Ladies and Gentleman it's Mike's Way or the Highway. Nah, not really, they are very accommodating on how you would like to customize your sandwich. It's true there prices are a little higher than some other sandwich shops, but Jersey Mike's also uses better quality ingredients. They slice the meat and cheese right off the slabs when you order, so you know it's going to be good. For me, it's always Mike's way, love that vinegar, oil, and spices on top of my sandwich. I think it has a lot more flavor compared to Jimmy John's or Subway. The hot sandwiches are quite tasty as well, and always at a great temperature (Never luke warm or cold). The staff are always very friendly and talkative. It has a more of a local type of feel rather than a typical chain in my opinion. I like that they have a sub club where after so many sandwiches bought you get a free one. The inside is quite cozy with a fair number of tables and also a couple of TVS. For the cold sandwiches, my favorites are the Tuna Fish and also the Club Supreme. The tuna fish has really good flavor to it, and the Club Supreme has some choice roast beef and turkey topped with some mayo and bacon. If you get it Mike's Way, then you are in for a flavor sensation, For the hot sandwiches, my favorites are the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak and the Meatball and Cheese sandwich. Steak piled high with mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, and lots of cheese...how can you go wrong? Also, with the meatball sandwich, the provolone cheese melts just right on top of the meatballs, so it's literally mouth watering. The sandwiches are quite filling, so if you go how hungry, you better order the giant sub next time (These are good for splitting between two people as well). Lulu's Froyo is right next door as well as Caribou Coffee, so if you are in the mood for something a little sweet or a nice little caffeine buzz you have this option is there for you as well.

Fresh. Fast. Inexpensive. And the "mini" fills you up. My favorite is the turkey and provolone. The "Jersey Shore" had less flavor than I thought. Better than Jimmy Johns. You get a better quality sandwich in terms of ingredients and portion. And the sandwiches just taste better. Subway doesn't make the mark. I've been inside the Plainfield restaurant: clean, and great customer service. One of my new favorite sandwich places.

No matter how busy this place gets, the employees are always super friendly (and quite hilarious, actually). My favorite go-to is the chicken parmesean sub with extra sauce and extra cheese. It's always hot (and nummy) by the time I dive into it, and the chicken is always fresh. A much better alternative to Subway, that's for sure!

I usually get the turkey sub and hubs gets the steak. Reasonably priced and you get a LOT of food. I usually almost always split mine for 2 meals (we're talkin at least a 16" sub if I had to guess). Love that these are poppin up everywhere :)

This is more of 3.51 star then full 4 review. You can count on a decent sandwich here, not the cheapest one but definitely of a higher quality then competition. What I don't care for is the inconsistent and at times very long wait and what seems rather slow service. Most of us don't want to wait 15 minutes for a cold cut sandwich.

First, let me start with an apology. I'm sorry the guy making my #13 sandwich hated making them. Though, him telling his bored looking co-worker next to him that didn't seem to perk her up any. Next time I'll ask him the sandwich he enjoys making and adjust my order accordingly.

Recently, we had a party to celebrate my wife's graduation from nursing school, and she wanted to have sandwiches from here. No argument on this side! The lady who took the catering order was friendly and honest about pricing, and the order was on time and decently priced. The employees at the store even carried our order to the car for us! (They do offer delivery for catering.) Most importantly, the sandwiches (Turkey, Ham and Provolone, Italian) were delish and were popular with everyone at the shindig. No big surprise there. We'll continue to go there for single meals, as well as for any future catering needs. Without a doubt.

I don't normally review chain/franchise locations, but when you're addicted to a sandwich like I am and have always friendly service like at this place, they deserve it. The sandwich is the #41, which is the #56 (Big Kahuna Cheesesteak with chipotle sauce). It's the best cheese steak I remember eating, and the bread (rosemary parmesan), meat (thinly sliced steak-should probably get the chicken for my health every so often), and veggies (mushrooms, onions, jalapenos and cherry peppers) mix together with extra cheese (part of the sandwich, not additional extra) quite well. The sauce might be overkill, but it's a tangy extra that gives it a little more heat. The staff overall is friendly, but the manager (don't recall his name, have seen him at this location many times and at the Naperville 75th Street location I believe) has a contagious demeanor which rubs off on other employees and customers. Clean as well, which is never a bad thing.

So slow! We were there on a Saturday at lunch. Painfully slow. The set up and flow is horrible. This location you walk in and tables are on both sides of the line that forms. Somebody's butt is always right next to your food. Then you tell the first person what you want. Then you tell the second person what you want on it Then you tell the cashier what you had. How about you right it down? Highly inefficient and oh so slow. I get the idea of slicing the meat as you order the sandwich but come on- use some common sense when it's busy. The bread at this location also tasted old. We cleaned off our own table too. Most locations are better than this.

