Tried Jersey Mike's for the first time on my wife's recommendation. While I did get a good tasting sandwich, I didn't like the fact that they only had two roll choices, that I couldn't get my sub heated, I wasn't offered cheese on it and they have less than 50% of the toppings that Subway offers. Also, they are more expensive than Subway. While my wife will prefer to go there, I'll stick to Subway.

First off, let me begin by saying I've drawn a serious liking to Jersey Milkes over the past year. I've been to multiple JMs and have tried just about all of their subs and have yet tasted one I've considered to be "terrible". Today I was in the vicinity of this one and got a mini club sub. I usually get a regular so I was shocked to see that the mini wasn't "mini" at all. It was definitely bigger than I anticipated (I think they hooked me up with a regular without telling me). However, as usual, the sub was well seasoned, soft and tasty. I'm very pleased.

Love Jersey Mike's food. Went to this Rand Rd Arlington Heights, IL location last night, Sunday, at 7:45p with my husband. Well, at least we tried to. When pulling up we saw chairs on the tables but thought maybe they were getting a jump on cleaning as they close at 9pm, as posted on the door. When we opened the door we were told they were closed. I asked , "really?". His response, "yes , definitely". Very rudely I might add. I responded that that is not what the door stated and walked out. At this point I noticed that all the tables had chairs on them. There was a person standing in front of him at the counter that did not appear to be an employee but I suppose could have been. We decided to go next door to eat at Smash Burger, which was pretty darn good BTW. My husband and I witnessed another couple try and enter and I can only assume told the same thing we were as they left and came in to Smash Burger. Why have your doors open if you are closed for whatever reason and certainly there was no reason to be rude. We were just entering the establishment to get a sandwich. Needless to say I will not be back to this location.

Slow, slow, expensive and slow. I realize many of the "hot" subs are cooked on the spot but it felt like a sandwich eternity watching everything be sliced then and then cooked up. I'll still believe you if I see sliced meat in a bin and the slicer on the counter, I promise. Also, when did it become ok to charge $7-8 for a regular-sized sandwich. Boo to that. The layout is also funky. There isn't a good place to wait if you order your sandwiches to go. Another thing that was off - before you ask me if I want my sandwich Mike's Way, could you first ask me if I've been here before? I had no idea what Mike's Way is or was. It'll save them some time to scratch it or ask me so I don't feel like an ordering jack ass. All in all, my chipotle cheese steak sandwich was tasty, a little different but fun to eat. This place is no Penn Station but a nice hybrid between Jimmy Johns and Potbelly.

Jersey Mike's was catered for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. The sub tub is great. I thought it might be dry without dressing but they put oil, vinegar, and seasoning. It was good.

Line literally "out the door" for this recently opened place. Not sure where every one was getting the coupons....but lots of people had them. Tried the "big kahuna" cheese steak sandwich this time.... really good! They have some seating inside, and a few tables outside, but nowhere near enough if the crowd is going to stay this big. Plan on taking your food "to go".

Picked up Jersey Mike's for take-out on Saturday around 2pm. No line, I'm assuming the "we just opened" rush has ended. Order: 2 regular chipotle cheesesteaks. Verdict: The sandwich was tasty and well balanced. Next time I'll order without bell peppers, but that just because I'm not that big of a fan. The bread was awesome. A regular was HUGE. My friend and I probably could've split it, but yes, I did end up being gluttonous and eating the whole thing. I will definitely go back to try a cold sandwich, I really liked the fact that the sandwich meat is sliced to order. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. I'm Jimmy John's-ed out, so, I'm excited that they just opened a Jersey Mike's around the corner. Man... now I'm wondering if there's one near the office...

OK, I had an issue with a Jersey Mike's that opened in Schaumburg about six months ago. I spoke with the owner of that franchise store (who also owns this one) and he was cordial and apologetic about my experience. After that I did visit another store that he owns and had a great experience there. So when this place opened on 9/7, I thought I'd head over and take advantage of a generous offer - $1 donation to a designated non-profit gets you a free regular size sub. I'm happy to say that this experience was a good one. There was a line of about 25 that moved steadily and at a good pace. The sandwich was excellent - not processed - more like something you'd make at home. Friendly staff with great attitudes too! A sidenote - there was a guy two spots ahead of me who ordered the same sandwich number as I did. He actually tried claiming that both sandwiches were his; I heard him and told the server no - the 2nd one was mine. He didn't ask for "the missing one" which clearly tells me he was trying to scam a second sandwich (at the expense of my waiting for mine to be made again!). Really?!?! A place offers a deal like this and someone has to try and work the system even more? Unbelievable! But not the restaurants fault by any means. It was a little disappointing to see that virtually everyone put the minimum $1 contribution in for just one of 3 non-profits supported by this offer. I know times are tough, but an extra dollar or two would still make it a great bargain - and the money went to child education.

