Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

The food is not good but even worse is the service. They advertise specials on their website and then said they have never heard of any specials. Wow also I hate to say it but the woman that served us let other Hispanic people that were in line behind us go first and said we needed to wait. I feel like white people are not very welcomed by this particular female employee. It is sad we are paying customers that are respectful and do not believe in cursing or treating anyone in a way we would not like to be treated. I will not no go back. My best advice is to steer clear of this place. Your not missing out on good food and no one wants to pay money to be treated as a second class citizen.

Love me some good Mexican in Idaho.

I have tried the two locations in Nampa and both are low quality and suffer the same problems. The employees are inconsiderate and do not know their own menu. Seriously had to go through the drive through three times before they got my order right. And instead of trying to correct the mistake they try to push the blame on the customer. Also, they are not open 24 hours! False advertising. I went to both locations in the middle of the night after the bar on Saturday and they were closed (went back the next day for some lunch). If the food was good, I could forgive these shortcomings, but unfortunately, it is not. It is low quality, cheaply made, and definitely not with care for their product. For example, my burrito (which they made wrong twice) had huge chunks of uncooked bell peppers and onions. Is it really that difficult to grill up some veggies? There is also little flavor, probably due to lack of knowledge of how to cook and properly use spices. I have to give it to them in one area, I have never gone to a local "Mexican" restaurant chain and thought that Taco Bell was better. On par with national fast food chains, and just as crappy. BOTTOM LINE: just say no to Los Betos

The woman that works the counter in the morning has no people skills. She helped me and my husband and acted as she was doing us a favor and was rude. We ordered a breakfast burrito, when we went to pay she said she had no change from a 20.00 We then gave her a 5.00. We asked for a glass of water, she said that would be 50 cents extra, really!!!! She then handed the burrito in a bag when we said it was to eat there and not to go. My husband took the bag and asked for a plate, she again said it would be 50 cents extra. She was very sarcastic. We took the food and left. We will never go back. We felt we were being discriminated against because of being white. Really!!!! Only in this country! She is the foreigner and made us feel like we didn't belon Will never be back there.

Egads! No chance ever again! I've had my issues with most Los Betos locations around the Treasure Valley and I'm beginning to think Los Betos facilitates a culture of poor food quality as part of it's business model. I stopped by this location this morning and stood at the register approximately 3 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Not a good start. I saw an advertisement for a "Loco Burrito" for $4.99 and it peaked my interest. Carne Asada, whole beans, rice, cilantro, onion and hot red sauce. Not being a huge fan of cilantro (because no one I've ever met didn't have a heavy hand when adding cilantro), I asked for my burrito without cilantro. I guess you could say my order was pretty simple: Loco Burrito without cilantro. I eventually received my burrito. While in hand and attempting my first bite, I found the burrito unsealed. It was just waiting to spill everywhere. I took my first bite and all I received was rice onion. My goodness did I get onions! It was like my burrito was made with double onion because I asked for no cilantro. I also didn't get any whole beans as advertised. I received a dose of typical smashed re-fried beans. And no red sauce! This burrito was the most dry single piece of food I've ever eaten. I would have rather eaten sand than this burrito. After this Los Betos experience, I'll never visit another Lost Betos as long as I live. You can be disappointed only so many times before you finally learn a true lesson.

Never had a more negative treatment by an owner/manager. Tv was blaring law & order when we walked in and we asked if they could lower volume: ummm not really. Ok, we got our orders in after waiting 5 minutes and then i changed tv to menu to mute it- we were only customers inside (should have been a big hint). Minutes later the owner/ manager shows up with remote we were told was not available and she maxes out volume and warns me not to touch tv. Ok i ask her is it not there for customers? Nope, shes the owner and she doesnt care about what customers ask for. Nuff said, we left without a fight for a refund but didnt give them a chance to spit in our chimichanga...highly disappointing customer experience. Vote with your $

Food was ok, and they provide large portions. However as other mentioned the service is terrible. Also, this location has a huge fly problem. After eating about a third of my meal I refilled my water and when I returned to my table I had several flies on my plate. Into the trash it went and I'll never return.

Well its not really a review about the food or anything but I used to work here at this location by the Idaho center until yesterday when I got fired because "I was rude" and who knows what else they are going to say next but the truth is I actually enjoyed being at work I never had a problem with any of my customers I actually had a few customers tell me that they enjoyed me as a cashier and I enjoyed my customers of course :) and I'm going to miss them because I had a lot of regulars well thats all I wanted to say and also good luck to the boss with his business .

