Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Was coming back from Vaughan Center and wanted some authentic mexican food. Looked this place up on yelp and it was close by and had good rating, although only 3 reviews but I decided what the hey. The couple who owned the place were so nice and the place was very quaint and clean but sadly the food was just ok. I always get more food than I can eat especially with a new place and I take home the rest for leftovers. I had the chicken and beef tacos...wow they were small...literally I ate each of them in two bites and they were somewhat dry and had little flavor for my taste. The chicken quesadilla was good except the cheese was not consistently spread so some parts of the quesadilla had no cheese. The chicken burrito was my favorite and I really liked the taste. If I go back, I'm sticking to the burrito. The prices were very inexpensive. I would go back if I'm in the area but not something I would drive out of my way for.

No changes to my previous review, but I wanted to add that I was in the area for business again a week later and stopped by for lunch. We came in at about 11 or 11:30AM, and wanted tacos and burritos. Unfortunately, they said they were only serving tamales at the moment. I love tamales, but I wanted more for lunch and decided to leave. Kind of odd that they were open, but weren't ready to serve their whole menu. Because of that, I would drop my rating to 3.5 stars if possible.

Kinda hard to find place situated in a quiet plaza next to a paint store. Small place that's ran by a really nice lady. Very good tacos, they were very small, like 2 bites worth, but those tend to be the most flavorful. They're hot green sauce wasn't intense. Wouldn't recommend the Cubana torta as the breaded steak was soggy, had no flavor, and could only since the breading, but not the steak. Had a comfortable interior for being a hole-in-the-wall restaurant.

Señor Taco is a great little restaurant tucked away where you'd least expect it -- in a strip center of offices. The nice thing about that is that you not only get great food and even greater service (the owners are such a sweet couple, happy to make suggestions from their tasty menu options!), you don't have to fight crazy shopping crowds to get it. And they also offer take-out (which is especially nice for lunchtime during the summer months!). I definitely recommend this place. They serve the traditional foods of Jalisco, Mexico. Real, traditional, un-Americanized Mexican food!! (Really good prices, too!!)

I didn't get the chance to try the food, so this review is based purely on service, which was terrible. I stopped in on a Friday at noon. When I walked in, the place was empty. A woman yelled something in Spanish from the kitchen. I walked up to the counter and said excuse me. She poked her head out and repeated herself, still in Spanish. Now, I know enough Spanish to barely get by and, if he or she is willing, suffer through to place an order. But I didn't understand her question, so I politely told her I was sorry, but I don't speak Spanish. She said "Mande?" Which I understood, and repeated that I don't speak Spanish. The woman just stared at me. So I asked her if I could order two burritos to go. She said, "No. Tacos?" I told her no, thank you, and asked again if I could order carry out. She said no, and went back into the kitchen. No explanation, no "thanks, come again" or any courtesy whatsoever. Upon walking out, I noticed on that door the words "carry out /orden para llevar." Clearly, they offer carry out. Whether the woman was too busy (which was a joke, because the lobby was completely empty), or simply didn't want to deal with the language barrier. Either way, I won't be returning to try again. This place is conveniently located on my way home from work, so Senor Taco lost a lot of potential business today.
