I stopped by again with a friend recently. It was at about 7:30pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant was clean and there were open tables. I ordered the Classic Smash Burger, Smash fries, and a Butterfinger shake. I really enjoyed the burger and milkshake, but wish I had gotten the regular fries. The seasoning on the fries was a little too strong for me so I didn't eat them all. (Don't worry, my friend finished them off happily.) Last time I ordered the chocolate shake and wasn't impressed. The Butterfinger shake I got this time was delicious.

I have been to Smashburger a few times and generally its has been ok, however after not going for a good year, they have gotten so much worse. The food is completely greasy, and my burger was dripping excessively with grease- it tasted like they pulled it out of the bottom of the frier and SMASHED it on the bun. The fries were also covered in grease and I had to dry them up with a big wad of napkins. The meat itself is high quality, but for the price of that and fries is overpriced. Other then the rosemary sprinkled on top, they are the still the cheapo highly manufactured variety you know comes frozen in a huge bag. I thought it might of been just an issue with the Boise location so I tried the one in Meridian--which was just as greasy.

Great burgers with toasted buns. Smash fries are shoestring style with Rosemary seasoning. I ordered the bacon bbq cheddar burger. It had little thin crispy bits of onion rings. I enjoyed every bite! If you haven't tried these burgers you should!

Not a place I'd go to with any real consistency. But if I happen to be around the Towne Square or the surrounding business district on Milwaukee or Franklin and am hurtin' for a burger, then this may be at the top of the list. I'm not quite sure what the point is in smashing the meat on the grill that gives the company its name, but for a chain I think these burgers are above average. You get your option of 1/3 lb. or 1/2 lb. patties, and it'll run you $5-$7, which admittedly I find a little high for fast food. The kicker for me here is that they're at least open to the possibility of leaving the meat a little pink on the inside if you ask. They don't WANT to do it, but they will provided you demand it and you don't sue them (that's what the guy actually said to me). Gotta love that American corporate paranoia. But leaving it a little rare makes a heap of difference to me on the taste front, and the Angus beef here ain't too bad. And if any corporate goons read this and clamp down on them about it, then screw you. For fries, the sweet potato fries are the way to go. However I wish they would have a fry sauce solely for sweet potato fries that accentuates the sweetness of the potato (like Westside Drive In does), because regular fry sauce and ketchup just don't work. The Smashfries, garlic fries that were my main motivation for coming here, were a disappointment. Do they even put minced garlic on the fries or are they just sprinkled with garlic powder? Because I didn't see any garlic chunks on my order, and there was next-to-no garlic kick to them. Pretty weak. I also don't like that they charge a buck more for fries or any other side if you don't get a burger. The amount of fries I got was pretty paltry as it is, especially compared to places like Five Guys and Bad Boy. But tacking on an extra buck for a little mound of fries just to eat only fries is simply not good value. They use Häagen-Dazs ice cream for their shakes. I opted for the local and Häagen-Dazs-free angle and went with their huckleberry shake, which had a combination of frozen huckleberries and blueberries. Props to them for offering up something a little different. No offense to Danger M., but this place doesn't remind me of In-N-Out at all. The style of the fries are the same (shoestring), but the ones here are prepackaged. I do like the customer service. The women there aren't traditional waitresses, but they have to both take orders at the register and serve/bus tables. The ones I've had have been friendly and personable and will stop by to chitchat if the both of you are inclined to. I should've given one my phone number while I had the chance, and it's pretty uncommon for me to do that (I won't "out" her by name, but we share a similar appreciation for The Dutch Goose). So bravo Smashburger! And like Five Guys, an employee barks out unintelligible phrases in a baritone voice from time to time. AND..........for you Mello Yello diehards, it's available here!

Great burger place. The staff is really nice and clean up after you. My favorite burger is "The Bronco". It has hot sauce and blue cheese. What a great combination!

