Gaslite Manor was amazing for our wedding!! George was the absolute best!!! He made our day super easy from start to finish, and was always able to answer all of my questions! I was here for a wedding recently and I honestly didn't even know this place existed prior to that. It IS conveniently located right off of 88. The reception was held elsewhere so this review is just for the chapel. The chapel is very cute and small, but needs some renovation. The carpeting/furniture inside is older and a little dingy, and the chairs are insanely small. Like yes I am a large gal but these were tiiiiny. It was also a hot July day but the chapel was sweltering - I can't even imagine how the bride felt in a ten zillion pound dress. All in all the place was passable for a wedding but I think brides who scrutinize detail would leave disappointed (and warm).

I went for a wedding at the banquet hall and chapel. The space and service was really good! The food was just ok. The salad was bagged lettuce and the bread was kind of stale. The meat was well done and the potatoes too think. The shrimp were the best part of the meal!

I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere but at Gaslite Manor. George is such an endearing person that you immediately feel comfortable with entrusting him to host your wedding. I prefer utilizing family owned and operated businesses because I want to support my local community. George has become a fixture in the Aurora community. He supports local charities and businesses. George and his staff truly love what they do. When I introduced my now husband to him, Adrian immediately liked him and was excited to have our reception with him. We had an over-the-top vision for our travel themed wedding and he took it to the next level. When we walked into the banquet room for the first time seeing everything together, we were speechless. Our wedding reception looked as if it came straight out of a David Tutera sketch book. George and his family own three locations. Gaslite Manor in Aurora, (which has an onsite wedding chapel) Lincoln Inn Banquets in Batavia and Courtyard Banquets in Warrenville. We held our wedding here last week, and have nothing but compliments for the staff of Gaslite. We received amazing reviews from the guests on all the food items in our buffet, and everyone was pleasant to work with and very accommodating. We were provided with plenty of time to setup the chapel/banquet hall the previous night as there were no events booked.

We attended a wonderful wedding here. The biggest advantage is that the chapel is steps from the reception area. NO EXTRA DRIVING! The food was delicious and plentiful and the ladies room was large enough to accommodate the women from multiple functions. Works for me.

I stood up as a bridesmaid for a wedding and reception here in July 2008. It was a nice place. Cute, small chapel. No real place for the bride to get ready, though. But a local Holiday Inn in Naperville provided free shuttles, so we all got ready at the hotel. The reception hall is next door to the chapel, all one parking lot. So that was nice. It's all wheelchair accessible, which was great since I was recovering from a broken leg at the time, and there were some elderly guests. They don't allow outside food vendors, but you can bring in your own photography, not sure about flowers. The bride and groom I stood up for chose a buffet style. I remember the food as pretty good, but not good enough to remember any specifics. They did allow the bride and groom to have a horse-drawn carriage on the grounds for pictures. And there was a beautiful view of the sunset from the windows that faced the front of the reception hall. As much as I liked the place, it's not an option for my upcoming wedding because of the in-house-only catering (too expensive for our budget). There's also no real place for smokers to sit outside the reception hall, and most of my friends smoke.
