If you don't have a reservation, don't bother going to Christina's - even if the restaurant is 80% empty as it was when we went last Friday. They give you 'the look' like you were the worst person on earth to not set a reservation and then sit you on the side of the restauranta - away from everyone. Mind you, there were only four tables taken in the patio are. The rest of the restaurant - inside and out was empty. The food this time was sub par - San Francisco salad was horrible and the burger was bleh. The mimosa was great but we won't be going back. We enjoyed the Ketchum Grill, Globus and the Kneadery much better. Great food and amazing service at these locations - no attitude and no rolling of the eyes.

I was in a real pickle when I arrived at Cristina's.... I didn't know if I wanted something savory, or something sweet... and it didn't get any easier after perusing the menu!.. Luckily, our waitress was very sweet and helped me work through the decision. It was not an easy one, but I decided to go with the banana pancakes. That was the best decision I made all day! They were hands down, the best banana pancakes I have ever had. They were cooked perfectly with some bananas sliced and cooked into the batter and some bananas place on top of the pancakes. I basically inhaled the entire plate. I also liked their display of breads, Italian treats and desserts. This is definitely a very tasty breakfast establishment... their bloody mary also hit the spot... but after seeing a mimosa I had wished I had gone for one of those!

Delicious Tuscan breakfast---highly recommend. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff displayed impeccable service.

Solid choice for breakfast. Ask about off menu items.

Most recently came here for Sunday brunch but have done dinner and the annual food walk here. As soon as you sit down they bring a huge basket of savory and sweet breads that by itself would fill two people up. Resisted anything more than the sticky bun and ordered an iced Americano and French Toast. The French Toast was delicious and very gooey inside. Second only to some I've had in San Fran. Americano was great as well. The service was very transactional and nothing to write home about. At least she was quick and attentive throughout the service. Also bought a cookbook as a gift. I'm sure we will be back.

If you wanna impress you significant other, take her here. Pastries is the way to go. My girlfriend said her raspberry croissant changed her life. I tried it and tried to steal it when she went to look at Cristina's own cookbooks. I noticed Cristina upset at her staff which I'm sure she's trying to uphold her high standards cause this food is food network chef worthy. Her staff can be short with people. We were trying to buy more for the road and the cashier guy with a pony tail wasn't being helpful at all so we just left.

I love the food and atmosphere here! Always a great time! You can't come to Ketchum or Sun Valley without stopping by Christina's. Ask for the server Billy, he always has the greatest recommendations and can take your meal and elevate it to a true outstanding dining experience!

Love it! Just had breakfast here, small, quaint and cozy place. I ordered the Christina's breakfast, poached egg, grilled thick slices tomato, whited spinach on top of a nice slice of crostini drizzled with balsamic and dusted with fresh Parmesan cheese YUM!! Also had to try 2 of the day's specials, buckwheat blueberry pancakes and an omelette with Italian sausage, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, both were equally very good. Good service and they have a nice selection of cookies and cheeses. We're here a few more days so we'll be back for brunch!

I absolutely love this restaurant. Very delicious although I wish it was open for dinner. I'm having a lamb burger now the best!

We were in Sun Valley a few weeks ago and had a great Sunday morning brunch at Cristina's Restaurant. I think Cristina was of course in the kitchen, but so busy, and it was extremely crowded. We did not have a reservation but snuck in early and promised to vacate our seats in about an hour, no problem and worth every minute. I had juevos rancheros and my husband had pancakes, excellent choices. Not to mention my bloody mary of course, spicy and perfect. On the way out I spent over $60 on her coffee, nuts, jams, and other goodies - oops! I have her cookbook and think she is amazing.

Wonderful restaurant. Exquisite breakfast in a wonderful setting. Possibly the best meal we ate during our visit to Sun Valley.

Love this place. Christina herself is great and enjoyed stopping in for a glass of wine and brunch after hitting the slopes. Big fan of the French macarons.

"See and be seen" hot spot in town and ALWAYS superb food. Completely consistent and reliable. Would live to eat here daily!!

KETCHUM, ID: My favorite restaurant in Idaho that is outside of Boise. This place is unbelievably wonderful. I've been here twice and had my socks knocked off on both occasions. My favorite menu item is the charcuterie board. Awesome! Honey, nuts, cheeses, fruits, it's one of the most generous and adventurous I've seen. As a culinary treasure hunter, this is the kind of discovery that keeps me happy and coming back. I look forward to every visit to Sun Valley so that I might partake of the goodness at Cristina's!

Wonderful experience here with food and customer service. I enjoyed the tomato bisque soup and my salad with chicken dish. Secure reservations as its tough to get in with limited hours. No availability when we arrived but the hostess called us back from the street when we exited. Just that gesture alone was worth our dining experience!

We discovered Cristina's on our annual ski trip to Sun Valley a few years ago...It is an absolutely amazing! The breakfast and lunches are simply amazing....egg dishes and the best tomato bisque ever. Cristina's has all sorts of homemade goodies from pastries, cookies, jams and cakes. We always stop by 2 or 3 times every trip!!! It is just that outstanding. We stopped by one day without reservations and expected a wait. The staff was very attentive and served us drinks and snacks. Awhile later Cristina herself brought a plate of appetizers as well! I would rate Cristina's as one my favorites in the country!