Shithot burger. Ordered the Bronco in the Big size... deliciousness all the way around. Also had the Smash Fries and as I had read on another post... they could have had a higher temp on arrivak... that said... excellent t shoestring cut and rosemary too.... yumm! Only real downside (timing perhaps) is that I'm not a huge fan (nor a hater) of Coors Beer. But a beer sounded good so I had one as it was the only thing avail.... like I said.. not a Coors hater... had it been Bud... I would have skipped it... Also, great, friendly and helpful staff. Cooks knocked my meal out in quick order.... digging that as well. I'll definitely come here again and will recommend highly to others.

Lots of good reviews prompted me to bring my son here. The food was good and served with a tinge of "attitude" from the manager. Hey, guess what? Im ordered a fucking hamburger not a new Gucci hand bag. .....Probably having a bad day. Nothing special about this place, however my son loved it so we may have to return to avoid mutiny.

Lets just say I'm not going back here ever. First off, the girl that took our order was rather rude, which I can get over. Now the burger it's self was just not very tasty. For the price I was expecting something nice and juicy and flavor. Also I thought it would be a decent size for the price. Instead I got a burger that was around the size of a quarter pounder, overcooked, dry, and just lacking in flavor. All I could really taste was the seasoning (which taste to just be pepper) not the meat. The tomatoes were SO under ripe, the were mostly yellow. They forgot the cheese on all our burgers. Just disappointed all around here. Don't bother

They make the best chocolate malt shakes, they beat Sonic and Dairy Queen hands down.

I love the Bronco Burger. The salty, yet creamy blue cheese balances the vinegar in the Frank's Red Hot sauce. It is an excellent combination for a burger. The fries I had were little on the oily side, but the salt levels were right and the rosemary added a nice herbal note.

My First time at Smashburger, and will be returning! (Husband already tried) The food is delicious and it took less than 5 minutes to get to us with 7 other people in line! The staff was very friendly, accommodating and attentive. There is a reason they are very busy...Hot fresh and yummy..... you can even dine on the patio, they still make it an experience.

Here it is! The long awaited update to my review, I filled out the survey and was hoping to hear from corporate..but I never did. It pains me to give one of my favorite burger joints such a drop in ranking but my experience was awful. I came in for a visit on labor day and it was normal traffic for a lunch hour, had my heart set on a scrumptious buttery smashed bbq bacon cheddar burger and those smash fries. After I put my order in I went to my table and wiped it off as it was still covered in crumbs and salt. After my food comes I take a giant bite and realize it did not taste normal, it was dryer than usual and overcooked needing more sauce. Luckily for me I spotted a big glob on the booth a few feet away from me, I must say it was tempting to add it to my dry burger but I resisted. (Eww) What is usually a sure thing for me SMASH FRIES were actually luke warm, they also tasted like oil. I let my waitress know and she took them back and in 2 mins I had new ones fresh from the fryer. I was anxious to try them so I grabbed a few and gobbled them up! Again these were hot but soaked in oil and the saddest part of all is they were crispy to the point of having no flavor at all. For a second I felt like I was at KFC, I could tell these fries were fried, sat out, and were refried.(to heat them up) A manager came out and I grabbed the fries showing him how crisp they were, are they fries or am I snapping in to a Twix? My next batch came out they were hot and fresh made yet still seemed very subtle with the garlic and rosemary seasoning. I gave up at that point, I ate my burger and fries, even staying to hit up the online survey. This place has huge cleanliness and quality issues as of lately, I will be back and hope for a better visit.

