The food was delicious. A little expensive but i don't mind supporting a local business. The kababs were amazing appetizers! Delicious and juicy. The meat was soft like butter and perfectly seasoned. Some of our party tried ordering the same kababs with their dinner and it tasted a little different and was not as tender...maybe it was different cut of meat? It wasn't consistent but still yummy. The jerk chicken is just a good as any place in the city. My only complaint is that the cuts of chicken were very boney and difficult to eat. The sauce could've been a little spicier but still delicious. The dinner could've come with a little more red beans and rice. The goat stew was yummy. I forgot the name of the rice it came with but it was full of spices. It was definitely nice to have something new on my palate. Service was great at first but towards the end our water hadn't been filled in a while and the food was spicy!

I've been here several times. The more dishes I try, the more I've come to really love this restaurant. I've eaten at many African restaurants in Chicago and in the Chicago suburbs, but this one has become a staple favorite. Her food is absolutely delicious and is so satisfying. The lady who cooks the food is so welcoming and has a true talent for cooking home style African/Caribbean food. Since eating here, I've craved for the food literally everyday. I have brought a bunch of my friends here on several occasions and they all love it! I just moved away from this area but travel from the city just to eat here. I love her food and I know you will too!

Very rude!!!! I am new to the area and was looking for a new place to eat while in town and some woman working there who had no clue why I was stopping in, BC I asked for a manger, lied as to when the manager would be available and then walked away while I was still talking. Keep in mind, not a single customer was inside, so she had no reason to ignorantly walk away. Unless you enjoy being treated poorly, I recommend not stopping in this poorly run establishment.

This was the first time I've ever tried food from this restaurant. After the holidays and thanksgiving meal overdose - the family and I just wanted to have something as far away from traditional as possible and: jackpot! Ordered Jamaican jerk chicken with red beans and rice to go, was told that it would be 45 minutes. When picking up the food - had to wait additional 15 minutes, but the staff was friendly and the food was worth it. Chicken was as authentic to Jamaican as you could get in Chicagoland, spiced perfectly, falling off the bones and a generous portion for the money. Sides were perfectly executed as well, red beans and rice very flavorful, not too much cabbage and plantains were very nice addition to complete the meal. The only thing that left a bit to be desired was the jerk sauce on the side. Lacked flavor and spice. Overall - very pleased and will definitely go back again!

Food was great but quite expensive for the ambiance and quantity served. They spread out the stuff to make the plate look full. I ordered the jerk chicken meal which cost $12 which had modest serving quantity. My friend ordered the turkey tail (2 tails)meal and also cost $12. An order of turkey tail alone (2 tails also) was $5 so we were surprised the meager sides bumped up the price by $7. Staff was very friendly though. The time it took for our meal to arrive was 23min. We were the only customers at 5pm.

Cozy restaurant with warm atmosphere and authentic African/Caribbean food. I ordered Jollof Rice with Chicken and Jamaican Jerk Chicken, both meals were freshly prepared so it took a little while, but it was well worth the wait. The portions were adequate and seasoned well. The staff is very personable and make you feel like family. If getting take-out, I suggest you order ahead. I will definitely go back!

I loved this restaurant when it was down the street. I love it even more now that it has moved, expanded its menu and improved its decor. Great place to eat!
