It's a real winery but you wont find the vineyard out back. They make all the wines there in the back (make sure to sweet talk the owner Jeremy into a tour) and they bottle, label and ship from there. Huge selection of wines across the board and flights are the best way to get a taste of them all! Plus, if you like Mead- then you found your new home. Wine not your thing- then turn to the huge selection of beer and let them open it for you and enjoy it with a cold glass on the patio! Don't forget to order the cheese plate, because its Cougar Gold Cheese from WSU (just across the state line-also local) and you wont regret it. Bring the kiddos in! Totally fine for them to hang out in there.

Stopped in while visiting Moscow and had a great time! We sampled a bunch of wine for super cheap, chatted with the owner for a while, I could bring my kid in with me (can't do that in Utah!), got some tasty wine AND interesting beer to take home with me. I LOVED the spiced wine and brought some home to have at Thanksgiving. Also, get the banana bread beer.. holy cow that is good beer!

We love Camas Prairie Winery! We just moved to California and will be having a case sent down soon! Their spiced wine is a hit in our family for the holidays!

I was just searching to see if Camas Prairie Winery had a Yelp page yet and I'm shocked that only two people have posted! Fantastic wines and I'm not much of a wine drinker so that says something. Whoever does the hiring does a great job because the staff has always been super friendly and knowledgable. Which is good, because like I said, I'm not much of a wine drinker. One piece of advice- Try the "Palouse Gold Mead". It's a great honey mead, best I've ever had. I pick up a couple bottles every time I'm in town.

Super wines & mead. In Moscow, ID? Vintner is a magician.

Yes this is a winery. No, there is no vineyard in sight. It's a storefront - and I asked about the vineyard, and whatever answer they gave me I accepted, because of two things... First, their array of wines and drinks is just immensely interesting. They arrange them (and this may be common, but here it was more stark because of the small space and the fabulous attentions of the staff) on a spectrum of least to most dry. So basically you start with the honey mead - mead!! - and end with... I can't remember, either a Chardonnay or if in the reds perhaps a really heavy red. For about $6 you can taste three, and they really spend time with you in choosing based on what you might be interested in or perhaps just on finding an interesting range. They made it fun. I'm not a wine expert, but that night in the high desert Summer we were making spicy curry, and he gave us a nice Gewrztraminer which accompanied it perfectly. Second, it turned out the proprietor, extremely chatty, went to the same urban university I did - a Gator in Moscow Idaho! Look him up.
