Good ballgame tonight, but I observed even better teamwork among the staff- very attentive, fast, and efficient in their work to keep customers content. This really comes as no surprise to me, as I come here 2 to 3 times a week to enjoy the friendly atmosphere that adds value to the joy of dining or just enjoying a good beverage..To the staff; keep up the good work!..:) Kenny Moore

My family and I love this place for lunch. The ladies can get great salads and the boys can get steak sandwiches or whatever they desire. The reason why I gave Elevation a bad review is not because of the food, it is because of the service. The waitresses are hit and miss. Sometimes you can receive great service but other times which is more often than not, you receive very VERY poor service. Make sure you do not get seated in Shannon`s section. You will be treated poorly and be questioned on your order.

Place is actually a bit upscale for my taste. Beer's expensive, selection not wide. Trended heavily toward IPAs, the flavor of which I will not describe. My steak was a little bland and a little undercooked, although honestly I'd eat one that was barely warm, anyway. The mashed potatoes where gooey, reminding my why baked is really the way to go when you're at a restaurant. the decor is very nice, and the view fantastic. Our server was great. Sat outside even though it was a bit chilly. I'll probably give them another shot in the future, although I suspect it won't my idea, as it was not this time.

I visit on business on occasion. I like to come here and watch the sunset over the canyon. Great view! The food here is excellent and the bar staff is very friendly. I have had the steamer clams and the ribeye so far. The Brussel sprout side was awesome. Great place to spend some time with a nice drink and food. Enjoy!

The server was rude and inconsiderate. We have choices and we choose to say NEVER AGAIN1

While vacationing through the area, my boyfriend and family decided we wanted to go out to a nice dinner. We were SO happy we picked this place. The views are breathtaking, the food was amazing, the drinks were fun, and the waitstaff was awesome. We sat outside on the patio during sunset, (couldn't of picked a better time), gorged on clams and stuffed mushroom appetizers, had strong/fun canyon drinks, ate five different entrees because they were so good, and topped it off with in house made deserts! The waitress was friendly and attentive. The manager was wonderful as well and made sure we had a great time by inquiring about our dinner and making sure there was nothing else they could of done better. I highly recommend this restaurant to eat at if you like medium priced, higher scale restaurants.

This is a very nice place to take in the view. The patio is quite exquisite, overlooking the basin, which is strikingly beautiful when the sun sets. The only problem is the crazy bees that swarm around you when you are eating (They don't sting). That was my only issue. The food was good. I ordered the King Salmon which is quite satisfying with the Jasmine rice. It could have been toned down on the grease or dressing on it, but for the atmosphere (minus the bees), the view, and the music, I give it 4 starts and very much worth the visit.

This restaurant is about as high class as Twin Falls gets. They have a very impressive menu with amazing specials daily. It's not terribly expensive and the service is as good as it gets. Whether you're having a steak or a fresh fish item, you will not be disappointed. Dress is very casual. I will definitely have dinner here the next time I'm in Twin Falls. Oh and did I mention the view? This place has an amazing 180 degree view of the Snake River. See my pic posted here. This is a great place to take someone for that special night out.

I'm a bit of a food snob and I was impressed with the quality level of food here. The steak was cooked to perfection, the steamed clams were some of the best I've ever had, the duck was to die for, and the desert was delicious!! We lucked out with the classiest and most professional waiter there! You can tell he's done this at a 5 star restaurant in a big city. He really made the night one to remember. The only negatives I witnessed were the other waiters. They looked like they just rolled out of the shower, they clomped around like elephants, and though they had great intentions...they were obviously not trained to act the part. In addition, there is no dress code!! So people are coming in wearing jeans, tennis shoes, and tank tops!! The food and my waiter were at the 5 star level, but if you want to up your game....you guys have to groom your staff for that level of service and you should start to enforce a dress code to keep it classy.

We had a corporate meeting in their private room. The service was excellent, the food was amazing. We did a meeting the night before at Ruth's Chris and we felt like we got better food and equal service to Ruth's Chris.

I had the quail with spring roll appetizer. Both were deliciously balanced and flavorful. The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy but very substantial and the seasoning was present without being overpowering. The service was excellent and the view of the canyon and bridge were gorgeous. Wonderful atmosphere.

What really sets this place apart is the spectacular view of the Perrine bridge and the gorge. The location is great but I found the food to be sub-par for an upscale restaurant. The ceviche was lacking in flavor, it just didn't have enough like to make the sweetness of the shrimp really pop. I had the ribeye and ordered it medium rare, what I received was a ribeye that was medium in some parts and rare in others, so the medium parts were tougher than I prefer and the rest was bloodier than I like. I think this is a consequence of the thickness of the steak, whenever I have ordered ribeye it is a minimum 1-inch thick center-cut, which makes achieving a balance between medium and rare possible. The seafood linguine my companion ate was very delicious and had an abundance of mussels and clams.

Fantastic view of the Snake River Canyon, beautiful evening so ate outside. Had the Flatiron Steak which was excellent. Service staff very pleasant and on top of things. Will return.

