High Blood Pressure at Applebee's
Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.
Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure
Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. Avoid ordering foods that contain over 1000mg sodium at Applebee's, especially if you're dining alone.

High Cholesterol at Applebee's
Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.
Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Cholesterol
If you have high cholesterol, then you must avoid eating sandwiches, wraps, and tacos at Applebee's. While the salads and soups sound healthy, you must skip the Fiesta Chopped Salad and Loaded Potato Soup at Applebee's. About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. Although the trademark dish Riblets is a hot favorite among regular Applebee's dwellers, the restaurant also serves some amazing burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salads.

Nice place to grab a burger and beer or wine Very pleasant and friendly waitress Would be a great place to watch sports. Lots of tv's. Burger was super good. Onion rings average. Within walking distance of Mariott suites. They also have tables outside.

Don't waste your time looking around Meridian ID for a spot. Beef Obradys is the best. Great food, great drinks, and great service.

I travel a lot for work so I love to order delivery from here (through Cafe Courier) after I get home. They have never once gotten my order wrong and the food is always good. Great burgers and I recommend the pub chips!

A sports bar, in my opinion- can go one of two ways. It's either all hype and no good, or it's lower key but a home run. I found Beef O'Brady's to be of the latter! Spacious and level (important if anyone you love has a mobility challenge) and despite dark floors and hardwoods- surprisingly bright and airy. I visited with my friend and her two sons, one teen, one pre-teen. We were seated near a window. The menu has many choices.. which again can be a red flag- I mean if they have SO MUCH on the menu, how much of it can be TRULY good? It took us some time to decide what we wanted- but we have beverages in the mean time, brought in a timely manner by our server. We wound up with 3 sandwiches and an appetizer platter. When our food was brought out our first glance seemed disappointing.. there were so few french fries on the plate- but as we dug in we realized two things- the sandwiches were good sized and loaded.. AND the fries.. were AMAZING. The youngest in our group had the appetizer platter 'Land, Sea and Air' listed as: "3 fresh Angus cheeseburger sliders*, 8 tail-on fried shrimp, crunchy boneless breaded chicken pieces and fries. Served with honey mustard and cocktail sauce." All of the items were on the plate. The sliders, which were on pretzel buns were a big hit. The shrimp and chicken unfortunately were over cooked, and the shrimp (as verified by the taster of both adults at the table) was decidedly fishy. I went with the "Roast Beef Garlic Melt"-roast beef, sliced onions and provolone cheese served hot and pressed on garlic Cuban bread. The flavors all melded together perfectly for my palate, and it was served up with some au jus. The teen and his mother both chose the "Buffalo Chicken Sandwich"- hand-breaded chicken breast fried to perfection then tossed in Beef's® Signature Buffalo sauce, served on a toasted brioche bun with pickles and ranch dressing. Both of them proclaimed it tasty. True to the nature of a sports bar, the decor and number of flat televisions fit the bill. They appear to have a good number of beers on tap. I'd like to go back for happy hour sometime, and again for lunch. I owe my friend Nancy a thank you for suggesting we visit Beef O'Brady's!

First thing first. If you type the address into a gps make sure you pick the meridian address not eagle. Lol. Makes for a long drive. It's a nice establishment sports bar/restaurant we are on the hunt for the best wings in the area. (This place isn't it) they have good wings. The meat is good the skin a little crisp. We tried the medium and plan to go back to try the hot. I also had the bbq burger which was as good as any other restaurant. The staff is friendly and the service was quick and they were on the ball when it came to beverages. The restaurant is good definitely worth a try. But I am still on the look out for the best wings. (And don't say Buffalo Wild Wings cause that's not true (disgusting))

We stopped in for lunch today and had a large group (14 of us). Our waitress was wonderful and very helpful. Food was perfect and the dessert was delicious! Wonderful atmosphere!
(5)Dede S.
Grilled chicken salad was supposed to be salad with grilled chicken and sautéed mushrooms. Think I got 3 slices of small mushrooms and chicken was as thin sliced add the lettuce. I love this place, it is our neighborhood bar and this salad should have had mushrooms and good pieces of chicken. Very, very small amount! Sad!!
(3)Stacy S.
We stopped in last night about an hour before close. We had two burgers with fries. The burgers were ok, not the best I've ever had but certainly not the worst either. The server was very friendly, but she didn't stop by again until we'd finished the burgers. Ketchup needed refilling so we just snagged one from the next table. Then we ordered molten lava cake. It was very rich and chocolatey. Took a while to get our check, but again, the server was very friendly and sweet. They have a LOT of televisions, so if you want to watch sports, this is a great place. They were open fairly late, so we'd probably go again. Prices were fair.

