So it was my fault, first of all, for ordering Chinese carry out without a menu. I didn't feel like leaving the house, so I called the one closest to the house and was sending someone else to pick it up. I ordered small orders of sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice, and Singapore rice noodles. And an order of pot stickers and crab Rangoon just for good measure. They took the order, told me it would be ready in fifteen minutes, and just hung up without giving me a total or even taking a name. So when my husband came back from picking it up, he wanted to know who I was feeding? The total was $35, and he was carrying about four bags full of food. There was a menu attached, and when I looked at it, I saw that they only serve large orders of most of their food. I wish they would have told me that when I was ordering. It would have saved me from wolfing down Chinese leftovers for the next two days. The food itself was decent, nothing all to special. Next time I order, I will definitely check the menu.

With only 6 reviews before, Bolingbrook is obviously sleeping on this place. I was referred to this place by my sister who has been living in Bolingbrook for a while and is more familiar with the restaurants in the area. My sister's job orders from here often and are always quite impressed. I decided to order delivery from them today and I must say that I am impressed. I grew up eating in Chinatown so I am often skeptic about ordering from neighborhood chinese establishments. While the egg rolls weren't as authentic as Chinatown, I really enjoyed them. I ordered Shrimp Mooshou for the first time so I don't have anything to compare but I will say that it was really good. The shrimp were large and the dish was very flavorful. The portion size exceeded the price. After eating the two egg rolls, I was only able to maybe 1/3 of the dish. I definitely have lunch for tomorrow and maybe for two. It took about 30-35 from order to delivery. Overall, I am impressed with Imperial Palace and will definitely be ordering from there more. S/N: My sister also said that owners/staff are really nice people as well. That is always a + in my book. Good food and good service should go always hand in hand.

Fantastic food. Huge portions. You get what you pay for. This is by far one of the BEST Chinese places in Bolingbrook. Fresh veggies and no MSG by request. Always pleased with the portions. The reviewer who said they only have large portions is full of it. The menu has both small and large portions but if you order without mentioning a size, they're going to give you the large. Person who frequently answers phone speaks fluent English so there is no language barrier like at some places in town. Not too greasy. Dishes aren't bulked out with "filler veggies" like tons of onions. Excellent!

Loved the food here. Great comment from another - Large portions, Friendly staff. Place is a little dull, but when you want good food - This is the goto place. I got (1) Sesame Chicken (asked for extra spicy) and (1) Mapu Tofu, no meat. The Chicken was huge -- Leftovers will last me a meal + a snack. Tofu was great as well (for the young ones). Will surely return back here. Reasonable prices as well & they don't charge extra for white Rice which is great! Wish they did DimSum. This would be the kinda place that would do great dimsum if they ventured into it.

So we have been coming there for almost a decade now. It has recently changed ownerships or something. The last time the egg roll was raw. This time they cooked the orange chicken then added raw vegetables (onion, carrots, and broccoli). The fried rice wasn't flavored well. It tasted like white rice with a bit of soy sauce on half of it and I had one tiny piece of egg and no vegetables. We sat there for service with no one in the front for about 10 minutes. They dont have anyone in charge of servicing the tables and i think they all think the other one is doing it. Also, the price went up usually 5.50ish for lunch and it came out to 6.95 today. Surprise! Your bill has to be over $10 for them to use the credit cards.

First time I had it, it was pretty decent. I just called, first they didn't answer the phone. Tried again, woman answered, and I ordered two things, and I wanted something else but the menu wasn't displaying properly on the website (it was cut off) and so I was asking her how to get a proper view of the menu and she kept saying "Your order needs to be above $15." I repeated my question 5 times and kept asking, she wasn't listening, and finally when she understood ( I think) she said, "I don't know how to help you, I don't know how to use a computer." If the person answering calls can't aid with something as basic as viewing a menu and taking the order, I won't be placing the order. Also when I said okay, please cancel my order, she cut me off after she said cancel and hung up.

Great Chinese Food! But sometimes inconsistant in flavor, if I ask for spicier food they don't realy deliver. Either way, the staff is super nice, their food is affordable and they are very very clean! It's not a pretty place!

Let's start by saying that I would always come here for the best chicken fried rice ever but of course that was back in the day... Had it flor lunch today (most lunch specials are $5.00 and include- white or chicken fried rice, pork eggroll, and a pop) which was included with my Mongolian Chicken lunch... I am sad to say but it was disgusting... swmming in oil... the fried rice was tateless and the veggie roll I requested instead of pork was soggy.. The upside.. I am low on gas and they deliver for $2.00.. must have a min. purchase of $10.00. I can't return here.. I think there are way better places in Bolingbrook...

I've only been here for the lunch specials. Overall, it's a good deal. Not a fancy place by any means (dated decor/furniture) but decent enough. Their lunch specials are a good deal (entree, chicken fried rice or white rice, egg roll, and can of soft drink included) for $5 to 5.50. Quality cuts of chicken (all white meat, no excessive fat globs) and fresh vegetables. One thing I noticed is that they tend to use a bit more oil than other Chinese restaurants, so I ask them to cook with less oil which they agree to.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
