Had the combination fried rice and pork n seeds. I was really impressed. The rice was some of the best I've had. They pork was good. Cold but fine. Spicy yellow mustard looked home made.

I had the pad Thai, it was very bland. Where's the heat? I ended up not even eating it all, felt bad for wasting food but it wasn't tasty. I'll try this place again and ask for some flavor.

Had the Panang. Was empty when we got there at 7:30 on a Sat night. Was honestly pretty bad but we are from Seattle where great Thai food is the norm. Didn't ask how spicy to make it. Sauce thin and one-dimensional. Peas may have been canned. Server was friendly. I wish them the best but the panang was not good on this night. The music stopped and we spent most of the meal in silence which was also pretty bizarre.

My first time here - Ordered to go - Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai- Medium spice, and Egg Rolls. it took about 20 minutes which wasn't bad, as I was leaving I asked for Forks and napkins and was told they were in the bag. After getting to the hotel - no fork, only chop sticks and the food had no flavor to it at all - none. disappointing

Delicious and authentic Thai food! Lao version papaya was amazing! The waitress was very friendly and helpful and ambiance was relaxing. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious authentic Thai food.

Went for late dinner with my friend. The place was not busy at all on Saturday night, around 9pm, which was good, We didn't have to wait long to order the food. We ordered Cha Gio (always good!), Pad Woonsen (medium spicy), and a yellow curry. All tasted delicious, too much for both of us. The owner, Mr Tom, is friendly and he sat with us and we chatted. The lady server was nice too.

Pros: Fairly good food, reasonable prices, and a moderately large menu. Cons: They RAN OUT of steamed rice, the service was slow, and I had to remind them to bring me part of my order. I gave Siam Thai a try while in Boise for work, and I am mostly glad I chose to eat there. The food was tasty and plentiful, the servers were very friendly, and the restaurant was clean and very busy. However, I was disappointed by a few things. To begin with, the menu had a LOT of dishes that are would be considered more Chinese or American-inspired Asian rather than "authentic Thai." The service was very slow (40 minutes from the time I sat down to the time I got my food), and the server forgot to bring my soup until I reminded her. And finally, I asked for steamed rice with my meal, but when it came, there was friend rice in it's place. I was told that they had "ran out" of steamed rice. For any Asian restaurant, running out of steamed rice is definitely breaking a cardinal rule. So, by all means, give Siam a try, but be wary.

Pretty good food. Service has dropped over the past several years. Rice was served cool, but not quite cold. Should have been served warm if not hot Vegetables cooked well and tasty, possibly due to the mega-dose of MSG. Previously 4.5 stars when MSG was not such a prominent ingredient. Crowds are also seldom seen, unlike years past when it was very busy

Had lunch there today. The food was not bad, but it took 25 minutes for us to get a pot of hot tea. The orders came out wrong and it was 35 minutes to get our food. I had to ask for the tea three times, and watched our waitress bring out tea for other tables. When we arrived there were two other tables there, and while we were there the number grew to maybe 8. With two waitresses this should have been easy to manage. I thing she was just incompetent.

Ate dinner here last night and was thoroughly underwhelmed by the food and service. My husband and I both ordered Pad Thai (he with beef and I with tofu) since it was normally our favorite dish, and we both agreed it was not very good. The noodles were soggy and bland. We ordered fresh rolls as an appetizer, and they were okay, but again, not the best ever. I found the prices to be a bit steep for the quality of the food and slow service. I don't think we'll be back.

I ordered the pad thai to go, and the waitress that rang me up was not very friendly. Didn't even crack a smile. The pad thai was watery and bland. I think they put more effort into the fancy sliced carrot garnish than they did my food. I won't be making another visit.

