I haven't ordered from there in a while, the first thing is the girl on the phone is RUDE if she does not like her job she shouldn't be in customer service! So now for the pizza,I ordered a cheese ans sausage 14 inch and when it came there was no cheese on the pizza it had all slid off into the box.I called and she said she will replace it so I bit my tongue and said ok because my husband was starving, 45 min later the pizza came and it was the same exact way I almost flipped out I called back and told that RUDE girl on the phone and she never apologized or anything she wanted to send me another pizza I declined and said bring me back my money I done with this joke of a place!!! It's been a half hour and still no money back! I'll keep you posted on if I get my money back!

I started ordering from Anthonys a couple years ago because I received money saving coupons in the mail. We usually got the thin crust pizza which is really good. We also have gotten the broasted chicken which puts the big chicken chains to shame. Last week we decided to try the stuffed pizza......DELICIOUS! The sausage was not huge chunks, almost crumbly, the sauce was so good and the crust was the best I've ever had on a stuffed pizza. I am hooked on this stuffed pizza now. I would highly recommend Anthonys. The delivery service is awesome also. Keep those coupons coming Anthonys. What an extra plus in these hard economic times!

I'm basically basing this rating on the customer service skills that the phone person has. I recently moved to Berwyn and been ordering from here ever since. Long story short, the girl needs to get retrained or demoted to a position where he doesn't need to interact with any real person at all. Possibly the bathroom cleaner (off hours only) or night restock person. I just say this because there hasn't been not one time that where when you speak to any of them that makes you ever wanna go in and dine there any time soon. Besides they're service on the phone I only call to get the great 4 star food.

Not fine dining by no means for a pizza joint but what they do in the kitchen makes it a must go to when I travel from Naples FL. These guys have been making quality pizza for many years. Great crispy crust and fine quality cheese and sausage. Love this place.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. After being very loyal customers for many years, we just ordered a dinner and EVERYTHING but the "side" salad (included with a dish we didn't receive) was WRONG. After waiting on hold for a few minutes, I was told "it's not our fault" (the ticket had the order correct). I then went off, and FINALLY got a manager (after another 5 minutes on hold). It has been over an hour since we ordered and my wife NOW needs to cook dinner for our young child. FINALLY the manager offers us a $15 credit on a $30 bill that was completely wrong and missing items.

I've ordered a few times from here now and each time has been a bit of a disappointment. The thin crust pizza is mediocre and tastes cheap. On a Tuesday night it took an hour for delivery. The wings are not breaded, but are decent sized. The deep dish is good, but there is definitely better out there. Each time i've ordered the crust has not been crispy, but the cheese and topping were good. Overall, the prices are a bit cheaper than other places, but you're getting what you pay for. Next time i'll go somewhere else.

Anything you order from Anthony's is going to taste great. You just can't beat their $2.75 slice and a 12oz can of RC. These are big hearty slices made fresh. Choose between real mozarella cheese, or authentic italian sausage slices with a pan or thin crust. I usually have the large slice of thin crust sausage to go. Give them a try. My bet is that you'll be back and you'll tell friends about it. It is always busy and the employees work hard to provide a quality product. (A+ I've read many of the reviews people have posted about the "personalities" that work here. The main complaint seems to be that the employees have bad attitudes. Let me tell you, this couldn't be further from the truth. I have always found them to be kind hearted, warm, and personable.)

We've tried the pizza around the Berwyn area (and further) & have yet to find a better tasting pizza. Owner is really nice and dedicated to his business. Will continue ordering from here as a rule.. great pricing, deals, management.

I really really really wanted to like this place. The staff was very friendly, but the pizza was just meh.

Deep dish Pizza here is amazing! They sell pizza by the slice at a competitive price of $2.75. It's a grab and go type of place. The service is fast and the workers are polite and attentive. They have a broad menu, however I only get their pizza. I highly recommend this place.

Garbo pizza and service. First call to order the lady hung up when answering. Called back and she acted deaf. Delivery driver looked filthy and had long hair that ended up on my pizza box when handed to me. Yuck! Pizza crust aka cardboard. And it had black burnt particles from oven. Hey Anthony scrap the frickin oven. Then I felt sick soon after eating this with the wings. Garbo too! At least the RC 2 liter free pop was good. Yum We'll have more to say but got to go. This crap is coming back up ... to be cont

Pretty good for a 1am delivery. I was desperate one night when everything else was closed. Anthony's save the night! I ordered the hot wings too but they were like the microwave kind...yuck! But pizza was alright. I'll mos def order again on a late night crave.

When I lived in the area Anthony's was my pizza of choice. Crisp, tasty, and reasonable prices had me hooked. I have since moved from the area but make monthly treks back for some of the best pizza Chicagoland has to offer. Try it once and I believe you'll be hooked like me.

