I am a freelance graphic designer in the Coeur d'Alene/Spokane area. To be accessible to my clients, I often work out of local coffee shops. When I'm in CDA, I often work out of Vault for a few reasons. 1. COFFEE. The coffee is excellent. It's not too strong and not too weak. 2. ATMOSPHERE. The atmosphere, the decor and design of the interior of the shop has an aesthetic that breeds creativity. It's especially nice for me as I am creating logo's, websites and print collateral. 3. COMFORT. This is the biggest reason for me. There are many shops I don't go to because the lack of comfortability. I sit for long periods of time designing and working and need a place that is comfortable. The chairs and tables are PERFECT for me to sit, relax and have a smooth work day.

Fabulous service! Charming, cozy atmosphere. Tired the chai latte, best I've had. Will be back (am on vacation) to try coffee! Thank you :)

I like Vault. Above all else, they have GOOD DRIP COFFEE. I know, what a gas. But the atmosphere is good, service is friendly, ample seating, hip hipsters, and the like. I've only been here 3 or 4 times (I moved to town less than a week ago), out of the 3 coffee shops I'm frequenting, this is my favorite. One sugguestion: open your doors later for internet-sucking, late-night coffee drinking monsters like myself.

Excellent little coffee shop. Service was quick, staff was friendly, and they have beer on tap :) We also had the thai chicken wraps were pretty tasty!

Super good coffee and great atmosphere, will definitely be back.

Try the layered latte. I don't remember the exact concoction, but it was very tasty. I also tried their pumpkin spice cake, which was not too sweet and just the right moistness. They have zippy wifi, plenty of seating and a very friendly staff.

Been here a few times and the service is all ways the same. One person taking the orders and making the drinks. Came In one cold winter night and the owner was taking orders and there was about 15 people in line. Took me about a half hour to get my drink and my food. People are nice and the atmosphere is cool, but I don't see this place lasting long.

Drip coffee is good black, little too acidic but overall smooth. Not a place for a meal. Some bakery items that looked tasty. Atmosphere is modern. Good music playing at a moderate level. Able to read or have a conversation.

This is your typical coffee house. The white chocolate mocha is thick and syrupy. Which I suppose some people like that. I on the other hand can't stand that kind of coffee so this place is not for me. They do have beer on tap and it seems like a nice place to hang out.

Went for a chai and a scone today and both were bleh. The barista was incredibly slow and it wasn't busy at all. Waited over 10 minutes after I ordered for him to get around to my drink. He truly looked like he hated his job. I cant say I wont return because of the location, but I surely wont seek it out like i did with the previous coffee business that was there. Its too bad when someone puts a bunch of money into atmosphere and falls incredibly short on the service.

Great smooth latte made just the way I wanted. Breakfast sandwich is excellent and I heard others rave about a cookie there. Nice baristas each time I was here.

I was visiting Coeur D Alene for a couple of days and was so excited to find the Vault! It is hard for me to find coffee that meets my standards when traveling, and I was delighted to stumble across this place. The coffee was excellent, and the shop is beautifully decorated. If you are into well made craft coffee, this is your spot.

Wonderful clean, modern atmosphere. The owner is a wonderful person and has hired graceful baristas who know how to offer excellent customer service and know how to properly pull an espresso shot and not add to much flavor to their lattes. You've got to try the salted caramels! SO GOOD.

Latte here was alright. It tasted kind of weak and their pastry assortment is okay. For those who aren't looking to just get coffee they do offer a wine bar. The atmosphere here is great and it's a great place to do homework or just relax. They offer an Affogato which a new concept to me, but was delicious!

First and foremost the coffee is amazing, always satisfied with my visit! The environment is very welcoming and the baristas are friendly! I would defiantly recommend stopping by if you have the chance!

Good stuff! Had the layered caramel latte & tried a sip of my husband's peppermint mocha. I like the peppermint mocha better.

We love this little coffee shop!! The atmosphere is so comfortable and inviting. Very nostalgic. Takes you back in time. And the coffee...amazing. I have tried 3 different flavors and they were all very good. Our little downtown needed this!! Chelli Y

Very sterile and blah. They burned my mouth really bad and I couldn't taste for the remainder of my day. I did say 130 on the drink. My scone had a giant dog hair in it so clearly not a very clean place. It's not the cozy, lively coffee shop atmosphere that a CDA location deserves.
