Been going to the Hamburger Connection for over 20 years. And I had to drive over 900 miles from Phoenix to visit them this time. The only thing that changed was that the fry sauce now comes in little packets. Love their mile high shakes, hot dogs, burgers, tater tots and more. And by the way, this little place had a line of cars about 6 deep going through the drive-through because they are way better than the name-brand franchise across the street.

They have the best hot dogs! You have to try it! My cousin came down from California, and we took her to the Connections and ordered the hot dog for her and she fell in love with it. She always talks about it every time I bring up about hot dogs. She wants me to send her one all the time, but unfortunately I do not send it to her. Lol. But, I love their chocolate with banana shake. They are the best! Love their sauce, that's their secret of great food.

Great little local burger joint! The burgers are great tasting with a wide selection to choose from and thier pumpkin pie shakes are PHENOMENAL. Even at 12:30 on a weekday I always get fast and friendly service and they give out big milk bones if you have a pooch in tow! Of course I have order a burger for the mutt as well.

This small hamburger joint is one you shouldn't miss when in Caldwell. My favorite things here in order of most fav to least. 1. Mile High milkshakes. -The banana one is excellent! 2. The Fry sauce. Yes this comes before the fries it is just that good! I must know your recipe!!! 3. The tots. Don't mess with the fries just go straight for the tots and make sure to add extra fry sauce (see #2) 4. The Connection special. I don't eat beef anymore... but this burger will make me eat beef any day. In summary, Yummy Yummy!

Love the banana milkshakes and the hamburgers are great too. This is our families favorite hamburger place in Caldwell.

Little home town drive thru! This is a must if your in the area. Little mom and pop place that is not the fastest in fast food. But all food is cooked to order. I'll take a few minute wait for hot fresh food anytime! The burgers are not huge but are tasty! The frys and tots are good as well just Don't get alot. Is it a good idea to go large. But the reason to not miss this little hard gem is for the shacks! Lots of flavors and they are truly Awesome!

We stopped by here for dinner before a concert in the park. The French fries were hot, the cheeseburger was juicy & the bun was perfect. The best part of the experience was the Apple Pie milkshake. I may have to drive out from Boise again just for the milkshake. The staff was friendly & the restaurant seemed very clean.

What a delicious place to stop playing on the way through Caldwell! The burgers are delicious and have a mildly smoky bbq burger sauce that provides a unique flavor. The fry sauce is absolutely fantastic and a must have for the tots. Be sure to save room for ice cream - the Mile High shakes are too thick for a straw, but that's a good thing. There are plenty of fruit and candy flavors to choose from and you can't go wrong.

I love the Connection Special with a scotch and soda. The fry sauce is amazing, and you won't find a cleaner restaurant around.

We drive in from Boise ALL THE TIME! Their fry sauce, oh my god their fry sauce! *swoon*. It's so good. I think I've cracked the code of what it is made of. . But the one I make will still never be as good or addicting. Their customer service is always pleasant and service is fast. My husband brought be there, after we moved here from another state, because he had fond memories of it as a boy. I now know why. Our boys are fourth generation customers and that's kinda cool.

This place is quite good, but I'm just passing through there are a few things I wish I'd known: 1. You can't eat in. There are a couple picnic tables outside, but I don't know what people do in the winter. 2. They don't put ketchup and mustard on the burger by default, and it's not sitting out to add yourself. Ask for it when you order. 3. Regular "fry sauce" is weird enough (sorry, locals), but this isn't that and it's not even in the same family. I have no idea what's in there (mustard?). But that's what they give you with your fries. Along with salt, because they're unsalted, but no ketchup. 4. The mile high comes are not named for the elevation of the locale, but how freaking high they pile ice cream on. I watched someone eat a small cone, which was a feat of dexterity and speed; I can't even imagine the large cone. (I had a shake, which was excellent and not too big. The array of flavors was pretty impressive, too.)

Probably some of the worst food I've tasted in a while. Fries tasted like they were fried in old oil, they had nasty flavor and no salt. Burgers were even worse, No Jalapeños not even if you wanted them as an extra, No tomatoes and fri sauce was the worst I've ever tasted. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!! Sorry to have to be so blunt, but it was pretty bad!!

Go to place when we are in the mood for a burger! Connection special with bacon, fries and a shake! The kids enjoy the chicken strips. Love the drive thru or walk up set up. The staff has always been friendly and we have been going here for years!

Love their root beer malts!

Awesome chocolate shake! Burger was tasty, as were the onion rings with fry sauce. I'm definitely going to go back and try more stuff!

After reading the reviews I was really excited to try this place. However I was extremely disappointed. Unsalted fries, mediocre burger, slow service and the milkshake wasn't blended enough to distribute the candy through the whole thing.