We've been here several times in the last 9 mths for lunch. The wait staff is super friendly and efficient! We love the burger! My favorite is the pork chop with an extra serving of grilled veggies. I find many places here are a bit heavy handed with the salt and sauces, but not the case here! Just a yummy healthy option!
(5)Ray H.
I can't comment on the entire menu but the hot wings here are as good as I've had ( tied with the Firehouse Pub in Meridian). I love the traditional wings with the blackened rub and sauce on the side. They also have a decent Happy Hour. FYI they have 60 cent wings every Wednesday. When it comes to your wings please do not change a thing!!
(5)Sam H.
Depressing. Tired. Happy hour is coors light pints... :| Seriously? And no HH food? WTH???? Surprisingly busy though. Not sure what people see in this place. Maybe cuz it's close to home?
(2)Dave W.
I was hungry, so anything would have probably tasted good. However, I'm usually very picky, but was pleasantly surprised. My chicken strips were delicious, and the waitress was attentive but not intrusively so. A friend and I had a coupon for $5 off $25 or more in food. We had separate checks and were allowed to each have $2.50 off our order. I appreciated the server making this easy for us. (common sense prevails, yay !) Other than this restaurant being out in "Meridifornia" as I call it (traffic anywhere in Meridian, but especially around Eagle Road is a nightmare reminiscent of California, and I'd rather dine closer to downtown Boise), this may be my new go-to place. Nicely done.

Visiting from Denver they have never heard of Pinot noir ! Server young holy who said 3 times it was late and to order only fried foods. Why give us menus ? Food horrible tortilla chips soggy skip it
(1)Jack M.
Stayed at the hotel beside here. I have eaten at beefs before since I am an east coaster so I know what to expect. They have on of the best grilled chicken salads I have ever eaten. I had their Italian dressing which is also very good. 3 stars for the food. 0 stars for the service. Unfriendly staff, unorganized, and long wait to get my food. Even longer wait to get a refill on my drink and the check. I am convinced I was forgotten about. I are here 3 times this week because of convenience and after the first 2 experiences in house I took the last meal back to the room.
(3)Barry J.
Great food and service. The kids love it. We are having wings, fish and chips, stake nochos.
(5)Travis E.
Great service had a group of 30 and we came in unexpected. Server was amazing and we all thought the food was great. Great sports bar. Not sure why the others have negative feedback. We all had a great time Christy did awesome.
(5)Darrin P.
We've been here for 45 minutes and had 1 drink and it's been empty for 30 minutes no food yet. And our waitress is not very friendly.
(1)Steve M.
Welcome to "Hands Across Generica". This little mall experience is just another chain beer/wing place with wall to wall televisions. There is nothing bad nor nothing remarkable about this place. The staff is friendly and the beer is cold.
(3)Ed A.
Met some friends there after work. Were ignored by server for about 1/2 hour (finally accosted one). Ordered the much touted wings. Overcooked, dried out and stringy. Pitchers of domestic beer throughout the Treasure Valley run $7- 8 (and less during happy hours). I order two pitchers of Bud Light assuming their prices were in line with everyone else. When bill came, I was charged $12.25 each. That is insane for a pitcher of domestic BudWater. Will not be returning.
(2)Fred O.
Went there 2 weeks ago about 6:30 pm on a Friday the place was about half full there was a nice crowd at the bar watching the NCAA BASKETBALL Tournament sat down fairly quickly got a menu ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich was not very flavorful got a side of Cole slaw which it was not very good CFC Cole slaw has more flavor our waitress which I asked for ketchup waited 15 minutes never brought so I had to grab it myself she say me never said sorry, horrible customer service food is just below average bar food, portions are also very small go to chili's instead, would only go to this place to watch a game at the bar that's what happens in big chain restaurants well not go back.