This place is nothing entirely special but they do provide decent, greasy, new york style slices at a great deal. If you want a slice really late that isn't Dinicos (because maybe you ate it way too much). Upsides: Price, reasonably fresh even very late. Downside: Location, location, location.

Outstanding pizza, outstanding catering. I use Anthony's Pizza several times per year for catering family events and employee recognition. I used to go to other more local places but the first time I came back with Anthony's the employees only want food from Anthony's for several years now. The owner and his son are really nice and friendly and always making sure the customers are satisfied. Staff is friendly and they care. Not sure what else you could ask for, great food, great service and a very fair price. I know of nowhere else where you can get a giant slice and a can of pop for 3 bucks out the door. Keep up the good work Anthony's.

Tony gave me a call personally today which as a small business woman myself I GREATLY appreciate him doing... He offered to replace the pizza and talked with me for a while too... I'd just like to say thank you for taking pride in your customer service and making sure your long time customers are taken care of... (for some reason this didn't post when I first did the update back in April of last year - sorry Tony!)

I'm tempted to give Anthony's 5 stars just because they serve a giant slice of pizza and a pop for $2.75! Although the pizza is pretty good, I wouldn't say its my favorite or its the best, but thats pretty tough to decide when you live near Chicago. I will get a lot of flack from friends that read this, but I like Anthony's pizza better than Freddy's. No doubt Freddy's has a lot to offer, but I just like Anthony's pizza more! Also, in fairness to Anthony's I haven't eaten anything but their pizza. Sorry Freddy, I'll be back for your great Italian sub:) Anthony's ambiance is pretty simple, but they get a thumbs up from me for having Groundhog Day on the TV and some auto classifieds to browse. I also noticed last time I was there, that all the workers were busting their humps. No standing around.

I'm what you like to call a Pizza snob. It's my go to food, and I know a lot about it. I can tell the difference between a solid pie and a crap za. That being said, I recently got the chance to try Anthony's Pizza. I was able to try both the stuffed and pan cheese pizzas. If you've read my previous reviews, you know that I'm a knife and fork pizza kind of guy, so these pizzas fit the bill perfectly! I will start with the Pan pizza. Pan Pizza is similar to deep dish a la Lou Malnati's, Gino's East, but Pan Pizza is covered with cheese. It is simply dough, sauce, then cheese (and toppings; mine did not have any). Note:Deep Dish Chicago, what most people think of, is Dough, Cheese, toppings, then topped with sauce. They are closely related, but not the same. I was pleasantly surprised by this pan pizza. If anyone has had Rosati's Pan, it is very similar, but the taste is much better. Anthony uses a top line cheese on his Pan Pizza, and he does not skimp on the cheese nor the sauce. I wasn't even thinking about trying the Pan, but I did, and I do not regret it! Sometimes the ratio of dough to cheese is unbalanced, but Anthony knows what he's doing. I highly recommend the Pan pizza. As good as the Pan pizza was, it cannot hold a candle to the Stuffed pizza! Full Disclaimer here: I LOVE STUFFED PIZZA. If you'd really like to grind my gears, refer to stuffed pizza as deep dish or pan. My blood pressure just went because I simply typed that. Anyways, Giordano's is the standard stuffed Chicago pizza. Some people also prefer Nancy's. Those are the 2 most famous stuffed franchises in Chicago. As far as I'm concerned, those two are the silver and bronze, respectively, to Anthony's stuffed PLATINUM pizza (Yeah, I skipped Gold because it's that much better). To have a good stuffed pie, you need the three elements to blend in a way that one is not too powerful over the other. Those three elements, in order of importance (TO ME), are sauce, cheese, and dough. I'll fully admit this: I am a sauce whore. I could drink pizza sauce for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. As for cheese, you can always tell a difference between the standard cheese from Sysco /GFS(used by plenty of chain pizzerias as well as some smaller stores; not a bad thing) or cheese ordered from an independent distributor (who is never revealed by a savvy business owner). As for the dough, I prefer one without cornmeal. I will explain stuffed pizza briefly now. From the bottom, it is dough, cheese/fillings, another thin layer of dough, topped with sauce. Definitely different from pan/deep dish (I understand that all 'knife and fork' pizza is cooked in a deep dish, but PLEASE stop confusing the two. Anthony's Stuffed pizza was amazing. The sauce was not too sweet or savory. It had a great amount of seasoning but nothing was overpowering. The cheese was very fresh and you could tell that it was not from a baggie. The dough was a winner as well. I prefer chewy stuffed crust pizza. If it is crunchy, I consider that a big disappointment. The crust was perfect; I prefer it a bit chewier than most, but this one fit the bill. Overall, the stuffed pizza was perfectly balanced. No one part was dominant, but they were all equally distributed and made for an excellent lunch (ask my stomach... I had 3 huge slices and was begging for more). You know Tony and family are doing something right. They've been around for 25+ years, and they know Pizza. I had a feeling the pizza would be better than Giordanos/Nancys, but now I know for sure. Berwynites, Ciceroans, and all of Chicagoland.... This is amazing Pizza. If you like those places, you will love Anthony's Pizza. Take his challenge... you will not be disappointed. THE PROOF IS IN THE PIE!

