Good selection of fresh fruits and veggies, but lacking on the organic selection. Good selection of craft beer. There are never enough lanes open to check out. It is a slow painful process. I was in a line waiting, then the cashier told me she was closing the line and I needed to find another lane. There were no other lanes open....it is because of the poor customer service, that only go there if I can't find something at another store.

They never have enough people to check you out. None of the employees care about there job. I hear management Is a joke too. Avoid this place at all costs! You just get annoyed every time you go in.

All I have to say is keep your bathrooms clean its discusting in there with toilet paper all over the floor and it smells .

Was at a nearby friend's house and it was my turn to get the booze. It was well passed 10:00 and all the stores were closed, so someone recommends Meijer since my options were limited. I already knew I should of looked elsewhere when I smell weed and see cliques of people lounging in the parking lot. I've never seen a store that was so poorly stocked, I mean there were nice-sized sections of shelves that were completely wiped out. Liquor prices weren't that low but, I'd say that they were about comparable to Jewel. I definitely should of driven further for a better and safer encounter.

As one of the other late night adventures. I occasionally venture out to Meijers. Cheap prices, and good amount of sales. No complaints here other than the far distance to travel. But it's justified for the time spent going to the suburbs and cheaper gas. I usually goto the one on Boughton Rd, but my navi gave this one as a closer address. It's late, can't sleep, got nothing to do... Let's make a trip out to Meijers.

This is a hard place to review. They have good prices, but other than that it's a poorly managed shit hole. Ever since it opened, they allow employees to smoke directly in front of the entrances. So I have to walk through a cloud of smoke to get in. They also yell and swear at each other inside and outside of the store. Right in front of my small children. Also, TWICE I've been in line to checkout, get near the front of the line, and the cashier suddenly closes the lane to go on break. Other times they will have on cashier open, but way, way clear down on the other side of the store. I mean, I like exercise, but this gets ridiculous!! On the bright side they always have soda on sale. And it's open 24 hours.

Once in a while, I decide to join my mom and dad on Friday nights for their "date" night. Yes, they're old, and their "date" night consists of going for dinner, and then hitting up the Meijer for a thrilling night of grocery shopping. While this idea may seem lame to some, coming with them on date night saves me on average about 20 bucks! Yes, it's out of the way, but where else can you find some great deals on groceries AND find a basic DVD player for 13 bucks on clearance!? Sometimes, when I'm really lucky, I can find some great scrapbooking materials for more than 75% off too! Don't knock it till ya try it!

Open 24 hours is definitely going to earn Meijer's a star from me.......prices are only really good if there's a sale. Like when they have $2 Lean Cuisines, otherwise, they're more expensive here. Normal prices are typically $1 more than Super Walmart, regarding food as well as all other products I've noticed. I frequent both Meijer and Super Walmart on a regular basis---in fact, I haven't been to a Jewel or Dominick's or anything of that sort as far as I can remember........I would say that these stores definitely have better prices, and a lot more selection. I like how Meijer's has an authentic "world" foods section. The other day I bought a candy bar from Britain. LOL Seriously. I also sometimes find good deals on a few clothing items and toilettries here and there.......Meijer's has certain natural beauty products that I haven't seen at Walmart nor Target before. You just have to go to all those stores and look, and you'll find unique things at each place. I'm highly disappointed that Meijer's no longer sells guinea pigs though.....I miss seeing those little sillies! :0P I agree with Don M. that Meijer's roast chicken is great for the price---the lemon was most excellent, and I've been back for it. I also purchase Meijer's freshly made sandwiches on occassion. Meijer's was also selling liquor and til midnight before most Super Walmarts, but now they've jumped on the bandwagon as well. Meijer's has a larger collection of alcoholic beverages than all the Super Walmarts I've been to. Meijer's has self check-out lanes for unlimited items and 12 items or less, which is cool. Meijer's also has clearance aisles in which you can find great deals, but some are still not deals at all.........you just have to look. Random Note: Meijer's brand cream cheese tastes funny---not a fan. Oh, did I mention that Meijer's has "mini-carts" for adults! I don't buy a ton when I shop, so I adore this feature! :0)

Mega store, everything under one roof concept. Prices are not low, but the sale prices are decent. They also have a very, very large selection in foods. Lotsa toiletries as well. Fairly clean and usually well stocked. Check out is usually slow, even when using self checkout b/c lines are usually several deep, and they always have broken down machines. Stuff almost always rings up accurate, which a lot of other stores can't say. Produce is fresh on most items. Meat not on sale is kinda pricey.

I love shopping here because it's 24 hours and mostly everything is clean and well organized. My one huge problem is with how the treat frozen food. They wheel out dozens and dozens of boxes of frozen food to be stocked and let it sit there for hours while they open one box at a time. By the time they get to that last box, it's been sitting there for several hours and is no longer frozen. I worked there ten years ago and that's how it's always been.

