Loved this place. We were driving back from Lake Geneva to the northern suburbs and wanted to find a fun place for lunch with a view! Thanks to Yelp, we found ourselves here. They have root beer beer which I love, and we both had tasty sandwiches that were wolfed down. Obviously, this is a really casual place, not a spot for fine dining. It sure hit the spot for us!

Wow if you are a clean person you will hate this place. Everything is dirty. The toilets are a joke. I would rather use a porta potty but then again the smell is the same so hard to tell the difference. The service was horrific. They forgot 1/2 of our tables food and we had to go track down someone to tell them after 10 mins. The tables are dirty, the food wasn't even good. My burger was supposed to be medium but it was burnt. The chicken fingers were all batter and no meat, and the fries tasted stale. It was also quite possibly the slowest service I've ever had Never again

The food is 5 star all the way! If you don't mind waiting forever.... Service is as slow as it gets, the place is dirty and somewhat unwelcoming for indoor meals, but if you stick around you will eventually get your food and all will be forgiven! I've eaten here on the go once or twice and had some appetizers outside in the sand. Tonight we came for dinner and we were just dying for our food. I believe it was 45 minutes. I had the fish boil. Menu says 30 minutes for that. The potatoes with my fish were unbelievable! They were mini potatoes that may have been deep fried? They had good flavor and were crispy on the outside. I need to try this at home! Delicious! The fish was decent and the veggies did the job. It actually wasn't enough food for me, but I could just be a pig. I would come back for dinner over and over again. But maybe outside before dark. They said the bugs get NASTY at dark. The Inside needs work. But damn...those taters!!!

My last time there after going there for over 15 years. Very unfriendly and hostile bartender on May 31, Sunday, around 1:00 Pm. I will be taking my business from here on to any of the many other lakeside bars and restaurants within the area from now on.

This place is located at the end of a gravel driveway on the lake. I went on a Saturday afternoon and really liked it. The atmosphere is of an older bar & grille. They serve beer in pitchers and had a limited distribution Goose Island beer on tap. My party had the fajitas, Italian sandwich and tamales. The food was served hot, the tamales had pulled pork on them, the sandwich was tender, the French fries were made right, and the fajita was sizzling. The food was excellent, the service was great, the prices were very reasonable, and the seats have a lake view.

Only 1 star because of there menu selection. Day bartender is the worst slow and orders are usually wrong, nite bartenders not so good also went on a Friday nite and all she wanted to do was hit on guys, owners don't care one is drunk at the end of the bar and the other is trying to help but she just gets in the way and is slow not coming back till new owners come in

Oh Sandbar. You always feed me when I've been drinking on the boat too long. Plus, you have more drinks. What a convenient little stop with picnic tables on the beach, so I still don't have to be sober or inside.

best Chicago style deep dish, almost as good as lou malnatis, burgers and Italian beef are also good.

We came here after a bad experience at another Antioch bar/restaurant. The staff here were great and very attentive. The bloody Mary's were quite good and the food was fine; nothing fancy but what you expect for a place that caters to the boaters. I will most certainly return.

The waitress was a real dime piece, and the cokes? Well they're comin', don't worry.

Nice Lk Marie location, with sand and sun and good dock space. Food is OK. Al Pastor tacos were decent, but if you get them - get a LOT of them. They're small. Typical Chain O' Lakes service... We went on a weekday and the server was totally overwhelmed. We got there with about 4 tables full. the waitress had a hard time keeping up. I felt for her, as it wasnt her fault. She was working inside and out. The mgmt should keep things tighter. She literally had to run back and forth. To make things worse, people kept coming in - 4,6,8,10 at a time. It was almost comical, if it wasnt so pathetic. And maddenening. We were there 90 minutes in total, about 65 before we actually got food. Drinks are served in criminally small 8 oz cups, so you need a refill before the waitress is even 5 steps away. Good luck. It's like 20 mins between refills. It got so bad we went to the boat to get water bottles, my wife was SO thirsty. And their well water tastes terrible. People kept coming, then were getting very mad at the long waits. One of the owners tried to help out but every time it looked like the waitress had things more under control she'd disappear, and the waitress was quickly overwhelmed again. Really short on help. Not sure about trying the sand bar again, food wasnt all that special.

Pizza was good, waitstaff was terrible, not a very clean place to eat! Bathrooms were something I wouldn't let my dog go in. If they clean this place up I would recommend it...has a cool atmosphere

We passed this place by boat and I thought, "Where is this place?" thinking I'd be able to find it again. Well I never found it until the following year being on a boat again. This time I decided to look at my GPS so I knew exactly where I was. It's a hidden gem on the chain. We were there on a Thursday night, and it was much quieter than some of the other places on the water. Not a ton of boats or jetskis buzzing around, the launch on premises was fairly quiet. We did get to see a helicopter land and take off again off of the shore of the lake, so that was different and cool. The service was friendly and attentive. The seating is wooden picnic tables on top of sand on the southeast shore of Lake Marie. The wife is always nervous trying new places and especially trying chicken on a salad. She asked the waitress if she could ask "a weird question." The waitress told us everything is cooked fresh and sometimes when they are busy, people may even complain because the food isn't just flung out whether it's ready or not. They are sure everything comes out fresh, warm and tasty. The chicken taco salad was delicious! She ate every bite, which isn't typical. I had a burger and it was also mighty tasty. 3 Rounds of drinks, an appetizer and the two meals above for under $50. We will definitely be headed back!

This is one of our favorite places in the world! We have been coming here for years and we absolutely love it. Like many of the best chain restaurants it is in a tucked back area to drive to but very easy by boat. They definitely get a lot of boating customers and typically tend to be much busier during the day than at night. They have a pretty extensive menu and everything we've had is excellent. their homemade pizzas are one of our favorites. They even freeze their own pizzas so if you come in when the kitchen is closed you can get one and they are just as good as the fresh ones. This is a bar, but it's still great for families during the day. At night it definitely has more of bar atmosphere. They have music all day, either jukebox or live during the day and those or a DJ at night. There is room for dancing and sometimes they have parties there. There are TVs throughout for watching the games. They also have a pool table and steel tip darts. The location is on a beach and there are plenty of tables in the sand, perfect for summer. You can order food or six packs to go. You can also get gas for your boat. And it remains open all winter and gets a lot of snowmobile traffic. It's a awesome place anytime!

Friendly bartenders. Dive like atmosphere. Restrooms need improvement on the cleanliness factor. Nice selection of beers. Strong pours on the drinks the day we were here.