Last night, I cheated on my long-time Thai lover Chiang Mai. CM, I will always love you and I will be back someday. I just don't know how soon that day will be. Siam impressed me, there's no way around it. The portions were insanity. Two of my friends and I opted for a family meal and when the waitress asked if we needed anything else all I could think of was a second table! Sweet and sour pork, pork fried rice, mongolian beef, almond chicken, white rice, egg rolls, pork with seeds, and a sizzling rice soup crowded our table as we sipped away at tall glasses of Thai-iced coffee. A special aside note on the coffee: As my friends and I sipped away they heckled me over mine being darker than theirs. The waitress overheard this and brought me extra half-and-half in case I thought the coffee 'might be too strong.' That told me just how much she cared that my meal was exceptional. The food, oh, the food. I grew up eating a steady intake of all matter of southeast Asian cuisine and Siam was like eating in my mom's kitchen again. The flavors were full and bright. I found myself wanting to eat more and more, despite my belt silently protesting by digging into my expanding stomach. The service was spot-on. The servings were bountiful. The help was incredibly friendly. Siam Thai, I look forward to many more dollars spent and many more good meals taken in. PS: When they say something on the menu is spicy? They aren't kidding.

I have been going here with the work crowd for lunch for years. I find myself comparing all Thai restaurants to Siam. You just can't beat the value, the food, and the service. My favorites: Pad Prik King, and the Green Curry. Writing this is making my mouth water!

My friends took me here when I said I loved Thai food. I really enjoyed my Pad Thai, and they did the dishes they ordered. I found it very reasonably priced for three people, and even with hearty eaters, we had leftovers I enjoyed another day.

Average meal. I ordered the Sweet and Sour chicken and it overly sweet, and missing spice after taste even though I've tried 3 on their 5 star hot scale. The Thai Ice-Tea I've ordered with the meal was good, but over all the meal did not impress me to go above 3 stars. It's a decent option for lunch, the portions are big, and the place is clean and quite. They have a wide verity of lunch specials and good selection of dishes.

I love Thai food and this restaurant is in my neighborhood so I've eaten lunches and dinner there and have ordered take out. Every meal has been very good. I like spicy and they have spicy! When I have out of town guests, they always want to have dinner here. The curries are excellent, the restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the service is always good.

I got take out from Siam yesterday. Very disappointed! Pad Ke Mao was overcooked and mushy. Red curry was watery and flat. I will go to Chang Mai or Pad Thai House the next time I have the urge for Thai.

Like the 2 stars on Yelp say... "meh, I've experienced better" - yep. Although the service was pretty good and the dishes came out promptly, the food wasn't all that great. The lunch started out with a house soup (your usual "leftovers" soup - bamboo shoots, tofu, sprouts - whatever else is left over from yesterday thrown in a pot) - meh. Fresh Rolls - I've had much better. Lettuce, sprouts, and a bit o' shrimp in some rice paper rolls. Spicy Chicken Fried Rice - Wasn't all that great... the weird part was that it had a sweaty kinda look to it - moist, maybe? The taste was okay and the portions were large... but ehh... My friends both had the pad kra prow - and both said it was bland. Not a very good way to describe food. Well... I guess we should've known when we arrived to a pretty empty restaurant right in the middle of lunch hour. Didn't get much better throughout the lunch hour, either. Whatever... Definite skipper in my opinion... I'd rather go to Chiang Mai

This is a decent Thai restaurant. The food has good flavor, generous portions, and a full menu with many choices. The decor is pleasantly eclectic and the staff is friendly. I have always enjoyed a meal there.

This was the first Thai place we tried in Boise, about 3 weeks ago. I liked the inside of the restaurant, but I did not like the food. I had a bad experience with the the spiciness. See, before I lived in NYC and Phoenix and all the Thai places we were to there had Mild Medium Hot and Thai Hot. So I always get Medium. They have 1-5 stars here. I asked for Medium, 3 stars on my curry. Oh, my mistake. Apparently 3 stars is NOT Medium. I can handle spicy but I couldn't eat this. It was burning my mouth. I felt awful because I never return food, but I really could not physically eat it. Another waitress (or manager, I'm not sure) came and helped me out. She got me a new one with a much more manageable spiciness level. Unfortunately the flavor was not really good. She helped me with my burned mouth by giving me really, really hot water and saying to sip it, that it will burn, but help the problem. It really did help. I guess just because of the traumatic experience that I will not be returning here. My husband says his food was good, but nothing special. He gives it 3 stars.
