We have been here a lot lately and it's consistently good. I would have given 5 stars but the lobster was overcooked the last two times. Besides that the staff is very friendly and service is always quick. A family favorite for sure.

Red Lobster over the years was a " lets go get some seafood there" because its the only place around with seafood. Still is.....I gotta say that there menu has changed a little over time, for the better. Mrs. E , myself and little e went there for yuk yuks the other day for the all you can eat shrimp. Waitress was great , really took care of us. Shrimp was very good ,with all the choices they had it was quite the meal. Would go again . Always liked their baked potatoes with the salt on the outside skin. Nummy num num.

Two stars because their menu looks delicious, their lobster cake puffs are to die for, and my server was a very sweet woman. I came because a dozen oysters on the half shell are only about $16.99 here, that's less than what I pay for half a dozen oysters at my favorite oyster place. I decided to try out their oysters. They were served properly: promptly and on a bed of ice with a horseradish dip and cocktail sauce with plenty of lemons. However, they left a bad taste and texture in my mouth that I've never had when eating oysters. The manager was nice enough to take my plate back and take it off my bill for me. He told me it was four days since they received them from the Gulf of Louisiana. It was nice he was honest. I wouldn't order the oysters again.

Restaurant update How after 1 year this place has change. Even though red lobster has just been bought up and wants to become a higher end seafood restaurant they are far from reaching that goal. Our waitress basically made our experience terrible. Never have I heard someone sigh out lout when a 4 members of our party of 10 for my birthday ordered off the 4 course menu for 14.99+. She seemed annoyed that not everyone was eating a 20 dollar + entree. She never came by to refill the water. She did not take the effort to put plates of new biscuits on the table but rather handed it to guest to put down. When someone ordered hot water we ended up getting a hot tea which they charged for of course. I emailed corporate and the manger has called me a few times while I was away out of the country. I look forward to hearing back on how they can explain this service. On top of this it was my birthday and all I could do was hold back the steam that was coming out of my ears. You may have lost my business forever based on this experience. How different my experience was over 1 year ago.

Wow - we don't often have great service at Red Lobster, but this time we had Jason as our server. He is also the bartender. He gave us great service and we will go back again and hopefully he will be there for us! The Lobster Pizza is fabulous! We always get it and it it consistently good. The steamed veggies were a little over cooked, but our whitefish and fried shrimp were good. I think it is a tad bit expensive, the service made it worth it! We'll be back!

Go ahead and flame me for liking this chain restaurant. As much as I prefer a nice place like Bob Chinn's, this serves as an alternative I enjoy. I haven't been to one since college, and even then I enjoyed them, except for recently. I had the coconut shrimp and they came out excellent.

I stopped by Red Lobster in Bloomingdale Sunday the 18th. I had a craving for my favorite Alaskan King Crab. It was one of my best visits ever to a Red Lobster. I wanted to pace my meal as it consisted of a tasty shrimp cocktail, my favorite buns with butter, a huge bowl of coleslaw, a Caesar salad, new seasoned boiled potatoes, a couple Jack and Cokes, and best of all, a pound and a half of King Crab, prepared to perfection, better than some really high end fancy restaurants. Five stars to the chef! I really wanted two pounds of crab, but wanted to save room for my favorite dessert, vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and lots of whipped. Whenever I order dessert, I'll always say, whipped cream, lots of whipped cream. Most of the time, the server will chuckle, and I'll get a just a small amount, but this time, my server, Marilin C, buried the ice cream. The two tables next to me thought it was my birthday. We all laughed. Bottom line, a FIVE STAR meal, and a FIVE STAR server. Marilin C was AWESOME, throughout the meal, never once rushing me. She was probably thinking, this guy will never finish that dessert, but I did, every bit of it. She'll remember me for sure. Marilin C, you're the best! Check out the mound of whipped cream in the photo section.

