Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

I'm not "in to" any kind of pizza, but... The pasta bar is "To Die For!". My grand kids LOVE all the pizza's offered here! We drive fifteen miles and the kids discussion is figgerin out what to try this trip! College students frequent this place and "rant and rave" about the 'all you can eat' option! We LOVE this place! (not to mention, it's Very clean and has several privacy booths) plus free WiFi...

Love eating here!! Has an amazing pasta bar! However it needs to be maned a little more someone needs to stay over there a little more often. I'm tired of having to round someone up every time I want pasta! Over all pricing is pretty good. Staff is friendly. Good place with good food. Pretty clean place sometimes their bathrooms could use a little more up keep but overall not bad.

Pleasant staff and great food. The pizza assortment is wide. The dessert pizza is delectable, I recommend the cookie dough pizza. The selection of pasta and sauces is good.

This is by no means the best pizza I've had, but for being buffet it was very good. They have a wide variety of pizzas, and their dessert pizzas are great. They also serve apple beer, which made me pleased. We went on a dealio night and got the buffet for $6 instead of $7.50 or whatever it usually is. It was really busy and noisy that night but I suppose the savings for my wife and I to eat on the discounted night was worth dealing with the crowds.

Okay, we went back today and the food was MUCH better. The first night we went I have to cut them some slack. They were totally swamped and probably just trying to get pizzas out into the line. The crust is thinner and tastes better today and there is also a lot more consistency with the toppings on the pizza. The service today was also great and the dirty dishes have been pulled from our table right as we finish. Glad I gave them a second chance!

Pizza pie at it again with a buffet that includes pizza, pasta and salad. You absolutely can't go wrong with a 6.25 dinner and literally all the food you could want. The wait is not bad at all and the environment is very inviting. A definite must if you're on a budget but still want to enjoy eating out!

  • Denae L.

It's pretty decent. The best is obviously the desert pizza, but really I've never had something I didn't like. It can get really crazy in there sometimes, but they try really hard to make sure all their pizzas are in stock. The salad bar is also yummy, I feel like they've got a good selection of toppings. Even if it's not the most healthy ;)

  • Jeremy L.

Pizza here is as good as a buffet can get, the reason for the low stars is that they advertised happy hour as Monday- Friday 2-4 for $6.00 per buffet. Though we went today and got charged 7.25, after I asked the cashier about happy hour they told me they don't do it on move in dates for the college. I have attached their advertisement and my receipt. Be careful of false advertising here.

The regular pizzas are pretty gross. I like heh dessert pizzas though. The oreo and cookie dough are on point. The salad bar is also pretty good.

POSITIVES: For all-you-can-eat pizza, it's pretty good! Great variety of tasty pizzas with unique flavors and toppings (especially the dessert pizzas). The staff is some of the most accommodating and friendly in Rexburg. Some days (or hours) are cheaper. Some deals are well worth it. NEGATIVES: you often need to wait a while for the pizza you want to come out. Tables aren't always the cleanest. PRICE: about $8 per person. RECOMMENDED: definitely try the chipotle chicken pizza, firefighter rick, the oreo and the cookie dough dessert pizzas.

This is by far the best pizza buffet of all time. Don't come here to get an artisan or wood-oven baked pizza. Its a buffet, its under $10 a person, stop comparing it to places where a single pizza costs twice as much. They have a huge variety of pizzas, they have a good salad bar and their pasta bar is great. They have a bunch of different sauces all of which are extremely flavorful. You definitely get your money worth. If you are in town or anywhere near a pizza pie cafe. You need to try it out! The dessert pizzas are amazing as well. EAT HERE!!!!!

  • Jennifer S.

Not terrible for a pizza buffet. The pasta sauces are very bland. The dessert pizzas are the best part and the salad bar is pretty good. However, almost every time we've been here the restaurant itself is pretty dirty. Trash on the floor here and there and always dirty dishes piled on tables.

  • Chris S.

Food is a little better than the quality you might expect from a $6 buffet. Salad bar is my favorite. It has always been fresh and crisp. Pasta is good too but some of the sauces are swimming in grease. Pizza is mostly bread. I don't come for the pizza though. I come for the salad bar and the Apple beer. As a side note, their dessert pizzas are incredible! You must try the cookie dough and the Oreo dessert pizzas.