TERRIBLY INEFFICIENT Dont get me wrong, the subs are delicious and fresh, but what got me was the inefficient process of creating the subs. One line for hot subs, one for cold (no signs to tell you that, just yelling to customers), the menu numbering is goofy, that and so many hand-offs in the process (employees running all over the place in a frenzy), then when they put the toppings on the sandwich, they WAIT for a bunch of sandwiches to queue up in a row before topping them off one at a time and releasing them in a bunch.. My sandwich was first. But instead of putting topings on it, they guy waited for the next sandwich, then the next one, then a fourth before finally asking me if I wanted my toppings 'Mikes way' - sure. So he topped it off, then asked the next cutomer how he wanted it, then the next customer, and the next one before putting the top on mine and wrapping it up to send it to the cashier. So in essence, I waited for the 3 people in line BEHIND me before getting my sandwich to the cashier. Queue bursting is not efficient.

The best sub I have had in a while, beats out any sub shop in the area! The bread was so fresh, like a nice Italian bread, a little crisp & chewy on the outside. I had a turkey & provolone sub, but not Mike's way - I had lettuce, tomato, onion & mayo. It was great, the way a sub should be. Next time I will try it Mike's way.

why can't they understand what no vinegar means. every time I visit they get it wrong

I had a really good beef and cheese sub here but the meatball sub I picked up and brought home for my friend was just about inedible. It was so saturated with mediocre sauce and mushy meatballs ,that attempting to eat the soggy bread was out of the question. If I had only had that sub I would have given this place 1 star. The cost of the nasty sandwich was $7.99, a real rip off for something that gross. The staff was super friendly although their sandwich "dressing" was very inefficient. The "Mike's Way" topping is way too much liquid to put on bread, it makes it really messy, but the sub makers were happy to go light on the dressing which made it just right. Overall the cold sandwich I got was much tastier than the $5 footlong sub place everybody knows, but it should have been since it was much pricier. My recommendation, if you get a hot sandwich make sure it's not the meatball. The cold ones seem like the best bet.

Jersey Mikes sandwiches are the furthest thing from a Jersey hoagie. These things are tasteless lumps of gross. If you want sandwich that comes close to a real Jersey hoagie, go to Jimmy Johns and get a gargantuan.

This chain is a lot like Jimmy Johns. I thought the ingredients were fresher here, and the bread was just as good as JJ's. I loved the red wine vinaigrette. The big quip I have was the price. Jimmy Johns gives you a better deal for your dollar. However, if I had to choose between the two based on taste alone, then Jersey Mike's would win.

Lunch with the kids after their basketball game. I still don't understand why this franchise staffs so many people that stand around and look around while customers are waiting in line. If the subs weren't decent, I'd go elsewhere. There's no need to be waiting around to order a sub. Not to mention one of the employees was chewing gum behind do the line. Gross. Compare this to Augustino's, who can crank out some food and keep a very long line moving... No comparison. Counter service is very easy to master. Just focus on the customers... 2 stars for subpar counter service.

I've been to many other JM's but this was my first visit at this store. The line can get long, but luckily it moves quickly. I always get the same thing; a #56 which is the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. You get your choice of steak or chicken (I always get chicken) and it's topped with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos, and cheese. I get it as is, minus the mushrooms (yuck!) The employees are very friendly here and have a good sense of humor, which is appreciative when you are standing in a line 15 deep behind the unemployed, the spring breakers, and the stepford wives of Naperville with toddlers on their hips and all you want to do is get your food, get out, and get back to the cube farm in the time allotted by your employer for your lunch break. I agree with Angela P.; it's way better than Jimmy John's and although it may cost a bit more, you'll taste the quality. Everything is made to order. There's no tubs of cold cuts displayed behind the glass for you to gawk at and wonder "How old is that ham?" Besides that, the restaurant itself is clean. Go here, eat, and be happy.
(4)
Nicole W.
Love Jersey Mikes-not this location though! Poor service, had to repeat my order several times, asked for no cheese, got cheese. Half the meat the worker cut ended up on the counter instead of the bread. Bread was hard. Workers wanted to socialize instead of making subs. Took forever to pay for my subs that are sitting there waiting to be wrapped. Will not go here again, will go to my usual location by 75th and 59.

Went in to get a sandwich, I placed my order and as it was being made I noticed just how filthy it was behind the counter. The condiments where everywhere, on the floor the counter and mixed in with each other. I took my sandwich and headed over the get my drink. The drink counter had pop spilled all over the place. I tossed my food in the trash on my way out , never even opening up the sandwich. I have never been to New Jersey, but I hope all there restaurants aren't as dirty. The thing that made me post this review is I filled out a comment card on line on the Jersey Mikes website an never got any response back. I guess they don't care about there customers.

