I generally visit the Panda Express (PE) in downtown Boise. I had been bargain hunting at the Goodwill nearby with my friend Sarah, and we decided Panda Express would be good for lunch. Glory be! After the small PE downtown, things are nice- but given more space, the PE on Overland is wonderful. The steam tables are bigger and it just seems to present a more vibrant feast for the eyes. The staff made us feel welcome and offered samples of anything we'd like to try. This was on a Saturday, around 11am. We had plans to visit another friend to watch movies, so we got lunch to go for all three of us. I was especially please with how well our order was packaged. I don't usually have the time to sit down and eat when I visit Panda Express (the one downtown is so small, and sitting outside is an exercise in noise from Front Street) but I would really like to go back and sit down inside this Overland location.

Closest Panda Express location to my house and by far the worst when it comes to customer service! I've been to this location multiple times but last night was the last time. The food line was absolute chaos. None of the employees had a clue as to what was going on. Some were filling orders and the cashier was on another planet. The couple ahead of me had some sort of coupon for a free entrée and the cashier acted like they were trying to take money out of her personal pocket with their coupon. Needless to say, the couple ahead of me DID NOT get their free entrée because the cashier did not allow it. I believe the cashier's name was Jordyan or something to that affect. If you see this person working, run to the hills......it's the most reasonable option. Because of Jordyan, I will never visit this location again. Guess I will have to visit the Milwaukee Ave location for sub-par Chinese food from now on.....

Terrible service. Had a receipt with the free entree and they wouldn't let me use it cause I had already paid for my food. I do that at every panda I've ever been to with no problem. I even bought two plates today and still they said they couldn't give me my free one. Real snotty girl at the till too. Never going to this location again and I recommend you don't either

I've been to several different Panda Express locations, but this location specifically is by far the best one in terms of food quality. Honestly, it's because there is such a big difference between locations that I chose to right this review. I didn't want this place getting a bad rap just for being guilty by association. I would definitely recommend this place if you like this type of food.

Great food, super happy folks working there. Lobby and eating area is just right, does get a bit crowded at lunch and dinner rushes.

I don't know why I keep going back to this place. I never seem to feel good after eating here. I only go here to have "Chinese" food when I am in a hurry. The items seems to change every time I go here, but still keeping the staples. That should tell you something. I am somehow addicted to Beijing beef. The bad thing about some of their items is they are caked with sauce. The service is ok, they are just tying to get you through the line quickly. The cleanliness of the place can be worse than the food sometimes. For example, today I was eating in and some of the tables needed to be cleared. I sat at one of the few clean tables. Soon more customers came. The table next to me was filthy, and it had droppings of whole orange chicken plus chow mien on the floor below. A staff member comes over to clear the table and sweep below the table. This was all good except they purposely swept around the orange chicken pieces and intentionally left them there to be tenderized by someone's foot. I am considering not going here anymore.

This is my favorite Panda Express. They have a little gal in there named Bei that runs the register. She has amazing customer service. I love Beijing Beef and you won't get burned rice or old food here. If they think it might be looking like what you're asking for has been sitting around for awhile, then they will ask you if you want to wait for fresh stuff.

The best panda in the valley. I have never had bad food at this one.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
