India is the birth place of Chicken Tikka Masala and Curries. Indian foods are prepared with a blend of finely mixed spices quite popular across the region. The spices develop the rich taste in Indian food enough to boggle your mind. The ever-increasing fan base of Indian food around the New York city is steadily increasing because of the large number of Indians who traveled to the land of dreams. The Indians also brought their very own vibrant, colorful, and aromatic authentic dishes for the people in the West. While most of the Indian population is Vegetarian, Indian food is great for people who are looking for vegan or vegetarian food option. If you are a Meat lover, don't get disappointed yet. Indian food also boasts of some popular non-vegetarian dishes too. Few examples are the famous Butter Chicken, Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Chicken are enough to satisfy your taste buds.

I'm not an adventurous eater but WOW! This Restaurant had the most beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. The owner/ chef welcomed us & was delightful. He made great recommendations that we would both love! I had the mango chicken and my husband had a lamb dish. They were both delicious. The naan bread was to die for, made fresh and hot! Extra mile service & A great date! So glad we went.

Worst restaurant I have ever been to. By far. Where do I start? It's so hard to decide because everything was awful. Chintzy decor, confused menus, mismatched glasses, room temperature water, slow service, and the list goes on. The worst part is, the four of us were planning to pay separately, but then he tells us he doesn't take cards, just cash or check. !!!!! WHAT?! So we are all sitting there like "how are we going to pay for our food?" And the guy says there is an atm down the street. Well isn't that priceless? You want me to pay an atm fee on top of the $17 I've spent on the worst Indian food I've ever had. Great. So my friend gets out her checkbook and he looks it over like she is some kind of criminal and asks could she put her phone number and drivers license number on it. I have a suggestion: join the 21st century and get a credit card machine! Then you wouldn't have this awkward problem. To top it all off, 3 out of the four of us were feeling queasy after the food. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Why isn't that an option? Also, very disappointed in the food. Ordered lamb tiki masala which wasn't on the menu but is my favorite Indian dish. Also ordered garlic naan. The naan this guy brought out was...hard to describe. Thick and crusty, with some soft stuff on the inside. I asked him if it was naan because it was unlike any I had ever had. He said it was made fresh there and it was his version of naan. Well, sorry to say, you failed. On every level possible. And the lamb tiki masala? It looked and tasted wrong. I don't know what he brought me but that was not lamb tiki masala. Wish I had a do-over on this one. Hope I won't be regretting it any more tonight. :/

I've actually made the mistake of eating here TWICE because apparently I'm that stupid. The reviewers who are giving high marks are either fake or they have no idea what either Indian or Thai food actually tastes like. My husband and I have both lived in, or traveled extensively to, South Asia and Southeast Asia, and I promise you--promise--that this is nothing remotely close to legit food. The owner is the sole worker there as best we can tell, and he takes your order and goes off in the back to see what left-overs he's got in the fridge. He throws together whatever he's got and calls it a melange of some sort, assures us in that unctuous way (admittedly, true to form when you're actually in SE Asia . . . .) that this is the BEST, just for YOU my friends, SPECIALLY MADE. How can you feel like anything but a queen? And yet, the naan (how can you screw up naan???) is THICK and CRUSTY--on what planet is that naan? And its flavor is more like stale western sandwich bread with garlic salt sprinkled on it. I am unaccustomed to having random, unidentifiable bone-in animal parts floating around in gray, greasy liquids (along with what appear to be canned peas . . . because, sure, THAT'S common in India) and calling it, say, tandoori (supposedly clay-oven-baked meat with a spice rub), or, say, biryani (long-grain, saffron-infused Indian rice dishes). But boy, that doesn't stop him. There is nothing on the menu that is actually available, he can and does take up to an hour and a half to "cook," while you sit out front in the empty restaurant and wonder what's going on, and the slop he puts in front of you isn't edible. He then guess-timates the bill, which he may or may not hand-write out for you, and asks for cash. Even better are the threatening replies he gives to some of his Trip Advisor reviews, but even BETTER is the following link, showing the attempts the city of Lewiston has made to shut him down, mostly due to things like rodent and insect infestation, and the threats he has made against the entire legal system: gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCOUR… I say this at risk of being sued by him: He's nuts. Either that or he's in deep witness protection from the Mob, because I can't figure out how the place stays in business, even being the sole employee. Read and enjoy.

I was so happy to find this place on my way through Lewiston. The owner was gracious, the meal satisfying, and the portions generous. Don't miss the mango lassi.

Horrible food. Uncomfortable atmosphere. Avoid at all costs. None of the food on the menu is available. The owner/cook/server throws together random ingredients and calls it a hybrid version of what you ordered. It was just terrible.

