Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Might as well stick with the tacos as they met my approval, big meat chunks are always a good sign. Tried a chicken enchilada dinner, little expensive at $8.99. Was spicy as hell! Could sense pepper seeds with every bite. Inside was rather divey, but what do you expect a taco joint in Aurora to look like? Service was good, very generous with the condiments, got 6 hot sauce containers and a whole lime!

This place is CRAZY good!!! The salsa on the tables are wonderful and the food beats hands down the best Mexican restaurants in Chicago AND Mexico. My wife and I stop every time we are in Aurora. It an absolute gem. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This place used to be Taqueria Los Cabritos. Changed hands a few months ago. So we took a trip and it was worth it. They painted and updated the building a little. The neon makes it easier to find. And there's a couple tables outside, too. Very good tacos, and a really good guacamole. They serve breakfast, too. So maybe I'll stop in and see how that is.

Took a trip to Taco Movil. I had heard about the place when I was on a field trip with my sister's second grade class. The son of one of the people who work or own the place is in her class. He had told me all about the restaurant on the bus and brought a flier in to class for my sister to pass on to me. Since my daughter was going on a field trip with the class this week, I thought it would be fun for us to get lunch there so she could tell him she ate there. The place is small, just a few tables, but it's clean. We were definitely welcomed there, and the people were all really nice. The mom of the boy in my sister's class waited on us and was so excited to hear about how we knew about the place. She had been wondering why her son was taking a flier to school! We were immediately brought chips and two salsas along with a bowl of limes that we could use to accent our food. The red salsa had the smoky flavor of chipotle. The green salsa was nice and tangy. It was nice to go back and forth between the two. We ordered some guacamole and it was really good. It was freshly made, nice and chunky, and really hit the spot. It was a huge portion, so we ended up needing more chips. The waitress noticed and brought them out before we even asked. You can order as many tacos, flautas, etc as you want. My daughter had chicken flautas which she said were really good. I had a chicken taco and a taco al pastor (pork.) Both were packed with meat and really tasty. I felt the whole time as if we were eating what the owners would serve in their own home. It was all good. I left very full and did not need dinner after such a nice lunch. I will go back.

Taco Muniz #2 just opened up a few months ago and is an extension of Taqueria Muniz on Lake street. Let me start by saying my friends ,family, and myself love the one on Lake street. The food is great every time we go, only thing we wish the tacos would stop getting smaller. Anyways the staff and owner there are wonderful as well. We were all excited to hear that they opened up a new location on Aurora avenue,Tacos Muniz 2 . This location is much closer for us to go more often and also during lunch time. Well my friend went in to pick up our order ,some tacos ,huaraches etc and we were so disappointed . The taste of the meat was NOT the same and I know the tacos are small but these were pretty pathetic. It was mostly onions and cilantro and barely any meat. Even the Comales tacos that are the same size tortillas pack them with lots of meat. The rest of the food was also bland. We were all pretty bummed out. I'm writing this review not to be mean but in hopes that they see this and make some changes. We want them to succeed, as again we love the restaurant on Lake street. Please if you can make your food the same as the original restaurant but with a little more meat, you will have our business again. We are willing to give you another chance, crossing fingers next time will be just as good as the original.

I've been to this place when it was located closer to downtown. They have great tacos & the tortas were huge. I ordered a chorizo burrito, but it seemed to have all the same ingredients as the torta & not much chorizo. Great service & very friendly attitudes. Would probably go back just for tacos!
