I'm not much of teriyaki fan but this is an excellent new place. Good food, good service at a price just right!

Great teriyaki chicken, spicy teriyaki chicken, and teriyaki beef. Fried rice is good, not great, but an excellent value for a full plate and quick meal

Finally real terriyaki in the Treasure Valley!! I visited Happy Teriyaki for the first time last Saturday and am so glad that I did. I moved here from Seattle and have been looking for a place that serves what I call "Seattle style teriyaki". I have found it at Happy Teriyaki! I ordered the spicy beef teriyaki for the whole family and everyone absolutely loved it. The portions are huge and most importantly the flavor and consistency of the meet is perfect. My family and I will definitely be regulars here. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners and you can tell they put their passion for good food into their menu selection. Thank you.

The food and the price are fantastic! I'm so happy we came here today. The employees (owners?) Where so sweet and friendly. I would reccomend this place to everyone. Thank you guys so much!

Best teriyaki ever. Portions are big and the price is cheap. Every time I come to meridian I make sure to stop there for my teriyaki fix.

I had the beef teriyaki meal. It comes with the usual beef, rice, and steamed veggies. Meat was very tender.

Best teriyaki in the area! The owners are hard working and very nice to every customer.

So I decided to update my review. I love this place. Super consistent with excellent bows and plates. My favorite is the spicy chicken bowl or dinner plate. Not too spicy but then again, I like spicy food. Wait staff is always friendly and prompt.

The food is not great, but not terrible. What was disappointing to me was that the menu is kind of tricky. It says bowl- $5.95, and then the two flavors of pork and beef are listed. Well if you look closely, those flavors are an extra dollar, and the chicken bowl (not actually listed on the menu) is the one for the $5.95 price. I know I just read it wrong, but it seemed a little tricky. It's also built to be counter-order, but unless you're ordering to go then they have you sit down, which takes longer and you have to tip. Not a big problem, but we were looking for something faster when we visited. The boba drink was delicious!

Although this place is set up as an order at the register then sit down, I was pleasantly surprised when I was politely asked to have a seat and my server would be right with me. The service was super fast and friendly. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate with gyoza. The chicken was good as was the steamed cabbage. The gyoza was just average. The gyoza filling was bland and appeared to be a chicken and rice mixture--most likely pre-frozen. I will come back for the chicken but will pass on the gyoza. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, quick meal, look no further.

I was actually very disappointed with this place. I was told that this location was better than Nampa's (which I haven't tried). Lets start with the service. With a name like HAPPY Teriyaki, the guy at the counter sure wasn't at all happy to be there. Literally drops the check on the table and runs, then picks it back up and doesn't even stop. Doesn't smile or talk at all. It was just really awkward. There was a girl working in the front with him who was sweet and she was working hard the entire time. I think the food was a little pricy. The teriyaki chicken was good, not great. That's okay though. The rice was.....interesting. Haven't really had this kind that I can remember. I probably will only come back for the bubble tea.

Good stuff for a great price I eat here about 3 times a month. The best value is with the daily bowls. They have beef and chicken for 6 bucks and Pork and spicy chicken for 7. I just had orange chicken and just like the bowls the chicken is soft and juicy unlike the bowls the Orange chicken is coated in batter that is light and crunchy. I am told they make their own sauce and you can see the Orange peel in it. The chicken is also hand battered in house which scored them extra points in my book I'm not a fan of frozen food from a bag like you often see these days. The food is not drop dead delicious but it is above average fresh well priced and the place is always clean with a friendly staff

Love this new teriyaki place. Service was excellent and their menu has a lot of options. I tried their chicken teriyaki which included a big portion of teriyaki chicken, two scoops of rice and some steamed vegetables. My only disappointment was the steamed vegetables. There was one tiny piece of broccoli and a few pieces of shaved carrots. The rest was all cabbage, which I wasn't crazy about. My husband had the chicken/beef teriyaki combo. He liked both but preferred the chicken in the dish. He also upgraded to the fried rice and said it was just okay. We will be back. It's sad that there are so few teriyaki places in this area, but I'm happy we've found this place.

This place has wonderful food. Teriyaki chicken and beef served with steamed veggies and steamed rice: a classic combo that they do well. They even have a spicy variety. Service was great and the cashier/server was very enthusiastic and friendly. Prices are acceptable and the restaurant itself was clean and pleasant. If you want a quick and quality teriyaki bowl and you are in the area don't shy away from this place.

Great food at family friendly prices. They also have boba teas. Try the spicy chicken teriyaki. Don't let the name fool you its not that hot.

I really like their food, especially the Yaki udon with chicken. Their fried rice is okay but not great, needs more flavor. Their prices are decent. Their Thai tea bubble tea is different then I've had it before, it's frozen like a slushy instead of iced. Overall great place, nice people, and some good food.

My husband and I are never disappointed in the food here! The service is excellent and the teriyaki is amazing. We will come here again and again.

Food was okay. The customer service was terrible. I went in with my son and a friend and the employees didn't seem very friendly. We asked if there was any way we could substitute the veggies for something else and the employee said we could for fried rice and charged us a dollar for it? We had no idea until they bring us the check. Would've been nice to know. I guess the employee thought differnt. I got a bubble tea as well and wasn't very pleased either. The bubbles were disgusting they were not flavorful like the other bubbles I've tried from another restaurant. They also charge for more than one flavor? That's bull. Definitely going to stick to my usual and favorite teriyaki place.

My overall experience has improved since my initial review. The amount of meat I've been given has increased to the point where one meal would likely satiate two people or give you enough leftovers to make another meal out of it. So the value has increased. I tried the spicy chicken that was recommended to me and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. My desire to see a Korean spin on things came through as there was a definite element of gochujang (a vital condiment of Korean cuisine) to the spicy sauce. I asked about it and it was confirmed. Is it the same sauce they use to make your meat "hot and spicy" for 50 cents extra? While I'd certainly say it's spicy, it's not hot at all (mild for people who like heat, moderate for heatphobes). But it has some of that sweet/sour fermented funkiness that gochujang brings. While I still bemoan the generic offerings and would never touch their gyoza again, I feel they've earned a bump-up from 3 to 4 stars.

Love this place! The staff are friendly and treat you like family, the food is delicious, hot, fresh, and decent portions. My favorite is to get the chicken teriyaki bowl with breast meat and fried rice. We also love the egg rolls and bubble tea with tapioca in it! My mom, daughter and I can eat here for under $20 and we love it!!

Had a great time trying Happy Teriyaki today. We sampled the gyoza, tempura prawns, spicy chicken Teriyaki, fried rice, beef yakisoba and teriyaki prawns. We also sampled three bubble teas, strawberry, peach and coffee. We also had a ton of food to take home and all of us left stuffed! The spicy chicken and gyoza were the table favorites. The teas were fun but very very sweet. Strawberry with rainbow jellies was the favorite. The service was amazing and attentive. We live miles away an we most definitely will come back. Fun experience, great service and food.

Place is small, service is friendly, and the menu is simple in a good way. The chicken teriyaki was pretty basic and good. The Yaki Udon with shrimp was tasty with thick tube noodles. What I'm most excited for is the bubble teas. Unfortuantely, they were out of green tea bubble tea, so I went with the vietnamese tea bubble tea which was a bit sweeter, but nice. Happy Teriyaki seems like a good place for lunch moreso than dinner. I definitely want to come back for more bubble tea and to try the one with the jellies in it.

Food is delicious. I ordered beef teriyaki and chicken katsu, and 2 drinks; mango with rainbow jelly and taro with rainbow jelly. The owners or people who work there are friendly. Now we don't have to drive to Boise for Boba anymore.
