Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This review is specifically to give a shout out to the manager. Yesterday I ran into grab a couple of burritos to go. Apparently I set my purse down while I went to the salsa bar and forgot to grab it on my way out the door with my burritos. By the time I realized my purse was missing and searched high and low for it the restaurant had closed. I called this morning at 9am (they don't open until 10:30am) and spoke with the manager who confirmed that I did leave the described bag in the restaurant. I was told that he had it held safely in the office and he had not gone through it yesterday because he was waiting for me to come back. When I went to pick up my purse today he also verified that I was in fact the proper owner (picture ID in purse) before allowing me to take it. I am grateful that they take these steps for security purposes and I am even more grateful to have my purse bag with nothing missing. Thank you thank you! BTW... The burritos were delicious (as always)! I even got one free with my stamp card :)

I'll be honest I'm surprised at so many positive reviews yet lower end scores. I usually am stingy on giving out 5 star ratings, but I believe that this Baja fresh deserves it. The food prices are very decent. Don't expect to break the wallet ordering for a family, although enchaldo style can be a bit pricey. The drink selection is better than what you would get at most chain locations with a wide variety; given this, I still only order Soda or water. The refillable drink cups are good value even at home. The staff is kind and have been working here for awhile. Just quality customer service. Major plus. They still do punch cards! Any location that does this I can get behind! Support this business because I think you'll enjoy the experience.

Excellent little chain restaurant, on par with a handful of other good chains and serves solid, dependably edible food. We generally get the tacos, of which I recommend steak. They have a salsa bar that has some very good choices, I recommend the pineapple one. Very fresh and a pretty good variety. The kitchen is clean and you have an expanded drink selection. The bowls are fine but I don't think the shrimp is worth the extra cost.

It is a chain so normally there isn't much to be expected but with that being said the food is really fresh. They have great help that is very informative and knowledgeable about their menu. Great job!

I was craving a shrimp or lobster burrito. I made the mistake of going to Baja Fresh. Three people, 29 dollars later and a goopy black cup of salsa later was enough for me. The burrito was ok. No flavor. The part that gets me is that is there sooooo much potential for a little garlic, salt and pepper, but you won't find any one brave enough to cook with those seasonings. The goopy salsa was the worst. My wife thought that it was black beans. Nope. Gross, nasty and not spicy. Place was packed with middle to upper class folks who don't know any better. They need to change the name to Bland Fresh.

Great food at a decent price. Mexican beer and a two taco meal was a 11 bucks. Floors need to be kept cleaner though.

One of our favorite go-to restaurants! The staff can be really friendly and sometimes not so much. Guess it depends on their mood for the day. BUT - the food is great! The salsa bar - super yummy! We choose this place over most of the other similar concepts because they let us get salsa. The ones who are a bit stingy on the salsa are not our 1st choice. SO - thanks Baja for being generous in letting us enjoy your delicious salsa! See you again soon!

Exceptional fresh Mexican food, I especially love the burritos and salads, this is one of my favorite lunch and dinner restaurants. My five year old daughter also loves the food there which is a big bonus because she mostly only wants chicken and fries. The service is fast, friendly, and very attentive. Food is fast, hot and fresh. You definitely won't leave hungry either, the portions are large. I really love the consistency of my experience too, I've eaten at all the Baja Fresh restaurants in the Treasure Valley and each time my experience has been superb. Great place for lunch, dinner, or office lunches.

Food is okay. Place is clean. Prices a bit high. I've had much better elsewhere. If someone else is paying, I might go back, otherwise, too many other options in town.

Really like this place. The food tastes fresh and is very delicious. Good assortment of lots of tasty fresh mex food. The order takers are always friendly and cheerful. They barely speak english but get the job done well enough to allow me to order burritos or shrimp tacos. Love to eat there at least once a month.
