Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I was with a medium size party from out of state staying near by at a local lake. After reading the reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. We all ordered different specialities. The tamales were the best, but carnities, guacamole, fajitas, and enchiladas were all a close second. We called in advance but when we got there at 8:45pm all the chairs were on the tables and the floors were mopped. However, we were immediately sat in a nice area and had the place to ourselves. Our server was friendly. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in town.

Pleasantly surprised by our visit here. I'm originally from the area and usually go to Tequilas for Mexican when we're home. But on a suggestion from my dad, we gave Sergio's a try. I really have so many good things to say about our visit. 1. They have a big patio (which we braved just for the experience, even though the humidity was a little high for it) with comfortable seating. The patio is shaded (yay!!!) and has several fans to help keep it cool. A couple of them were non functional at our visit, I'm sure if they were working the humidity would have nearly been a non-factor. 2. Rice and beans are veggie! 3. House made spicy salsa. Very good, nice spice and flavor. 4. Great margaritas!! Bonus: they have $10 pitchers on the weekends. We split a pitcher between four of us and it was about 1+ margaritas each, such a good price. Margaritas weren't too sweet or too tart, nor did they have that overwhelming taste of well tequila (that you often get with on special pitchers). 5. Service was great. We were a party of 8 and all of our meals came out perfect, as ordered. 6. They have white cheese sauce. Not a cheese person myself, but we came with kids and yellow cheese dip is just unacceptable in their book. It's white cheese or a very unhappy child.

Ahh, Sergio's!! At the invitation of a dear friend from my service in the Navy, I visited this Mexican restaurant for the 2nd time on the 31st of December. My previous visit was outstanding, so I much anticipated a repeat experience. I was not disappointed. The service was warm and friendly. The food & drinks were solid Mexican, the decor was solid Mexican, and I couldn't have been more pleased with this visit. As described by my buddy, this is the best restaurant in town, and I couldn't agree more. Don't be surprised if the restaurant is packed, because they are that good! At the traffic light, enter at the Wal*Mart parking lot and follow around the back of the restaurant to enter their parking lot on the side. I highly recommend!!

Yummy food and good service! Typical Mexican fare, but freshly made chips and salsa and flavorful entrees. I had the chicken quesadilla relleno - the chicken had grilled tomatoes in addition to peppers and onions, which I appreciated. I do love a grilled tomato! Plenty of flavor without being too spicy. Docked them a star for something they can't control but definitely detracts from the experience - the dumpster is in the middle of the parking lot and boy did it smell terrible. Not the experience you want while walking to your car after a good meal. I would go back.

Sergio's was a tasty place to eat as Mexican goes in the region. Fast service, inexpensive, and big servings of sides that were actually edible, not just taking up space on the plate. I had a chicken breast grilled with fresh vegetables and plenty of that oh so gooey Mexican cheese. Ate everything and then used the chips to scrape the plate clean. Sergio's menu is typical for the region, designed to appeal to folks seeking a value and a big selection of entrées. Another aspect that stood out was the hand painted booths that all appeared to have unique decorations.