We had dinner on Saturday 8-8. Food was great, beer was good. Service was fantastic and the view from the canyon rim was amazing. I would definitely go again the next time we are in Twin.

Amazing view of the Snake river canyon makes the dishes served in this restaurant even more palatable. Excellent ambience, service, cuisine and wine selection. My grilled sturgeon was fantastic.

I had a lovely dinner here last week. I had no idea what to expect based on mixed reviews. Our salads arrived on chilled plates which was a very nice touch. The walnut vinaigrette the waitress recommended was delicious. She also recommended the lamb shank which was tender and cooked perfectly. The pace was wonderful, the service attentive, and everything was very tasty (I recommend the garlic mashed potatoes!).

If you're going to come to Elevation 486, I would definitely look at coming here during Happy Hour. Besides the exquisite views, you have a decent selection of bar food and beverages. Their Happy Hour menu boasts a vast selection of beers on tap as well as signature drinks designed by a dedicated mixologist. Even if you think that the food is not for you, you will definitely enjoy the views (during the summer months especially). If you're feeling romantic, be sure to give Elevation 486 a try.

Great place, Great View, and good food. The view is absolutely incredible, looking down into the canyon, right from the deck of the restaurant. Pretty small menu, but overall everything we had was great.

I've been here twice and I have no desire to come back. It's just nothing to write home about. The last time I came, it was to celebrate my anniversary. I had the halibut and my husband had the rib eye. Both were lack luster. The halibut basically just came with a simple side; I got the coconut rice, which really was just rice pilaf with a little toasted coconut sprinkled on top. The rib eye was covered in some sort of sauce. Usually, there's no way to mess up a rib eye, but the sauce is a total mistake and the rib eye tasted almost like it had been boiled. I also found it strange how our hostess asked if we were there on a date night, and when I told her that we were actually there celebrating our anniversary, her response was "well, you'll have to tell your waitress so she can give you a dessert". I'm sure the hostesses intentions were good by saying that to us, but shouldn't the hostess have taken that little extra mile to relay that information to our waitress for us? We never did tell the waitress that it was our anniversary, because honestly....."I'll have the halibut and hey, btw it's our anniversary, can we have some cake too?" Yeah.....no..........

I dined in the dining room last night, which was a Friday. It was busy. Our server was awesome. Her timing and recommendations were spot on. She comped one of our desserts as it was our anniversary. That was very kind. I really enjoyed this visit the most out of the times I've been in.

Pretty decent food, with a nice view if you get a good seat (and it is available outside the restaurant too as others have noted). The Kobe flank steak was to die for and the coconut butterfly shrimp was pretty good too. But the service the night we went was pretty mediocre. Drive by deliveries of food more or less slid onto table and incomplete table clearing before desert made this an experience we'd rather forget. If this place is going to boast as best in town, it'd better spend more time training staff. Being busy is not an excuse for poor service.

I had dinner there 2 days in a row. The food is outstanding. Baked Brie for appetizer die for. Served with baked garlic. Tomato basil bisque was the best I have ever had, home made, not from the box and with real tomatoes. Did not enjoy one of their special Salmon, lack of souse and taste. However, lamb shank was super. Juicy, soft and has a taste. Totally recommend it. Oh, and the view on the canyon is breathtaking

Came here for dinner. Great food. Great drinks. Great service. And the best part of all was the views!! Just magnificent views. Great place for occasions or date night. I would come here again.

Another reviewer mentioned that the staff really tries to make their guests enjoy the experience, and I completely agree. I came here with 4 other people, and we all had a great time! The food was great (my husband STILL talks about their meatloaf...), and our server knew the exact balance of how much to check-in/engage without being pushy or annoying. Then there's the view. It's truly beautiful, and the restaurant is situated so every seat is able to take it in. Sometimes when a restaurant has a great view the food can be lacking, but I didn't find this to be the case with Elevation. My tip when visiting would be to sit back, relax, have a drink, take in the view, enjoy their juicy Oregon quail, then take a stroll outside to see the view up close.

After having raved about one of the few upscale dining restaurants in the quaint town of Twin Falls, Idaho, Elevation 486, I headed back a few months later. On their website, they were still showing the spicy sesame bowl with coconut rice and I was excited to have it again. We were seated at a large table in the middle of the dining room. I ordered a Manhattan with Maker's Mark whiskey while everyone else ordered a beer. I didn't notice the sesame bowl on the menu so I asked the server and he said they had just removed that from the menu. He wasn't sure what could be made vegan and said he'd go back and check. When he brought the drinks out, he basically said there was nothing he could serve me. So, I started looking at the menu and asked if the pastas could be made vegan. I basically had to make a suggestion because he couldn't think of anything. So I asked if the special of the day -- the Penne with Wild Mushrooms could be made with a red sauce. He said they didn't have a red sauce. Then, I asked if it could be made with just olive oil, mushrooms, and peas leaving the cream and parmesan out. He stated it wouldn't be as flavorful as premade dishes. I said that was fine. He finally came back and said they could do it. This was frustrating. Most servers can work with the chef to figure out what can be made vegan without the patron doing all of the work. And stating that it wouldn't be as good as a dish already on the menu usually goes without saying. I was pretty disappointed with this service. The salad that accompanied it was pretty good. But, in the end, the dish was a plain penne pasta served with olive oil, sauteed mushrooms, and peas. It was fine, but nothing special. I was just glad to have a hearty meal in Twin Falls regardless of the lack of flavor. I left the restaurant not wanting to return. What was once a vegan-friendly restaurant is now a vegan-unfriendly restaurant. The service was poor, the prices high, and food substandard. I guess I'll check out their competitor, Canyon Crest, next time.