Stopped in on Sunday (10/23) Originally we were going to try Smashburger next door but the line was too long. So we stepped next door and were introduced to my new favorite subs! To start I like the beachy, cottage-y decor. Light, crisp and clean. Next there was no rush for us to order, the staff did not pressure us. I was HUNGRY so I went with the Big Kahuna.. steak, cheese, peppers, onions, mushrooms and jalapenos. A big YUMMY sammich! You can share this one but why, its just that good :-) The bread was soft but not mushy and you could taste the individual ingredients and the meat.. a nice generous serving sliced and grilled up quickly. I like the jalapenos but maybe a few less would be my only critique. My BF ordered the Reuben and that too was delish. The kraut is sweet balanced by a lightly spiced pastrami. Both I would order again, but first I need to try other stuff on the menu. The sandwich alone was enough for lunch, we did not get any chips. Free refills on the drinks is nice too. Oh and they had a TV with the Bears on. Perfect spot for a quick bite. I will be back again! Price for 2 regular sandwiches and 2 drinks $19.. but there's a lot of good food for that price :-)

I'm not sure if I came in at bad times a couple times or maybe this style of sub doesn't really suit me but I wasn't as impressed as the other reviewers. I tried the famous philly, chicken parm, and a couple other subs and found them to be a bit salty and didn't quite have the flavors I wanted. On the other hand, they were large sized and came out at a good temperature. Of course, the problem could just be personal preference because the amount of people that come in here suggest that a lot of people find the food to be delicious.

TERRIBLE! not only the food, but the service. The workers there assumed I knew everything about the menu, no realizing that the place is pretty new to the area. They spoke quickly and I couldn't understand them. Aside from that they took forever making my sub. I was there for at least 10 minutes and all i got was lettuce and cheese. I ordered the veggie, which was not full of vegetables. it was pure cheese and lettuce. The cheese was the best part because it was freshly sliced, but it was TOO MUCH CHEESE! The bread was really thick and wasn't very tasty. For a "fast food" sub place this place will not stand up against Subway or Jimmy Johns. Good thing for this location is that there are neither that are close by so it will survive for the time being.

I dined at this location tonight with my mom and I had been there many times before, and it was my mom's first experience. I was raving about the subs there so she wanted to give them a try. the subs never disappoint, as they are great! The service however, was embarassing and awful I've never felt more uncomfortable and degraded by a staff within 5 minutes of being there it was horrible. I ordered my sandwich from the first guy in line (forgetting that he just hears what sandwich you want and slices the meat, so he doesnt need to know what toppings you do or dont want) I "mistakenly" said i'll have a turkey #7 with no tomato. he then replies 'whats a tomato? i only know meat? whats a vegetable? whats a tomato?" and i kept waiting for him to laugh and say he was kidding..but that never happened. just a rude worker thinking he was being witty? not sure. i brushed it off, then until we were checking out and paying did the cashier ask if we wanted to donate money to the charity and that would cover our sandwiches and we'd only pay for the chips and drink. it didnt really make sense, the restaurant was crowded so we just said no thanks, and went on to pay for the meal. at that point, did we receive a confused and rude tone from the cashier and said 'what do you mean? you dont want to donate, its basically free sandwiches.' i actually wanted to walk out of the store at that point. i was so confused by this awful customer service, and too bad, at such a great place to get sandwiches. i never complain about workers because I am sure they get stressed out and frustrated, but it was an AWFUL experience and i will never go back to this jersey mikes location. There are plenty of other restaurants around the area to go ahead and not be made to feel uncomfortable ordering food at a place when i am a paying customer.

Still my favorite "Fast Food Subs" chain. The "Jersey Shore" schtick is gone now, and the staff is uniformly friendly and open, with the the food the star. The classic Italian Regular is always a winner - just be sure you know that you have a choice of what's on it by telling the SECOND person you talk to what you want, not the person you order it from. See, its easy! Most of the others: Reuben, Big Kahuna, the Clubs, etc. are also great. This isn't an elegant place - much like a Subway once you get your food, but the sandwiches are truly the best of any chain place I've tried. Lately, (8 - 2015) pricing has been getting out of hand so the rating is now just a 3.

I love Jersey Mike's. The subs are always great. I have been to this location over a dozen times, and I have never been disappointed. My subs are always made perfectly. I like the club supreme (turkey, roast beef, bacon, swiss) no mayo with pepper relish, "Mike's Way" (vinegar, oil, spices, lettuce, tomato, onion). My other go to is called the 99 which is a cross between the 43 (Chipotle Cheesesteak) and the 56 (Big Kahuna Cheesesteak). It is delicious and probably really terrible for me. When the first Subway opened up in my town when I was 12 I was so excited. I thought it was the best sandwich shop ever for years. Oh, how little did I know. Since then I've had sandwiches from a plethora of different places and the most recent one is Jersey Mike's. I had never been to this place before and since it wasn't busy I took my time reading over the menu and deciding what to order. The staff thankfully let me take my time and didn't just stand there and stare at me while I thought about it. I ordered the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. Wow! That was a big sandwich. The sandwich was fresh and the cheese was all melt-y. My order was a to-go so they wrapped it up nicely in foil and packaged it in a bag. I should have probably split the sandwich in half but I ate the whole thing.