I've noticed that the waitresses at this Red Lobsters are super friendly and that makes dining here more enjoyable. The best part for me is the basket of complimentary cheddar bay biscuits. They are SO good (moist and bursting with flavors, aka calories). Currently, they have a summer fest menu that includes several platters with lots of shrimp and lobster. During my last visit, I went with the Seaside Mix and Match 2 items for $12.99. I chose Crunchy Parmesan Ranch Shrimp and Shrimp & Scallops Linguini, both of which were good. It also came with a salad, which surprisingly exceeded my expectation of a garden salad! They cut up the cucumber and tomatoes into cubes and sprinkled on top of the lettuce. They also have happy hour deal - Take Five - Where you can get appetizers for $5 Mon-Fri 3-6pm. The 5 options include: sweet chili shrimp, SW chicken pizza, spicy buffalo chicken bites, crispy calamari and vegetables, and 2 shrimp tacos. This location gets pretty crowded on the weekends.

I ventured here recently for a little seafood feast. Not bad, not great. The ultimate feast was decent, the crab legs were pretty small, I was disappointed :( The lobster was good as well as the shrimp. We ordered a pick three appetizer and dont do it. You should really just order them seperately or pick two, pick three was not enough of the three selections. The mozarella stix were undercooked and just flat out awful. The calamari was decent, but the stuffed lobster and crab mushrooms were the best on the platter by far, saved the three stars. The Dr Pepper was flat. Nothing special, but I recommend the stuffed mushrooms for sure, maybe a couple drinks and the mushrooms next time.................

It is soooooooo time for an update and after last night's debacle, I'm sad to report that the big R.L. is getting knocked down 2 tigg ol' bitt....wait, no....inappropriate. 2 BIG STARS. When we walked in at 7pm on a Friday night, I expected it to be packed and having to wait for a while for a table and was surprised to find an empty lobby. Now I know why. I'm not going to write a mile long review with everything that went wrong, but the basics were: -over cooked apps -under cooked entrees -over cooked entrees -inedible entrees -a nightmare paying the check because of some computer issues that I suggest they fix before running any more transactions. "Super-Malissa" and the adorable manager (sorry, my dear, I missed your name in the insanity that was our night) are the only reason three stars are up there right now! Well them and those damn biscuits. Some pluses: -service -the biscuits rocked it -the glasses were kept full -oh, and we (and the staff) got to embarrass my nephew with singing the age old favorite "Happy Birthday"!!! Don't worry, the birthday boy was perfectly happy with his meal and that's all that truly matters but it would have been nice if we ALL could have enjoyed our meals. One more thought: improve your lighting, Red Lobster, you're not an intimate fancy restaurant. Eating in the dark is for people in Vegas and restaurants trying to cover up something. Later, folks!

I ate the New Orleans Salmon dinner. It was a blackened salmon with shrimp and a sauce that came with broccoli. My other side was creamy lobster mashed potatoes for an extra fee. My wife had a shrimp and lobster combo with green beans. We both had Caesar salad that was really good and had the garlic cheesy biscuits. I thought the food was ok and a little on the salty side. My wife thought the food was really good though. The service was decent. We sat at the bar to avoid a 20 minute wait and while the bartender was attentive and only had 3 other people sitting at the bar, the waiters and waitresses seemed to constantly bombard him with drink orders from the tables and booths. It was pretty busy and it was a Sunday night. The portion sizes were large and my wife got a box to take her meal home. I had one beer and my wife has a peach lemonade that she said was really good. I think the prices were pretty high. For our two meals with one drink a piece, it was $66 without a tip. It was an okay experience overall.

