Woohoo...as good as it gets in the inland NW and perhaps even all the way to Portland and Seattle. Infidel is the beer of choice but I haven't ever had a bad pint and have tried all the varieties. Locally owned and operated. The owner's wife is an ex-public education employee who is now putting her faith in beer to pay the bills. You gotta love that! Come out and support these guys and enjoy the great brew at the same time. PS-Currently Thursday night's are the night of choice with a brat cart in the parking lot and live music inside.

Super neat place. If I liked beer this would have been a great hangout spot. I can't stomach most brews, so I just sat with my group and observed. Haha! They were very happy with the selection. They had two rounds of tasters with all their options available. From light to dark, I got to watch them gauge each beer. It was very interesting. The decor is simply stunning. There are three old church lights inside that give it a wonderful ambiance. I only wish they served ciders to make my trip more enjoyable. If you like beer, talking beer, neat decor and chilling out...this is your place.

Monastery-themed micro brewery to match their Belgian style beers. Service is super friendly. The owners were hanging out, chatting with everyone, and drinking a pint of their own. I loved hearing geeky beer-talk in every corner of the place. Their Infidel Belgian IPA is so damn good. Stone's Cali Belgique was my favorite of the category, but Infidel definitely takes my top pick with its more delightful citrus hoppy lingering aftertaste. I crave.

Yet to drink beers when the owner and his wife are not there to make sure everyone has a full pint. Laid back atmosphere with hearty brews, if you're interested in top 40 music and binge drinking then you're hard pressed to find a beer that suits your style here.

Great beer, good atmosphere, but need a tap board or at least menus, or at the very least an updated website I can pull up so I can decide what to try next. If I can't remember what something was called I can't recommend it to a friend.

Anyone who loves excellent craft beer will absolutely want to make their way over to Post Falls in and try a flight of Selkirk's wonderful beer! Not only does Selkirk make four (soon to be five) of their own brews, but they also have five rotating guest handles with truly remarkable brews on tap for excellent prices. When we visited, they had Duchesse de Bourgogne and Laughing Dog's bourbon barrel-aged Dogfather on tap, as well as offerings from Odell, New Belgium and Lost Abbey. My favorite of the beer they are currently offering is a Belgian IPA called "Infidel". Dry hopped with Citra, it's incredibly well balanced and deeply flavorful; you will want more than one! Other beers they have on tap right now include their "Deacon", a dry, smooth pale ale, the "White", an American Wheat (served with a fresh slice of orange) and the "Saint Stephen", a wonderfully rich and complex yet delightfully sessionable Saison. I'm also very enamored of their majestically appointed yet comfortably cozy taproom. While there's plenty of space at the bar, there are also high and low tables and the area even boasts a thick-cushioned couch to sink down into in front of a fireplace. A television tuned to a sports channel has the volume off so you can still check the scores while enjoying the excellent and ever-changing ambient music. It's such an all-encompassing atmosphere, too... whether you're on an intimate date or hanging out with a large, beer loving group, this taproom seems perfect for all people and any occasion. Selkirk Abbey has started something really good out in Post Falls and I believe they will quickly become an imbibing destination for serious beer aficionados. I know they certainly have become one for me!

Nice new space with cool decorations here and there, and a comfy love seat in front of the fireplace. OK, it's a gas fireplace, but flame is a flame and when I'm warm I'm happy. What also makes me happy is when the staff knows their a** from a hole in the ground, and these guys have the 411 on just about anything you ask them. They are very engaging, friendly, eager to please, and are very proud of what they have there. Enjoyed my time there while passing through and will definitely drop by again.

Great little place to hang out. Awesome beer. Knowledgeable staff. I was very pleased with this place. Wish I could take it with me when I move. You have to go and try their saison beers. Very good and interesting.

Pretty much my favorite craft brewery in the area. They focus on Belgian style beers, and they do them well. Casual atmosphere, friendly staff, great beers. Very complementary to the other craft breweries in the area that mainly focus on traditional Northwest style beers. Their different focus really sets them apart.

