I'm not the biggest Denny's fan. It used to be the ultimate hangover place in my younger days when I would drink almost every single day. Now that my liver is shot and my drinking days are in the past, there doesn't ever seem a good reason to visit Denny's. That being said, I've been a few times recently and it's been a-ok experiences every time. The food is aight, but not really anything special. I like their value menu because it makes it a little bit more affordable. The service has been pretty good but not spectacular. I will say it IS improved from the last time I was there though. I probably won't come back anytime soon because I don't really like to pay for a meal that's never going to surpass an "a-ok experience."

We stopped by here for a quick brunch en route to Urbana. The place was quite full but not exactly packed; we got seated immediately. Unfortunately the place wasn't as quick as what we expected from a Denny's. After placing our orders, we waited more than half and hour to get our food. It was very disappointing especially since we are in a hurry

I was in last night for a late dinner, "11ish" I got seated right away and brought a drink.... After looking at the menu, I was unsure of what I wanted and asked the waiter how the T-bone steak was... His response was " it's tboneish. Now after thinking about it for a second I was like what the hell does that mean? Then he continued to tell me that it is good because it has a bone in it to give it more flavor... At that point I was hungry, wanted some meat and ordered it. The meal included two eggs, hash browns and toast, the waiter left to go put my order in, a couple mins later he came back to ask me how I wanted my eggs done, which I had already told him..... He then scurried off to tell the cook... What seemed to take forever, my food finally arrived, he set the steak down and I knew I was in trouble, the waiter left me to eat and about 15 mins later he came back to check on me and the steak steak was still on the plate with one piece cut off it, the waiter asked me if there was a problem with it and I told him it taste like shit. He took it and asked me if I needed anything else and I said yes please bring me a menu, he brought me a menu and I ordered a waffle and a side of bacon, after another 15 mins my food had arrived, I guess the had to fly to Belgium to get the waffle since it took so long... I ate the food and was waiting for the check for what seemed to be "of course another 15 mins" finally after waiting that long I got up and walked to the register to ask for the check. The waiter told the gentleman to print up my check , and when he did the guy told me my bill was 26 dollars and some change, after looking at the receipt, I realized they were still charging me for the anorexic T-bone steak that looked like it had been cooked in the sun. Now I know it doesn't take a genius to figure out a customer wasn't happy with the food, and the waiter should have taken it off the bill, I was so pissed that I took my change without saying anything because I would have not been nice about it. After I left I had realized that I forgot to leave a tip, and after I got up the road and thought about it I really didn't feel bad, This was my first time that I have ever eaten at this Denny's, and tbh when it caught on fire , they should have just let it burn down and turned it into a parking lot instead of opening back up. I will not be back here EVER, and urge everyone to go mcdonalds instead.

We were very pleased with our food and service. Prices are good and there are many choices for all (kids included). We will be back.

It is exactly what you expect. Food ok. Service ok. The later I've stopped in the greater the chance I'll run into a drunken old friend. Between that and the food quality two stars seems pretty fair.

Good service....my parents are such regulars that they know the life story of the servers and vice-versa. Nice homey environment, for sure. The food is meh but that doesn't seem to be the reason for most people's decision to keep coming back.

not a good experience, took over 10 min to order drinks, first coffee had red flakes in it, waited about 30 min for food. Coffee sucked, my food tasted burnt, my wife and son liked their food tho. Service was really bad considering the restaurant was half empty. 90+ minutes for breakfast food is ridiculous.

My boyfriend and I eat here once in a great while if we are in the area and looking for something quick. The food is always good, and I'm not sure why this place gets such a bad reputation. It's not the staff or the food that's bad, it's the ghetto treatment you receive from other diners. We stopped here one afternoon before a movie and an entire slew of 3 or 4 unattractive ghetto bangers in bathing suits and scandalous lingerie came waltzing in like they owned the place, with 4 or 5 kids running about like they were at home. They kept going in and out the front door, yelling loudly at their kids to 'Sit down or I'm gonna smack da shit outta you!'. The manager, clearly upset, walked over and nicely asked them to keep it down and be courteous of the other customers. Did they? No. That only probed them to yell at their kids more, as if they were helping quiet them down, and just making more of a ruckus. My boyfriend and I quickly got boxes and took the rest of our food with us. Other people were following our lead. The manager, embarrassed and apologetic, took $5 dollars off or our dinner. I don't know who you girls were, but seriously, how dare you? Why don't you act like ladies when you go out in public, and if your kids are not properly disciplined and cannot be handled in a restaurant, then don't take them or get take out. Cover up next time too, your massive tattooed cleavage is not something I enjoy looking at while eating. Have a little class. Other than that, our buffalo chicken sandwhiches were awesome, I just wish I could have actually enjoyed it at the restaurant and not out of the microwave the next day.