I am type 2 diabetic and knew I had to eat dinner soon. Me and my beautiful girlfriend left the house and quickly decided it was Red Lobster tonight. She said we're going to have to wait a while in line. We had less than a ten minute ride, but I called Red Lobster anyways. A manager, named Ken G. took my call and said ask for him when I arrive. We arrived and walked in through a crowd. Ken was waiting for us and sat us immediately. Then the meal came quickly and was better than normal! Because of the fast reaction and great treatment by Ken and his staff, we will be frequenting Red Lobster more often! Thanks Ken, great job!

endless popcorn shrimp a-ok THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH THE ENDLESS POPCORN SHRIMP IS THE PRICE, THE AMOUNT OF POPCORN SHRIMP, AND THE SIZE OF THE POPCORN SHRIMP. $17.99 for endless popcorn shrimp----TINY TINY ENDLESS POPCORN SHRIMP. with the fried coating on the popcorn shrimp the whole shrimp was about an inch and a half across. my dish had plenty of whole pieces of shrimp, but my dish had plenty of PIECES of fried shrimp to make it look like there was A LOT of shrimp. i did not have seconds of popcorn shrimp at this location, but i did have 2nds and 3rds of the cheddar biscuits. AND THE VERY NICE WAITRESS GAVE ME HOT BISCUITS TO GO. SO I TIPPED HER 6 BUCKS. YIPPPPEEE for the size of shrimp that they were giving out they should charge $10.99. very nice and clean restaurant. very nice people working there as well.

The food at Red Lobster is mixed results, sometimes very good, other times mediocre. One complaint I do have is that they do not take reservations for less then 6 people. Due to that when we go out with one other couple we never go to Red Lobster because the wait is so long on weekends. They need to change that policy.

I am a Red Lobster novice. I live quite near here but have only recently stopped in to try it. I kept seeing the advertisement for lobsterfest and had to check this out. I ordered the "Dueling Lobster Tails" and my S.O. ordered the King Crab legs. These came with a salad, vegetables, and potato. We started out with a sweet chili shrimp appetizer which was pretty good. A large portion of shrimp battered and tossed in a chili sauce. As for the entree's, My lobster tails were packed with extras. One had shrimp, one had a crab stuffing. Both were very good. I also had quite a few of the king crab legs. Also very good. Neither of us had any room for desert. Service was fine, place was crowded. This was on a Sunday evening. Overall, I give it four stars. I will return. Cheers to all

This location has the friendliest staff! The hostess was very welcoming, the server, Alex, was very kind and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We also spoke with 2 other staff members, they were Great as well. We had a coupon for a free appetizer, so that made it even better! The food was delicious too! We will be going back!!

We had 4 adults and 2 kids in our party. We wanted a nice dinner outing in a family friendly restaurant. Our server was TOM. Seemed nice. Came up right away took drink orders etc. (I noticed his awful nails right away. He munches on them in the wait station I guess... Yuck! Bad habit.) Since we had kids with us we had a couple of requests and things we wanted to add to the order and he was very accommodating. When we were almost done I caught him on the way to the bathroom and told him secretly that we have 3 birthdays in our party. My sister just turned 35, my mom is turning 60 in a couple of days ad my daughter was turning 5! He just said "ok". Then he came to our table and asked if we wanted desserts. We were so full that we could not fit anything else so we said no, and then the nightmare happened... he said "ok, so we will just come back to sing happy birthday to everyone and I will bring you the bill". Out loud! In front of everyone. Tom, why would I catch you away from the table to tell you in secret that we have birthdays in our table??? Because IT IS A SURPRISE!!!! I was so disappointed. But wait, there's more... He brought two waitresses back and they sang Happy Birthday song, but there was no candle to blow. They do not bring you even a birthday cookie or a scoop of ice-cream with a candle! NOTHING! If he told me this I would be happy to buy desserts just so they can bring them with candles to blow. $200 spent for dinner and not even a scoop of ice-cream for birthday girls :( I will not be going back after this :(

The lobster pizza appetizer is back at Red Lobster, and that's good news! This location offers very convenient parking and an interior that looks just about brand new (though I'm pretty sure its at least a few years old now). Hush puppies / dinner rolls are served and enjoyed a-plenty, lobsterfest lobsters are a crawling and a boilin', mussels are steaming, and the fettuccine alfredo is flowing! The martini's - we'll go with one a piece... we had to get rid of something for a complementary fill of lobster tail this meal but they are still well made. All of these things make this a very successful trip to Red Lobster, but the cherry on the cake was our absolutely ~-stupendous-~ service that was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. ...now if only I could remember how much better I like Maine lobster compared to rock lobster on the next trip.

