When Cornerstone first came to Ketchum (perfect Main Street location, BTW) I went with friends. None of us were impressed with the small portions, the waiter telling us that was the new trend, and the high prices. Needless to say, that was our last time there. UNTIL...after a girls' night at the movies this week. My Gin and Tonic was wonderful (that is how I rate most restaurants!) and my Macaroni and cheese was fabulous! I'm picky about Mac and Cheese and this was wonderful. Everyone else had salads and 1 polenta with Brussel sprouts was a bit heavy on the salt, but delicious!

Despite how wordy I can be when I Yelp, I think this may be my shortest review. Why? Because I need only one word to describe the LAMB I had here: AWESOME. #fivestars #delicious #greatservice #amazingpresentation We rolled out of there (lol, almost literally) after the most AWESOME creme brulee as well.... we will be back next ski season for more! Thank you, Cornerstone for a wonderful dinner!

Just devoured the best bowl of soup I've ever had. The chilled melon soup with the mint whipped mascarpone and prosciutto. Wow. That was followed with the brilliant zucchini fritters and elk burger. Amazing food and Jeremy was very kind and fun.

Don't ever eat at this establishment! Tonight while trying to enjoy my meal and the live music, which they do not typically provide, I witnessed the CHEF of this restaurant push/shove one of the musicians not once but twice in a hostile manner while he was playing for all of us, the customers. Then the CHEF proceeded to pick a fight with the other musician. THIS IS ABSURD AND UNPROFESSIONAL AT ITS FINEST!!! In no way were the two musicians doing anything except providing nice musical entertainment for all of us, the guests. If this is how the Cornerstone operates by hiring thugs and doing nothing to mitigate the situation than they should not be in business! Awful place with awful staff! Do not support this restaurant! There are plenty of other great places in Ketchum and Sun Valley to enjoy your Friday evening. Thanks Cornerstone for ruining my night!! And I am sorry for the musicians who had to endure such hostility and the rest of the customers who had to witness such awful human beings being so rude!! This review is making me pick a star but after tonight they do not deserve one at all!

I had an incredible dinner tonight. I basically sat at the bar and asked the bartender to suggest what to eat. She helped me through the menu. There are so many delicious items it was hard to decide. I basically had about five appetizers and dessert. If you're new to town and looking for a great place to come for a local, this is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend it.
We came to get just cocktails and apps and ended up staying for dinner. I tried all of the margaritas and all were great! We tried the soup shooters, crab cakes and brussel sprouts all were delicious. For dinner we got the cioppini and the fish of the day-grouper. Both were delicious. I was very please with the amount of veggies served with my fish: broccolini, asparagus, carrots and kale in the rice. Someone wrote on another review that the veggies were underdone, that is ridiculous. The veggies were cooked perfectly, still crisp.

Cornerstone Bar and Grill is a friendly place to dine in Ketchum.. The menu has many healthy delicious options to choose including Happy hour 4-6:30 and a daily Chicken chefs special . We sampled a nice Boudreaux offered at Happy hour prices, just $5.00 a glass. The Brussels Sprouts are a must to share and the roasted Beet salad I delightful...A great place to sample and share plates deigned for the whole table to enjoy! I will be back next time when visiting the Sun valley area!

Went with a party of 8. Drinks were delicious and creative, though a little expensive. Service was mediocre. Had the ribeye and it was almost tasteless. No response to my complaint. Same complaint about the halibut special. Probably won't go back.

While the wait staff was really friendly and attentive and the appetizers were decent, the main courses were quite bad. Even if they weren't overpriced, I would still be disappointed with the level of quality of both the meat and seafood. All parties in my group also received under-cooked vegetables with their main courses. There are many better choices in Ketchum for dinner - most of them are better priced as well.

We stopped in to Cornerstone for an early dinner this week and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself was beautiful and our waitress was very friendly. Most critically, we each ordered the halibut special and all agreed that it was the best halibut we've ever had. Three big thumbs up.

Pleasant evening in a great looking dining room in a historic building - a bit noisy though. Active bar scene. Food was not too good to very good, depending, but generally not what one expects in a town like Ketchum with so many top choices. Appetizers: Lamb meatball appetizers were excessively salty and almost inedible. A corn bisque was good but uninspired: a slightly corn flavored bowl of warm cream that could have used some spice and a little more texture. Mac and cheese was excellent: a huge portion for an appetizer. Mains: nice wild salmon, excellent special Coq Au Vin (maybe a little salty), good chicken breast. Friendly and sincere service.

My husband, son and I wandered in for an early dinner and thought the service and food were excellent. My son is an extremely picky eater and he loved the kids elk burger. I had the carrot soup for app then shrimp & grits and my husband had the house salad/sea bass special - absolutely delicious with tons of fresh roasted vegetables as a side. Kid friendly but still high-end bar & grill ambience.

Service is top notch. All the employees treated us great with a smile and laughter. Very friendly. Ordered the crab cake appetizer ...a bit dissapointed. The crab was a bit fishy which was disappointing. The cream avacaodo that accompanies the crab cake was more cream than avacado. Not the best. Recommend the pineapple martini! In house specialty. Ordered summer rissoto and flank steak for dinner. I enjoyed the steak which was cooked to order and flavored very well. The lady was not impressed with her rissoto. Great ambiance and style. High recommend.

The meal started off badly with warm water and cold bread. Seriously, you have to ask for ice to put any water? My son got the short ribs, which he didn't care for but I thought they were pretty good. They were very tender and pretty tasty. I got the ribeye, which was very ordinary. Not charred at all, and not seasoned very well. The "famous" mac & cheese was below par. Very oily and not very creamy.

We really enjoyed our night here!! The vibe is hip enough for a city slicker, romantic enough for the table for 2, and laid back enough for the family off the slopes. We started with the ahi tuna appetizer and shredded apple. He had the fillet and it was very juicy. I can't tell you about the sides because he didn't share :-( I had the king salmon with lemon risotto. The pomegranates were a very nice and surprising addition. We ended with the chocolate torte - rich deliciousness in my mouth. Oh, and did I mention the bottle of Relentless? Hey, it was the last night of my ski season!

Pretty good food, although my elk burger was cold when I got it. Hot fries, cold burger. The server had told us our food was going to be a while because the kitchen was backed up, but I'm guessing my burger got done early and just sat on the line for a while. Excellent cocktail menu, and really delicious looking food choices. Our server was good, but at one point got slammed and couldn't help us for a while. I work in restaurants, and noticing this place I realized that it was quite poorly run. For example, a party left a table near us, and the table stay dirty with dishes and glasses on it for about 15 to 20 minutes. There were two servers upstairs where we were sitting, no bussers (we sat with dirty finished dishes in front of us for 15 min), and while one server was standing around doing nothing, not even helping the other server, we sat with empty water glasses for about 20 minutes as well. As a matter of fact, he went to his table, they didn't have water, about a foot from us, and gave them water and walked right past our empty glasses. There's clearly no sense of teamwork. It's a shame, as really excellent service would mean a lot in the space like this. I work in a restaurant where teamwork is key. Seeing what needs to be done is key. I'd like hot food and good service. Perhaps it's growing pains? It's too SPENDY for the quality of both the food and service.

Great spot for a nice dinner. Fondue (get there before 6PM for this offering!) was scrumptious - and filling. Wine and beer offerings, as well as the number of vegetarian choices, were great. Service was good as well. We sat in the front and were glad we did. Like other Yelpers noted, much better people watching here - the back seems a bit claustrophobic.

Went to Corner Stone for dinner. Average tasting food with price and presentation you would expect from a place that describes its cuisine as haute. Liked the decor and ambiance. Noisy but not too loud to be able to have a conversation. Lots of locals hanging out and larger groups enjoying food and libations. Our waitress was a bit of a space cadet, looking everywhere but at us while telling us the specials and taking our order. She also forgot the bread. Asked for iced tea, was declined. Later overheard the owner say "someone asked for iced tea and I told them the only iced tea we have is in our Long Islands." Well, that smug attitude and average food just earned you 2 stars. Cheers.

We shared a trio of appetizers, all excellent. The risotto balls (yes, stuffed with Mozzarella and flash fried) were unique and very good; the beet salad excellent; and the sauteed calamari in a tomato/caper/basil sauce was extraordinary. The owner/hostess Megan was most congenial. And a most welcome feature: it is quiet. one can have a civil conversation without shouting. We will be back....

This is a pretty nice place for Ketchum. They are trying to be a classy city like restaurant in a small town, which I respect, but they could do a much better job. How can you not have either a chicken sandwich or hamburger on your menu? Seriously, it really isn't that complicated. Also, I know this is a small town, but have a little bit of respect towards your customers. When you give someone a bill, thank them for stopping in. Don't just throw the bill at them. Not that complicated.

I have not read the reviews...so I may be repeating what another noted...locally this great restaurant is referred to as the Cougarstone...a not very kind note on the simple fact the this towns demographic is about fifty to dead and on the weekends it becomes something of a hook-up place for these smiling, denialing locals on their last fantasy...not to worry...go and eat...ask to sit at the Prow...a spot on the second floor that is a counter for about eight diners with a view of the entire ground floor...the Wedge is excellent as is most everything...

I want to like Cornerstone so badly because they've got such a beautiful restaurant in such a great location, but it just fails to execute on some important levels. Both their drink menu and dining menu are really inventive. The drinks are usually always good, but I have yet to have one good culinary experience here. First...if you're going to serve Oysters on the half-shell and charge $10 for 4 of them (we got 8 oysters), you better do them right. The best words I can use to describe how they serve oysters is "No effort." Our oysters came sliding around on a regular plate, not on top of a bed of ice or anything. They were just cold enough to not send back, so that part was fine, but they still should put them on some crushed ice. Nobody wants the perception that their oysters have been sitting out for 20 minutes waiting for the waitress to serve them...which took 20 minutes from the time we ordered them. They served them with a mignonette sauce instead of the cocktail sauce, which was good, but they didn't even give us a little spoon to put some sauce on our oysters. What are we supposed to do, dump the little pot of it onto the oysters and make a huge mess -or- dip the oysters into the pot? Next, they didn't have cocktail sauce when we asked for it, so we made our own with some horseradish and ketchup. They didn't serve the oyster plate with lemon wedges either. To top it all off, they didn't even give us a little fork for the oysters, as is customary. So to recap...no ice, no cocktail sauce, no lemons, no spoon for the sauce, and no fork for the Oysters. It was just 8 oysters on a plate sliding around with a mignonette sauce...sad. Please increase the effort level. Next, they need to train their bartenders better. The gal working the bar was nice enough and trying her hardest, but it was clear that she was new. I ordered an Old Fashioned with Maker's. It took our poor girl 10 minutes to make it and she used four glasses, a cocktail napkin as some sort of filter, and a bunch of hullabaloo that didn't neet to be there. Keep it simple Cornerstone...cause she was following the recipe that you guys gave her. Take a lowball glass, put a cube of sugar in it, pour a few drops of bitters, crush the sugar, add an orange slice and a cherry or two, muddle it all (in the same glass), splash of simple syrup, add a shot of Maker's, top off with a few cubes of ice and stir. What's so hard about that? It looked like Disney World...all I want's a drink damnit. I'm going to keep going back to Cornerstone periodically...like I said, its a great place for drinks usually. I'm hoping the food improves...cause it really needs to.

The food is excellent and the service is helpful and friendly. We had mahi mahi and short ribs well presented with stringed sweet potato, broccolini and a huge onion ring. Fun noisy atmosphere with an open kitchen. Upstairs has white cloth dining but we stuck to the main floor. Only negative was the obligatory sliced white bread and oil. Please find some gourmet bread and present it well to start us off on the right foot! You're on the verge of 5 stars but not quite there.

Finally had dinner here over Labor Day weekend and was more or less impressed with the food. We had a group of 4 and were told the wait would be about 30 minutes (which was confusing since there were several open tables but I think they were under-staffed). We grabbed drinks in the bar and ordered the calamari. If I were to only order one dish at Cornerstone it would be this one. At least what I have sampled there thus far. The olives, the capers, the BROTH...to die for. A couple pieces of the calamari were a bit overcooked (aka rubbery) but overall the dish was a solid B. They serve it with a piece of bread soaked with the sauce in the middle but our server accommodated our request for additional bread in order to sop up the extra sauce. 3 of the 4 ordered the elk burger. One in our party wanted it medium to medium-well but the server convinced her to go medium (which is how the others ordered it). It was disappointing to see that hers was the pinkest of the 3 served. She switched 1/2 which my hubby but it still wasn't perfectly to her liking. I ordered the grilled caesar which was great and the soup which was a brothy tomato served with a crostini. Service was slow but our server explained they were short staffed. Wine and cocktail list is interesting. Definitely one of the better wine lists I have seen in town and love that they had 3 roses by the glass. As I stated before, interesting space for a small ski town. Overall better experience than the one across the street at B.

We enjoyed this renovated awesome old historic building and the food was delicious. We will visit again soon and try some different items on the menu. Make reservations....it's very popular because it's a great place to dine!! Well....tried it again and was disappointed. The food was nowhere as good as before, the service was slow and not attentive and it was way noisy!! Seems to have become the local new hangout for the bar crowd. Still love the decor and aesthetics of the historic bldg but the food, menu must improve!!!

Love this place! Had a great girls night... shared the ahi appetizer, crab cake and hazelnut crusted sole (a special that night). Our server, who was awesome, suggested a drink called "the hot mess" - all were wonderful. We both agreed the fish was some of the best we have had. All in all a wonderful meal at a hip and fun spot. Will definitely go back!

Recommend making reservations as they don't handle walk ins very well. Odd table placement in a basement next to a curtain that covers doors. Service was average. Food was good. Had the mushroom risotto, tuna appetizer, salmon entree and chicken entree. Good reasonable portions.

Great ambiance, great service, and the hands down best cocktails in the Sawtooths. The calamari is the best I have ever had, and there are tons of great items for vegs & vegans. Opens at 4:30 for killer fondue and $1 oysters. You can't go wrong, especially when they have Pirate Night. Yes, you hearrrrrrd me correctly. How can you not love a place that has Pirate NIght? God bless Meg & Eric!

First, ignore the 1 star reviews. They have a $75 corkage fee (that benefits a battered women's shelter). Do not bring your own wine. Now, onto the food. We had an ahi tuna nicoise, Cesar salad, beef short ribs with fried sweet potato, salmon with lemon risotto, and an elk burger with bacon, yellow tomatoes, and a free substitution of green beans for my fries. The presentation was gorgeous! Upscale dining comes to Ketchum! The server and the hostess were attentive and patient. We sat upstairs, away from the hubbub, where it was quieter, but if you're looking for a lively scene, eat downstairs. I'd recommend reservations, especially if you have a seating preference, and the beers are a better deal than the wines. Entrees cost $15-$25. This is easily one of the best restaurants in Ketchum! Extra service point - they boxed my mom's food and wrote the contents and date on the top of the box. Unnecessary, unrequested, and very thoughtful.

Amazing menu and good service. Food is pricey but we got decent sized portions. Did not leave hungry. Sat in the restaurant, not bar. Good wine selection.

(5)Andrew G.

OMG - best meal we have had in our 4 weeks of travel. Maybe we are fussy eaters from New Zealand but not only is the location very cool, the wait staff were professional and friendly and the good was divine. ! I had the Beef Short ribs marinated in cola - SO tasty & the meat just melted in my mouth. My husband had the Idaho lamb - yummy ... Tasty, tender & cooked to perfection. My son had the kids meal and ordered salmon - the waiter kindly gave veges. & fries - awesome value for $8. To finish we had bourbon & vanilla creme brûlée - great way to finish the meal. We ordered NZ Brancott Sav Blanc and paid less than we would have at home. THE best meal ever - thanks !!
(5)T. C.

(5)Ryan M.
Went with a party of 8. Drinks were delicious and creative, though a little expensive. Service was mediocre. Had the ribeye and it was almost tasteless. No response to my complaint. Same complaint about the halibut special. Probably won't go back.
(3)Steven G.
(2)Richard H.
Great service, excellent drinks, outstanding food! The Salmon was amazing, and the homemade Paloma bevy was fantastic. Bartender friendly but not overbearing. Very good atmosphere for a wanderer, or a group of friends. Classy but not stuffy. I ll be back.
(5)Teena S.
Fabulous dinner! From appetizers (artichoke) to dessert (smores), it was all delicious. Awesome service too!
(5)Steve H.
We stopped in to Cornerstone for an early dinner this week and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself was beautiful and our waitress was very friendly. Most critically, we each ordered the halibut special and all agreed that it was the best halibut we've ever had. Three big thumbs up.
(5)Sam H.
(3)Carissa P.
(5)Troy D.
Worst place in Ketchum. Rude service. Dumpy atmosphere. Manager was outright rude. A disgrace.
(1)Anony M.
Really bad experience here. Don't care to go into detail, but a bad experience.
(1)Todd L.
(4)Connie F.
(2)Rahel K.
(4)Kirsten R.
(3)Bryan H.
Quality of food & service were excellent. Went twice. Had salmon on first visit & vegan dish second. Would go again.
(4)Hailey B.
(4)Josh B.
Cheers.
(2)Fletch W.

Great service, excellent drinks, outstanding food! The Salmon was amazing, and the homemade Paloma bevy was fantastic. Bartender friendly but not overbearing. Very good atmosphere for a wanderer, or a group of friends. Classy but not stuffy. I ll be back.

Fabulous dinner! From appetizers (artichoke) to dessert (smores), it was all delicious. Awesome service too!

Worst place in Ketchum. Rude service. Dumpy atmosphere. Manager was outright rude. A disgrace.

Really bad experience here. Don't care to go into detail, but a bad experience.

Quality of food & service were excellent. Went twice. Had salmon on first visit & vegan dish second. Would go again.

Fun place, good service and nice menu. The food is good- Not outstanding but very enjoyable. Would certainly recommend for a casual fun evening with good drinks. Oysters were very fresh and delicious.

Two nights in a row I was in Cornerstone alone. Both nights I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. The Hot Pedro is an amazing and original cocktail!

(4)Jamie R.
(5)CJ B.

(5)Beck R.
Great atmosphere and very good drinks menu. Steaks, Fish and sides all delicious. Make reservations as it has been full since opening.

Great food and service.

Amazing menu and good service. Food is pricey but we got decent sized portions. Did not leave hungry. Sat in the restaurant, not bar. Good wine selection.