Great views from balcony. Great service from Sabrina and the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the flatiron steak with garlic smashed potatoes. Wife had butternut squash ravioli. Both meals were perfect. Very reasonably priced. About sixty-five dollars for both of us with cocktails.

Snuck in on prom night without a reservation, we generally liked the ambiance, view, service and food. Yes there was a few technical errors but for the price point they were not deal-breakers. Ribeye was a little too tough and we had to chase down our waitress a few times but whatever. When in twin falls I would say you have to go here, if for just a micro-draft and to take in the view. Cheers -

Yes the view is great, but guess what? You can see it from outside the restaurant, too! This place wants to be fancy, but it really just boils down to being a waste of money. The food was fine, but nothing blew me away. They upsold us on this expensive, and rather lame, Caesar salad without us even knowing it. Go here to impress your yuppie clients, go somewhere else for food that's worth what you're paying.

I love Elevation 486! My family recently had dinner at Elevation 486 and it was simply amazing! We sat on the patio early in the evening with a breathtaking view overlooking the Snake River Canyon. It was chilly early on but, warmed up as the sun came around the buildings. Maria took care of us and was an absolute delight! We shared a bottle of Cinder Dry Viognier with your Northwest Steamer Clams to begin, and finished much later by sharing your Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae. Later on, my ten year old boy enjoyed running up and down the walking trails while the adults sipped on your Idaho Lemonades (lovely summer drink by the way) Everything from the food and timing, to the drinks, service, and atmosphere were spot on. In fact, I would have been more than happy to stay for another bottle if we hadn't had prior engagements. This was a very special occasion for my family and I want to thank Elevation 486 for making it so memorable. Bravo!

The view is great, breathtaking even. However the service wasn't great. My table was only checked on twice within an hour and the food was mediocre. You can pay a pretty penny to sit at Elevation and dine or you can enjoy the view along the sidewalk that runs the length of the canyon.

The food was so-so for the high pricetag. I had seafood linguine and my friend had the salmon . We had a grilled artichoke to start. Unfortunately, the artichoke was the only highlight. We were ignored by waitstaff on a moderately busy Sunday evening. Our food arrived cold. It was bland. The drinks were good, if somewhat shy of alcohol, though moderately priced. Our waiter couldn't even remember he served us. What a waste of 60 bucks for 2 people. Will not return.

  • Amy V.

The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is 1 star for the view and the 2nd star for our waitress. I guess after reading some past reviews it is certain to say "you can't eat the view". The food there was far from good, for the prices they charge I expect a little better quality. Also when we went it looked as though the place was half empty however we had to wait 40 minutes to get a table- which the hostess forgot about us. Also when we sat at the bar waiting we noticed almost every empty table with glasses and plates on them. No one was cleaning up the tables, saw the manager just hanging out behind the bar not helping around the restaurant as she should. It looks horrible to have dirty tables all over and very unappetizing. We order- I got the Flatiron steak in which I ordered at medium. When I got the steak- it was cooked at well. My friend got the ribeye which was under seasoned. Another got the prime rib which was nothing but fat. Far from good quality, and I know my food and any one that says this is good has no idea what a good steak should taste like. So if you like average meat for a higher price this is your place. If you want to go there, I suggest just having a few cocktails outside to enjoy the view, I wouldn't order food again. The view is incredible and worth to at least have a drink on their outdoor patio.

If a restaurant is judged on views, this is at the top of the heap. Great deck that overlooks the canyon. The menu looked good and listed some interesting dishes but the overall reaction at our table was that the food was "fine." It probably wasn't helped by the excessively long wait for the entrees. The server cruised by to apologize for the long wait, citing kitchen problems. These things can happen. It was a Tuesday and crowded, which may explain it. But if you are charging premium prices (for the area) and delivering sub-par performance you should probably consider trying to make the situation right in some way. That's on the manager, not the server. However, the server, while nice, made fleeting appearances during the night, water glasses stayed unfilled for a long time, and there was the sin of removing plates before everyone was finished. When we did receive the food we noticed some issues possibly related to the kitchen problems (plating issues, my rice was mushy). The thing that stood out was the sparseness. Everyone received the main plus the single side of choice. No side veg, no garnish (dumping a cone-shaped rice mass on the plate and placing a sprig on top doesn't really count). The couple seated after us happened to served before us but finished after because he had to return the steak due to wrong temp. I would go into how the quail had an excessively sweet baste but you get the general theme.

View awesome. Reserve and/or arrive early for view of gorge. Food okay (overpriced for quality. Scallops cold. Veg side over cooked ). Positive = Elevation Ale very good... Service horrible!!!