I always like Meijer's because I find their shelve food items to be pretty cheap and decent. Not going to lie some of their fresh produce is a bit pricey and Mariano's is a cheaper and fresher than some of their produce. I don't know what it is about Meijer's deli counter but every time we are trying to order deli meat in the Bolingbrook or the one in Naperville location that deli counter people take forever to get the orders done. My husband stood in line for 30 minutes waiting for to order turkey deli meat and when he got it he actually got ham instead and we took home not knowing we got the wrong order. DANG it Meijers! On the other hand i do like their perk system saving 5% on a grocery bill almost $100 was a big deal. I am grateful for the little things in this world I suppose.

One star rating for this store. I want to like the store, as they carry a good variety of items, but issues have come up Too many times. 1) never enough personnel staffing cash registers. The manager says too many people called off today. Perhaps paying employees a living wage will encourage better performance. When I have a cart full of groceries, I want to find a register manned by a person, not do a self checkout. 2) long wait at registers. 3) thin plastic bags that break.
(1)Jon Q.
The 1 star reviews are right on, it is a shithole and very poorly run, employees dont care and neither does the store. The prices on the shelf are actually a joke, they dont always match the checkout prices. The store has no responsibility to have accurate pricing and Bolingbrook is so disjointed to police a scam like this. Never had a problem with walmart, yet this town has 2 of these stores. 3 stars or higher reviews must be in on the scam or are prime picking for the scam.

Why so I keep coming back to this store!!? Be very careful here because none of the stuff comes up on sale that is clearly marked on sale!! After waiting for 15 minutes for 1 girl in front of me then checker is scanning my items and NOTHING is coming up on sale as marked on my iPhone Flipp app (grocery ads) and marked in the store!! The Stouffers entrees that were clearly marked on sale back in the freezer section which none of them were coming up on sale at the register- the cheese, the bread, pretty much everything!! After getting really fricking pissed off I just left them with the whole damn cart of groceries and stormed off! Thanks so much Meijer for once again making my shopping experience horrible and wasting f-ing 1 1/2 hours of my time- unacceptable!! Do not shop here they never have the stuff properly marked and the checkers are completely stupid!!

Their "live" pet fish dept. Is animal cruelty and neglect in action. I snapped these photos last night. One tank full of parrot cichlids were very sick and clearly dying. There was even a partially eaten fish corpse that looked like it had been there a while. Another tank of pictus catfish had very heavy ich parasite infestation. I finally managed to get a store employee to come and help me. I told her the above information, pointing out the sick, dying and dead fish. She then said (no lie) "so you're not getting any fish today?" I told her those fish were diseased and dying and I'd have to be a blooming idiot to buy any fish out of these tanks. I went to customer service and told them they had about $60-$70 worth of fish who'd be dead and in the trash before xmas if they didn't do something. That got their attention. They summoned the kid in charge of the fish (not the first clerk I talked to). I explained all this to him and his general attitude was "yes, the cichlids and catfish are sick and dying. And your point is?" By contrast, I've been in the Boughton Road Meijer several times (just down the road) and I've always found their fish and display tanks in excellent condition. I keep 12 aquariums, the largest of which is 75 gallons, so I know what I'm talking about.

I've been to this location a few times. The employees seem to be pretty friendly whenever I am there, and the store seems to be pretty clean side from when they are putting away their shipments.

VALUE! VALUE! VALUE!!! Meijer has a great selection of produce that is fresh & plentiful. They carry a wide variety of almost all items you would need in the kitchen to make this your one stop for shopping. I have been shopping here regularly for years now. Recently, I found out that at Customer Service they offer limited USPS services, and when I brought my Christmas packages there to mail, they weighed them for me & sent them! NO WAIT on the busiest mailing day of the year! Shhhh! Can't wait until next year to beat the crowd! :)

Weekday visit at 8 PM. The store was fairly empty. The store is very well stocked and organized. There were people on the floor to assist with what I was looking for. Overall experience was fine.