The pizza tastes like cardboard. The only good thing is that it is fairly cheap. But in my opinion it's expensive for such crappy food.

  • T G.

Skip it unless you like flavorless pasta & sauces. Ranch dressing was watered down to the point of pouring white liquid over my salad. Pizza was mediocre at best BUT their gluten free pizza is pretty good. Overall for the cost there are better choices in Rexburg.

  • Jailynn Z.

I mean where else can you go to get a pizza buffet in this area? They have a huge variety of pizzas, even yummy dessert pizzas! I like getting their salad and pasta sometimes too. One thing is for sure, you are getting what you pay for and you won't leave hungry! They also have pretty good pazookies or cookie monsters, I don't know what they are called there.

  • Christy H.

The door says they open at 11am. It's currently 11:05 and there isn't one pizza out. If you have a pizza buffet, don't open till your pizzas are out. This is ridiculous. I'm wondering how long I'll have to wait for a gourmet pizza.... :/

  • Lisa H.

I have been here a few times and every time I go I wonder why I came back. The prices are ok but that's because the food is just ok. The pizza is nothing amazing and their pasta is horrible. I always have to wait forever for someone to come out and make my pasta. Also the pizza serving area is always crowded. Also every time I have gone the soda has been flat with no carbonation. I told a worker and they said they would check it right away and 15 min latter it was still flat. Workers are not that friendly and it's always super hot inside. Probably won't go back again.

This used to be "Craigo's," but now it's called "Pizza Pie Cafe." Whatever you call it, it's still a great place for lunch or dinner. They have expanded their successful business model throughout the region. Most people just order the buffet, which comes with a salad bar, pasta bar, and a wide range of specialty pizzas. They have an unbelievable variety of unique pizzas in addition to the classics. The buffalo chicken and the pepperoni & jalapeño are two of my favorites. They also feature 4 or 5 different dessert pizzas; they're all great. You can also order the giant "Cookie Monster," which is my kids' favorite, but not included in the buffet. The pasta bar is very nice, featuring many kinds of pasta and sauces. My favorites include the spinach fettucini with roasted red pepper sauce (incredible) and the radiatori with spicy sausage sauce (wow). The buffet is generally $6.99, but they frequently have specials and e-coupons. The food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. You will not walk away disappointed (or hungry).

I never got the hype of this place.... Prices were descent for a buffet, but it was frustrating never having enough pizza out. They always seemed to be running behind on quantity and the pizza was very mediocre. I however did enjoy their desert pizza, that stuff was pretty good.

Upon searching for food choices when visiting Yellowstone Bear World, this place came up on the Yelp & Google searches. On ratings and comments, it seemed too good. But I have to agree, there cannot be anything negative about this place. Upon entering, the service from Stephanie made me & my whole family happy. So not only the place offered like 20+ kinds of pizza, pasta & salad choices, but Stephanie said that any kind of pizza combo that we wanted was also possible to order. Any ingredient or formation that is. We ordered 3-4 different kind, which were all very good. But the best pizza was, without doubt the Oreo one. It was the first of its kind I've ever tasted. Its a must taste for everyone. In the end, Stephanie also offered us a Cookie Dough pie, exclusively for my family for being there for the 1st time. All in all, one awesome place with cool & friendly folks.

Decent pizza. I didn't like the pasta sauces, I thought they were pretty plain. The pizza buffet is the way to go.

The food isn't the best, but it's the best deal in town. The salad bar is ok, the pasta is decent, and the pizza is pretty good. The pizzas are unique, offering a wide array of flavors and choices. The dessert pizzas are phenomenal, worth the price alone.

  • Amanda D.

Excellent prices for all-you-can eat salad, pasta, pizza, and dessert. The salad bar was clean and well-stocked. Pizza was great, and pasta was great too. I had no complaints and would go back again.

  • Ryan D.

I would give it three and a half stars if I could. The pizza isn't the best but they offer a wide range of different types of pizza to choose from. The buffet comes with pasta and salad which makes coming here more worth it. This is a perfect place to come when you are very hungry and can't decide what kind of pizza you want. I always tend to over eat when I come here.

The pizza average, but it's all you can eat, so I live with it. Not bad, but not great