My wife and I are visiting her parents in the Twin Falls area for Christmas, and we decided to find a nice restaurant in the area to take them to for dinner. I ended up choosing Elevation 486 based on various reviews, etc. Simply put, we were very impressed. The service started out a little slow, but our waiter was quick to apologize for the delay in greeting our table. Ryan, our waiter, was extremely out going and very knowledgable about the menu and drink choices. Our party chose all our selections and gave them to Ryan. He didn't bother to write any of them down, which always scares me a bit, but to his credit everything came out as asked for - very well done and very rare to see that. Our drink order was delivered quickly, and the fall special egg nog beverage my wife ordered was very good. We followed that up with an order of the baked mushroom caps and the seared ahi tuna. Our party enjoyed both quite a bit. My wife and my salads were good, lots of field greens and the bleu cheese dressing on my salad did not lack for the key ingredient (i.e. bleu cheese). Our entrees were excellent as well. My wife chose the red trout, I selected the rack of lamb (which was delivered very rare, exactly as requested). Her mother chose the steamed clams and her father had the Elevation Burger, both of which were well received. Can't say enough good things about the service Ryan provided us. Very prompt and responsive, and nailed everything we ordered even though he didn't write our order down. We'll be back and we'll definitely be asking for Ryan!

This was a 4 star restaurant with 5 star views. The weather was perfect so we say outside. That is probably the best view you can get anywhere and it was so quiet. We started with an order of chicken ginger potstickers as an appetizer. They were excellent. Very crispy with good flavor and the sweet and sour chili sauce was excellent as well. I had the elevation burger with shoestring fries. The fries were very good and the burger was excellent. The bacon on it was cooked perfectly. My mom had a salad and that was great as well. Awesome dressing and perfectly cooked chicken. The service was a little slow but I almost prefer it that way at a restaurant like there where you should kick back and enjoy the awesome views. I would definitely return next time I am passing through.

Melissa and Rhonda rocked our afternoon with amazing service. The recommendations on this delightful menu were so delicious. Beer battered fish and chips for my husband and seared Scallops salad for me. I can not wait to return.

Good wine selection, both by the glass and by the bottle. Rolls with huckleberry butter is a nice extra touch The roast quail with sauce was sweet and slightly spicy. Smashed garlic potatoes were ok. The tomato basil soup was lightly spiced. Could have been a little creamier, but was still good, just not great. Server was friendly, but busy restaurant meant that the wine was a little slow, but within tolerance. Even though you can't eat the view, it does enhance the ambiance. Wi-fi access was not readily available. Food and prices were appropriate for a 4 star. Didn't find prices out of line with what we have been paying across 8 states over the last three weeks.

The view from the deck can't be beat, and the atmosphere is great. I came here for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised to discover a place like this in twin falls. I got the steamer clams, and the flavor was excellent. I went for lunch and had no problems with the service.

Go here for the amazing view and eat on the patio at sunset. I loved The wedge salad, rolls with huckleberry butter, the butternut squash ravioli, cookie and ice cream. The kobe beef meatloaf wasn't that great in comparison. Make a reservation! !

We went in on Friday night, without a reservation. The first thing I noticed was how noisy the place is. Don't plan to go there for a romantic dinner. The hostess told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait. I understood that, but when I checked in 20 minutes later, I was told it would be 20-30 more minutes. A brief chat with the manager and five minutes later we were in. The dining area was slightly quieter than the entryway. We had the fire grilled artichoke apetizer. It was absolutely incredible. In fact, the best part of the meal. For my entree, I had the double-cut pork chop with plum, soy, and ginger glaze. The glaze overpowered the meat and I couldn't taste the pork at all. Laurie had the trout with red pepper sauce. It was pretty good. All in all, I would probably go back again, but since we don't live in the area, it won't be anytime soon.

I had a steak and it was cold and tasteless. Their menu is nice and great selections. Good beer and wine variety. The view was spectacular. 486 ft. drop. I recommend it.

Delectable fireside food and drinks on the patio with incredible views. I come here every time I am in town and stay as long as they let me. The lack of one star is due to poor service the second time that was as subpar as the service our first time was outstanding. My suggestion: eat here, drink here, lounge here, and make sure Ryan is your server ;)

Place is pretty cool, good food, great menu, but they are pawning off 14 oz beers as pints, and pints as 23 oz ers, they are cheap though anyway.

GREAT view! The view and setting (nice fixtures and beautiful landscaping) is a 5. The food was sort of run of the mill, but not bad, and I would give it a 3. They had a good beer selection. We had Valena as our waitress and she was great--no complaints regarding the service. Despite the complaints of inconsistent service and average food, I would still recommend this place for the view and setting alone. Go there during warm weather and ask to sit outside on the patio.

