These guys deliver for restaurants who don't have delivery service. We use them regularly because we dread going out for pickup this winter. However, it has reached the point where we both fight over who has to call them. The guys who takes their orders (I think the owner) is incredibly rude. He is gruff and condescending on the phone. They cannot repeat a prior order (or I should say won't since my wife got them to do it once). He also acts exacerbated when you try to pay with a credit card. He actually once said to me, "It would be a lot easier for me if you would keep some cash in the house." Hey, I'm the customer aren't you supposed to make things easier for me? On top of it they charge extra for using a credit card. Net, net use them if you have to (you will get your food reasonably fast), but prepare yourself for a horrible customer experience. If I could back someone to setup a competing service I would!

I love the idea of having food delivered when select restaurants don't offer the opion, however, the customer service provided by Food 2 U is absolutely HORRIBLE! Our business orders from Food 2 U at least twice a week. Guaranteed 99.9% of the time we have dealt with nothing but pure rudeness. If you are busy and short on staff, hire more employees. That is no reason to justify your behavior while taking orders. At some point, we have heard screams from the employee on the line to his coworkers while in the middle of taking our order. Food 2 U finally tipped the glass over a few days ago when the an employee hung up on our receptionist when all she was trying to do is repeat the order since they never seem to get it right. She had to call him back and repeat the order. No apologies. Needless to say that was the last time we ever ordered from them. Food 2 U needs to understand and incorporate the true meaning of customer service. We have brought them plenty of business and what we have received in return is nothing but uncouth customer service. Best of luck to you Food 2 U, you are going to need it.

Second time I order and I never experience such awful customer service with same man . He was very rude and yelled at me about something not being on the menu that I was looking at . After he saw it he yelled stated that the only a lunch item but doesn't state that on menu. After being talked to so rude I just hung up in him and he calls me back . I will never use his service he really needs not work with the public . Very poor customer service skills.

From time to time, my coworkers and I utilize Food 2 U to order lunches in from local places that do not offer delivery service. This is very convenient if you want to order from such places as Quiznos, Home Run Inn, Buona or Subway. For the most part, our experience has been pleasant and reliable. However, in recent months, one of the workers (a man) who takes orders over the phone has been very rude and angry to several of our employees. While our employees recognize it must be out of stress as this service is very busy, it is not fair for him to take this out on the customers. If this is too much of a high pressure job for him, perhaps he needs to look at a position which does not cause him such a high level of irritability. Case in point: today, not only was he rude to our employee as she tried to place the order, but he also berated one of *his* employees while on the phone with her! This is really unacceptable on so many levels. We are going to go on a hiatus for a while until we try again and see if the customer service improves. I will write an update to keep fellow Yelpers informed...

Ok...this is in continuation of my first review. In that review, I mentioned how my order was messed up, and I was given a credit for my next purchase. So today I decided that I would use my credit to get another sandwhich from Buona, through F2U. The gentleman on the other end remembered the issue right away (the only positive): but I was told that Buona would not give a credit, and I could only use my credit with them to pay for the service fee ($3.50). Not only did I not get the sandwhich that I wanted; they have now taken money from me...and I can only get my money back, by spending more money...several times over. I will NEVER use this service again...and they can EAT my money that they stole from me. BEWARE of this scam service!!

Whether you had a long day at work, have had too much to drink, are feeling lazy, or just aren't in the mood to cook or pick up food, Food 2 U offers several restaurants from which they will pick up your order and deliver it to your door for $3.75. F2U delivers a wide variety of cuisine: Trohas: A fish house that serves up some of the best fried fish in the city. Recommended are the catfish, scallops and shrimp. The shrimp can be ordered boiled or fried. Bag of Fish: similar to Trohas, not quite as good. Klas & Riverside Restaurant: Bohemian/American. HEAVY! Breaded Pork, potato pancakes, WeinerSchnitzel, breaded fishies, stuff with lots of gravy. Tom's, Buona Beef, Portillos & Lucky Dog: Burgers, Beef, hot dogs. Robinson's & Famous Dave's: BBQ and for the timid, they offer Subway and Queeezno's. Food 2 U delivers to the suburbs immediately west of Chicago city limits, including Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, Cicero, Berwyn, Riverside, Brookfield and as far west as Westchester. It's an easy way to try some new restaurants from your very own living room.
