Probably the most consistently "Good Bar Food" of any bar in the Chain-O-Lakes area. Make no mistake, Choppers is a bar, not a fancy restaurant. I've eaten just about everything on the menu from Burgers to BLT's to Breakfast and everything is always consistently good. The quality of their ingredients is higher than what you'd expect from a bar and everything is made from scratch, even the soups and pizza! Quite frankly, I've never had a meal that I was not happy with at Choppers. BEST BREAKFAST IN TOWN, PERIOD ! ! ! On Saturdays, Sundays or on major Holidays, Choppers has the best breakfast around and breakfast time is definitely kid & family friendly. The Eggs, Omelets, Biscuits & Gravy, French Toast, Country Fried Steak or Chicken are all tasty and always consistent. People seem to come from all around the area and the crowd is fun and friendly. Bloodies, Screwdrivers and Mimosas! SERVICE - The bartenders and staff are also consistent and friendly. They usually try to open up and get to know everyone who walks in, making customers feel welcome. By the second or third time you stop in, even if you're not a regular, you'll probably feel like one and they'll likely remember your favorite drink. Food order time is also consistently prompt, food orders are consistently accurate and food quality is consistent, even when they're busy. PRICES - Food is reasonable (darn near cheap). Drinks are also reasonable. I am a local, but not a native to this area. This bar attracts both locals and travelers to the Chain-O-Lakes area during the summer boating season, as well as the winter snowmobiling & ice fishing season. At times, Choppers can be full of neighborhood locals or a mix bag of people in town for the weekend. It's usually a fun, friendly and salt of the earth crowd. What I like best about Choppers is their consistency, not just in their food, but in the way they promote food & drink specials, as well as events ranging from Bands to Karaoke and even to an annual Chili Cook Off. You can darn near set your clock to Choppers consistency of promotional events, as well as daily food & drink specials...Bottom line, you always know what to expect and it's good ! ! !

While the ambiance and decor leave something to be desired, Choppers is a Sunday morning breakfast staple! The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the service is great. Cocktails are strong if you're looking for a little 'hair of the dog.'

Doesn't look like much from outside but inside is really nice. Lots of room to relax. Big bar. Regular tables. Bar tables. They have 2 nice pool tables. Video gaming as well. Great bartenders too. Very friendly.

Love this place.. Great service. .. Good Food. .. Love the wings, chilli garlic are the best.. Daily specials.. tv's are everywhere so u won't miss any of the action.. Small outside deck...Great Bloody Mary's too...

Great place to hunker down for a casual dinner or local night out. Great food and service from the servers and bartenders. Even if you're a city chick, out of your realm, you'll appreciate the reasonable prices for an abundance of food or drinks. The clientelle return again and again. Close enough to the boarder for over the border travelers and WI nights out.

Sometimes you have to take one for the team. There's no other way I can possibly explain what I was doing in Antioch at Choppers on a Saturday night. I had to meet up with some old friends and my friend has the hots for the bassist in a band that was playing at Choppers, so off we went. I knew I was in trouble when the parking lot was overrun with pickup trucks that may or may not have included Confederate flags. Choppers reminds me of being in someone's basement... and not in a good way. There's black and white square ceiling tiles made of that foam type product I'm pretty sure was outlawed in the mid-90s. The linoleum floor is smudged and dingy. The lighting is too bright in some places (namely by the pool table and darts) and way too dark in others (the stage). It's actually kind of depressing. Ambiance woes aside, I decided to woman up and get drunk. My Jack and diet was served up to me in a huge pint glass, so that's good, and only set me back $6, which is great and it was put-some-hair-on-your-chest strong, so that's awesome. I was hoping that the more intoxicated I got, the less snobby I'd become about my surroundings. I was wrong. As the evening progressed, things just got more revolting. The band was terrible. Like, playing Creed, Metallica, Puddle of Mudd and Nickelback bad. In between songs I was hit on by creepy men that included, but were not limited to a dude at least 20 years older than me that actually dropped the N-bomb, a guy in an Ed Hardy shirt and some fool wearing black sweatpants. Racial slurs, Jersey Shore fashion and what could possibly be construed as lounge pants at a bar on a Saturday night? No thanks! One thing is for sure... Make sure you're NOT the designated driver when you come to Choppers. You're going to need a landslide of cocktails to make it through the evening.
