Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This is one of two Mexican restaurants we eat at in the valley. The food is very good. However, the restaurant needs an upgrade. The bar area can be much better than it is and the restroom is comparable to a bar. Please spend the extra money and UPGRADE...

I was greatly disappointed. There were only three tables full, including us, and the service was SLOW! Drinks and chips were not refilled. The food was terrible. I ordered a chicken chimichanga. The chicken was dry and bland. We could hear the waitstaff giggling and talking to each other, but no one ever came to see if we needed anything. I won't go back.

A colleague and I just stopped in for a quick lunch after we discovered the original restaurant of choice was closed for renovation. It was so fast, I don't have a lot to say. The staff was friendly and efficient. The chips they bring out are good and they come with more dipping options than most places- a sort of cabbage pico, refried beans & salsa. I had the tortilla soup which was decent. It had tons of big chunks of chicken in it and everything else comes on the side so you can add at your leisure- onions, cilantro, sour cream & tortilla strips. I'm sad that I seem to never be able to get a pineapple Jarrito but I still enjoyed the mandarin. Too bad I won't be in town on Saturday. They offer a buffet I would be interested in trying.

The service was second to none. I have never had such great service. The server went out of her way to take care of us. Wasn't as cheap as I had hoped, but the food was good, and we will be back for sure.

I recently moved to Boise from San Diego and miss good Mexican food SOOO BADLY. This is the best that we have found so far... great service and super fast. Warm Chips and fresh Salsa are free.

The greatest & friendliest staff ever. Then comes the fresh & tasty dinner and I'm hooked! Will definitely be back! Enjoyed the atmosphere as well!

EXCELLENT service! Killer chips, not greasy, not salty, just really good and crunchy!! Mild salsa, great pinto bean dip! Cute atmosphere! LOVE anything tomatillo..verde pork tomatillo burrito was yummy! Pork was super lean and flavorful!!! Rice & pinto beans all really good! BEST Mexican food in the Treasure Valley we've tried so far!!

We just moved to the area and tried this place out! Awesome service and the table side guac is the best! I love that the staff is always so friendly and happy! We will definitely be back!

I assume if you're reading this, you're traveling. Well, I can't tell you where a better place is, but I can tell you to avoid this place. The service is good, but the food, not so much. The basket of complimentary chips (after the first one it's $2) were very greasy. Cilantro and I aren't friends, so I asked if the tomatillo sauce had Cilantro. She said no, but it did. A lot. So shame on her for that. I scraped off and didn't send it back, because the cheese in my cheese enchiladas wasn't melted. Seriously. It was grated cheese rolled up in tortillas and *not melted*. Just...what? I figured if they cared that little about the food, I was unlikely to get a better second attempt and I should just get out as fast as possible. Yuck.

Food is exceptionally good, and staff is very prompt in their service. The only thing I don't agree with on this place is the $2 additional charge for more chips, should you so desire them. We have never needed them, but if I was here working with the 'boys', we'd surely go broke in the chip fee.

Food is pretty good, and much better than the photos in the menu make it look. When will restaurants learn that photos in a menu is a bad idea? Very friendly service and good sized portions. They have several different locations around the area. Check it out.

How hard is it to make a good taco salad? I make them at home all the time which is where we should have eaten lunch. Bagged, shredded lettuce in a flour tortilla that tasted like it was fried days before with shredded, boiled, tasteless chicken, a glob of sour cream and guacamole does not a taco salad make. Poor service and the waiter snapped at me when I voiced my disappointment in our meal. Not a nice experience.

Service is good but the quality of the food is poor. This is definitely a restaurant for a person who is not used to authentic Mexican food. I should have went to eat at my mother in laws.

The service here is unmatched. The food may not be truly authentic, but authentic Mexican means very little when most people order burritos. Best Mexican food I've had in the treasure valley so far and even if it wasn't, the service would bring me back.
