The food is pretty good here. I like the hot dogs and burgers and fries, everything is always served hot. What I don't like is one ketchup bottle at the pickup counter that you are supposed to use and leave at the counter. add mayo (or anything else) and be prepared to pay extra. The place is a little on the dirty/dusty side, take a look behind the pickup counter. They need to do a thorough cleaning. Can't see the kitchen. I saw the owner kick off his sandals and scratch his bare feet (twice) while he was sitting behind the front counter. Hope that he washed his hands... It looks like the lady does most of the cooking but it still kinda grossed me out.

I tried to order lunch from here a while back. I wanted it delivered to me. I told my order to the guy on the phone and whenever I was done he told me I didn't have enough for their "minimum order" rule. He then hung up. His tone was very rude and it made me feel like crap. I would've ordered a few more side items to meet the limit, but was not given the chance. I felt disrespected and will probably never try to eat here again. So I am only giving one star due to such rude service. Update; Decided to give his business another chance for a simple delivery order. Owner hung up on me yet again because I asked for mustard on the side. (so hotdog would not get soggy in route) Come on, you own a hotdog delivery shop and do not offer mustard as a condiment to go? And when I asked politely for him to put a little bit of mustard in a to go cup he got very rude said no we do not have mustard and hung up. How does this place even stay in business. They literally hurt my feelings! I guess what they say about Chicago people being rude is true. I will never give them another chance again. The next time I go into the restaurant will be to personally deliver a sack full of mustards in packets that I've collected from various restaurants around Carbondale. Dear Owner, Give up! You obviously hate your job! The Hot Dog Lady that has the cart takes way more pride and is very nice and gives everyone respect. Job shadow her for a week or two.

Food was hot and tasted better than two stars. Decor is out dated and looks dirty, makes me concern what the kitchen looks like. Service was fast. Italian beef was good, but the Italian sausage was something I have never seen before and bland. Place needs a renovation then it has a chance.

Not good. Personally I don't know how they stay in business. The employees do tend to be rude but I wonder how much of their rudeness depends on them having to deal with drunk college students all the time. Still, surely they knew what they were getting in to building a restaurant on the strip in between the SIU bar scene. All of the food I had was prepared fresh*. You're probably wondering what that asterisk means. The asterisk means that while all my food was prepared made to order, I visibly saw the food coming out of boxes and bags that had been in the freezer. For the price I paid for some mini chicken tacos and a hot dog, I could have went to Kroger and bought them myself in a big enough quantity to feed all the people of my group. The restaurant is dark and grungy on the inside and the food is not good in the slightest. Combine that with the rudeness of the staff and six dollars I paid for frozen mini chicken tacos, you now have the perfect formula for a restaurant that I, nor any of my friends, will be back to.

The service is horrible, $5 minimum purchase with debit card which I normally wouldn't mind but the did there is cheap and leads me to eating more than I wanted. I was treated like the wanted me to leave the entire time I was there. The only reason this gets 2 stats instead of 1 is the fact that I actually kind of like their hotdogs.

The employees are rude and the food is bad. Simple as that.

Fast service, but feels sketchy in there. You can get a better hot dog at 7 eleven for less bread. If you have low standards or are half way inebriated, this is a viable option.

They have a parking lot but decided to stop paying on it. Instead of providing their customers a place to park, they made a way for Larry's Towing to make loads of money by towing their hungry-and-not-paying-attention customers away. My story: Ate a mediocre sandwich. Got towed. Walked to pick up my car. Will not eat here again.

The place doesn't look appealing, but the food is good, and cheap. If you're looking for a good hot dog, this is definitely the only place in town worth mentioning, as well. I'm from Chicago, so that's a big statement!

Good food made fresh. Hidden Carbondale gem with nice menu variety for a nice quick bite to eat.

The owner is an asshole, and their hot dogs taste like rubber.
