Great place! Friendly, helpful employees-- had a delicious Thai chicken wrap and loved my peaches n' silk smoothie. Will be returning!

This place has funky hours. I feel like every time I want to go there they are closed. I did get there once while they were open and enjoyed the smoothie, but the hours aren't the most convenient.

Awesome place... I love their wraps... food is unbelievable good. I love their smoothies, but my favorite is Avocolada Smoothie .... The Service is friendly and prompt. This is going to be my first favorite place for smoothies. Nidya

Came here for tacos and smoothies with friends. Smoothies are good. Service is fast. Some of our tacos were cold on the inside though. The meat and fish wasn't raw, just cold in places.

Great place to get out of the fast food grind. Refreshing smoothies and great food. Service was friendly and prompt. This location was clean with ample space. Parking seems like it could be a bit tricky but worth it in my opinion.

Some would say that you can't argue with $4 24oz smoothies, but since it wasn't any better than other smoothies I've had in this area, I think you can. Being cost effective is great, but being of quality is better. I went in after hearing they had some great healthy options and a veggie wrap, but was pretty disappointed to see that the only veggie option was that veggie wrap, though they can make any of their other sandwiches without the meat for you, but it's still the same $7 price tag... ouch! Essentially, I paid $7 for 2 slices of tomato, a bunch of chopped iceberg and some unnervingly cold guacamole on 2 slices of wheat bread with a little cookie on the side. Major let down and I might have nightmares about that guac. Was it defrosting or something? I mean, I ordered a smoothie, but it was the guac on my sandwich that gave me a brain freeze. My boo ordered the $7 veggie hummus wrap- which in comparison to my no-turkey+guac sandwich was extraordinary, but overall and in any regular setting or up against any average sandwich, this wrap isn't winning any awards... plus neither of us left very full and ended up eating again less than 2-hours later. I felt like since the place had 'smoothie' in the title that I had to get one to test out the waters. I went with the Peaches N Silk, because peaches are damn delicious and because the other options all seemed kind of generic with some blend of oranges, strawberries and/or bananas as the filler fruit base. Boring. I know the thing's only $4, but I could buy a V8 Blend for $1 and just freeze that. I could only see part of the final blender thing, so I don't know that any real fruit was even used in the smoothie. What I saw get blended was ice cubes and an already liquid mixture... not super impressive if you ask me. The decor in the place is minimal with a few bright walls and some accent decor made to look like thatched roofing and bamboo walls, and the table-stands all have little cards hawking the franchise. Essentially, It's a cheaper and more paired down Jamba Juice, but if you like that sort of thing I would defo say to give TSC a try as it's cheaper, pretty close to the same product and the staff here are just as friendly/bubbly as jubilant Jamba crew.

I don't like how the smoothies only come in one size: the super-sized smoothie quantity of 24 ounces. I'm not sure how this allows a person to "Eat better. Feel better.", which is the restaurant's slogan, especially considering the super-sized amount of sugar in those super-sized 24-ounce smoothies as indicated in the nutritional information chart.

I love this place. I've tried different types of smoothies and all of them were very satisfying. My favorite tho is either the health nut or the island green. Make sure to check those out. Also the early bird breakfast wrap sandwich is very good and tasty!

I never knew this place was here and am so glad I found it today! OK, so their smoothies are 24oz, which is HUGE! I'm a 12oz kind of woman. To top it off, the smoothie was four dollars. FOUR DOLLARS. For 24oz. Amazing. I had the Peaches N Silk: peaches, bananas, strawberries. My usual combination with an addition of peaches. It tasted very much like Jamba Juice, which is a huge plus because I'm addicted to Jamba. But Jamba dear? Tropical Smoothie might have replaced you. Where else could I get a delicious 24oz smoothie (that I'm STILL drinking at the moment, by the way) for four dollars!? Yep, that's what I thought. On a side note, the girl behind the counter asked me if I worked at a specific place. When I told her that yes, yes, I did, she said, "You checked me out at the register before." I thought I had recognized her! So weird that she was my customer and today I was hers. Major props to her memory. This establishment has also cute, colorful tropical decor and seating. I was the only one in here today (at 4:30pm on a weekday in March) but I hope to see more people here in the summer. When the weather warms up and my Chai tea latte addiction is substituted with my smoothie addiction, you'll find me here.

5 stars for food and smoothies. 1 star for employees (except the tall blond girl who seemed like the only one on the ball and friendly.). I'd visit another smoothie cafe, but not so sure about this location... Edit: Since visiting this one, I've been to Lincolnshire - and it's better. Went back to this one. Got better service, but the manager is a putz. He doesn't even acknowledge people when he's sitting right there.

Update--I wrote the corporate offices. No answer. Mystery solved: bad company. These guys are mean and surly. Seemed really hung over or something.

From the get go the staff did not seem to care that we were even there if not borderline annoyed. Not to mention one of the guys appeared to have been the owner based on the conversation. As far as the product, it's 50% ice and water and the rest of the it some end of fresh fruit and heaps of sugar and squirts of a mystery liquid. The place is a far cry from Jamba Juice. Never again.

This location must be new. Service was ok. Wasn't attentive enough especially during lunch time when people needed to be serviced quickly. However, their smoothies are excellent and the price is not bad! I had the roast beef with wasabi and it was very good. $7 for half sandwich and 24oz smoothie is a good thing!
The Arlington Heights Tropical Smoothie Cafe is great! The smoothies are HUGE and so delicious. I just had the Mocha Madness this morning and it ended up being my breakfast AND lunch since all you have to do is throw it in the refrigerator and it doesn't melt. The customer service is stellar and they always have a recommendation for me!

So glad that Tropical Smoothie has finally arrived in Arlington Heights! My personal favorites are the chicken pesto flat bread and the buffalo chicken (zing!) wrap. Their Bahama Mama smoothie rocks! Am now a "smoothie regular"...

I went on Saturday and ordered a Buffalo Chicken wrap. Not many places serve wraps and I was surprised at the number of different wraps available. I was very happy to learn that the chicken for all the wraps is grilled, even the bc wrap, which is usually fried. The wrap was great. I took the fruit instead of the chips, which is also a great option. Had a younger crowd. Seems popular with teenagers. I think it's a great place for a healthier alternative to the usual corporate fast food joints.

Escape from the long winter blues by stopping by this fun and cheery place and having a fantastic meal! Walking in the door transports you to the tropics, with the bright colors, tropical-themed décor and friendly faces willing to whip up unbelievably delicious wraps, flatbreads and sandwiches, as well as their signature yummy smoothies. Favorites include the Thai and Southwest Chicken Wraps (full of fresh, rockin' flavor) and the Baja Chicken Toasted Flatbread. As to smoothies, there are loads of great choices, with some being lowfat (love the Mango Magic) and others being Supercharged with lots of great healthy options (like the Acai Berry Boost). Looking forward to also trying the seasonal specials - always something new and exciting. Great place to bring the family for a fun and healthy meal!