The service here is horrible!!! My dining companion and I ordered some food only to find out after we got home that they screwed up our order. We asked for two orders of cheese enchiladas, instead we got chicken and cheese enchiladas. My dining companion called them to tell them that the order was wrong, instead of saying we are sorry for the mess up, let us make this right, she gets hostility. The girl on the phone said that the order was right and that she repeated it back to us. That we didn't know what we were talking about. Which is interesting since the ticket clearly says cheese enchiladas, not chicken. Yet the drive thru lady who said she was the manager just kept up her attitude telling us we had no idea what we were talking about. This was by far the worst service I have ever had. I've spent over fifteen years in customer service and I can't believe a business would allow an employee to speak that way to a customer. Apparently I'm not the only customer who has had bad service at this location. You would think that all Los betos locations would be the same, but there not. Skip this one.

They're liars, the mutha fuker told me they peel there potatoes, and they didn't, and apparently they put pico in all of there burritos. What kind of shit is that.

Very rude service the woman is mentioned in many other reviews and the food is not very good stay clear!

Really good breakfast burrito the size a small child can be found here. Come hungry or bring backup.

I'll preface this by saying this is my first one star review on Yelp. I hate to do it to a place, the guys were nice enough but it's all down hill from there. I walked in the place and it's basically a fast food semi-authentic kinda joint which was what I was after. I ordered one chicken burrito to go, that's it. Nothing unusual. It took over half an hour to get this. Fast food should be five minutes TOPS. 35 is just unacceptable. The place was also pretty filthy. Flies, dirty tables, etc. Honestly the burrito turned out OK, probably a 6 or 7 out of 10 but do yourself a favor and don't go here if your time is at all valuable.

Never fails, everytime I order it's wrong. I even specifically ask if it's the correct burrito before I pull out of the drive thru....This rude lady that works there should not be employed in a job having to deal with people and customer service.. she has ZERO people skills!!!

His is my new favorite Mexican place since they closed my old one. It's in North Nampa so it's kind of far from home. It has really good tacos and good burritos. My favorite is the California. The drive thru is the way to go if you're in a hurry.
(4)Heather S.
I'm giving 4 stars because they cost an arm and a leg but the food is delicious especially the flan mmmm. Best Mexican fast food!
(4)Jacob F.
This is probably my favorite place to get mexican food. The burritos are large and taste great for their size. I ordered a carne asada burrito and they got it to me in about 3 minutes which was very fast. Bit it and it tasted very good exactly like i was eating normal carne asada. out of all the los betos this one seems to be the best when it comes to portions and flavor. i would recommend this to anyone in the area.

Outstanding breakfast burritos! This is a Cali-style burrito place. The tortillas are fresh and larger than a dinner plate. They are stuffed full of freshly cooked and high quality ingredients. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. All ingredients were freshly cooked and were very delicious. This may be the best breakfast burrito I've eaten. Eat your heart out Adalberto's.

I stop here every time I'm driving between Utah and Washington. The food is awesome!
(4)Jerry M.
I was ultimately surprised at how great tasting this place was. Like the others have said, the prices are cheap and the portions are plenty. I had the Machaca, and the tortillas that came with it were HUGE! For a fast food type of place, you will get a great meal here

Ordered their breakfast burrito and it was extremely greasy. The flavors were good but I couldn't enjoy it due to the grease.

The food is good, but I would avoid this location. The service is terrible. The average length of time I've had to wait for food is anywhere between 10-15 minutes. The new location on 3rd in Nampa can get the food out in a fraction of the time. Go there instead.
(2)Kyle Y.
I've been there three times. Once I was served food. The other ones: 1) there was a whole line of people waiting to place their order, and no one was being attended to. 2) Tonight I stopped by and wanted to get some burritos. The counter person was so focused on texting on her cell phone that (even she knew I was there) she continued to do so for approximately 5 minutes. The cook even pointed out that there was someone waiting, and she ignored him and me. This wasn't a teenager, mind you. She was an adult with no concept of customer service. I finally just walked out. No "can I help you" or anything as I left. I assume she was too busy texting. I won't be going back. I can get just as tasty burritos from another place just up the road.

Really, really good Mexican fast food. Two words: California Burrito!
(5)Steven H.
Nothing incredible but it is good. Nice little place to grab some lunch if you want some authentic Mexican. Breakfast burritos are popular

I enjoy the food very much. I prefer this Los Betos. It's very clean and the service is attentive. I won't even go in the one on Caldwell Blvd. I always feel like I am interrupting someone's break when I walk in there to order something. I was very pleasantly surprised the first time I ate at this location. The service is friendly and prompt and the food is good.

Ultimate late-night food fix...cheap, delicious, HUGE! Their chicken is super moist, burritos the size of infants, and in my opinion, the best fish tacos in the valley. Haven't tried the Boise restaurants, but the one on Caldwell Blvd isn't quite as good as the Idaho Center Los Betos. Sometimes a little greasy, but if you're concerned about that, you probably shouldn't be eating mexican food.
(5)Dorothy W.
Don't go here unless you are HUNGRY!!!! I cannot finish a burrito, so hello to lunch the next day. Service is fast and food is hot. Only improvement I would make is to label the sauces on the salsa bar.