If you're from Cincinnati, you should be thrilled to know they carry Frisch's Tarter Sauce, Graeter's Ice Cream and Skyline Chili. They used to have the frozen packs (my preference) but they recently closed that item out, so I bought the last ten at half off. They do have both sizes of the cans and they also have the newer packs which don't require freezing. I will go back to the cans once my stock is gone and I'll let it simmer a bit to thicken up more like the frozen packs, which always seem thicker. I love their fruit and veg that are pre-cut and they are mixed nicely with good assortments. I rarely have a bad piece of fruit this way. They seem to have a desire to satisfy their customers and the rest of their fruit is as good as Jewel, if not better. IMO I don't do Walmart, Target, K-mart but Meijer just works for me. Follow them on fb. The rest of the store is layed out a little strange and it can be a challenge finding someone to help you. The other frustrating thing is their bakery, I don't know what bone head decided to only allow 8 bags of pretzel rolls and buns out at a time. Their fresh baked items, which I do enjoy... but the numbers on the shelf, don't meet the demand. The last four times I've been in here, they had none on the shelf or in the store. (So I was told.) They were kind enough to go check the freezer today and they found a case. I loaded up on three bags, as they do freeze nicely. I freeze all my bread and take it out the day before, but today I left it on my dash on the way home, so on a 95 deg. day, I could get home and enjoy that Smoked Chirizo I needed a bun for. I just hate using the microwave and usually toast everything a bit in the Superwave Oven and it tastes as if they just came out of the oven. I can't remember the last time I had a piece of bread that wasn't bakery fresh. The self check out lanes are never swamped and it's something I've just grown accustomed to these days... not that I don't like socializing with people but customer care is never going to be like it was at one time. I fear the next generation. It would be a better world if everyone was more civil. It's funny how few people make eye contact, or even bother to be aware of their surrounds and keep their kids in check, as apposed to them running around the produce section like it was a jungle gym. "That concludes our therapy session."Oops, got off topic. Happy shopping!

I like Meijer; I prefer Meijer over Walmart, Kmart, or Target. I like it because I can get all of my grocery items, most automotive items, some pet items, and all of my baby food needs in one place. They have a toy section, an outdoor section, pharmacy, beauty, greeting card, etc, etc, etc. It's like Walmart, but less ghetto. There are always more check out lines open than at Walmart. Walmart is impossible late at night (which tends to be when I get my shopping done), and Meijer has plenty of self-check out lanes open, so I don't even have to deal with cashiers when I'm feeling all frumpy and rocking some pajama pants. The store is bright, but not headache inducing. The store rarely smells weird, except near the deli area (the fishy smell can be overpowering sometimes). My 2 biggest complaints: 1.) I had a severe issue with the changing table in the washroom near the entrance by pharmacy - my son was really little and needed to be changed. I placed him on the changing table and as I always do, I propped my knee underneath the table. Within seconds the table popped and flopped towards me! I think some heavy child must have sat on it and broke it. Had my knee not been underneath the table to catch him, my son could have easily wound up on the floor. I brought this to the attention of the store manager who told me it would be taken care of. Two weeks later, same problem. I continued to check and report it every single time I came into Meijer, even if I didn't have to change my son - I would still check it. A few times it had an "Out of Order" sign stuck to it, but other times that sign would be ripped and the table would still look functional. It took a LONG TIME for them to finally take down the old one and replace it with a new one. 2.) The produce always looks picked through. They just had a sale on strawberries and they were 5 for $5.00, great deal! Yea, except that by the time I was done sorting through them and throwing away the MOLDY and half-liquified ones, I was down to 2 & 2/3 of what I started out with. I had to throw so many of them outside for the birds and squirrels. Bonus for them, kinda crappy for me. I also picked up some avocados a few days ago, and they are already disgusting. The bananas are always fine, as are most of the melons. It just really seems to be the berries and more "exotic" fruits. And what's with the fruit flies! Bleh. My 2 biggest up-sides to Meijer: 1.) I absolutely LOVE the cashiers! Not all of them, there are a few rotten fruits up here, too (no, not a homophobic pun, so don't start with me, k?). For the most part, the cashiers are happy and upbeat, even if their personal lives are throwing them curve balls, they tend to not take it out on customers. They actually make you want to come back. They are patient and understanding. When someone comes in with WIC or LINK, they are nice, they don't make fun of them or rush them along. They treat everyone with respect, and even ask if you'd like help out to your car. 2.) The prices and the ease of returns. Man, sometimes returning something can be PAINFUL!!!! But not here. In, out, done. Voila. Room for Improvement: 1.) Music - let's hear some :) And change the playlist from time to time. 2.) When the red light on the self-checkout machine lights up, the attendant should respond quickly. I've seen some people get so pissed off they punch the machines and start yelling at other customers and employees. 3.) Your gas station should match prices (or beat prices) of other local gas stations. Monster Energy drinks are outrageously overpriced here! Yikes. 7-11, Speedway, and Food 4 Less often have 2 for $3 specials on Monster.

The girls wanted Meijer chicken for lunch and so it was. Not bad at all. Roasted chicken either BBQ or lemon. Pretty good stuff and not bad price 5.99 or at times 4.99 fills the afternoon void. This store is pretty large and has everything. I have not shopped here but browsing around the prices are good. Add this to the lunch stop.