Pizza is pretty good, but the reason for the high rating is that FAST delivery. I got my pizza 20 minutes after ordering it. I was pretty shocked... the delivery man was friendly and the pizza piping hot.

I order from Anthony's at least once a week. I do love their pizza and think that the prices are good for broke people like me. Hence, I order here at least once a week, I buy the huge slice of pizza and a soda for $3 when I walk in. However, I am not a fan of anything else made here, this is what prevents me from adding the 5th star. If you crave pizza, order Anthony's. Anthony's has been our family favorite for several years.

  • David B.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Been coming here for years and just love the old school neighborhood vibe this place has. The slices are enormous and still use real italian sausage out of the casing instead of those rabbit pellets some of the fast food chains use. The crust is super thin and has just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The prices are extremely reasonable and I get great coupon deals pretty frequently. Only occasional issue is usually when I place a pick up order they will quote me a certain time to pick it, and I get there and it's usully not ready yet.

I've have mixed feelings about this place. I am giving it a 4-star due to the happiness that I have gotten from my experience recently. I've ordered delivery a couple of times from Anthony's Pizza as of late. The first time, my fiance' ordered the broasted chicken family meal (which came with broasted potatoes, corn bread, and cole slaw. The broasted chicken was good!). According to her, the young lady on the phone was nice. Can't complain. Today, I ordered a small stuffed crust pizza with sausage and jalapenos (these jalapenos were the ones that you get fresh from the Mexican tienda (store). Man was the pizza great! I also ordered the stuffed mushrooms. The stuffed mushrooms were sauteed in wine, butter, garlic and bread crumbs. Tasty. However, since I ordered delivery, the stuffed mushrooms were a bit soggy. Will not order unless it is dine-in. The young lady on the phone was very nice and respectful. I've read recently that the customer service sucks here. I did pay Anthony's a visit last year to dine-in. It was busy. Guys back there were busy and running around trying to get the orders fast. It looks like they were flustered, and so was the guy taking my order. The guy was kinda rude himself. Not acceptable. Maybe they switch around their people taking the orders several times throughout each shift? Maybe their rudeness depends on the time, date, weather? Not sure what's going on. The consensus states that their service sucks, than more than likely it is true, and they should take care of that pronto. I stated, I haven't received any bad service from them lately. So perhaps they have read their reviews and changed it up a bit. I don't want to say tread softly when you come to this place, but, give this place a chance. You never know. If the bad service comes from dining in only, call in for deliver. The delivery guy was cool himself.

Great taste, bad customer service. Their pizza is the best in town however the lady taking orders over the phone is always rude and cold. I would've given them 5 stars if the service was better.

I ordered the pan crust and it was all dough. Spent $50 on two pizza and still staring at most of it. Expensive and not impressive.

I always come in and order a couple thick slices, price is good for what you get, the cheese quality could be better, but to each it's own, My uncle has always ordered from this place, pizza is good! I'm more of a Paisan's fan, they have the sweet sauce that I like. One thing though! Anthony's what's up with the damn cashier? I went in today and was happy he was not there, my boyfriend and I haven't walked in this place in a while because of that creepy cashier you guys have, he has the attitude of a straight D$%# does he smile? I'm scared :( if I don't go back again it's because of him and those raggedy looking delivery drivers. They look like druggies, clean those men up please!!!

All I have had from Anthony's is the thin crust pizza, so that is what I'm reviewing. My wife and I have had the pepperoni pizza twice and thought it was great both times. The crust is thin but not super thin and crunchy like some thin crust pizzas. I like that it's not too thin because the crust still adds flavor. They were very generous with the pepperoni and it had a great flavor. We will definitely order again.

  • Dan P.

Our go-to place for delivery -- we always get the thin crust and we've been ordering almost once a week for five years. So let's say it's been 40 pies a year, for a total of 200 pies. Of those 200, maybe 4 have been sub-standard. That's an amazing average. I'm not saying it's the best pizza I've ever had, but for the price and especially for the SPEEDY delivery, when you don't feel like cooking...it's good stuff.

  • Natalie R.