We had a Sunday brunch here, and could not have enjoyed it more! I often get reluctant to ask if gluten free things are available, but our waiter mentioned them first, and cheerfully brought me an entire basket of gluten free breads! They were seriously good also. I had a panini sandwich on gluten free bread, which was the best I have ever had, and my husband had the eggs Benedict, with the best hollandaise sauce he has ever had! Waitstaff were extremely attentive, and brought our dog some water and special treats (we were seated outside). To top it off, our waiter wrapped up all the remaining gluten free bread for me to take home. I would eat here again, definitely.

We had been really excited to try Cristina's. It came highly recommend for it's Italian inspired dishes. Sadly, we arrived on a day where they weren't offering any pasta dishes -- how can you not at least have a pasta bolognese? Also strange, they were completely out of beer. How can you be out of beer? I settled for a pizza which was average. As another reviewer noted, the bread basket was the best part of the meal.

Favorite local spot! Great espresso, bread, pizza, salad and soups-- especially bisques. Enjoy and watch for Cristina herself, a true chef!

Badabooooom...just enjoying the high noses noshing here is enough for a stop and a laugh...but then there is the food...superb from top to end...there are people who eat here that the paparazzi stalk or the IRS or the FBI or the Huffington Post or...who really cares...except themselves...

Just to update Yelp, there is no finer breakfast, brunch, lunch, or catering in the region, possibly in the galaxy. Cookbook author, Cristina, is sometimes open for dinner on special holidays and for hosted dinners. The garden terrace where I sit now, is great, and full of cheerful Ketchum regulars with the occasional discrete celebrity. Fresh, creative, beautifully prepared and presented dishes, here or to go. Take home dinner, imported cheeses, and something irresistible from the bakery case. The bakers here are amazing. I could go on, but just try this place!

Lunch on 3/21/2015. I wish there were several star ratings compiled into one review, to be fair to restaurants. I was steered to Cristina's by the gracious front desk personnel at the resort we were staying at. Quaint at first sight, my husband and I entered the establishment only to hear a heated argument between the owner and the delivery man. Things better left to the back room. An older waitress showed us to a glass room with cramped seating. Being claustrophobic and unable to eat in a room of 85 degrees plus, I politely asked if there was an available table inside the restaurant. She said rudely, "sure you lead the way". Then told a young waitress, Antonya (forgive me if I spelled it wrong), that she was too hot to have to deal with a customer like myself. You are hot because the glass room is above 85 degrees! Also, rude comments once again is better said in the back. I give 5 stars to Antonya, she was a pleasure and a wonderful waitress. 1 stars for the meatloaf, not worth the pretentious price or any price for that matter. I give 5 stars for the tomato bisque and cheesecake, excellent. To be fair, 1 star for the lack of professionalism, 1 star for the atmosphere and 1 star for the other wait staff. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area that are consistently excellent, so Cristina's will not be a "go-to-place". Etiquette goes a long way in my book.

The food was good, however our server...not so much. My friend had questions on the menu (simple ones like: out of these two dishes, which do you prefer or recommend?) she didn't really give an answer which was frustrating. She also forgot something I had ordered and took a while to get it to me once I reminded her of it, with a slight apology. I had an omelette which was cooked a little strangely -- usually whatever is inside the omelette is cooked in...mine was basically thrown in once the egg was cooked so it was hard to eat it all together. Not sure I'd go back based on the high prices and poor service.

Most fun place for lunch. Real people watching. Waiters know their stuff. Food is exquisite. Christina is one of the hardest working people I know and it shows in her cuisine.
(5)Danielle S.
Great wine, good food, excellent service and friendly locals. Remember to dress nicely and make a reservation.

Crisitna's is spelled without an H. They needed the H for their High High prices. Still, it's a nice spot with pretty good food, including baked goods. I give them props for trying an omelet with D'Affinois, but adding a pound of it plus avocado and spinach is not very wise. If I hadn't added bacon it would have been totally inedible. I'd go back for some bread and pastry, but I wouldn't lay down the sixty bucks for oatmeal and the omelet of arterial doom again.

So 5 years ago we made a reservation here for my Grandfathers 80th Birthday. We had a large group of people so we booked the patio section 6 months in advance. A couple days before the event we called and confirmed our reservation and everything appeared set for his Birthday. This is where things took a big turn South... The day of the event we all arrive a little bit early and were told that we didn't have a reservation. Something not so funny is that my father had gone in person the day before and seem our reservation in writing on the reservation book. Not only that but you could see where the reservation had been erased and written over to accommodate a larger party. Our party ended up being split to separate indoor tables... No comp... No apology. We have not been back in 5 years. Considering we have groups of 5-20 multiple times up a year visiting in the area I'm just guessing their decision has cost them thousands.