I read an article that Red Lobster may be closing it's doors. I hope it's a rumor, because we have been coming here for holidays and birthdays since I was a kid. It would suck to think that the one place I'd challenge my dad to the huge shrimp feast is closing. I've had a lot of great memories here, and a lot of great food. I've been to a lot of Red Lobsters and I have to say I really like this one. Maybe because it wasn't crowded (then again it was New Year's Day) but also because we had a great waitress. She made sure our biscuit basket was always filled and that our drinks never ran empty. And this new dessert in a jar? Awesome concept. I had the Strawberry Shortcake. Yum! Everyone at this location is friendly and the food is great. I really truly hope it's a rumor.

When I first visited Red Lobster, I was impressed by how formal and professional the place looked. The server was also very nice. Although the food was pricey, I think the professionalism and the quality of food makes up for it.

I continually come to this one due to superior service and food. The one in schaumburg, where I live, offended me so greatly a decade ago I have not been back since. They could be great for all I know. btw the one I refer to is the new one they built on golf, not the one on that side road which rocked for all those years til the new one on golf opened up and put them outta biz :/ Any how. Great service, immediate seating on a Monday at 6. They were very good and patient with our order and did a great job with our food except our pastas. I ordered the admirals platter, it's fried fish, shrimp, clams, scallops. Comes with tartar and cocktail sauce and then a side and salad. I got the upgrade to the lobster baked potato. It's lobster fest right now there. It was awesome! the potato was so fluffy and the skin was great once I added some salt to the outside. The lobster inside it was so well cooked it just made a baked potato perfect, and i normally am not a baked potato fan. The fried stuff was all great, nice and crispy on mine. My brother's scallops were not crispy but everything else was. My mom and youngest brother had pasta alfredo and it was overly salty. They sent one of them back while my youngest brother just ate it cuz he was hungry. Though I always question why order pasta, even if it has seafood, when you are at a seafood place but I digress. Overall, good food, good service, just over salted pasta. I'd go again, they made me feel welcome and even looked for a basketball game for me on the tv's since they overheard us talking about it as we walked by :) Nice touch! Also I like that for 18 bucks, I had enough food for lunch the next day. and those cheddar bay bisquits, to quote Homer, ghlghghrlghhhh. They even gave me a baggie with instructions on how to reheat them properly and it works!

We hadn't gone here in years and I had very low expectations. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised. We were seated quickly, our waitress was polite and attentive and our food was served hot and exactly as we indicated. I got a broiled tilapia dish that was very tasty and prepared without oil or butter. The veggies were a tad overcooked, but it is a chain restaurant after all. It will probably be several years before I go again, but it wasn't nearly as painful of an experience as I anticipated.

Had a great dinner tonight. The service was great the salad and biscuits were fresh and delicious. I tried a seafood bake it was very filling and flavorful. It had crab legs scallops shrimp and roasted potatoes and corn on the cob. I will say I was very satisfied and full. I never have a bad meal here at this location.

