Love the tap room at Downdraft. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Amy. She was awesome and took time to chat with us about their different beers and process. They also provide goldfish and pretzels which is a huge bonus for me!

We discovered this new microbrewery just down the street from our house. Their beer list is still growing but we like the Seltice SMaSh IPA. The Exit 5 Brown is smooth. The location is sort of off the grid but well worth the search.

Downdraft had become my favorite brewery in the CDA Spokane area. The beer has just gotten better and better.

Why didn't so provide a five star review? Here's why...any local brew house needs to find a way to serve snacks with beers to keep people happy as they spend money inside the establishment. I would gladly provide five stars for the smoke beer taps and delightful, friendly service. I scored the groupon for four people and was excited for the awesome cost savings. The beers: 1. The exit 5 BROWN Ale: this was a crowd pleaser. The brown is nicely colored, not too dark and not too clear. Nicely bodied, great cocoa smell and a great balance of flavors. 2. SMASH IPA: this is a simple IPA that utilizes only one grain and one hop. This style used to be the home brewers way of tasting the flavor profile of a single hop and grain source. This IPA is an American style with floral & tropical notes when consumed. The color was pale, clear and easy to swill. 3. Stout: this stout is infused with whiskey flavors which I don't care for--the beer is nicely prepared and not too horribly bitter. 4. third channel IPA: this is the English style IPA that has the resin flavor of pine needles mixed with bitters from the turpentine tree. It's bitter but well balanced with the sweetness from the grain profile. I'm never a huge fan off this style beer.

This is a new little local brewery with pretty decent beer! The location is difficult to find even with GPS. Just make sure you turn by Midas and head south in the parking lot. I would have spent more time there but it took a long time to find it and I was planning just a pre dinner drink. The atmosphere was nice. It took me going to the counter to be waited on. Service will need a little work. I enjoyed the pretzel, gold fish snacks to clear my palate between taster beers. The pale ale was not offensive, the IPA was amazing, the brown ale and regular porter were solid. Clean up the service and I would definitely give this brewery a 4 star.

Beers pretty good. Only thing is they don't chill sampler or pint glasses. When I drink warm beer it ruins the taste and experience.

Loved the atmosphere! Service was so personal and attentive! My husband had an amber and loved it. I had their red wine. Such a great place to have a drink and relax! Loved our time there! Will definitely be back!!