Hard to find, not very majestic, but man is the food and the attention wonderful!! Three of us ate dinner, plus appetizers (including two that were provided for us to "try" and the entire bill came out to $48! Such a waste that is the middle of Lewiston, Idaho, as the food might not be as appreciated as in a larger diversified location.

My parents, husband and I were spending the night in Lewiston and looking for some place within walking distance of our hotel. I found this place on Yelp and we decided to give it a try. Walking up to it we weren't sure it was open but when we walked in we were greeted right away. It was about 5 p.m. on Friday so my husband was a little skeptical of the place since we were the only people in there. We were delighted with the food! The waiter/host (owner?) was so much fun. He gave us the two menus, one for Indian choices and the other for Thai. So many choices! We were having a hard time deciding what to order. Our waiter offered several suggestions and asked what level of spiciness we wanted my Dad doesn't like spicy at all and I like it mild. My husband and Mom like spicy. Our waiter provided us with a nice balance, serving us family style so we could try a little bit of everything. The mango chicken was Dad's favorite as it wasn't spicy. We had a couple other chicken dishes that were spicier but they were very good. We started with a delightful soup of vegetables with coconut and curry. An added bonus was the choice of white or brown rice. We were offered Naan bread but had to pass due to wheat allergies. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely try it again if we are ever through Lewiston again.

Traveled to Lewiston for work and was hoping desperately for an alternative to a burger and fries for dinner. Based on existing reviews I tried this place. I was very pleased that I did. First, there are two menus, Indian and Thai, plus there were about 15 off-menu specialties suggested by my server, the owner. Despite his strong suggestion that I try the mango chicken "sweet with a hint of spice" I was dying for lamb. I went with a suggested off-menu lamb curry. First I was served complimentary soup, chicken veggie coconut curry, which was fantastic. Then came the lamb curry, falling off the bone and swimming in a rich, but thin yellow curry sauce with plenty of fresh vegetables. I was so disappointed that I couldn't eat it all, because I couldn't take the leftovers with me. The only ? for me was the garlic naan that was more like a panini bread and coated with garlic seasoning rather than fresh garlic. But it was comped to me anyway along with a few slices of lemon blueberry pound cake to wrap it all up, so I am in no way complaining. The owner provided fantastic service, and I would go back in a heartbeat. If you find yourself in Lewiston, do yourself a favor and take the time to locate this hidden gem! Next time, I'm trying the mango chicken...

I live in Seattle and came home to visit my parents in Clarkston. I was happy to learn there was an Indian food option nearby. But as soon as I walked in I knew things would not be right. The guy that runs this place used to run an Indian place up in Moscow and I have already experienced his low quality, hack version of Indian food. Yes, he has already been run out of at least one town for helth violations. For those of you who grew up on the Palouse like I did you probably don't have a lot of experience with Indian food but there are more Indian restaurants than I can count here in Seattle. Chicken tikka masala is one of the most common, standard Indian dishes you can get. The dish is famous worldwide and consider the unofficial national dish of England. Point being the recipe is pretty well commonly understood. I ordered it here and was served chicken breast that had been boiled into what tastes to me like coconut milk and a packet of golden curry you may get in any Safeway. I'm not going to explain how to make the dish but I assure you that is not it. In fact the correct way to make the dish is described on his menu. When I asked what was up with my food and why it was not what I expected, he told me "that's just the way we do it here". This would be the equivalent of ordering a cheeseburger and having someone give you a lamb Gyro with feta telling you "that's just the way we do it here". There is no way 1 guy can have a menu that big with that many options and not have a freezer full of pre-made crap. But I think the secret is no matter what you order he just makes up whatever in the back and tells you that's what it is. For those of you living over there I'm sorry this is what you think Indian food is like but I assure you that if you have the opportunity actual Indian food is delicious.

Good vegetarian options. Place looked kinda sketchy, but food tasted very good. Waiter was attentive and friendly. Not all food on the menu was actually available (like the vegetable samosas). Overall, a good place to eat with very reasonable prices.

Classic Indian Restaurant, but its in the middle of Idaho. Can't win them all unless you happen to live in this barron wasteland of crappy food and you find the King of Thai. This chef is truly a master of the spice; Cardamom was perfectly fragrant in my husband's Lamb dish. Mine was a vegan, chickpea curry sauce but unlike any curry I have tasted. Rice was beautifully textured and fragrant with fennel and cumin. I do not know if the naan was homemade but it is made in the traditional style: Absolutely delicious, flat, soft with a tiny crust at the top, sprinkled with salt and brushed with butter, served hot! What else did we have . . . Oh, a plate of flash fried onions and peppers started our meal and added flair to our other dishes when we added the bits of veggies. We finished with a tug from the hookah; an apple-y flavored tobacco of sorts. This is the only good restaurant I have found in the Lewis-Clark Valley.
