Nice service and quick turn around time for ordering take out. But the vegetable Pad Thai was flavorless and mostly bean sprouts. I was not asked about desired spiciness level and the dish had no spice whatsoever.

Why are the small and quaint Asian restaurants always the best? Well this one takes the cake as far as Thai goes. The veggies, meats and service are always on point. I am a big fan of the Thai Basil And Pad Woonsen dishes. They allow you to choose spicy on a range from 1-6, I prefer 3 as it's tolerable but still spicy. They also bring you a spice tray with 4 awesome custom spicy sauces and 1 thai powder which is one of my favorites. Check this place out as its one of the best Thai restaurants in Boise and close to downtown.

It's hard to find Thai restaurant than can accommodate our allergy to garlic on all their dishes. We were pleased to find out that Pat's makes all their food from scratch so we could order some favorites that other Thai restaurants cannot accommodate our allergy with. We had phad thai (usually sauces are premade with garlic), fried rice, and pineapple curry. Delicious. Thank you to the wait staff and cooks for taking care of us.

My wife and I, traveling through Boise, unfortunately chose this poorly run restaurant for our only dinner in town. We ordered Pad Thai which was almost entirely a large serving of noodles and nothing else. My wife ordered extra sauce and it was still very dry. Service was very slow and inattentive despite only a small number of patrons. Nothing to note here except you'd probably be happier elsewhere.

This is my go to lunch spot for Thai noodle dishes in Boise. Other restaurants (such as the Pad Thai House) do curries and soups better, but Pat's is my unconditional favorite when it comes to dishes such as Pad See-Ew, Pad Woon Sen, and Pad Kee-Mao. The noodles are firm and bouncy, and the flavors are at just the right level so that you can add as many items from their "pepper tray" as you'd like without overpowering anything.

Everything is amazing! Seriously. I have no complaints. When I moved from Los Angeles to Boise, I was FEARFUL (really Fearful) that I would not find the kind of mom and pop Thai restaurants that so prominently dot the city of angels. (Not that Boise doesn't have an amazingly wide range of beautiful food establishments, but most know LA has the goods when it comes to Super authentic Asian cuisine since a huge population has migrated there!)--- Well........I FOUND the best! Pat's is the bomb! (that's my east coast (originally from Connecticut coming out in me!) And that means it's awesome!!!! I long for a good Tom Yum Soup or a Panang Curry with just the right spice and a good wine to go with it and boy do they deliver. They obviously have a knowledgeable staff in regards to wine and beer paring too. They have a great acidic yet fruit forward Pino Gris and a few other choice wines and also offer a perfectly spicy balanced Riesling which (whomever knows a thing or two about wine) is perfect with spicy ethnic dishes! They also have the perfect beer offerings too! The staff is friendly, the kitchen focused and I am sooooooooo happy they are there! I would say please get rid of the brown carpet squares, and deck out the bathrooms a bit, but other than that, it's A+ in my book!

I love their thai iced tea. I ordered N4 (glad noodles with chicken and veggies) and it was pretty delicious. I'll definitely go back again in the future.

This is adequate Thai food. I ordered yellow curry with chicken (and a beer). The flavor was no where near what I have eaten in Thailand, Singapore, or Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, CA). The sauce was light, and it was obvious that the spicy level was simply adjusted by adding some sort of ground peppers (pieces were very visible). The waitress was attentive and helpful. I love yellow curry; this wasn't it. I likely will not return.

I went here based on the good reviews. The food was good but service for lunch was lousy, even though when I arrived I was the only person there. A couple came in a few minutes after I arrived but that was it. The one server on duty was more interested in texting than attending to his customers.

This food was solidly three stars, but nothing to write home about. I got the garlic and black pepper with beef. The sauce was gravy-ish, the flavors were fresh enough but rather uninspired. I wanted brown rice, but they weren't willing to swap it for white rice and charge me a little extra for it. They could only charge me for a full side of brown rice ($3 extra), so I passed on that. The white rice was on the crunchy side. My husband's pad kee mao was spicy enough but he said the flavor was just okay. I will stick with Mai Thai for better quality at a similar price.

Yum! Pad Woonsen with tofu was delish! I can't wait to try something else! My husband had a spicy noodle noodle soup which was also great.

Restaurant is very much open and still very good. Word of caution-they use a 1-6 heat scale. Anything above a 3/4 is HOT!

Like another review I read on here, Pat's Thai Kitchen should only get 3 1/2 stars. The food is pretty good but the service was bad. Service: The evening I went with my partner, there was only one waiter. Between serving the 9 people in there ( not counting us) and taking phone orders, he attempted to take our order by memory only to ask us what we ordered 5 minutes later because rather than jotting down our order right away, he answered two to-go orders and served food before putting in our order. This waiter made many rookie mistakes. He would fill one table's water and rather than go around to each table, he would start doing something else. It took over 30 minutes before we got any food since sitting down. Had we not already waited for 20 minutes and figured it would take just as long to drive to another place before we got served any food, we would have left. Food: The Pad Thai had a very nice flavor to it, though the noodles were soggier than I am used to. We enjoyed the chicken larb as it was done spot on. My beef massamun was also good but visually this dish was not that appetizing. The chef should add some color (like carrots which is how many places serve this dish). Overall I will return because the flavors are there; however, if I get the same crappy service as my initial visit, I will most likely just order take-out than dine in. I don't really like to do take-out so it may be a negative game-changer.