When I travel to small towns I tend to set my expectation of food and service a bit lower then I would if I was in a place like Seattle, LA or Las Vegas. I was recently in Twin Falls and was told to try Elevation as it was the place to go. Our group arrived and I was pleased with the space overall and the atmosphere. It was to windy to sit on the patio, but we were still able to get a window table and enjoy the view. I perused the menu and was very pleased with what I saw. The prices were very tolerable to me and once seeing them (ranging from approx. $22 to $36) I figured my reservations about a small town restaurant should be gone. I also looked through the wine list and was extremely happy with the selections and actually found much of the wine to be under priced. Needless to say....I should have stuck with my first thought on setting low expectations. I will compliment the food overall as it was much better than I expected. Then there was the service........wow is all I can say. I am not going to put much blame on the service staff here actually, and once I saw that the owner of this establishment has a restaurant in Sun Valley I was completely appalled. The staff in this establishment is in extreme need of the basics of working in a restaurant. We had to constantly ask to have dirty plates removed from the table. Nearly every course there was a lack of proper silverware. Our server had never opened or poured a bottle of wine...it was so hard for me to watch that I finally showed her how to open it properly. Food timing was off...there is nothing more upsetting then barely starting on your salad and the having your dinner arrive on your 3rd bite. I was observing the other tables in the space and could see the disgust on peoples face as they were waiting for service and or re-fires on food. We did require that one meal go back twice, after the second attempt it was decided that it wasn't worth a 3rd try and just told them to forget it. This could be an amazing place. They have some good things going on, but they are missing key elements. The staff has no knowledge of timing of service and hence it feels like a turn and burn establishment, instead of being a place where they try to keep you there and provide you with a proper meal. At the end of the day I don't blame the poor service on the individuals, but the owner who must not give a care in the world about this place being successful. The view won't keep it open forever and if there are not some drastic changes made they will fail for sure. I have seen this time and time again...... If you go here be prepared for decent food and very poor service and untrained staff.

I went here last night, and yeah... Fancy, and in Twin is very rare, or at least it is because all we have in twin is fast food. I know they probably want to give us a taste of the "rich" and "fancy" of Sun Valley, or even Vail, Colorado. I do respect that. Yet, this place just seemed way to pricey. I can understand why it's so expensive, for they want to achieve the status of "The Best Place to Go for the Stars." Ok, fair enough. I understand. I'm guessing that if I had got a different meal it might have been better experience for me. Yet the rolls and huckleberry (huckleberry!!?) butter for the rolls were just odd. I think they are trying to hard. I just like plain normal warm butter. Hmm, yummy!

I give Elevation 486 five stars because of the incredible setting and because the restaurant did not forgo food, presentation, or service as occurs with so many places with great views. In the one week I spent touring southern Idaho, this was perhaps the best restaurant. The outside area is a long strip that wraps along the restaurant and overlooks the Snake River canyon with no obstructions. Dining outside felt like having a picnic on the canyon edge. For those who would prefer to stay inside, most of the interior tables are along windows and so you will not need to sacrifice the view. The food was good, but not phenomenal. The shrimp ceviche was prepared using micro shrimps. These shrimp are more chewy and resemble fish food, and so appeared a little cheap. The BBQ ribs on the other hand were tender and delicious. I ordered the full pound option, which is about 3/4 of a rack. The restaurant also had a decent list of local and regional beers, at least from the perspective of someone from the East Coast. Overall, this is one of the best places to experience what Twin Falls has to offer.

The food is good. I think anyone who thinks this is a "view only" place must have been there on a very "off" night. We had trout and a steak special (hanger steak, I think), and they were both quite good. The steak, especially. It was served with a chimichurri sauce of some sort, and it was delicious. We loved the fact that a place with such a beautiful view also had a great wine list and good food. Most of our meal was local - Idaho wine, potatoes, trout and beef. That added to the charm of the meal. Together with the great view, I'd say this is a winner. The staff was friendly, and they were very accommodating with our toddler, too. I'm marking "NOT good for kids", because, you know, it's not a burger joint with a playground. But it's not bad for kids, either. They have a children's menu, so their clearly expecting families. It's "fancy" in that it's very pretty, the menu is more sophisticated than burgers, and the prices aren't low. But the sound system is pumping out classic rock. It's not a stuffy place. If you want to drink a great glass of wine while enjoying the Snake River canyon view AND listening to "We Are The Champions", this is your place.

Had an awesome experience at Elevation. The atmosphere and service was excellent! The food was superb as well. Definitely going to return.

Excellent food! Excellent view! Salads, appetizer (artichoke), and duck were great. Great selection of wine and beer. And the view from the patio is unbelievable.

This place was amazing and I am really surprised by the 3 star rating and other peoples comments. The food was delicious! We started with spinach and caesar salads and they were tasty. The rolls and huckleberry butter were fantastic! For dinner we had the trout and pork tenderloin dishes. Both dishes were prepared well and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We shared a bottle of wine and dessert. All this for $70 seemed like a smokin deal! The hostess who seated us was snotty, she was young and seemed to have an attitude. Our waitress on the other hand was fabulous and made our evening very enjoyable. The view from this place is spectacular and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Twin Falls. Make sure to sit outside if the weather permits!