So so so so so so so so so good. Never had a crispy chicken breast thy size that juicy that well crisped. And the burgers are just as well. The paired condiments selections are head nodders for sure. Not to thrilled with the shoe string fries tho. Burgers that bossy need complimentary fries. But they were fresh, skin on, and tasty none the less

I've come here a few times now. And I expect nothing less than delicious quality food from them. I've got a fairly usual order. Lettuce, tomato, pickle, Chipotle sauce with guacamole and fresh jalapeños on a Chipotle bun with buffalo fries. I love the "shoestring" style of them. Crispy with moderate crunch. I arrived there today near the end of the lunch rush so I was impressed by the speedy service at which I recieved my meal. However I was let down when I went to add a little salt to the fresh jalapeños to give them an extra kick just to find the shaker was empty. Being in a rush I grabbed another shaker from a vacant table nearby. Other than that the service was excellent and the food was superbly delicious. Keep up the great work smashburger. Please don't forget to check the shakers for adequate amounts of salt and pepper. I'll be in again.

I've been here a few times and am always impressed. Delicious food and great service. Today I ended up here just before 1pm and certainly did not beat the lunch crowd. The place was packed and there was a line nearly out the door to order. They were CLEARLY understaffed. While only 75% of the tables were full (plus more outside), all of them were still dirty. I had to wait at least 5 minutes (after waiting nearly 10 minutes to order) before a table for cleaned. Now I want to make sure it's clear that I love the service here, every experience has been positive. I knowingly equate the understaffed issue to management. Maybe someone called in sick/it was a fluke, because I sure hope they don't always make their employees work so hard! Aside from that, the food is stellar. The Smash Fries are some of my favorites anywhere. And I always go with the grilled chicken, it's so good! I'll definitely be trying a milkshake sometime soon....

Earlier this week, the Meridian Smashburger hosted a tasting party for Yelp members. Quarter-cut slices of seven different beef and chicken burgers were brought out over the course of the evening, along with a salad and potato fries, sweet potato fries, flash-fried green beens and carrots, fried pickles and Haystack onions. Everything was provided free of charge. I was impressed with the flavors, the quality of the food and the friendly service. Today, I went to the Boise store on my own dime to see how things compared. I was just as impressed. I ordered the Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger -- my favorite from the tasting menu -- Smash fries (with olive oil, garlic and rosemary drizzled over them) and a pop. The slight char on the burger brings out extra flavor without tasting burned. The soft egg bun is fantastic. I don't completely care for the shoestring fries used in the Smash fries, I'd rather have them a bit more substantial, but I still enjoyed them.

They make the a very good burger here. I had the one with bbq sauce and onion ring and cheddar cheese. It was excellent! I am new to the area and have already been here twice. The restaurant is very clean and the servers are very friendly and welcoming. I will be back every chance I get!

Let's assume 5 stars to begin with. Told the cashier this is my first time at a smash burger. I ordered my burger from the premade burger menu which the picture showed as including tomato, lettuce and other "fillers". I ordered the big burger. I got a bun, thin patty, cheese, mushrooms, and mayo. I didn't know I had to order the fillers - I've never been here before. Ya think the cashier would've said something. (minus 1 ) The cashier did recommend the smash fries so I got them. The seasoning flavor wasn't bad but I'm not impressed. The fries were chewy and tiny. Obviously frozen fries. I paid for a large, I don't think I got a large. (minus 1 ) The fountain drink selection is good unless you're diabetic. 2 sugar free out of 11 choices. Not really worth losing a over but the place had messy floors and the trash in the men's room was overflowing. Add those up and (minus 1 ) I won't be back. If I want a 5 burger I'll go to 5 guys!