Pat's really deserves a 3.5 star rating, but the staff was friendly, so I'm rounding up instead of down. Food was good. Not spectacular, but good enough to warrant returning, if in the immediate area and dying for Thai food. Portions were mixed. Noodle serving was large. Curry serving size was small (the smallest we've ever seen at any Thai restaurant). Oddly, there was far more than enough chicken in the curry, but far, far too little sauce. This was the first time we've ever been to any Thai restaurant anywhere and ran out of sauce in a curry dish. Overall, the food was good quality, slightly better than Bangkok or Chiang Mai. However, for the serving size and price, the value wasn't the greatest. Pat's may not be our #1 option in Boise, but we'd probably return.

Visiting from LA, there isn't anything I would change. Excellent food. Tom yum gai and green curry were delicious!

BEST THAI FOOD EVER! I'm not sure if this is authentic Thai food...but it sure is exceptional. Best of all it's local and you can always see Pat and Yee preparing your scrumptious meal :) I wish you guys were open on Sundays too

Pats Thai is the best Thai food I have found in Boise. Love the pad Thai with chicken. A little pricey but delicious!

It used be decent food for a decent price and service was poor, whereas Mai Thai was slightly expensive with slightly better food and good service. Now Pats thai has increased the price with inferior food and service, I would not go there again. Chef/owner is pretty stringent with any modifications to the order and quantity is less with lunch menu

Just moved to Boise and was craving Thai food so ordered some take-out from here. The person who took my order was super helpful when I was quizzing about the true level of their spicy scale. I ordered the Prik King with chicken and the Spicy Eggplant. The eggplant wasn't perfectly cooked but it's not an easy vegetable to do. The sauce was tasty. The Prik King was solid but not mind blowing. The restaurant was totally empty on a Saturday night when I walked in to pick up my order so I was a bit weary but for my first Thai experience in Boise Pat's Thai Kitchen was a solid 3. They do have brown rice but you can't substitute it for the white rice so you end up with both. Menu is posted online which is super helpful.

Imagine if the gods empowered you to cook 12 things perfectly. A simple menu executed perfectly *I mean perfectly* a tiny strip-mall Thai restaurant with just a husband and wife in the kitchen cooking the best Thai food *EVER* in the most unlikely of cities. Its a slack week if my friends and I don't eat there at least once. A treasure, a secret paradise. Oh and did I mention... really good value for $$$

Food was good, but not great. Sattay Chicken appitizer tasted freezer burnt. Atmosphere, food, service just seemed a bit 'lacking'. Better Thai food options available.

Good thai food is hard to find in Boise. As a California native, I take the hunt for good green curry quite seriously. It pleases me greatly to report that Pat's Thai fits the bill. The food is no-nonsense. Flavorful, clean dishes with no frills or distraction. The pad kee mao (spicy noodles with basil, onion and meat) makes my nose run and my taste buds leap. The tom kai gai, (traditional coconut soup with ginger) has got a subtle spice to it that tricks me, every time, into eating an entire pot to myself. The green curry is the house favorite, made fresh and often sold out. But the red, yellow, or mussman (my personal favorite) are excellent alternatives. Pat's Thai is a family business and Pat himself can usually been seen cooking away. The beer list is good, and the waiters are eager to explain unfamiliar dishes.

My wife and I LOVE this place. I feel it's hands down the best Thai Food in the valley. I love the low key ambiance and the waitstaff is always friendly and "unique", which we love. The Green Curry is the best in town and my wife loves their Pad Thai, as do I. Tom soups are to die for. We love this LOCAL establishment and we'll be back for many years to come. Thanks Pats.

I was realllly hungry and ordered the Pad Kee Mao for lunch. The portion was smaller than I expected, but I can't complain because I definitely felt full. Some perspective: I just moved from Berkeley, CA and almost every Asian restaurant there served enough for me to make a meal of the leftovers! Anyways, the noodles were good, the spicey sweetness was just right, and they didn't skimp on the veggies! Yay! :) The service was really good, too. The host/waiter was really friendly and accommodating, but not in that awkward fake way lol. And now for the con: They could improve the atmosphere; old, faded "travel agent" posters of Thailand are kind of tacky. I really want to give a 3.5, but i'll round up today!

I didn't expect much as the rumor was Boise had just average Thai food. The Tom Yum Goong is as good as you'll get anywhere, great taste, perhaps a bit more lemongrass takes it to a 10. The spicy basil was not spicy but the chiles I added kicked of into high gear. A good dish just not great. I'll be eating here a few more times this week.

This place is really small and when I went it was dead. We were the only people there but the waiter was really friendly and fun to talk to. And I had the best spring rolls here with an awesome dipping sauce. I'm not usually a fan of thai food but I would go back here for sure.

Great food and price for the portion and quality. Very small place and took me a while to get a seat but once the waiter noticed me he was very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be going back!

LOVE this place. It's quiet, the food is excellent, and the service is always good. I am hooked on the Pad Thai but everything my husband tries has been quite good. Lots of vegetarian options makes this a perfect choice.

The yellow curry was really fresh and tasty. I think this is a good place for a quick lunch or take-out. The menu is limited and there were no condiments on the table and it was expensive for what you got. I like a little more variety. Maybe it's just the lunch menu that is so small. There are other Thai places that are better with more variety.

Food is unexceptional yet overpriced, esp. given the portions.

Sizzling Beef is amazing. I love peanut sauce. The sizzle is a lot of fun too. One of the reasons this place is so good is because the owners are the cooks. They don't want to hand over the important stuff to just anyone. Saw my friend's car in the parking lot. I called him to see where he was. Turns out he donated his car to one of the cooks through an immigration support organization. Man, Boise is a small town.
