Hands-down the best restaurant in CDA. We are very disappointed they closed. We hope they re-open!

Loved the live music and I loved the main courses. They had some nice live blues playing when we showed up. It was a little loud and interrupted dinner conversation occasionally but was still really good. Since it was our first time here we tried an appetizer, salads, soups, and main courses. The ceviche appetizer was really good, but way too small for the price. I don't care how much showmanship goes into it, 3 crackers and a half cup of filling is not $12 in the inland NW. The Caesar salad looked to be missing the Caesar dressing, but the gumbo was really good and had a nice seasoning to it. The main course was definitely the highlight of the meal. My friend had the halibut tacos that looked disappointingly unfulfilling, but I had the encrusted halibut with rice and asparagus au gratin which made the trip worth it. The experience was good, but I just don't think I'd come back anytime soon since it was pretty pricy and a ways out of my way.

Disappointed in the service. Our waitress either forgot we were there or just ignored us most of the meal. Took quite a while to even be acknowledged and she rarely checked on us throughout the entire meal. The staff was more like what you would expect at a Chili's or some other casual dining establishment. Not high end professionals. They were out of many of the items on the menu, which I thought was odd because we were there at 7:30pm on a Friday and they were not really that busy. I doubt there was a mad rush at 5 pm. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was austere and dark. I felt like I was eating at a church social in the church basement. Not warm or inviting at all. Borderline creepy. The smell of fried fish permeated the entire restaurant. Evidently they need a better exhaust system in their kitchen. The food was acceptable, but nothing was really noteworthy. This was not a enjoyable dining experience. It's very unlikely I would return and I would certainly not recommend this to anyone.

I believe in 2nd chances....I have been given many in my lifetime. Decided to go back to The Fork for lunch Today and it was FANTABULOUS! Service Amazing and food even more so. I love when you are truly having a difficult time in deciding on your meal, tell your waiter what your thoughts are, and they describe each so you can make a decision you would be happy with. I had the Seafood Cobb and it was one of the best I have ever had.....rivals HayJ's. My husband had the 1pound of Clams and the smell alone of the sauce was intoxicating. When he asked for more grilled bread to dip in the sauce, it was brought without hesitation. Remember.....give 2nd CHANCES!!

Out of business as of February 2015. Too bad. I never tried this place. Have not stepped into the building since it was Takara

Amazing service and great food! The chef/owner came out to our table to talk to us. Great New Orleans menu items! Can't wait to see what he brings in next!

Delicious dinner! Great service from the moment we arrived and nice value in the prices for the quality of food. We started with the steamer clams, shared a greek salad then I ordered the special parmesan-crusted halibut. Perfectly cooked and seasoned and I would definitely order it again. My companion had the sea bass with mushroom risotto and it was equally divine! Portion sizes were nice and we ended up skipping dessert and enjoying our Malbec instead, and taking home enough leftovers for my breakfast. We definitely will return to the Fork!

My girlfriend and I both had the seafood cobb salad as it looked delicious on the menu. We also ordered a nice bottle of wine and the service was excellent although the live music made it a bit hard to hear each other. We both thought the salads were GREAT, with the exception on the two scallops that came on the salad, they were both over cooked (a lot). The entree's that were going out around us looked fabulous and I can't wait to go back and try more.

Excellent service! We ate there last night with some good friends. I highly recommend the sea bass with asparagus and risotto, tender and excellent! Other meals were the New Orleans and Tuna special. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

Excellent new restaurant in Coeur D'Alene! Food and service both excelled. My husband loved his chicken. I had wild salmon (substitute for sea bass). Friend had steak and another had halibut. All excellent. We will try it again tomorrow night and will report back.

I read the previous reviews and I' m shocked. Thumbs up on the service and wine. Previous reviewers must have had several glasses of wine before their meal. I had the worst Porterhouse steak ever. Both my date and I found prices greatly exceed food quality

Absolutely delicious! Fresh food, great service. Not a big selection of wine by the glass but the wine that they do have is good. We will definitely come back!

Great new addition to the Coeur d'Alene area! We took my husband's parents here for a birthday dinner and loved it. The service was excellent and everyone's main dish ranged from good to excellent. Fresh ingredients and great taste. I'd definitely recommend it as a solid date night or special occasion restaurant.

This place is great ....not only for the menu selections but for the friendly and knowledgable staff. Will and Monica are the perfect team to offer the casual ellegance experience right here in downtown CDA. Put The Fork on your list of new places to try.

Started with a glass of Matchbook Rose of Tempranillo. Refreshing. Next came the Shrimp and Spin salad. Delicious! The blackened shrimp are delicious. Had a glass of the Malbec with dinner. The Great Fork was an excellent entree. You be disappointed if you try this restaurant!

I was looking for something to eat for lunch with my family we saw the fork and since it was new we wanted to give it a try. I asked these people walking out if the food was good they said yes! So I gave it a shot. Walking in the first thing that hit me was the decor, it is very outdated and very odd. I say very odd because the random hotel decor mixed with the radio music just didn't make sense. We sat down and waited for our food for a long time surrounded by 2 tables of senior clientele. Listening to Bob Marley to sublime to Adam Levine I kept saying to myself this is such a weird place. We got our food it wasn't bad but it wasn't great like the people and prices had led on. The servers was nice but should have filled our water or asked how our food was it wasn't like they had anyone else to serve because there wasn't any other customers at the end. Probably not gonna come back.

We had dinner there mid week. They had wonderful live entertainment (guitarist/singer) for perfect background music. We shared 2 delicious appetizers (crab dip and bree) and all 4 of us ordered different entrees. The fish tacos may have been the best I've ever had... And that's saying a lot since I am from San Diego! We shared 2 desserts (huckleberry/blueberry pie and lemon cheesecake)... DELISH!!!!!!! The service was friendly and attentive and the ambiance relaxing. Come and check them out... You will NOT be disappointed.

Definitely a 5 star restaurant with excellent food and service! The chef is a culinary delight! There is a lot of food for the price! Will go back again and again. This is now my favorite restaurant!