Had their Sunday brunch. Food was excellent. The reviews on the tomato basil soup were dead on. My wife said it was the best she has ever had. I am not a tomato fan but I even liked it. Only complaint would be it was a little spendy but it was Sun Valley so that was to be expected.
(4)Susan B.
Best tomato bisque I've ever had, so delicious that you could pour it over pasta and call it dinner. Fantastic artichoke heart, spinach, and roasted beet salad. Simply delicious homemade breads. I didn't try the desserts this time, but I plan on going back and giving them a try. The atmosphere is so beautiful and homey, I just wanted to hang out on the glass patio drinking coffee and watching the snow fall all day. It's small and very popular, so make reservations if you can. I understand why this is a local favorite.

The best complimentary bread basket in the Mountain Time Zone, featuring warm danishes, cinnamony bread sticks and pastries filled with fresh preserves. Brunch ranges from $14-$22 - which, I note with a frown, rivals Manhattan's choicest. - but this charming, country-style Italian patisserie had several times the character of said eateries. Recommended.

Very impressed! Passing through Sun Valley, our company ordered lunch for us to be delivered to the airport. Many locations around the world will capitalize on this opportunity and bring out junk realizing no recourse. Not Cristina's. Beef fajitas were cooked and seasoned properly, came with guacamole, sour cream, peppers and a side of fruit. Very good flavor as well as presentation. Second meal was a Cobb salad of comparable quality. Third meal was for our passenger (tuna sandwich) and he commented on the same quality of food and presentation. Looking forward to our next trip through Sun Valley.

After reading a ton of reviews we decided to try for lunch. WE had a short visit so I had Cristina's high on the list. My husband and I walked in and did not get the warmest of welcomes. Finally were seated, and had a nice waiter. We ordered the tomato soup, Pastrami sandwich, and Tahini Ahi salad. All were very good. The Ahi was the best thing we ordered. Delicious. The Pastrami was nothing special, but good, as well with the soup. The restaurant it self was very cute and buzzing. No one seemed very friendly that worked there. It almost seemed as though the place is too small for how much business they do, leaving the wait staff on edge. The prices are very high, but its SV. I will go back once in town again to try something new on the menu.

Great breakfast! So much food we had to bring some home! Scrambled eggs yum, paprika potatos really good, bacon good but slightly underdone. My husband had omelette he couldn't finish--which rarely happens. Would love to buy either cookbook from owner. We'll be back.

Without a doubt anything you order at Cristina's is going to be absolutely delicious. I don't know if its the Italian spirit that seeps from Cristina's pores into the food that makes it so good, but it's absolutely amazing. I basically get transported straight to Italy every time I take a bit or sip of something here. I usually go to Cristina's for a fancy lunch or brunch with the family (and hopefully Papa will take the bill) because it's definitely a treat kind of a place. Quite expensive, but the quality of the ingredients make up for it all. The service is decent and there is often a huge line during the summer months when the patio is open so I recommend reservations if you don't want to wait an ungodly long time. I always get their salads or their tuna fish sandwich that comes on freshly baked foccacia bread. The wine selection is great as well and you can never go wrong with a crisp glass of prosecco to wash down that delicious plate of food in front of you. Cristina herself can usually be found at her restaurant making sure all of her guests are satisfied and please with their food. It's always nice to see the chef/owner when you go for a meal.

We had a very forgettable lunch. The soups were uninspired, a blackened chicken breast sandwich with Gorgonzola was a miss, service was fair but not attentive. I would give this place a pass as we will in the future

Quaint European type restaurant set inside an adorable little yellow house. We went there for breakfast this time and the Orange Cinnamon Berry French Toast was amazing! The indoor glass patio was warm and inviting and we had a delightful meal-- watching it snow. The service was not only prompt but the staff were absolutely fantastic! We had a great time chatting with our waiter! It is a great place for a intimate meal with your significant other. It really isn't very kid friendly.
(4)Smackers M.
Good bakery items to go. We enjoyed all the items we ordered. We did not get the 2 plain croissants we ordered and paid for, so that rots, but no impact on the rating. The new girl will get up to speed soon.
(4)Jessica N.
This is a cute little European style restaurant with a great menu and nice decor. I got the daily special scallops on a bed of pasta and it was delicious. It was certainly much better than the pizza of my dining companion. The tomato bisque is also very good here. Be sure to make reservations early as this little spot fills up quickly around lunch time!
(4)Emily E.
Small but beautiful breakfast menu. I had an omelet with roasted tomatoes, avocado and gruyere. It came with toasted artesian bread and a side of fresh fruit that looked like it had been just picked. It was delish! The atmosphere is homey and the place is as charming as a restaurant can get. The outdoor patio is lovely. I felt like I had been treated to a great brunch at a good friend's house.

I've heard so much about this restaurant from my family and friends that I knew it was gonna be good. I tried to eat here last x-mas and it never happened .Every time we went , the place was slammed! We finally got lucky this year and it was awesome! We had the eggs benedict and lobster/gruyere/avocado omelet. Both amazing. Everything was great...the ambiance, the service, the bread, the butter! The whole experience. We bought one of Cristina's cook books as well and she came to our table and signed it for us. Very classy lady. If you're in Sun Valley...GO!