We have ordered at least 100 pizzas from here over the last three-four years. Their other food is great too. I will never move outside of their delivery area unless forced or under duress.

  • Jean S.

I was a big fan of this place but the last couple, two, tree I've ordered from here, not so good anymore. Switched over to Paisan's! I don't know what happened here but their pies are not up to par anymore, also a hassle to park here for pickup. Creepy pizza delivery guys hanging around out front doesn't impress me either.

    (2)
  • Senorita J.

I personally like my pizza thin crust and this place makes it just right without it being too dry. I also enjoy that they are generous with their toppings.

Excellent place. Usually get delivery, but occasionally take out. Try the spinach pizza, it's ultra good. I've ordered the lasanga and manicotti from here as well and they're goooooooooood! You can get a pizza with a six pack of RC for like 15 bucks delivered. Really good deal. Oh yeah the cannoli rocks too! The broasted chicken dinner is also a great deal for 11 bucks, I believe. :)

  • John L.

Anthony's delivers consistently good thin crust pizza. The sauce is a little sweet, but not too sweet. The sausage is meaty and flavortul and the only thing about the crust I am not 100% satisfied with is that it's not crispy. But it's still good. It's not cracker crust like D'Agostino's. Also good at Anthony's are their Broasted Chicken dinners and Fetuccini Alfredo. They used to have an "anniversary special" that went on for about 5 years or so, which consisted of a large thin crust pizza and liter of pop for $6.99! Couldn't beat that, but it's sadly gone. I'll still order from there though. That damn broasted chicken is like crack!

  • Billy S.

Have ordered a number of pizzas from this place, typically when friend are over. They've all liked it a lot. For price & flavor it's a pretty good deal. I've twice ordered the 'broasted' chicken...possibly because I got amnesia between the first & second times. It smells and tastes like it's been deep-fried (not sure where the 'broasting' comes in) in very old oil. It is really good going down, but possibly better off being used as a laxative. Next time I (like Homer Simpson) need to do some Spring Cleaning, I will order this chicken.--What a waste of a good bird.

  • Sara M.

My 1st review I gave 4 stars but i have 2 change that. when I first started ordering pizza from here we really liked it we would order at lease once a week, UNTIL they started making their pizza VERY cheap it was coming as thin as cardboard sprinkled with cheese I thought it was a 1 time thing maybe it was a different cook making it but no every time after that its always the same cardboard thin pizza so no more anthonys for us.

Tony, Tony, Tony... Is it okay if I call you Tony? You made a last minute decision to take a chance on an unknown pizza joint so very worth my while. I ordered a small sausage and giardiniera pie, and a short 45 minutes later, ta-da! Ordering via phone is quick, precise, completely respectable. They always confirm before charging a credit card, just in case you have a coupon. A nice touch. The giardiniera wasn't too spicy or oily, but just the right amount of tang. Sausage was a bit large, but that's okay by me! The crust is unique. It reminds me a bit of a biscuit, in that it doesn't get chewey or soggy. Good as leftovers, too.

  • Dave F.

I don't know where they are located or even if they have dine-in. They dropped some coupons off at my condo building so we thought we would try their delivery out. I have to say that they have an excellent pizza at a very reasonable price. We are going to be regulars.

  • The J.

Anthony's is the place I go in Berwyn when I want a slice of pizza. It's not as big as Bacci's, but it's big and I like the sauce and their sausage better and it's only $2.75, which includes a can of pop. They also make an excellent stuffed pizza. Anthony's also has very good Broasted Chicken Dinners for a good price and their thin crust pizza is as good as any place in the area.

  • Dmitriy O.

Delivery is easy and on time. The pizza is very good. LOVE the sausage pizza. The one thing that bothered me a bit was that the cheese will sometimes slide right off the pizza, which can be incredibly annoying. Overall, great place.

  • Vanessa P.

I know the owners, sort of. Good pizza with a decent delivery time. The sauce is a bit sweet and the crust is thin. They also throw a good amount of toppings on there to boot. All around good pizza.

    (4)
  • Laurie R.

We order from here quite a bit. Love their crust (on the thin one) and they are generous with the toppings. They send you coupons in the mail, and have a frequent flier-type thing going on. It's usually about 45 minutes to get here, and if they screw up, they make it right. And I love that they have spinach, which seems like a lot of places don't--that alone keeps me calling back for more.

    (4)
  • Mike A.

Fast delivery. I love their Fried Chicken Dinners. Good thin crust pizza. Good stuffed pizza, though I wish the sauce was more flavorful. Kinda doughy, but OK.

    (4)
  • Ray N.

They're decent. The slices are not as large as other places, but they're a somewhat-sweet pizza place. They're only a few blocks from my house but we usually order Al's out of tradition, I guess. They're not bad though.

In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