Dinner and a movie! We planned this out for the Picture Show down the street and wanted to indulge ourselves at Red Lobster for dinner. Really enjoyed ourselves. There were several specials we were considering because of the big posters near the front waiting area, but in the end we picked the four course selection for $14.99 each. And we thought that was an excellent value. Start with New England clam chowder, bring out the cheddar cheese biscuits, diet coke for her, my favorite Long Island iced tea, then move on to a Caesar salad and a garden salad. For the main entree she wanted jumbo shrimp, some were coconut and others were grilled with pineapple. For me I wanted to order Tilapia but was told they did not have any more available tonight, so I opted for the pork chops with apple compote and mashed potatoes. As if that wasn't enough, for dessert we had a slice of key lime pie and an apple caramel crostada. Honestly it was fun to treat ourselves to a feast. While we were there we tried to figure out when was the last time we ate at another Red Lobster and could only come up with a handful of times over the years, the most recent was more than 12 months ago. Not sure why because we love eating here. Perhaps the long interval is because we treasure special moments together and try to find an appropriate venue, and Red Lobster is in that category for us. Highly recommended for a special birthday meal, a romantic dinner for two, or any special occasion where you want to celebrate with seafood.

It's true what Peter N. said below: "no matter how refined your palate is," you've got to love the cheddar bay biscuits. However, I made the horrible mistake of looking at the biscuits' nutrition facts on the back of the menu and so limited myself to two. My quest for infinite thinness won over my indulgent desires. A mojito and a margarita managed to be both low-proof and tasty, so at less than $8 each they didn't warrant much complaint. Funny how after you've been spoiled with rich Pacific salmon you can instantly distinguish it from its tasteless Atlantic relative. A filet from Eastern waters, though perfectly grilled, needed better seasoning or even some kind of sauce to improve its flavor. Baked potato was perfect. Caesar salad was a bit overdressed. Waitress was cheery enough. The low price (relative to meal mass) reminds you that you get what you pay for where you pay for it, meaning that you should not expect all-around excellence when dropping a 20 for salad, entree, two sides, and unlimited cheesy biscuits from a corporate restaurant. Thus, I look at Red Lobster the same as any cross-country chain: I have no problem with an occasional visit, but make it a regular suggestion and my respect for you diminishes.

As much as this place gets bashed, I simply can't fault it for being what it is: a chain seafood restaurant. This specific location is outstanding. I went one day during one of their fake festivals, this time it was "lobster fest." I was in the mood for some lobster. The service was fast and the waitress was very kind and super attentive. She would bring me another Boston tea(iced tea with a splash of cranberry and an orange wedge) before I even bothered to notice I was low. The salad I had was good and when I finished the meal came promptly soon after. The meal was buttery, salty, and tasted great. Although I really want to rag on this place, I cant. its a well run clean and friendly place. God..i feel dirty.

Went here on Sept 6, 2013 for the endless shrimp special for my birthday with family. We have been here many times and overall it was a great experience - I will start out with the very MINUTE reasons for the 4 star review first. 1. I could be wrong, but I think the wild rice recipe has been changed, or altered in some way. The rice at Red Lobster has always been fantastic, until last night. I can't put my finger on it (I did notice little carrots in the rice, I don't remember that from before), but to me it just tasted a bit different than what I am used to. Perhaps they changed the recipe, or perhaps last night we just got some bland batches of it. Who knows. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't as I remembered. 2. Pertaining to the rice - the restaurant COULD give you a little more. All you get on an average dish is about 2 heaping tablespoons full. NOT A LOT. I usually substitute some 'extra rice' for the salad option instead, and they don't give you much extra. Overall, they could give you a lot more rice. It's just rice :) 3. Not related to the restaurant or food aspect last night, but by total chance, a group of about 5 middle aged people (3 women, 2 men) were seated next to us. I have been in restaurants A LOT, and LOUD RESTAURANTS and bars/clubs at that. One of these women talked and talked and TALKED - loud - nonstop for over an hour. So much to the point other tables were looking their direction as if wanting to say shut up or something. Rarely if ever would I make a complaint about something like this - but this woman was clearly in her own world and just overly loud as if she was center of attention. All we heard about and were drowned out by was brag-talk about her college kids, who was rushing for what sorority or fraternity, who was cheer leading where, who was on the football team, who was at the college dance, which girl wore which dress, which girl had their hair done, who was on scholarships, etc. You get the drift - the kinda people re-living their lives or dreams thru their children. Picture a bunch of caddy women standing around on your neighborhood block all bragging and talking about who has this or that or who bought which pair of shoes or which child is in which swimming lesson or tumbling class or which husband travels the most or has the biggest career or who is going to see Breaking Dawn on which night. It all just screamed "soccer mom" - only this content was about kids 20 years old. Sorry - you just don't talk that LOUD and obnoxious and oblivious to other tables around you in a rather casual restaurant like Red Lobster. OVERALL THO: - tremendous service by Rachel B. Very friendly, cute server, very on top of things. Brought us out order after order after ORDER of extra shrimp - we def got our money's worth for the endless shrimp. Very accommodating. Even brought a few other waiters to sing 'happy bday' to me at the end of the dinner. I didn't ask for it, and clearly I was a bit old - hehehe - but it was cool nonetheless. - Shrimp was all great. Food was great overall. - Several managers went table to table to check to see how everything was and thank us. That was nice. We didn't see if they went to the loud-mouth table next to us - we had left by the point. Nice experience (minus the loud brag-fest), and we would return!