Sometime late at night when I'm feeling adventurous like Indiana Jones. I drive to this meijer to buy groceries and what not. The main difference between this one is that it's huge, but all of them are huge. And the front of the store is sort of decorated like a barn. Which is charming, they have most of all the normal sales that the other Meijer stores have. But one time earlier this year I found Chuck Taylor shoes for 12.50. Which is like stupid cheap. Because most of the time when Meijer has Chuck Taylor's on sale they were like 20 dollars I think, but this store had them for 12.50. Which is an freaking awesome deal.

I had a horrible experience with a cashier here. I live in Chicago, and after visiting my parents in Naperville, thought I would stop by Meijer to pick up some alcohol and groceries before heading home. When checking out, the cashier asked for my ID for the alcohol and for the IDs of the two people behind me. They looked like teenagers, and we were all confused as to why she was asking for their IDs. She accused me of buying alcohol for minors. I can only assume she thought they were with me because they are "ethnic" like me. She then threatend to have me arrested and said there were cameras everywhere that would show I was purchasing a bottle of alcohol for minors. I pointed out my age on my ID and asked what the hell kind of loser would I be at 30 years old making friends with teenagers to buy them alcohol. Additionally, they weren't even the ethnicity as me (I guess we all look the same). I'm usually pretty passive about crappy service - especially at groceries and fast food places. I was halfway to Chicago and I was so upset, that I drove all the way back to Meijer to complain to the manager.. The person at customer service was super nice and really empathetic. When she called for the manager, he came and apologized, but I didn't think he would try and correct this cashier's behaviour. I did hear the other customer service rep tell her other colleague that it was the third time this cashier had done this to a minority. Otherwise, I like the selection of gluten free food and world food. My husband is from Germany, and he was so excited to see his favorite mustard stocked on the shelves in the German food section.

No Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce (jellied) on Thanksgiving Day. Checked with store clerk to make sure and she confirmed the store had been out for last two days. Ouch.
(2)Joseph P.
Love this store. Good prices, great selection, and they aren't as bad on there workers like Walmart is. They also offer a lot of coupons as you keep shopping there. The also have a perk programs with savings.
(5)Carrie S.
This place is just meh. Produce is awful, so don't even bother with that. I also feel like the prices aren't THAT good. So, the perks? It definitely has a lot of stuff. If you need to pick up milk, bb guns, and sweatpants, you can find them all here! Plus it's not Walmart. Walmart usually makes me feel very claustrophobic.
(2)Amanda W.
Yikes is an understatement!! This place is poorly run and the staff really don't seem to give a crap about their job, or about customers. We came on a Monday night (11:30) for a couple small things. Since I was buying a DVD, we decided to look at Bluray players and was shocked to find a surround sound system for $150! Of course we put it in the cart. When we came up to the till, it was ringing in at $209, which is a lot more than we were willing to spend at this time, but we figured there was a mix up because we read the label on the shelf correctly!! It took them 20 MINUTES to tell us that it was "misplaced" and they can't do anything about it! Whatever. So we go home, and open up our roatating fan we purchased there, only to find all the screws missing, and the blades chopped right off!!!! Seriously!?! 3:30 am and we called the manager, who hardly bat an eye at it, just told us to bring it in and exchange it. So now I have to make an unessesary trip and waste gas to go exchange something that I don't even want anymore. This location has definitely lost our business for life.
(1)Candice G.
Okay, it's not a nice place. In fact, if there's a remake of Deliverance, the casting call could be held here... but they have low prices and sometimes they have great Meijer sales where you buy one Meijer brand product, you get one free... no limits. Seriously, I went hog wild on Q-tips and cotton balls one year and ever since my Dr's tell me I have some of the cleanest ears they've ever seen. Anyway, one out of every 3 times that I've been to this store, I have seen a "parent" either carrying, dragging, or pushing a cart with a kid that has crusted puke dried to it's face. C'mon people! I know this isn't the Ritz but it's still public. If you could try to feign interest in entertaining the idea that you don't want people to know you resent your kid, it would be lovely. Truly. Yet still 3 stars... this place is open 24 hours. And though I am pretty scared walking from the store front to my car late at night, I cannot deny my only access to any kind of retail at any hour of the night. PS- they usually have some buy one, get one or 3 for $8 Boca brand sales. Score!
(3)David M.
I remember when it opened years ago and was shiny and clean! The last time that I was there, after 9:00 p.m., several years ago, there were lines from the cashiers all the way back to the gates of Hades. No way was anybody in management going to open up a couple of more lines to make life better for the customers. Points off for that. There is a huge selection of every type of food and non-food that you can imagine. That's impressive. I believe that I even saw a pet department with fish! As echoed in other reviews, the personnel and clientele are on the trashy side. I have seen some fairly shady looking individuals and groups in the parking lot. I guess that the only thing missing is the surrounding trailer park. Save your time and head to the Jewel by the Home Run Inn pizza place. Still, it's only Jewel, but it is a step or two above Meijer.