My boyfriend and I were in town for a business trip and wanted to try Elevation 486, since the website advertised a breathtaking view. After reading other reviews, I am glad We weren't the only ones who were confused about the entrance. When walking into the side entrance next to the bar, we were greeted by the bartender, but not directed to a seat. My boyfriend and I stood in the doorway for a couple minutes unitl the same bartender directed us to choose any table we would like. We sat down and were given the brunch menu. I chose the Idaho scramble and my boyfriend chose the club house omelete. Our food was delicious, until I found a fly in the middle of the plate! The fly was fried with my potatoes! I flagged down the manager,Joe. His statement about the situation was surprsingly an unapologetic statement, "Well, that's not good" and took my plate. With our stomachs turning we were ready for our check. Joe came back and stated "There are a lot of cows, so we have a lot of flies." We did not receive an apology of any sort. He asked if we would like a gift card to come back before we left town. We politely declined. He did remove my meal and drink from the chech, which we greatly appreciated. Simply the fact of having a cooked fly in my food was not as bad as having a rude, unapologetic manager who approached the situation in an unprofessional manner. The wonderful server we had was more apologetic than the manager. As we walked out of the door we did not even receive a good-bye from the manager standing behind the bar talking to one of his coworkers. Never again do I wish to experience Elevation 486's "fine dining" experience.

Good thing the view is great because the food is so overrated that it's hardly worth the money. Drinks were flat, bread that came with the brie app was stale, green beans were frozen from a bag. The meatloaf tasted like spam and the fries were bland. Wouldn't go back. Ever.

I moved to Twin Falls nearly 20 years ago. Until yesterday, I struggled to recommend a finer dining option in Twin Falls. I would always suggest the Plateau Room in Jackpot if you wanted a great experience and were willing to drive 45 miles. Locally, I found the price, comfort, and quality of food at Rock Creek to be most appealing amongst the limited choices. Elevation 486 has altered everything. Absolutely wonderful food from start to finish. There were a few steps of service that I felt took away from what was damn near perfect. As an example, the soup was served with a package of oyster crackers. This felt very fast-food like. High quality filet mignon served to the correct temp and seasoned to perfection. A wonderful cut of prime rib served at 900pm that was still medium rare. Bread and salad were both exceptional as well. We had a filet, prime rib, an app, and a bottle of wine for $85 and it was worth every single dollar. If you want a so-so meal at a discount price, go elsewhere. If you want an exceptional meal, go no nowhere else but here.

This was one of those serendipity stops, only a few miles off our east west route, that was a real bonus. Once we discovered the snake river gorge, finding this restaurant was a logical choice. The food was quite good (I had a daily special, Tuscan herbed chicken and hubby had pork tenderloin with port, mushroom and hoisin reduction). Service was excellent, wine list offered a good variety, lots of local beers on tap, and very reasonable prices for the quality of food, incredible views, great service and nice ambiance. We will go the few miles out of the way to come here again.

The view is fabulous. Service was great and food was ok. Prices a little high for food quality. A diverse menu offering. Going for drinks and the view, totally worth it.

The wait staff at elevation 486 were terrible despite trying to get their attention for about an hour they ignored me eventually I left and they where nor even half full plus the place looked dirty inside I would not return and would not recommend this place.

This place is the bomb! What a view. It sits at the edge of the canyon with a golf course at the bottom. The decor and view combined make for a romantic or special night out. There is also live music on weekends. The food very good. We are big fans of great steak. This one was very good. We tried the Elk sliders, rib eye and filet mignon. The meat was perfectly cooked with that outside char you want in a good steak but still medium rare inside as we ordered. Just be aware that most things we ordered were a bit garlic heavy. Ok with us but you may want to ask to tone it down if you like. The sides were also excellent. We had the mushrooms, grilled asparagus, sweet potato mashed and the au-gratin potatoes. Portions more than enough for 2. The cocktails and food were well made and inexpensive. Overall I give this place 5 stars for food and atmosphere combined. I would give it a 4 for the steak alone as I have had others that were truly a five. You will not be disappointed though. I would definitely come back again and again.

Best restaurant in Twin Falls! Artichoke for appetizer is a must get! The view is amazing and for my entree I had the flat iron steak which was also very good! Looking for a great place to eat it's at 486!

Seated outside for the view, little did I know that there were about 2 dozen filth flies waiting for me at the table. Welcome to modern day pest control, call a damn service to take care of the issue. Appetizer and salad were good, featured steak was tougher than my standard Navy issued oxfords. Waitress recognized the pest issue but offered nothing in the way of apology or even a comp'd cup of coffee. Disappointed!

We read the reviews and decided to give Elevation 486 a try. We were on our way from Fort Collins, CO to Sun Valley to join up with family members and we spent the night in Twin Falls. We know the Sawtooth Club in Ketchum and were pleased to find out this is the sister restaurant. We arrived at 7:15PM without a reservation and were promptly taken to our table. The dining area was full and we noticed the bar area on the way in was not. We asked to be moved to the bar and got a fantastic table with an evening view of the area. We ordered the ribs and meatloaf and a bottle of wine. The wine selection is good. I do not order ribs often (usually at the County Line in Austin, TX) and I thought these were very tender but maybe not as flavorful as some I've had. The meatloaf was fantastic. It pushed the boundaries on flavors and was a bit spicy - something to order again. I'm glad to know of this restaurant in Twin Falls as previous culinary excursions have been disappointing. My rating is really a 3 1/2 but I'm marking a four because I think the patio dining and other aspects we didn't have time to explore will make this an eating place of choice when we drive through again.