Ahh the hamburger, a culinary mystery wrapped in an enigma and folded into a bakery fresh bun. Ok... so it isn't quite THAT complicated, but it can be! This humble staple of American cuisine is so simple on the surface, but so many places get it so, so wrong. Thankfully Smashburger is NOT one of those places. We actually "fell in love" with Smashburger when we first visited the Boise area almost four years ago............. and then we moved someplace with NO Smashburger at all! Silly us. Now we're back in Boise for good and this Franklin location is just a quick drive from our house, so it has become our "go to" spot when that burger craving hits. In my opinion, Smashburger is the best "quick service" burger there is. It's definitely more pricey than your straight "fast food" options like Wendy's or Carl's Jr. but you also definitely get what you pay for. The extra couple of bucks is easily worth it in terms of the improved quality. They have a selection of burgers with a wide variety of toppings (BBQ Bacon is my favorite, but the Bronco with hot sauce and bleu cheese is good too.) But if none of those suit you, you can mix and match toppings to your heart's content to make your "perfect" burger, although "premium" toppings like mushrooms and bacon will cost you extra. The burgers themselves are about as perfect as you can get in this setting, never had a bad one. The only reason I have to knock off a star is that on several occasions, by sides have been terribly oversalted, almost to the point of being inedible... and that's unfortunate because their selection of fries and such is generally very good. I like their regular Smashfries with rosemary and olive oil. The sweet potatoes fries are good, as are the haystack onions. But when they are so salty you can hardly taste anything else... it not only ruins the fries, but your burger too as your palate is completely "burned out" by salt. So if I could pass on one suggestion............ easy on the salt shaker guys! Aside from that everything else about Smashburger is excellent. Their customer service is great. I came in once just twenty minutes before closing and they were just as happy to help me as if I had walked in during prime time. Oh and get a shake too. Oreo shake, peanut butter and jelly shake, or huckleberry when they are in season... all are great. Basically you can't go wrong with much at Smashburger. Just ask them to lay off the salt a little!

This location is great! Good amount of seating, EXCELLENT staff that is very friendly and knowledgeable, great tasting food, and just all-around good atmosphere. Would recommend if you have a few minutes to sit and enjoy your food (all you really need is a few minutes, the service is pretty speedy) or if you want to take it to go (too bad there isn't a drive through). My only negative is that it was a bit chilly at times but overall a good experience.

I seriously don't see what all of the hype is about. Granted, I missed the launch event (which would have netted me free food and beer), but as a paying customer I was a little underwhelmed. The burger I got was just fine. But I don't think it was better than Five Guys and certainly not better than Bad Boy. The fries were so tiny that you couldn't scoop up ketchup with them. The manager on-duty had to keep yelling at the kitchen to get our fries and various items; as a result, I didn't receive my well done fries. I don't think it would have changed my opinion much. Wifey got the smash fries, which were also unimpressive. Couldn't taste olive oil or parmesan, but the fries were totally overwhelmed by rosemary. The one saving grace was the Oreo milkshake my wife got. That thing was too legit to quit. If not for the shake, I might've two-starred this place. It's seriously not bad, but I don't at all understand the four reviews prior to mine. Try Barrelhouse, Bad Boy or Big Judd's, if you want a truly good burger with personality. I don't get what people see in chain burger joints. ETA: After reading more Yelp reviews, I'm updating my review. I feel cheated, or maybe I just have higher burger standards. Most folks talk about receiving a big, hot, juicy, tasty burger. Well, my patty was not hot, nor juicy. In fact, it was overcooked. The char was pretty much all you could taste. The patty was small, considering I paid for the large burger. Maybe it was just one bad experience, and everyone else had a great one, but I can't review a hypothetical delicious burger. Mine was sub par. There, now I feel better.

First time at a smash burger and we were not disappointed. I had the Smash Classic, large, on the egg bun. Excellent burger, good flavor, cooked just right. My daughter built her own burger - BBQ sauce, American Cheese and bacon. She loved it. We shared a large Smash Fries - great flavor and the large is plenty to share. For us, this has been the best burger in town. Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

I'm not a burger fan, mostly because I just prefer other food, but I love this place. As the other reviews have said, the burgers taste very fresh and aren't greasy. I'm very fond of their black bean burger, and you can choose several different kinds of buns and toppings to have any kind of patty. The server told me that you can customize and add/take off anything you want, and all of their toppings are free. You must try the sweet potato fries, they make them just crispy enough on the outside and soft on the inside. The shakes are good too, not so thick you can't drink them through a straw. The place is clean, staff is friendly and the area is comfortable.