We've been coming to this Red Lobster for over a decade. It was hit or miss back in the day, but for the past 3 years, they have been on their game in the best way possible. Great experience every. single. time. We can go in with our kid and know that they will be there quickly to get an order in, get him some milk and biscuits, crayons and keep the dinner moving along at a great pace for a sometimes impatient little one. We do go alone and let the sitter watch him and have a leisurely dinner with no rushing from the wait staff. They're always attentive and our drinks are never empty. Food is right on the money, never a bad plate. It's exactly what I expect for the $20ish/plate price range.

I've been eating at Red Lobster since I was a kid. It was the go to place for my grandparents whenever there was something to celebrate. I've never been a big fan of seafood, but their shrimp is good and I've always found the service to be really great. The wait staff stays on top of the drink refills which, when you have a husband like mine, is very important. He drinks at least three glasses with every meal, and they have raspberry lemonade which we both love. One of our favorite dishes is the Cajun Linguini Alfredo; my husband gets the shrimp version and I get the chicken. This past Sunday I felt like trying something new, however, so I ordered the Pecan-Crusted Jumbo Shrimp which was recently added to the menu. Oh wow, they were even better than I imagined! I nearly made myself sick trying to finish every last one! Yummy in my tummy. I hope they keep that dish on the menu because I'll definitely be back for more.

This place has very clearly gone the way of the corporate restaurant. The only real example I need to give is the shrimp scampi. The shrimp are served pressed into a tightly-shaped ring, on a plate that is the exact size of the ring. The cooking has become totally idiot-proofed on a corporate level, and there is no doubt in my mind that this was a boil-in-bag appetizer (possibly even microwaved). That being said, service has always been speedy and you can't knock the cheddar buscuits no matter how refined your palate is. There are a few sad lobsters in the front do give you something to look at while waiting for a table (why is there always such a huge line at this place for such mediocre food?). I swear I'm not just trying to be a dick. Maybe I'm just used to real seafood restaurants where a cook will actually walk up and grab a lobster out of the tank.

I'm a healthy eater- so my options are limited. Melissa was the best server. I visited a few weeks ago and she read my mind when I said "Healthy Salad". She offered all the vegetables in the kitchen for it since I had to make omissions of the unhealthy options on the salad menu. Yesterday I went again and had a different server, Sara. She was very nice but didn't offer the kind of salad that Melissa did. I got iceberg lettuce, two slices of tomato and two slices of cucumber. It was the lamest salad I've ever seen.

Got food poisoning from here when they had the endless shrimp last time. Won't be going back. But the biscuits are delish.

Not my favorite location but I love Red Lobster regardless.

Love this place!!!!!!!! Go here when visiting friends. From management to waitresses, all friendly.

(4)Peter N.
(3)Emily B.

Great food Great price!

I cannot believe this place gets good reviews. There must be a lot of people who eat here that think fish sticks count as seafood! If you truely like seafood, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