It's not often you'll find me writing a review for a restaurant in Idaho. I live in the Bay Area. But I don't understand why this place only gets 3 stars. It is probably the best food in town. We were on a 3800 mile road trip and while we were in Reno we met a native of Twin Fall who told us to go here. We had driven for hundreds of miles through a veritable dearth of any decent food. I was almost put off by the poor reviews but I'm glad I was not. The service was warm, friendly and prompt. The food was very tasty, and the view was amazing. It's a beautiful building on the edge of a very dramatic canyon. We enjoyed the beautiful view as the sun set. Is it the kind of 5 star cuisines you would get in the Bay Area? No. Is it solid, tasty, healthy made with local ingredients? Yes! And is the best food for hundreds of miles? Yes, yes! The view alone was worth 5 stars. I loved the huckleberry butter with the bread. We had a nice fresh salad and a burger without a bun. It was very good but I wish I had ordered the Idaho Trout. I saw the table next to me eating it and it looked yummy. Our server Blanca was also amazing. When you are tired and road weary it is wonderful to be so well taken care of. She recommended we go to Shoshone Falls. We did the next day. I would have missed this local gem if it was not for her. I say if you are in Twin Falls this place is not to missed!

Fabulous views, clean restaurant, primo service, and quality food. Elevation brings a whole new aspect to Twin Falls. Skip the Applebee's or Chili's and go just around the corner to this establishment. You will be happy you did.

Overall, pretty good. The service was good and the view is awesome. It overlooks the Snake River canyon. You also have a nice view of the bridge. I would rate the food as slightly above average. I had the tri-tip sandwich and fries. The fries were actually really good. The sandwich was okay. I went with a larger group (around 15) and the easily accommodated the large group. Most of the group was saying the same stuff I said above (decent food, great view).

I visited this restaurant twice in the last two weeks. First time I had a rare tuna tower. Not the best. I usually devour these things (cheesecake factory) but there was just something wrong with the fish. Boyfriend had a steak and they soaked it in butter. We were disappointed. I decided to give it one more shot, I had the scallops this time....much better. I will go back, get their famous pork medalions.

I want to hate this place because it's on the North-end of Twin Falls and I hate how investors are turning the canyon rim into a strip mall instead of investing in Twin Falls Downtown core -- but I can't hate this place. It had too many good qualities to justify hate. Their burgers are just amazing. The kaiser bun really makes this burger stand out. Their appetizers look tasty, but they're marginal. The pita pizza sauce tasted like sauce from a jar, and the steak in my steak quesadilla tasted like it had been reheated after sitting for an hour. The drink prices aren't terrible either, although I felt $8.50 was a couple dollars too much for a well liquor Black Opal. Customer service: just fine. Elevation 486 has the best outdoor seating right now, but that's not saying much. Sure these canyon rim places have the canyon rim for a view, but after awhile it gets a little boring. Twin Falls doesn't have any place with outdoor seating that provides one of the best things about outdoor seating: people watching! However, the only people watching you can do in Twin Falls is at the mall or Golden Carrol (but why would you want to people watch there?). Also, like it's direct competitor, there's no seating in the sun, which is perfect of these beautiful Spring (or Fall) days. Really, the closest to "fine" dining in Twin Falls is Elevation 486. It's the "classy" place in Twin Falls.

This is one of the classier places in town. Totally has a metro/yuppie feel to it. Has one hell of a view of the canyon. The most recent night we went to was Valentines Day night. BUSY!! We were fortunate to get a table without much waiting. But, no matter how busy it was we got our drinks ordered/delivered within 10 minutes and ordered our food shortly thereafter. The food came and everything was solid. The burger I had was awesome in that it DID in fact have that unique restaurant-flavor that a 10.00 burger should have. My fries were hot, salty and great. I've also been there for drinks. Every time it is simply a very pleasant experience. Local IPA's on tap, a huge wine selection, knowledgeable staff. Sweet views of the canyon, akin to a religious experience. Some say Elevation is pricey. 5.00 for a 16oz. beer, 10.00 for a burger and fries. My wife had a stake on Valentine's Day, 18.00(sides included). Typical restaurant prices.

Had the ribeye steak and it was very good. We enjoyed everything, although we got the feeling that the soup and appetizers were the same items we had sampled at Costco the week before... This is a nice restaurant with good food. We'll be eating there again soon. Update 9/10/2011: Ate here tonight and it was really bad. I gave it 4 stars before, now i give it two. It was that bad. I ordered the ribeye again and I don't know what they brought but it wasn't a ribeye. It was horrible. Other people in our party of 6 received cold sides and similarly bad steaks. Very disappointing. For the price we paid I expected much better food. Probably my last time eating here.