I guess it's called Smashburger cause they press the burger patties while cooking on the grill. I had the bacon cheese burger and it was a juicy with a lot of flavor. They have real ice cream shakes. The smash fries are good with the rosemary taste, but a little too salty for my taste.

Amanda C.
Been here a few times & the burgers are quite tasty. I've done the build your own each time, so can't comment on the ones actually on the menu. Shakes are quite filling so I wouldn't get a large unless sharing. Smash burger is a style of cooking the burger that locks in the juicy goodness & flavor, and this restaurant does that well. Gotten great service from the staff & have only expericenced one mistake, which was remedied so quickly my husband barely had time to comment on it.

Smashburger was the 7th stop on our Burgerpalooza tour (a quest for the best effing burger in B-town). Our group of burger enthusiasts was 14 strong this go round (happy to see some new Yelpy faces in the mix!). We gave this place an average of 3.85 stars, which, obviously, I rounded up to 4. Each member filled out a scorecard (some will also Yelp it--but we find if we immediately fill out score cards, it helps spark debate!). Smashburger scored highest in the categories of Quality and Freshness. Our group appreciated the quality ingredients that go into a Smashburger. The veggies are fresh. They use fresh, never frozen (Alleluia!!) beef. The beef is of high quality (juicy deliciousness, not overly fatty). Other things we loved: Having the option to add rosemary and garlic to your fries! The fact that they serve beer! The overall atmosphere of the place is nicer than your usual fast food burger joint. What sparked debate: Their buns are a little different. You have your choice of three different styles of artisan buns (classic egg, spicy chipotle, or multi-grain--OR you can opt for lettuce). Most of our group opted for the classic egg, which some found superior to other, more typical style buns, while others found them inferior. It seemed to be an either you really like it or you really don't sort of thing. The fries also sparked a little debate. They are VERY thin shoe string style. They are so thin that even one of the participants who prefers shoestring style, thought they were a skosh too skinny. There was also some complaint/debate about the saltiness of the burgers. Overall, however, our impression of the place was positive. The service we received was friendly and efficient. And, the fact that we were able to string together enough tables to accommodate our group of 14 was much appreciated! A solid 4 star experience!

Pretty damn good burgers! A solid four stars. We went here with a group of 14 people (one of the stops on our burger-palooza). Almost all agreed this place serves above average burgers. I was impressed with the option to have a beer (they offer several bottled beers) with my burger. I also appreciated the freshly formed patty, much tastier than a burger that's been preformed in some meat factory somewhere and then frozen for a month or so before it makes it's way into my mouth. I was not impressed with the shoestring fries, but that's just a personal thing (I prefer bigger steak fries). I did however like the flavor of the rosemary seasoning on the fries, yummy. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to send someone to Smashburger.

I had a wonderful experience on my first visit to Smashburger. Gabby who I saw later on her name tag was the shift leader was extremely helpful for me as a first time guest. She gave me plenty of options and I eventually settled on the club with avocado which was amazing. She then learned that I was traveling to Boise from the Midwest and she came by my table and asked me how I liked the Smashburger and told me there were two locations near me (after she looked on the internet). I don't know too many people in a fast casual business who would take the time to actually look on the internet for a location near me so I was extremely impressed.

We used two $2 off coupons and our total was $14.58 I ordered the chicken club sandwich normally $6.99... It was sooo good! Better than 90% of the chicken sandwiches I have tried in the valley! I did add onions :) the bun was delish, the chicken was succulent moist with a slight buttery flavor, lettuce, tomato, perfectly crisp bacon, perfectly ripe avocado!!! Soooo good! I was sad when I finished! My husband ordered the classic smash, he liked it said it was tender and had good flavor! He also added "the bun was nice" He also mentioned fries (which are shoe string style) are good just came out a little cold. Service= accommodating, friendly/relaxed, & quick! Drinks= shakes, beer, soft drinks, 3 types of teas! Only complaint cut lemons weren't cold so I passed! I'm also pregnant and am abstaining from caffeine so I was sad there is no root beer which had been sounding amazing. Also I like to dilute my pop with plain soda water but there soft drink machine doesn't have that option! Overall so so glad we came here for dinner!!! I also like the modern feel!