The main reason we went to Beef O'Bradys is because we received a coupon in the mail. If it had not been for that, I am not sure we would have risked it. Why risk you say? Well, if you are a fan of Sports Grills, you might like it here. As for me, I am not a fan of Sports Grills. I have been to several of them and everyone has let me down. Sports Grills usually have food that is greasy and have little to no flavor. The reason for this is pretty simple. Sports Grills usually hire very young under trained people that make minimum wage or less. As a result, their cooking skills are very poor to non-existent. The emphasis on sports grill, at least here in Boise, is on..........you guessed it, watching sports on their many TV's. When I walked in Beef O-Bradys, I was met, not by a hostess, but by a music machine of some sort. I have never seen a music machine like this before. It was a modern day juke box. Beef O'Bradys is what I call a Frankenstein Restaurant. It looked it may have once been alive, but has long since died. The owners attempted to bring it back to life, but did a very poor job, and it looks like it might keel over at any moment. The restaurant is split right down the middle. Half of it is a bar, and the other half is the restaurant. Neither lives up to its potential. The bar areas is extremely noisy. Its not really because the patrons are that out of control. The excessive noise is caused by no carpet on the floor, or anything else that can absorb sound. The other problem is a very short half wall that does absolutely nothing to block out the noise from the bar area. The restaurant area, like so many Sports Bars, suffers from an identity crises. It looks more like a bar area that was converted into a failed attempt at a restaurant. In spite of all this, we set down to dinner. Our waitress seemed nice enough. We started with our drink order. I ordered a non-alcoholic Pina Colada. On a side note, I was very excited that they offered some non-alcoholic drink choices. In Dallas, there was once a restaurant called Noahs Ark. They had a huge selection of Mock-tails. I miss this a lot. My wife ordered a Ginger Ale. Our waitress got not just 1 of our drinks wrong, she got them both wrong! And that was with her writing the order down! I was brought out a Margarita, which was horrible tasting. The best description of the taste that I can come up with is this. Go to your local grocery store and buy a dry in-the-envelope Margarita mix.Cut open the envelope and pour the contents directly into your mouth. My wife was brought out a root beer. The waitress apologized and went to get the correct drinks. She soon appeared with my wifes Ginger ale. She told me that they had run out of Pina Colada mix. Huh....a mix??? It seemed that one here knew how to make a real Pina Colada that was not from a mix!!! Well, this was a very bad sign, but we decided to grin and bear it. Beside, we were both very hungry. My wife had a buffalo chicken wrap. I had the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. My daughter had her usual....Chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were actually grease non-tenders. The wrap was...well...not good at all. I will leave it at that. The bacon burger was actually not bad. It was one of the better burgers I have had of the Sports Bars that I have been to. But in comparison to an actual restaurant, I would give it a 4 out of 10 stars The best part of it was the bacon. The bacon was crisp and smoky tasting. But the bacon was the only thing that gave the burger any flavor. The meat was dry and over-cooked. After I left, I could feel the grease from the bacon coat my mouth. The bottom line for this place is that it is in desperate need for a make-over. Both the food, the decor, and Frankenstein itself.
(1)Darik W.
Great finger steaks, very friendly staff and enjoy the coke machine having so many flavors. The atmosphere is inviting and with so many TV's there is not a bad seat anywhere.
(4)Grant C.
Typical bar food. Prices are pretty good.. Wait staff was friendly.
(3)Matt S.
Went last night with a party of 3 adults and 4 kids...menu was traditional sports bar food. The burger was good, beer was cold and a good atmosphere. I've never heard of this chain before, but it looks like there are a ton of them and I had a good experience there ahead of their grand opening which is at some point in the future.
(4)Thomas D.
Loved this place. I think it's gona be my regular spot. Food was super. Staff were gr8. Plenty of tv's so u won't miss any action. Can't wait to go back. The dubliner dinner was fantastic.
(5)David L.
Good pizza. Compare to pizza hut. The sandwich wraps were very tasty. Friendly young staff.
(3)Paul A.
Maybe we hit it on a bad night but the food was horrible, drinks we're alright! Won't go and eat there again.
