I've been going to Whiskey Jacques for a quite a while now. This place definitely draws an ecliptic mix of people, from the young 20-somethings, to the geriatrics. Live bands most nights of the week, especially weekends, makes this place where a lot of people go at the end of the night. There is typically a cover charge of about $5. Dollar Tuesdays (drafts and mixed drinks) will ensure that you have a fun night for cheap. Fun in the winter and summer time. Note: Getting a cab can take while, so figure out how you are getting home before you hit Whiskey Jacques (the KART bus stops running around midnight).

I was in Idaho for a wedding and the bride and groom had a party at Whisky Jacques. I was really impressed -- the place was packed on a Labor Day Friday night, the music was good, and most importantly the drinks were good and affordable. Coming from San Francisco, the lower drink prices were a shock to my system. It was "the place" to be in downtown Ketchum every night I was there.

This was the first place we wandered into on our first foray into town and we came back every day during our visit. We took up a spot at the end of the bar and were soon in a conversation with one of the locals, whose son was behind the bar. I felt like we had known everyone for years. We mainly focused on the drinks but did manage to sample a bit of the food apre's ski. The chicken strips and the nachos were both solid. Live music on Saturday night, Drive-by Truckers on the sound system in the afternoon, good prices on drinks all the time. I can't wait for my 2013 trip!

KETCHUM, ID: Whiskey Jaques is a fun little bar and music venue here outside of Sun Valley. It is small, pretty intimate, and a fun place to hang out. Pool and air hockey await as well as reasonably priced drinks.

We went there to grab some drinks with some friends. The girl at the front was completely rude! Told us to leave in a very rude manner because they were too full...

I love middle America and coming to little hole in the wall places, which here is considered a city. Is supposed to be exciting to us, I understand this isn't "gay town" but when a man and his partner walk in and you treat them like complete garbage (even though we're the people who fuel your economy) you do NOT treat us like nothing. I'm NOT expecting extra service but just the bare minimum (which is okay) I am visiting with people who live and work in this city for longer then this girl has probably lived and one bad experience will never have me back there. I just hope you can realize and accept who and what you hire to represent your business. Keep in mind not everyone comes here with a full family and that is what keeps this town and surrounding towns surviving off of the people who aren't from here.

Cheap drinks, good service... Yes CHEAP DRINKS in Ketchum. Tuesday night live music $1 wells, $2 big PBRs. Pool table, foosball, etc.. You'll feel like your at your home town bar... Except they won't know your name.

The buns and burgers were burnt and the drinks didn't taste that good and were over priced. We waited about 30 minutes for the band to set up but then were told they were actually setting up for the following evening.

From New York for mountain bike nationals, my buddies and I tried to have a post race night at the bar. At the age of 22 or 23 this bar is not the happenin spot. No yolo'ing will go down. No socializing and good times will be had. Uptight and full of hicks. The manager is a dickwad. Enjoy if that's your thing.

If rudeness--alternating with being ignored--by the bartender (manager?) is your idea of a good time, then by all means make Whiskey Jacques the centerpiece of your evening. Bonus: if you thrill to the sound of the f-word and even the c-word, then grab a table close to the bar or the grill to hear the staff's nonstop personal comments. I've been to Whiskey's many times over the years and it was good fun for a long time, but look at the dates on the reviews and you'll see that things have changed.

Whiskey Jacques just opened following its closing due to a fire. It has a nice younger crowd for Sun Valley and included good looking/well to-do locals and vacationers. We had a chicken pizza and a couple drinks. Pizza was homemade and fantastic. Staff was friendly.

After dinner at the Pioneer Saloon, we decide to go to Whiskey Jacques because we hear that the live music is pretty good. We rolled up to the front door, and the bouncer/ID checker tells us that there's a cover charge. There were 11 of us, and it would be $25 for all of us. I know, peanuts. But we really didn't feel the need to pay cover charge just to sit around and hang out. As we turned to walk away, the bouncer dropped that idea and let us in for free. When we walked in, we knew we were going to have a good time - air hockey table and arcade games galore. My friend challenged me to a hunting challenge - once I got the hang of things, I SMOKED him on virtually hunting elk and other similar animals, but he apparently has a faster trigger finger and beat me on the quail round. It's a fun place to hang out with friends, listen to music and play arcade games!

Whiskey's is by far the best bar in Sun Valley. Pizza is awesome, place gets cracking when it's crowded in town. The best thing about Whiskey's is Dollar Night. Every Sunday and Tuesday they have dollar well drinks and shots. Come in and make some bad decisions. You will probably regret it the next day !!

Who knows what the food is like?...That is not the point here...Checking in at eleven pm and dancing like a dervish and perhaps meeting something new is the point...the only real music, hook up, crazy dance joint in town...

i was in Idaho for business for the second night, and i was bored off my ass. i wandered into whiskey jacques' expecting to be stared at and treated like an alien (illegal... extraterristrial, take your pick) and was really surprised to find such an awesome place. whiskey's has a large projector screen so that you can sit anywhere in the restaurant/bar and watch the game. the staff is super friendly and definitely helped an outsider pick an awesome new beer. the food was good and spicy. i had a spicy meatball sandwich that just stuck to my ribs. it was damned good. the bartender was freakin hilarious and was always willing to keep a conversation up for as long as you could speak coherrently. i met a few great people at the bar and i hope i have to go back to idaho :) i'll definitely go back to whiskey jacques' for some good food and hilarious company.