As chains go Smash Burger is the best. We love their burgers! The buns they use are the best I've had on a burger in Boise. Smash fries are really yummy, too. Their restaurant is always clean and you won't break the bank eating here. Their staff is always helpful and friendly. Have not had a bad experience yet. Keep an eye out and you'll find coupons out there as well.

Come here fairly regularly and I've never had any kind of problem at all. Things are a bit more expensive then I would prefer but the food quality is excellent enough to justify it. Their burgers in particular are excellent and I would highly recommend the smash fries if you're not on a diet.

Best burgers in the Treasure Valley. And love the Sweet Potato fries. My only complaint is that they no longer serve wine, but at least they still have beer :D

The smashfries are amazing! And there is nothing wrong with the burgers either. The signature smashfries are seasoned with rosemary and cut shoestring style so they are very crispy and flavorful! Possibly some if the best fries I've ever had. The burger was above average, but nothing to rave about. I expected there to be more (and more creative) burger choices on the menu, but again, still very tasty.

Smash Burger is just one of those great burger joints my friend introduced me to when I moved to Boise this past July. It's relatively cheap for a burger, fries and drink. Their milkshakes are simply amazing. They have the right amount of chocolate and smoothness. The grilled chicken burger is by far my favorite thing to order. The smash fries are in olive oil, rosemary and other delicious flavors. Great place for a quick lunch or to go easy dinner. Highly recommend.

I've been to this Smash Burger twice. And I have been highly disappointed each time. Here are my accounts. The first time was with some friends, we had a patio seat in the shade and got some beers and ordered some burgers and fries. They were quick no doubt, but I took a huge bite of mine and they had left the paper from the cheese or meat on my burger. So I took a huge bite into some nice disgusting butcher paper. I took it back and they suggested "Well it was most likely the paper on the cheese so you can just pull it of and it'll be okay". I was very bothered by this and insisted that "It's only a burger and you can remake it". After waiting for about 15 minutes they bring me out my burger paper free and I ended up having to just take it to go because everyone I was with was leaving. Mind you this wasn't enough for me to swear this place off forever. Mistakes can be made so I forgave it. I work literally right next to this place so my second visit was on my 30 minute lunch. Took me less than a minute to get there and ordered a basic smash burger. I sat down and patiently waited. 15 minutes go buy but I wait a little longer. The last time I was here that's about how long I waited. I started noticing everyone who came in after was leaving with their food. I jump back in line and wait. Wait, Wait, Wait. It has now been 25 minutes and I have to be back at work in five minutes, not even enough time to eat it. I figure oh well they obviously didn't make the burger so I'll just ask for my money back. I get to the register and present my receipt and show him the time it was ordered and explained I was on lunch and it was now over and I just want my money back. After discussing it with some oblivious half-witted burger flipper he comes back out and tells me that "well your burger was made but it looks like we cannot find it" I asked them why my name wasn't called, to which he replies "Well, I don't know. But you'll wait a few more minutes we'll get you your burger". Trying to be calm, I explain again that I cannot wait and I have to be back to my work in literally 2 minutes. Then the burger boy comes running out exclaiming "I found it, I found it." At this point if am fucking blind with annoyance and just tell them I want my money back. He tells me that he is unable to refund it because they already made the food and his manager wouldn't be allowed to refund me, and presented my now 20 minute old burger to me. In a fit of rage I slam it in the trash can and leave. Not only is the service ridiculous but they tend to fuck up the food often. I wouldn't go here. I'll stick with 5 guys, at least they can manage a simple burger order.

So many people seem to love this place, but it is nothing special. They must use a meat with a very high percent of fat. The half-pound burger I received was smaller than the 6oz burgers I make at home. It was very thin. As some described, they are a bit greasy - pan-fried in the kitchen and not grilled. The shake was by far the best part of my meal. I can think of plenty of places that serve better burgers. Will I return? Maybe. The food certainly arrived quickly, and the service was fast and friendly.

