This restaurant is amazing! Great ambiance. We sat on the lower porch by the lake and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The trout was delicious! After dinner we moved to the bar which is very comfortable and well stocked. Definitely don't miss out on this gem.

Excellent food with a perfect view of the lake. Hard to get waiters attention as they were not very friendly. Pricey but worth it for the lake view. Solid bar need to try their dessert menu.

One of the best meals I can remember having. Amazing setting and super friendly service staff. The menu offers something for everyone and the hors d'oeuvres were simply delicious. Can't say enough good things about the experience.

We enjoyed our meal here for sure! We had a great server, the building and the setting were beautiful, and the food was tasty. They have some micro brews on tap (5 maybe?) and good drink selection. My mom enjoyed her Rosemary cocktail. So why not 5 stars? The food was good but the price point didn't quite reflect the quality of the food. My cedar plank salmon didn't taste fresh and I had a bite of the golden trout and it also didn't seem fresh. That being said it was tasty but I have had many other meals that cost the same but are better. Their menu has some unique/creative items on it so bonus points for that! I would give 4.5 stars if I could. I do recommend giving it a try!

So delicious!! We traveled here to visit family over the Thanksgiving weekend and wanted to spoil ourselves a little. We were immediately welcomed and felt right at home. Our waiter, Paul, was great and offered up daily specials (bangers and mash) and appetizers. I've heard from the family that the steak is the best so I ordered the pirogis and followed by the Steak Oscar. Talk about incredible. I wish I could have eaten more! The pirogis were so delicious - I felt like I wanted to eat the whole plate (but graciously left a few bites for the other half). The steak oscar was great! Lots of goodness drizzled on top with crab and some amazing mashed potatoes. Overall, awesome experience, beautiful views and great food!

I really wanted to give this place more than 2 stars. First let me say the setting is beautiful, and the service great... However all of our food(party of four) was mediocre at best. The salads were flat. I had the kale salad which was nothing more than kale from a bag mixed with a little pine nuts and dressing. Usually the kale is julienned to make it less tough. The other diners had the capresse salad which they described as "bitter". The entrees were also less than expected. Our party had the pasta pescatore, smoked filet and honeycomb salmon. The fish on both the salmon and the pasta dish were so overcooked and very dry. The filet was average , but had so much sauce/salad covering the top that it really hid the taste of the meat. I am hoping that we were just there on an off night. It really is a lovely setting, but fairly pricey for such poor quality.

Lived in sandpoint almost my whole life and never made it in. Went there for my anniversary and LOVED it!! Waiter was awesome, feel was great, food was outstanding! I had a salad with dried cherry and habanero vinaigrette. I would buy a bottle of the dressing if I could! We walked out spending $53.00 for two people (including wine, excluding tip). It's a higher end restaurant, but totally worth it!

I wanted to give this place 4 stars but there were a few things that brought it down to 3 stars. The good thing about this place was that it had a nice ambiance. The wait staff was attentive but our waiter was a little awkward. He was friendly though. The bad for this place was our water bus girl. I think she was part of "the walking dead". This girl was aimlessly walking and filling water. She didn't smile and made no attempts to be friendly. The other bad was the food was a-ok. It wasn't spectacular and it wasn't the worse I've had. It was just mediocre. I was a little disappointed, considering the price. Will I give this place another chance when I'm back in Sandpoint? Maybe.

My dad and his wife took us out to dinner here tonight, we have been visiting Sandpoint for a few days. What was great is my father has MS and has to travel by scooter when not traveling by car, I was pleased to see they had ramps and easy access to all areas. We choose to sit outside as the weather was great, just like home but the view was much better, Sandpoint is surrounded by mountains and its next to a lake which I can pronounce but not spell. The staff was very nice and accommodating to my fathers disability. The food the wine, beer , was amazing as was our always smiling waitress Megan. She was very attentive to our needs. What a great place to dine in and around Sandpoint. Cons: the bugs, but hey we chose to sit outside and it's bug season, I'd still eat there again.