I love Elevation 486. As far as Twin Falls goes, this is the best restaurant in town! The biggest and only complaint I have is when seated near the entrance/bar, the noise can almost be too noisy. However, with the views of the canyon, the great food and service, you cannot go wrong!

I definitely think that Elevation 486 is the nicest restaurant in Twin Falls. I've been there about 5 times over the last year. The food is interesting, and cooked well, the menu changes so there is variety. The food is consistent and the restaurant is tastefully done in a beautiful building. The view of Twin Falls canyon overlooking the Snake River is fabulous. The service could have been a bit better this evening. We sat outside and the waitress forgot to bring our menus and never brought bread, nor did she offer up the soups of the day. However, when asked she knew what they were and she was friendly. I got the ribeye medium with loaded baked potato. I always get the blue cheese wedge salad with my entree. It is soooo good. Tonight I had a Coppola Cabernet with my meal. It was very good. I recommend it. I think the restaurant could do with getting some heat lamps for the patio. I bet it would boost clientele - everyone loves to look at the view. There is plenty of parking, and a nice bar area with big screens for anyone wanting to do happy hour. I will definitely be back again.

My friends and I went on a Sunday evening and sat on the patio. Such a pretty venue and the atmosphere was so relaxed. The ribs were so tender and flavorful. The duck was undercooked and over seasoned. Not good. Good service and overall it was a fun time.

absolutely stunning view of the snake river canyon at sunset. as for the food not very good. service fair. i ordered a steak, potatoe and salad. the salad was your typical lettuce with ranch. the steak was cooked ok but was not hot as it sat up at the waiting area for a while. the potatoe was obviously baked a couple of hours before, was not hot and also sat up at the waiting area for an extended period of time. The service was ok. i would go back solely for the view but not much else. sometimes you overlook a lot of bad stuff for one great thing-view at sunset.

Not a very good place we sat out on the patio and we had to wait 15m for our drinks, and the food was very bland. And it wasn't very busy. Not good. It has a good view. But we may try it out again. Idk maybe.

When we entered the restaurant to be seated, one of the servers was sitting at a nearby table eating. I didn't think anything of until she stood and started talking with her mouthful asking if we were there for dinner. We replied yes and she mumbled through her food that she wasn't sure where the hostess was. I would have left if my company wasn't buying dinner, as it was pretty gross and unprofessional. In addition, another server had a chest tattoo. I have nothing against people with tattoos, but one on an older, haggard woman's chest makes me want to throw up in my mouth while I'm dining. Two stars instead of one because the food was free.

My husband and I went there for the first time last weekend. We were warned of the bad service but gave it a try anyway. The hostess was rude, she didn't take our name and told us the wait should be a few minutes and then started seating people that came after us. I kindly informed her that we were there first and she just laughed and said her brain was elsewhere with no apology. Once seated, we enjoyed the atmosphere and actually had a wonderful waitress. I gave it three stars mainly because of the food. I ordered the Chicken Marsala that came very dry and unseasoned. My husband ordered the Mediterranean Seafood Linguine and his seafood was very tough plus 3 out of 5 of the mussels were empty. I would go back and give them a second try because the atmosphere is awesome and maybe the cook was overworked.

First off, I'd give this thing 3 1/2 stars...it's not quite four and it's definitely a bit better than A-OK. I guess residents of Twin Falls have really needed this place for a long time. The place was packed on Friday night and we didn't have a reservation. They still got us in for our anniversary dinner. My bf had the pork chop with plum, soy, ginger sauce and I had the trout. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, but the sauce (which was amazing) was so assertive the meat got lost in it; I suspect a different cut of pork would've been able to shine with the delectable sauce. The trout was bland. I barely got a hint of the red pepper sauce. It was cooked perfectly. The rice pilaf was a bit off-putting because the wild rice was underdone. However, the flavors were lovely. The star of our meal was the grilled artichoke appetizer. All I can say is it was divine and I think I'll be grilling artichokes from now on. Once we were seated the service was awesome. Our server knew the menu and she was extremely helpful and she was quite attentive. Next time we're back in Twin Falls we might pay a visit.

I'd been dying to go to this place, so I finally went! I had really high expectations because I'm a city girl, accustomed to VERY good food when one wants to spend money on it! I hold my standards pretty high for pricier restaurants! Well...first of all.. I want to let all of you know it is NOT casual. I would say appropriate dress for this place is dressy business casual if anything! Someplace if I knew better, would have dressed me and my daughter up for. Definitely not a place to wear second hand clothing! Everyone there was very conservative and had money, but it was nice to see a place bumpin on a Tues. early evening! I was wanting to get my mind blown by the food, but it didn't happen, folks. My salad that came with the meal ( shame on ME for not asking for my dressing on the side), was DRENCHED to the point of almost being unedible with salad dressing. My trout was DRENCHED in way too salty butter. The fish was extra fishy and had no unique or popping flavors.I WOULD go back for the friendly staff and atmosphere, and as others have mentioned, a remarkable view of the canyon. But if you wanna dress "casual" and have tattoos, prepare to get stared at.