Smashburger...how you've let me down. I used to stop by at least once a week for a phenomenal grilled cheese and crispy fries. A few months ago, the grilled cheese was nixed from the menu and the fries were changed. They're more of a narrow shoestring fry than they used to be. I love that they have Dr Pepper that actually tastes like Dr Pepper there, and the service is always good by Sarah...but I just don't go there anymore. Bring back the grilled cheese!

This is hands down the best place in the city for a burger. Yes, I said it. Five Guys can't even hold a candle to Smashburger. Five Guy's uses little more than Kraft singles on their burgers, whereas Smashburger uses REAL cheese. The menu here is varied and has all sorts of clever ideas, such as a burger all ready adorned with potato chips. My latest trip there was greeted with a Bronco Burger, a bleu cheese burger with Frank's Red Hot Sauce. I was appreciative of both the clever name and fantastic flavors. The fries are equally impressive. Their sweet potato fries set a high standard for fries in this city and at a great price. The seasonings really help to draw out the natural flavor of the potato. This is my favorite place in Boise to get a burger. Cross-posted from the Meridian location.

I was not prepared to like Smashburger. Why? Because it's not only a corporate-envisioned burger joint (owned by the same parent company as Quiznos) but also because it's fast casual and in my opinion, burgers are best either served up slow - or at a greasy take-out window. But I was traveling through Boise and figured "what the heck" and needed a fast meal. It's a good thing that my stereotyping is flexible... because it would have missed out on an amazing burger. The burgers definitely have a fresh, not frozen taste. That's good since that's one of the selling points of Smashburger. I liked that the ingredients I selected seemed to be in perfect proportion to the burger I selected, but also to each other (nothing is worse than a bad condiment-to-topping ratio!) You can select not only burgers but also chicken (grilled or fried) and salads. They have suggested burgers but anything can be customized which seems the way to go if you know how you like your burgers. The real selling point for me, however, were the sweet potato fries. Holy smokes... those are the best fries (of any kind) that I have ever put in my mouth. Like so good that a day later, I'm still craving them. It's a good thing that Smashburger just opened in my hometown. Or maybe a bad thing... check my cholesterol in a month as I have a feeling I will be sneaking back for those fries and to try a few other menu items that caught my eye.

I don't often eat at burger joints. Occasionally In/Out. I was amazed at how good this burger was.I had the Avocado Club Burger. It was busy at 500pm ,but took maybe 15 min. High quality beef. Whole grain roll. It was very tasty and juicy. The rosemary fries were very good. I'd prefer thicker cut fries, but no big deal. I may have to stop in one more time before going home to Alaska, and try sweet potato fries.

Great burgers, grilled chicken and fries. Staff is hit or miss. Some friendly, others robotic and could care less.

These burgers are the best fast food burgers we have ever had. Fresh, flavorful, tastes like a real backyard burger! Loved the onions and shakes (made with Haagen Das!).

It's great. Have been several times, and had a great burger each time. Love the different choices of burgers. Can either get as a burgers or grilled chicken. Always get their Haystack Onion Rings. Love them. Something for everyone. You will not be disappointed. Place is always clean, the food has been consistent.

This place has the best fast food style burgers I've had in Boise. The burger itself is juicy and full of fresh veggies! They have a great variety of toppings and bread choices. Their fries are good too but their veggie fries are great! Always friendly service and well worth the price! Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Darn good burgers, especially for a chain. They're topped with crisp, fresh vegetables, good pickles, and the patties are juicy and have just the right amount of crust. We also really like their unusual, skinny fries. It's worth the extra expense and calories to get "Smash fries" tossed in olive oil and rosemary. They're fantastic and unlike anything you'll find in other burger joints. We were disappointed to learn they recently stopped offering fry sauce. Hopefully they'll consider bringing it back. Parking next to the actual restaurant is limited, but there is plenty of parking behind it in the large lot that serves the huge, several-block, Sportsman's Warehouse strip mall.

