I went here based on the reviews and I really don't know what these people were excited about. I had a chicken sandwich with onions and basil which sounded delicious but tasted , to be nice, not good. The chicken tasted like a rubbery, water logged bagged meat. My husband had the chicken parmesan sandwich that had the same rubber chicken and horrible tasting red sauce. He ate half of it. The rosemary fries were soggy and had no rosemary flavor. Over all a very disappointing meal. Both combo sandwiches were $22. I don't recommend.

Service is awesome sometimes I bump up points just based on service but the food was equally amazing as service. I got the god father which was AMAZING and the fries are delicious as well. Two weeks later and im craving another sandwhich!

Took our out of town guests. Food and service was terrible. It seemed to have been homecoming night for area high schools so the entire restaurant area was swamped. Cacicias had only two employees working and were struggling to keep up. Employees said they had been trying to call the owner but no response. Owner should have known this Saturday night was going to be busy. The village had posted signs advising of overflow parking. Our wait was over an hour for our food. Employees wanted to comp our meal but didn't feel they had the authority. Too bad. Not returning.

Liked this place first time I tried it, few months ago. Used to get their rosemary fries and the appetizer bruschetta. Last couple of times though it's completely changed. So so dirty inside and the employees look pretty dirty themselves. Last night especially, went with my husband and got the above and he was up at 2am puking. Flies all over the restaurant. Their fries were so soggy we couldn't even eat them and the bruschetta didn't even taste like bruschetta. Those tomatoes must have been chopped last Tuesday! Gross! They just need to get their stuff together or pack up and leave and allow another restaurant a chance. Will never go back again.

Mom is new to the area and hadn't been to The Village yet, so we stopped here for lunch today. Wonderful location with a great view of the fire pit and fountains which reminded my mom of Bellagio in Vegas. Service was very friendly and food brought out quickly. I had the honey onion chicken sandwich, Mom had the Sicilian tuna melt. Both were incredibly flavorful. The ciabatta bread for my chicken sandwich was lightly toasted in places, so it had a delightful crunch every now and then. Mom's tuna melt was on decadently oiled/grilled sourdough. The fries have the skin on (yay!) and an awesome rosemary seasoning. They aren't the crisp kind, but quite good. Word of warning-- be prepared to get a little messy. We were joking that we should have brought towels with us! Seriously, we went through a lot of napkins as these sandwiches were falling apart/dripping down our hands. You need a knife and fork eventually. But that's a sign of something that tastes incredible, even if it's very bad for you. And believe me, you will want to suspend the diet. Don't eat here if you're looking for "healthy". I would say that maybe the salads would be a better choice for someone watching calories a bit, but a "pork smashed patty" on top of the Alberto Insalata? Well, THAT just blew it! lol That said, I will go back to at least try the Providensa Bruschetta next time which looks amazing.

Just had an amazing dinner with the family here - I always LOVE the atmosphere at the Village @ Meridian. Cacicias had wonderful service and amazing food that is not lacking in flavor we had a couple Godfather's and a basil burger, toasted ravioli and fries with a side of Alfredo sauce to dip the fries in :) our stomachs are happy campers

Spaghetti and Meatballs was not good. Sauce tasted burnt. Meatballs were okay. Portion size was nice. Atmosphere was great. The sauce just didn't taste good.

One word: Phenomenal. Seriously, everything they make is filled with amazing flavor and fresh. Let me break it down, how many times have you been stoked about a side salad? The entire menu is just what Boise needs. It's different and amazing. Imagine gourmet Italian mixed with burgers, grilled cheese, salad, and more. We were very impressed and will be back!

Overpriced and just blah...I regretted purchasing that living social. We had three dishes and didn't finish any of them.

Delicious fresh pasta! This place was a pleasant surprise with its flavorful menu options and friendly staff. The side of rosemary fries were too good. I will definitely be going back! Spread the word about this place!

Came here on a friend's recommendation. Ordered the basil bruschetta burger on the same recommendation. What a mistake. The combo "deal" they offered brought a $9 dollar burger to $12 bucks, with a side of greasy pasta noodles. Pasta is easily the most overpriced food. The burger itself was large, but stuffed in a gigantic ciabatta bun. It took me a lot of bun bites to actually get to the burger, which was drenched in balsamic vinegar. Here is where you can find the mark of a sandwich maker that knows what they're doing or don't. Competent sandwich makers don't drown their sandwiches, because liquids eat the bread. So, I ditched the ciabatta, and went for the burger itself. Crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle, like they flash fried it. One of the worst burgers I've had, and that price doesn't help it at all. Like every other restaurant in the Meridian Village, overpriced garbage, and you're just better off wallet and portion size grabbing a burger at any of the other great local places in Boise / Meridian. Also, I don't much care for the "hipster" ambiance of these types of places. Wow, you're so cool playing hip hop from the early 90's from a tinny little stereo by the cook. High ceilings, noisy place, my friends and I practically had to yell to be heard in an empty joint.

Some guidance for reference. If the best dining experience is 5 stars and a typical fast food experience like McDonalds or Jack in the Box is 2 stars than this establishment is one star. We tried the Godfather-1star. The Sarah-1 star. The list of ingredients should have worked but either very poor execution (grease) or poor quality ingredients allowed failure to dominate. The side of pasta-1 star (when you cook pasta remember it must be salted). A side salad-2 stars, the only item equivalent even to McDonalds. Yelp reviewers continue to disappoint, not just in Boise, everywhere. Walk around the fountain area, go to the food establishment that has customers. That should have been our first clue as no one was here at 2:15 on a Sunday afternoon but all the other restaurants around the fountain area had customers. My final attempt at following false positive Yelp reviews.

I had the twisted caprese sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! Service was great as well! My girlfriend and I will definitely be coming back to try more food.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