We had dinner here and every part about it was perfect. The hostess sat us at a beautiful table on the patio overlooking the water. The service was superb as was the food. Staff A+ friendly, knowledgeable food A+ salmon special A Sea Bass, I did not much care for the cilantro-chimichurri but that is a matter of preference and in no way critical of the dish. Steamed clams we wonderful. all together it was one of the best meal in a long time. Restaurant was spotless and the service was top notch.

love the view but the high school service is garbage. No personality. As for the food it's hit and miss.

They are closed often for private parties. Call ahead.

Visited from Las Vegas, so my expectations are quite high. Fantastic view of the lake, definitely dine outside here if weather permits! Light drizzle of balsamic on the Caesar salad was a pleasant twist on a classic. Best Linguini and Clams I've had in quite a while. Wine list was very good, staff was friendly and they had to keep moving, it was busy. Dessert list was most impressive. Also, there's a Sushi place next door that deserves sampling, it also views the lake and although we didn't go too nuts here, what we did order was authentic and tasty! -Willy G.

My husband and I and 10.5 month old visited 41 S on Sunday morning expecting the scrumptious Sunday brunch buffet. We were sorely disappointed to find out the buffets had been discontinued and reserved only for holidays. Even so, being starved, we ordered the Eggs Benedict and Greek scramble, and my husband ordered a decaf. Then came a small portion of food. The eggs Benedict, while nice to look at, was flavorless and slightly warmed. We ordered it with the spinach and tomato, but it could have been so much better with some avocado. The scramble, however, was quite nice with the feta and portobello mushrooms. The scoop of potatoes and very small salad accompanying the entrees were very tasty, but left us just wanting more. Most notably, the waitress was extremely awkward, and while she was training a new girl, didn't seem to be socially appropriate: speaking too loudly and without a natural interactive ease. I don't typically care, however at no point was my husband offered a refill or freshening up on his coffee. And we were hardly checked on, either. When she asked how the food was at the end of our meal, I explained the lackluster Eggs Benedict, and she was neither apologetic nor helpful, stating only that she would "let them know." We even has to wait a good 10-15 mins to get the check and pay. Overall, this visit was a sure letdown. And $24 later, we weren't pleased at all. The view and ambiance were lovely, but unless service and food improve, as locals, we won't be back.

This is by far my favorite place to eat in Sandpoint. I have worked here in the past, which opened me up to getting to try more off of the menu than I would have if I hadn't had that opportunity, The location is a little bit out of the way compared to other restaurants right downtown, but for the view, it is more than worth it. The seating has multiple levels, some people complain about being seated so far out of the way, but in my eyes they have lucked out on a better view and a quiet dining experience. The restaurant maintains the grounds well, the area looks chic but still fits with the outdoors. My favorite off of the menu is the stuffed chicken, duck, and flat bread pizza. For dessert, when I was there I loved the brownie and peanut butter mousse cake. They are very kid friendly with high chairs available, along with a stash of crayons and a kids menu you can draw on. During the winter it is a bummer that the patio cannot be in use, but inside the warm fire, and lounge like area in the bar, still make for a pleasant experience. All around it is tad spendy, but the best you can get in Sandpoint, and very well run.

Awesome food and really great atmosphere! The desserts are excellent too! Definitely worth the drive from Coeur d'Alene.

Sandpoint is a great restaurant town, and this is one of or very favorites. This evening was our 2nd visit in as many months. My wife ordered the honeycomb salmon, and described it as "exceptional." I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken cordon bleu. Our server, Megan, was wonderful! Looking forward to our next visit...and then our next...

This was a wonderful restuarant with both good service and food - great affordable wine list - fireplace both in the restaurant and bar area. My husband had the smoked fillet which was great and I had the ribs and they were great too - french onion soup - yum! Highly would recommend for dinner....
