This place was amazing, It feels like you're in a real European shop. The food was incredibly good, I had the "All Polish Burger" it was the best sandwich I've ever had, by far. It's real authentic European food. The owners seem quite nice, it's as if you're in their dining room. Also, they're from Poland, which Is cool.

This is a funky little mom and pop deli that serves a limited supper menu on Friday and Saturday. Tonight was Austria (not the place with the kangaroos) night. The first course was lentil and sausage soup, the main course was a pounded pork cutlet aka schnitzel with Ligon berry gravy and roasted potatoes. The schnitzel and potatoes were cooked and spiced perfectly. The apricots and cream OMG to die for. Supper was $26 each plus a $23 bottle of wine plus tip puts us out the door at $100. Any boisean that doesn't try out Tres Bonnes is nuts!

Very cool little restaurant. My boyfriend and I stopped in for the Romanian theme dinner. Everything was delicious, especially the Romanian merlot that the owners suggested. The stuffed cabbage as well as Transylvanian stew were great! The portions were big, and both of us got full quickly. The owner is a talker, so be prepared to be social! I'd like to come back and check out the wine selection.

I like this place although I forget about it all the time. It's kind of tucked away in an obscure location. The setting is like a small grocery store with a small deli / restaurant in it. There are lots of food stuffs & beers from central & eastern Europe. They serve light fare lunches and have themed dinners on Friday & Saturday. I think this is not a well known place for whatever reason. Most people I've met there didn't know it existed and were pleased to "discover" it.

We tried the Hungarian themed dinner Friday night, and I can't wait to go back. It feels like you're eating dinner at a friend's house. The staff is friendly and justifiably gave me a hard time for dropping my silverware a couple times during the meal. The portions for the main course were larger than expected. The menu is decided ahead of time for the themed meal, so choices are limited for individuals with food allergies/dietary restrictions etc.. The lentil soup was laden with pork. The salad was adequate, but the schnitzel and Hungarian noodle cake (who knew that existed?) were delicious. Their beer and wine selection make it even more appealing to just stop by.

I feel so lucky to live within walking distance of this small restaurant slash wine and beer shop slash european deli. It's such a fun environment and the Friday/Saturday night prix fixe dinners are amazing. This weekend was German night, and it was stunning. Add to that a beer and wine list that's something like thirty pages long, an atmosphere where you talk to both the proprietors and the guests at neighboring tables, and a relaxed pace, and there's nowhere I'd rather be on date night. Yay! p.s. they also have Thursday evening wine and beer tastings, which I haven't attended yet, but you can bet I will be doing so in the future.