At Smashburger tonight for the first time. Thought it would be super expensive but was about $20 for 2 people. Had a BBQ Bacon Burger 1/2 pound and it was AWESOME!!! Sweet Potato Fries were amazing!!! I'll be back...SOON!!!

really good burger and fries (rosemary garlic, olive oil, yum). total cost with a drink is around 10 bucks. if you are familiar with in 'n' out, i would say this place is comparable without the cult following. my friend said their salads were really good, but i dont really eat vegetables at a burger joint other than fries :P i wouldnt be a regular here, or make the drive just to go to smashburger, but if i am in the area and want to have 1000+ calories ill probably come here.

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States.

(3)James T.
Great burger place. The staff is really nice and clean up after you. My favorite burger is "The Bronco". It has hot sauce and blue cheese. What a great combination!
(5)Roy B.

(2)Ange L.
(2)Steve S.
They make the best chocolate malt shakes, they beat Sonic and Dairy Queen hands down.
(5)Frank A.
I love the Bronco Burger. The salty, yet creamy blue cheese balances the vinegar in the Frank's Red Hot sauce. It is an excellent combination for a burger. The fries I had were little on the oily side, but the salt levels were right and the rosemary added a nice herbal note.
(4)Mercedes C.

(5)Allen C.
(4)Kristina M.

(5)Beverly D.
They make the a very good burger here. I had the one with bbq sauce and onion ring and cheddar cheese. It was excellent! I am new to the area and have already been here twice. The restaurant is very clean and the servers are very friendly and welcoming. I will be back every chance I get!
(4)Julian L.
Good flavorful product. Plenty of menu choices for all. Excellent service!!! Attentive and HAPPY. Congrats to management who must being doing something right. Five stars!
(5)Ben L.
(2)Chris S.
(4)Kevin G.
(4)Justin H.
(3)Frank M.
(5)Danica W.
(4)Michael K.
I guess it's called Smashburger cause they press the burger patties while cooking on the grill. I had the bacon cheese burger and it was a juicy with a lot of flavor. They have real ice cream shakes. The smash fries are good with the rosemary taste, but a little too salty for my taste.
(4)Amanda C.
(4)Ophelia M.
(4)Kathryn C.
Typical smash burger deliciousness. This location was very clean and the staff were very helpful. It was a great mid-shopping snack.
(4)Chris O.
(4)Chris B.
(5)Rachel Z.
(4)Reid C.
(5)Jaws S.
Good meaty juicy burger. Nuff said there. Try the haystack fries, those kick butt.
(4)Zach A.
Come here fairly regularly and I've never had any kind of problem at all. Things are a bit more expensive then I would prefer but the food quality is excellent enough to justify it. Their burgers in particular are excellent and I would highly recommend the smash fries if you're not on a diet.
(5)Jessica C.
Best burgers in the Treasure Valley. And love the Sweet Potato fries. My only complaint is that they no longer serve wine, but at least they still have beer :D
(5)Jill P.
(4)Nora B.
(4)M W.
Small update... they no longer have fry sauce. Insert sad face here.
(4)Jesse D.
Great burger and fry's. We had chilli cheese fry's hottest jalapeños I've ever had. But tasty.
(4)Timothy B.

Parking next to the actual restaurant is limited, but there is plenty of parking behind it in the large lot that serves the huge, several-block, Sportsman's Warehouse strip mall.

really good burger and fries (rosemary garlic, olive oil, yum). total cost with a drink is around 10 bucks. if you are familiar with in 'n' out, i would say this place is comparable without the cult following. my friend said their salads were really good, but i dont really eat vegetables at a burger joint other than fries :P i wouldnt be a regular here, or make the drive just to go to smashburger, but if i am in the area and want to have 1000+ calories ill probably come here.