Fantastic Place! Great Beer! The main room is really nice and laid back and the brewmasters and the staff are all very knowledgable and nice! Without a doubt my favorite brewery to visit and bring growlers home from!

nice upscale brewery. off the beaten path.. actually somewhat tough to find.. but worth seeking out. Only had one beer.. as the beer flight tasters were a bit pricey. I would return if i'm in the area for a cold one. Very pleasant owners and staff.

Great place, amazing beer!! The owner has a love for trappist style ales, so they produce rich, flavorful beer, without coming across as pretentious. You can taste the love and dedication in each different beer. The husband and wife still stand behind the bar and pour, so you get to hear the story of each beer too...really cool! Love the saisons, the St. Stephen and the 12°.

I really like their atmosphere and unique beers. Their bartender was extremely knowledgeable about their beers (didn't catch her name). Had a chance to meet the owner and she was great as well. Love supporting local businesses. :)

Good beer and nice atmosphere. Our waitress, who I think was the owner, was a little rude. There was no beer list. All of the descriptions were given by our waitress and for 8+ taps that's a little overwhelming. I attempted to pull up a list from the website on my phone but it was not updated. Please get a list and hire an actual waitstaff. Beer was great though and I suppose that's the important thing.

My hat's off to the folks behind Selkirk Abbey for taking a pass on the typical Northwest brews and focusing on producing quality Belgian style and Belgian-inspired ales. For better or worse, I'm much more of a hophead than most of their offerings can satisfy, but I certainly found a few that made my palate happy. We chatted a bit with who I assume is the brewmaster, who took great pride in the beers he was pouring and described his own odyssey from hophead to Belgian aficionado, essentially forsaking hops for a period to focus on malts and yeasts. This seems to have paid off, as the Abbey brews are as distinctive as what you'd find from across the pond. As part of my sampler he included two variations on a pale ale - the same malt and hops, but with different yeast strains (one domestic, one Belgian), and the difference is pretty striking. I did end up leaving with a growler of the Infidel Belgian Style IPA, thereby satisfying my hop cravings with a little Belgian spicy twist. Apart from the beers, they've done a nice job creating a comfortable taproom in a light industrial area between I-90 and the river. It's a bit off the beaten path, but worth the trek for some nice craft beer.

Disclosure: home brewer that appreciates Belgian beers but prefers IPA's. This is the next Grand Teton. What I mean by this is small town brewery with huge skills and potential. Clearly you have to try the Infidel: their signature Belgian style double IPA. But everything else is awesome. These guys blend Belgian style beers with a northwest flare. I would not say the best northwest brewery I've been to, but, EASILY in the top five. If you know anything about brewing in the northwest, then you know you MUST visit this place.

The beer here is delicious! atmosphere is cool but they don't serve any food..giving them 4 stars simply because they don't have food. The staff is really friendly and are great about informing you about their beer! I love the IPA and my husband is a huge fan of the dark stuff! Great place, check it out!

Finest example of Belgian beer in the region. This place is all about the beer and it shows. Make sure you have a designated driver though, the Infidel Belgian DIPA will put you DOWN! Love the atmosphere, bar tenders, and especially the perfectly crafter Belgian style brews. ONE OF THE BEST BREWERIES IN THE INLAND NORTHWEST REGION!!!!!

Do you like really amazing domestic attempts at the Belgian beer style? These guys are doing such a great job. Wow. Very impressive. I love their quad and other trad. Belgian styles. But they also do a great job experimenting with styles...like the Black Saison! The taproom is also a nice experience. The room itself is very inviting, nicely decorated and simple...with bar (obviously) and some additional seating. The staff is very nice and it seems likely you can chat up one of the brewers if you stop by. They are excited to discuss the beer and so am I. I'm so proud Selkirk is from Idaho. Way to go team.
