I came into this store last night. It had been a LONG two weeks being at the hospital with my boyfriend. He's had a long road from major surgery complications that left him with an infection, in ICU for a week, bleeding internally and more. Last night his appetite came in. He texted me saying he wanted a BLT. We come into zips regularly and everyone knew him there. They know he works with the area homeless and veterans in CDA. I ordered a "BLT" & explained to author and David what happened and what he wanted. They were great and very sympathetic to our situation!!! I ran out 2 get my money to pay (David said he'd charge me the price of a cheeseburger. I thought that seemed fair). When returning in, a short blonde woman, was chastising David the cook about the price he gave me. I could hear her clearly. Instead of a $2.49 BLT she charged me nearly $6 for it. She even took over ringing me up. She said she HAD to charge me for a big bacon cheeseburger. Except I wasn't getting any burger...Just a few slices of bacon...lettuce & tomato. She was not only unsympathetic to our financial situation (I didn't ask for a discount) at all. But she was cold about everything. And rude. And obvious about it. Uncool. I got to the hospital with his BLT and he was so upset he lost his appetite.

Old fashioned look and feel. Walked in just before 10pm on a Monday night after pizza nearby. Love the sticker/tattoo machine. Haven't seen for a while. Feels like an Idaho hangout spot.

how does one review fast food. This is the only fast food burger joint downtown. 3 out 5 stars is 60% and that is a D grade but it passes. If I ran Zips, i would try to throwback to the times when it was cool to cruise Sherman in a nice Chevy and try to create a gathering spot for the teening teens. But first you have to serve a quality product. Then you have to train young workers to execute. The latter may be hard to do, but you have to be willing to put in some time. Quality ingredients are not too difficult. Maybe their corporate hands are tied?

The service and employees were great. Not to often that you find employees that will have a conversation with customers. That's one star. The fries were pretty good, crispy and salty. Two stars. The burgers were not good at all! I would compare them to Wendy's .99 menu. My daughter asked if this is what a crabby patty would taste like! Haha. Oh, and $21 for three not so good meals. We will not be going back to Zips in the future.

Great fries & tartar with mediocre burgers for a large price.. I skip Zips & go straight on down to Hudson's .

Service was friendly. Nice gentleman working brought the keys to open the restroom for me before I even got there. ++ Cod basket: ekk. Oily, dry, and flavorless. Chicken sandwich: Pretty good. Fries: They were a bit cold, but zig-zag cut goodness. Huckleberry Lemonade: Yum! Not too sweet and not too sour.

Tried Zip's for the first time to treat a burger craving. Saw the Maui Joe on the website only to find out they don't serve it at this drive in. Oh well, second choice was the Bacon Double Cheese Burger, Fries and Onion Rings. Burger was juicy and medium with three crispy slices of bacon. Bun was nicely toasted - not a bad burger. The fries were okay, but the onion rings were better.

Stop 2 of the bachelor party. Feel the need for some ice cream in between a dinner with beers and more drinks in the hopping wild city of Couer d'Alene, Idaho on a Thursday night? Stop here and get a malt!! They make really amazing malts and you will enjoy them. You know, if you like malts and whatnot. Yeah, that's all I've got right now. Deal with it!

I only gave this 2-stars because every other Zips I've been to was so much better in every way: the service faster, restaurant cleaner and food not so hastily thrown together. While the food is awesome (there's no better french fries in town), the fact that I had to wait 10 minutes in the drive-thru knocked them down a few notches. Either way, be sure to get the fry sauce.

I'm not much of a milk shake fan, I have to say, way yummy butterscotch milk shake and very good huckleberry shake! I was surprised. Girl behind the counter was nice and friendly... place was a little dingy, not at all cozy, etc.

In and out under 5 min. burger, drink, and fries for under 5 bucks. friendly service. It doesn't get any better than the downtown CDA zips.

Went here twice when I needed something fast and easy. Prefer this far more than McDonalds, Jack in the Box, or Taco Bell. Everything I ate here was very good.

I leave 1 star for the worst... we ate here and found hair cooked into our burger... we told them... we didn't even want our money back... they laughed at us and said "what food doesn't have hair in it... we have two hairy guys cooking!" i threw all our food away and wont be back.

Coming from the land of big chain fast food (McD's, Taco Bell, et al) I like to see a local chain of yummy fast food. Tired and wanting some decent fast food, my friend directed us to Zip's. Love the chicken sandwich with jalapeno ranch (and cheap too, last time it was $1.49!) and the cross (criss?) cuts. Oh and don't forget a healthy helping of fry sauce (I've never had fry sauce prior to coming to Idaho). Someday I'm going to try a milkshake... Oh and extra kudos to the Post Falls location for being the one place close to our hotel that was actually open during the nasty snowstorm! Thanks to you guys we didnt starve!

Now I know what a stomped on burger really looks like. Smashed, mis-shapen, leaking and cold. I gave it two stars because at least my daughters meal was warm. Terribly greasy -guess I haven't eaten at a zips in a while. Wish I would have skipped lunch.

A nice alternative to the chain drive-ups that we are all used to. The grilled chicken sandwich was good and the service was good. Nice simple place to eat
