Always our favorite for corn beef hash for breakfast and a bargain too We go out for breakfast in Rockford or DeKalb and it's going to be at least 20 percent more. Friday fish fry is good also

Hunkering for a homecooked meal but not gonna make it yourself? Eat here! Their chicken dumpling soup was so good the kids snagged mine. Thursday is corned beef and cabbage and I loved it! I even ate my vegetables. The meat was perfect - flavorful, tender and not too salty. Both the cabbage and carrots were tender and sweet and the potatoes were cooked just right. It was classic; no frills, Irish home style. We will be making it a tradition, and can afford it considering their great prices! Lastly, their coffee was a delicious step up from most of the local family diners. I had several cups...

Was very disappointed! Hoping for a "Mom & Pap shop" small diner... Have the menu & atmosphere but not the food. And the killer for me was the CORNMEAL pancakes :( NOT buttermilk. & the pricey bill didn't help either.

Amazing food and service! The Friday night fish fry was amazing. Especially the grilled salmon and fried cod! One of the best restaurants in the area!

Have eaten many breakfasts here and an occasional dinner. This is a small eatery that makes you feel like you've been transported back to a 1950's diner. Friendly, helpful wait staff. Food is very good and they give you plenty. Coffee is a tad weak.

I will say don't over look this cafe there food is great!!! It is a mom and pop shop but that is the best. I had the sirloin and eggs and hash browns and it was sooo yummy I also had a small oj juice and it was 2 bucks that was a pretty pricey for a very small juice other than that I will come again
