Alfredo pasta and wasn't blown away. The white sauce looked and tasted watery but the chicken was decent. My friend had the chicken vesuvio and wasn't impressed either. The flavors weren't there abd seemed the rice came out the box. The service was good but not the food. Will I come back? Not sure.

I was stopping at Dunkin Donuts for Coffee and I noticed this Restaurant attached and I said I do not have to be back at work for a hour so I stopped in and ordered the best BLT that I ever had. I have been back there at least 8 times in the last month for the Breakfast Egg Meal,Veggie Omelet,Juicy Italian Beef Sandwich,Delicious Meat Ball on a fresh roll. I love the Breakfast Egg Meal which is served all day and with Breakfast you get a Fruit Yogurt Cup .The Staff is very nice and you get a feeling of being in a Mom and Pop Restaurant. This is really a hidden gem that you will be glad you tried .Going back in a couple of hours for the Breakfast Egg Meal where I order 2 Eggs over easy with Sausage and Hash Browns and Toast .My mouth is starting to water thinking of Bernie`s Restaurant .See you there.

Bernie's was across the street from my airport hotel and looked more interesting than the myriad chain joints on S. Cicero. Asked the pleasant counter gal what they are "famous for" and she responded immediately with Italian Beef, so I had to try it. Substituted cole slaw for the fries or o rings, since I try to avoid deep fried anything. Wasn't sure whether to get it dipped or dry since I wasn't familiar with the difference. Comes with a pepper mix nice and spicy. The bun was soft and very fresh and the beef was deliciously succulent. Cole slaw was mayo based but ample and yummy. Overall great Chicago mom n pop joint worth seeking out. Would rerun to try the homemade meatball grinder.

I live in the area and always forget about this place-not anymore. I tried the bacon burger just to give it a try. Great burger. Can't wait to go back and try something different.

Delicious omelets! My fiance and I eat a lot of omelets and these were top notch! Friendly welcoming service, good prices, great portions. They accommodated our low carb diet needs and substituted our toast and hashbrowns with steamed vegetables just as we asked for. We're staying in the Midway Hotel Center and this is just across from the Sleep Inn next to Dunkin Donuts. We plan to order delivery from here for dinner. They have a menu of variety from Mexican food to Italian to American and more. You should definitely come by for a meal!

I am excited to be the first to review your business on Yelp, this is an honor! Loved your food!!! ;D Guests, don't be confused by "catering" on main business display as this restaurant welcomes dining in and ordering out. My coworker and I both selected 2 different lunch options on a Sunday afternoon. She had Chicken Parmesan and I, Chicken Vesuvio - both accompanied with garlic bread. We ordered these to go and for pick up, it was a pleasant surprise!! The food was plentiful, tasty and reasonably priced. I immediately fell in love with your homemade rice & seasonings added to the chicken. My coworker had left overs and I devoured mine in totality. Will I be back? YES!!! (And very much so looking forward to trying other selections offered)

First time here. It was recommended by a friend. The place was very clean, staff was very nice and pretty might I add. I had the tortilla soup, bbq meatballs and the chicken Parmesan pasta. The soup and appetizer was very good. Cooked just right. The chicken Parmesan was on a bed of bow tie pasta Alfredo and Parmesan cheese to add to your liking. Also came with a side of garlic bread. My friend had the double cheese burger that was huge. We had a desert cake that was a torte of a sorte. I will be back for another menu item. I have to believe anything on that menu will be a good pick. Oh and also he caters special events and he has a whole portfolio of photos from past catered events. They looked extravagant. Excited to try those out at my next event.

Small restaurant with a big heart. You can tell they try very hard to please their customers. Food was plentiful and priced very well. Cream of chicken soup was good, as well as the Greek salad.(Big for just $4.99) My mom loved her bbq ribs, and my roasted chicken was good as well. They also brought out fresh garlic bread. Mmmm. They brought us fruit and yogurt cups, on the house, and they were excellent. Fruit was "just cut" fresh and delicious.What it lacks in atmosphere (connected to Dunkin donuts), they make up for with great service and good, fresh food. Give them a try!

At first glance, it seemed like a typical restaurant in this area. But walking in, this restaurant offers more than most places to eat within this area. The lady who served me was nice and generous. I tend to read reviews on here to see how a restaurant's reputation is. After opening up what I ordered, I found that they tend to make the dish look traditional, just like every restaurant should. And the food was indeed better tasting which met my expectations. Overall, I am satisfied and will come back anytime I have money since this restaurant's reputation is excellent.

I went to Bernie's for the first time today during my lunch break and I loved it! Very friendly staff, as soon as you walk in you can feel a positive vibe. The waitress who took my order was very amiable and attentive the whole time I was there. The quality of their food is amazing and it is very affordable. Definitely going back and looking forward to trying a lot of the different menu options (:
