Love this place! I used to work really close by. The food and drinks are delicious! I will say they aren't the fastest baristas, so I had to allot a little extra time in the morning, but it was definitely worth it!

Fantastic food and fantastic service. Loved the everything bagel with cream cheese and tomato for breakfast; and the sandwiches are amazing. It's not a budget option, but it's not overly expensive either. The coffee is wonderful and, while the seating is average, it's a warm and relaxing atmosphere. You really should take the time to check this place out - you will not be disappointed.

great food, great coffee, great staff! i always find the yummiest treats here, and usually end up having a good laugh with whoever is working as a bonus. the fact that they offer a fantastic selection of gluten free food is wonderful, and they have almond and coconut milk! yeah, get in here...it's good stuff!

Best banana bread you'll every have... seriously. In fact, we love it so much we had Heather make us several loaves for our customers for Christmas one year. She also made over 30 dozen cookies for our school event this year. Great SERVICE! Coffee is always perfect too. Kids love this place!

Just so you know...the only reason I give Perks only 4 stars is that they close at 4 p.m. during the week and 2 p.m. on the weekend. There have been several times I would have liked to say and work here later than that...but other than that... THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! The soup they make fresh every day makes a great snack or lunch. I had the Italian Sausage Basil when I was here and it was delicious. I haven't had the lasagna, but the person I met here did and said it was very good. The fresh baked cookies are sinfully delicious as well. The decor and music are awesome...and EVERYONE I talked to about Perks says great things about it. This is a great place to check out...whether you are from Eagle or not!

Consistently good moist pastries to go with my tea. Recommend the Pumpkin Chai muffin. Bagged tea but it's Two Leafs and a Bud.

I stopped here for breakfast while on a road trip. The food menu is small but what they do have is great. I had an excellent breakfast burrito. The coffee is top notch as well and the shop has a very cozy atmosphere. The location is about eight miles north of I-84 but it's worth the drive if you're passing through. And if you live nearby, no question.

Went there with friends a few days ago. I ordered a mocha with whipped cream and it was perfect! My wife had a latte which was also well made. The atmosphere was great with both inside and outside seating. They were working on the menu and people were coming in and out enjoying another beautiful morning. Great place!.

What a find! The Perks of Life is definitely going to become a regular for me! The restaurant itself was clean, cute, cozy, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. My favorite part was their "Pay it Forward" campaign. No menu prices, you decide what your meal is worth and pay that! Neat! On to the food: I'm not a coffee drinker, but if their coffee is as on point as their hot chocolate it is definitely worth a try! I had just the simple granola and yogurt for breakfast. YUM! Obviously home made granola with pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries and sweet yogurt. We had one slice of quiche.... heaven. Fluffy, soft, flavorful. Highly recommend. Then to end our breakfast we split a maple pecan scone (a Thursday specialty we were told). Sweet and satisfying. Overall, very satisfied with my experience!

I remember going to this place when it first opened and it was great! The same can still be said today! Wonderful beverages, great service, and pastries that are a tasty treat! This spot has a neat little vibe. They always seem to be played really great music when I'm in which is a bonus. Overall, this place is a good stop for all your coffee needs!

Nice little spot owned by a young local couple serving up good home baked goods (the pumpkin muffin is really yummy and the sign says they use local eggs in their baking when those eggs are available), sandwiches, salads, soup and coffee beverages (using Boise roaster Dawson Taylor coffee) on a "pay what you choose" system. The latter makes my Brooklyn born and raised hubby uncomfortable. But he'll get used to it because we plan on going here again. Friendly folks, funky and fun interior (The Band's tune The Weight was playing when we entered and it seemed spot on for the space youtube.com/watch?v=FFqb… ) and outside seating too on days when weather cooperates. We shared a pasta salad that had a little (very) tuna in it with perfectly al dente pasta on fresh greens, a pumpkin muffin and two cups of coffee for our $20 "pay what you choose" contribution. On our noon hour time frame visit we were the only folks inside except for friends and family of the owners. We hope they do a more brisk business on other days because we'd like this nice little place to be successful. A neighborhood vibe, good music, tasty eats and nice people. There may be four stars on the horizon. THIS N THAT: 1) LOCATION & PARKING: In one of Eagle area's many marginal strip malls, there is parking in the associated lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level in and throughout. Standard height seating available. Loo is accessible. 3) NEIGHBORS: CC Forte interior design studio is next door.

Perks of Life is a bit of a ritual for me. Breakfast burrito and a coffee. The breakfast burritos are simple: potatoes, eggs, sausage, cheese. But they are more filling than tortilla and are so satisfying with out making you want to take a nap after. :). They make everything from scratch, and every time I go in there it takes all my will power not to order one of every pastry in their display case. Especially the white chocolate and boysenberry. The smells in there first thing in the morning are pretty intoxicating. The service is always so friendly. You feel like a regular even if you aren't. Their business model is pretty amazing, and worth a trip just to support that in itself.

Can I take a minute to admire, respect and stand in awe of this place?! Seriously. When I came in and was told: Pay what you want. I was overwhelmed with a sense of camaraderie, community and cohesiveness. Our world should-- no, MUST, replicate the philosophy exemplified by Heather and her staff. Thank you for this incredible business model as well as FANTASTIC coffee and ambiance!

My wife and I really like coming here, very hippie vibe yet the baked goods and sandwiches are awesome. Even if you don't drink coffee like us, it's a great deal and pay it forward is a good concept

Interesting little coffee shop. They don't have prices. You pay what you feel is fair. I ordered a breakfast burrito and Lg coffee. Decided to pay $7. The burrito ingredients tasted fresh, but the burrito itself was very small. No options for type of meat or other ingredients, but it tasted good as is. The coffee is the highlight of this tucked away shop, as it should be. Rich, full flavor. Much better than Starbucks. I'll be back for sure. Crazy double rainbow was happening when I stopped by and the cool, hippie-ish owner/manager was tickled pink. It was pretty cool.

Great coffee. Yummy snacks. Cool atmosphere. The 4 star rating is because the customer service was not as great as I was hoping for and the restaurant didn't feel clean. The ordering space was cramped. I will definently be going back for another coffee though. It's the best I've had in Eagle! I'm sad I waited so long to try it. We got a blueberry scone and a latte and an Italian soda. There was a lot of seating. A pretty busy place which I like but not so busy it was obnoxiously loud.

First time here and so glad we did try it out. Excellent flavors in the coffees and the pastries were superb! Tried a curry chicken salad wrap that wasn't overpowering with curry. It, as with everything else, was very fresh and delicious. Note of importance, it is pay what you feel it is worth........no set prices!

This is one those local, hidden gems. The owner, Heather, is a wonderful baker and uses local, fresh ingredients in her baked goods. Truly outstanding! The coffee is in a league of it's own, I am told it is roasted locally and it is perfection. Heather and her barista Beth are very personable, greets me by name, and always seem to be smiling and enjoying their work at this café. Last year, Heather began a "Pay It Forward" campaign that appears to be working well. For all the coffee drinks and baked goods, YOU decide how much to pay. Some people pay a little less, some pay a little more. It is a great concept. This coffee house is the epitome of a local, community business and I wish them the best of continued success in the future!

This cozy little coffee shop is certainly perky! And affordable! The space isn't large but it appears to host a few groups in the community with no problems. They sell cute local wares and definitely achieve the friendly small town vibe they are going for. The coffee is good and I am intrigued by their Chocolate Monkey made with homemade chocolate banana syrup! The pastries are tasty and they even carry gluten-free goodies. I definitely prefer this quiet shop over the chaotic environment that Rembrandt's has become!

Great coffee shop, well made white chocolate mocha... Very nice staff and cool payment system. The music is a tad bit too loud to do work but otherwise a great find. If you live in Eagle there is no other place to go than The Perks of Life!

Great espresso, nice staff. If you want espresso drinks where they understand the principles of great espresso you will not go wrong. The owner can also nail some great latte art. The real deal.