The sandwiches are just above par. This is one of the only places close enough to go for lunch at work so I do not have much of a choice. The sandwiches are large and that is very well represented on your receipt. Everything tastes pretty much the same and if you get the sandwich 'Mike's Way", then get ready for a gallon of oil and vinegar to be poured onto your meat, which leaves you with a soaking, drippy sandwich. The meat is freshly cut in front of you, which is a nice bonus, but the sandwiches just do not have much flavor. Save yourself a few dollars and go to subway. "Do you want it Mike's Way?" - No, I want it to be good.

Another visit yesterday - Service is still top notch. Sandwich is AWESOME. The consistency here is fantastic. A lot of places start to head downhill a few months after their grand opening - not this place! One good note - and a concern I had in terms of business viability - they seem to be running a much more lean staff schedule. No more crowding of employees behind the counter. Makes me feel better; wouldn't want this place to be a 1 year wonder as a result of over staffing. Good job Jersey Mike's!!

I am proud to say that I was the first customer for this particular location. Great flavors for sandwich making. Big, fresh portions and deli-meats that are top quality. For cold sandwiches, I always get "Mike's Way" (finishing with olive oil, red wine vinegar, and seasoning). It is a little on the pricey side though.
(4)
Margie H.
I really like this place. Great tasting fresh subs anyway you like em. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. I started going here because of a fundraiser they were having for the family of a girl that was killed in a car accident. I thought it pretty remarkable for a business to help raise money for this family. I will always be a fan of Jersey Mike's.
(5)
Jon G.
I went to another Jersey Mike's. The subs are good, the portions are big, but way too expensive. The portions are almost too big for me, and I can throw down with some serious subs. They should decrease the sizes of the subs and lower the prices. Even though I like the subs, the prices here are WAY too high.
(2)

Friendly service, big screen tv's, a clean atmosphere, and large delicious sandwiches! You can't go wrong with this place if your looking for some good sandwiches. They sell at a premium but your getting freshly cut meat and cheese made the way you want it.

One of the best subs I have had in a long long time !!! for me, to have my lunch meat sliced right in front of me with a really deli slicer says a lot to me about a place! they take the time to get it right. also the customer services is great, they are very quick to greet you and and get your order , they also take the time to chat you up ! its the little things that can make or break a place and this place is awesome !

Had my first sandwich at this place earlier in the week and was pretty happy with the experience. When you arrive, you are greeted by the staff and they are very friendly and talkative throughout your entire order. When you decide on the sandwich, they slice the meat right in front of you and prepare the sandwich. They suggest it "Mike's Way" which is the preferred toppings I guess. I ordered a regular size sandwich and let me tell you, it was huge. Much larger than I expected. The sandwich itself was very good. The bread was freshly baked and tasted great. Their prices are right on par with what they are selling. The restaurant itself is a nice typical sandwich shop. They have a few flat screens with ESPN running, which is nice to see if you are just grabbing lunch. The place was pretty good and is a good option for lunch in this area.

This is the best sub shop I have ever encountered, sorry Mr. Sub, but I've moved on. Meats and cheeses sliced right in front of you, delicious fresh bread, and the right blend of seasonings make me crave Mike's. In addition to some unique hot and cold sub selections, Mike's also has original iced tea selections to choose from - the Ginger Blueberry will blow your mind.

They finally opened a Jersey Mike's by my work so we all had to give it a go. I got one of their "hot" subs. It was HUGE and a little to greasy for my liking. I did go back and got one of their wraps and that was amazing!! The place was very clean and the staff was excellent. I don't really see what is setting them apart from any other sub shops but when I am sick of Subway and Jimmy Johns, this place fulfills my sandwich cravings! I do wish they had what New Jersey is known for....HOAGIES! That would really set them apart from any other sub shop.

Today was my first time at Jersey Mike's and I'll definitely be returning. The service was fantastic, genuine and fast. When I told them it was my first time, they recommended that I try a cold sub first. They asked what kinds of meats I liked and BAM they suggested the #9: Club Supreme. It had everything that I love in a sub. While they were slicing the fresh meats, they let me sample a slice of the turkey and a slice of the roast beef. They tasted better than what I'd get at my local grocery store deli! The amount of meat they put in the subs is incredible! They pack in soo much meat that you would think you were stealing! They even threw in a free cookie for my first time visit. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone that appreciates subs! I can't wait to go back to try their hot subs like their cheesesteaks or chicken parm.

The STAFF is what makes me and my husband come back. They are so friendly and are so knowledgeable about EVERYTHING on the menu. I'm not the biggest fan of the subs, but my husband can't get ENOUGH.

If you want a fun, lively crew making you a fresh deli style sandwich this is the place to go. I like that they still slice the meat right in front of you. Gives you a fresh sandwich taste that others may lack. Only problem sometimes the line might get long but they hustle threw it and still with great service !

I had the Famous Philly hot sub from Jersey Mike's for the first time today. It was absolutely delicious!!! I ordered the regular size and it was huge. I will definitely become a repeat customer.

They should decrease the sizes of the subs and lower the prices. Even though I like the subs, the prices here are WAY too high.
