Boise, ID: After going vegetarian, it's difficult to go to eat at places where the highlight is non-vegetarian food. I needn't have been worried though - this place was amazing. After explaining I was vegetarian, the server told me about what items were available for vegetarians. I ended up getting the falafel sandwich with a tzatziki sauce. I can't even express how much my mouth and stomach thanked me for indulging in this deliciousness. Also, for $4.49, this meal was more filling than items I've had at triple and quadruple this price. My folks shared a lamb kebab plate and raved about the baba ghannooj and the dolma that came with their platter. I sampled the dolma and dipped it in the tzatziki sauce - SO YUMMY. If we ever pass through Boise again, we will definitely be stopping here. This place was excellent, reasonable, and definitely worthy of the "best Mediterranean food in Boise" label.

We love Mediterranean food and while passing through Boise we found this place to have a quick bite. We ordered the Shish Kabob platter, Chicken Kabob platter, falafel sandwich and baklava. The food was pretty tasty. The Shish kabob and chicken kabob platter were pretty good. The falafel and humus were better than many other places that I have tried overall. Their dolma was also better than most places I have tried. The only reason I am not giving this place a resounding five stars for the delicious food is the quantity of food. I think that the food per dish/platter was a little less and would not full you up completely. But whatever quantity you get is fun to have.

I had a lamb gyro and my friend had the shish kabob platter and baklava. Pros: Nicely spiced kabob and rice. Loved the hummus and pita bread. Cons: Portions were a little small for the price. Fast food atmosphere. Unable to eat on patio due to flies.

Great food, fair prices, friendly and out-going staff. This place is a gem. My gyro had the perfect combination of savory lamb, tziki, and feta. I will be going back. Did not give 5 stars only because of their use of plastic silverware and styrofoam plates for a dine-in order. It's the small things. Easy fix tho.

This was our first experience at Mazzah and I have to say it wasn't a great one. I'll give them points for being quick, friendly, and cheap. The problems all had to do with the food. We called in a to go order and I realized that they forgot the tzatziki before I left. Once I got home I realized that they also shorted me a falafel (5 instead of 6) and completely forgot the basmati rice. After trying to falafel I wasn't too disappointed to have only have five, they were super dense and lacked flavor. My husband said the chicken gyro sandwich was unimpressive as well. I wanted to like this place so much, I LOVE Mediterranean food. Maybe I was just spoiled by big city real falafel. This Americanized versions just doesn't cut it for me.

They've got super Yammy veggie hummus sauce. I will definitely come back visit again!

One of my favorite places in town. The soup is out of this world. I usually go for rice with falafel and hummus. You can always skip the pita bread and score with cucumber slices. Really consistent quality. Highly recommend. And just next door to two other greats: Cloud 9 Brewery (great food too) and Janjou Bakery (outstanding quiche and baked treats).

Mazzah consistently brings it with delicious Mediterranean eats at incredibly reasonable prices. What I love: Their chicken gyro is all moist, flavorful chicken, crumbled feta, pillowy pita deliciousness. The hummus side...everything hummus ought to be served with pita bread for dipping (though they did have a sign that they are now offering pita chips as well). The baklava. My people. Honestly, I don't know how they accomplish this dessert. It's so delicate, and so rich. It is truly honey drenched divinity. Share it, if you must--but do not skip it. Put it all together and you've got a meal fit for Socrates...or Plato...or Euripides...or, you know, John Stamos (what? he's Greek...ish). If you've not been in a while, they've actually doubled in size by taking over the storefront next door. So, even on a busy Friday night, seating wasn't a problem. The food is made fresh to order and certain items can take a while BUT you can always order ahead and they'll have it waiting for you when you get there (nice). You order at the counter but they bring the food to your table. And, the service is friendly to boot! Get to it!

Awesome Mediterranean food, the gyro's are the best I have had in Boise. The restaurant is nothing special inside, typical strip mall but the food is awesome. You can also call ahead but everytime I do they either are so busy they screw up the order a little or can't hear me over the phone and can be a little rude. Otherwise great food!

The food was excellent! Very flavorful. I had the beef shish kabob, Dolma and falafel with yellow rice. The veggies were cooked perfectly as was everything else. We dined in. The staff was very friendly and we were given metal utensils. I added the comment about the utensils after reading an earlier comment. This was our first visit and we were very happy with everything. Will certainly be regular customers!

I love love love the food! This is my comfort food! My favorite thing to get is the chicken platter with tabouli and hummus as sides. Their hummus is soooo good! I have also had the chicken schwarma sand which. Their employees aren't overly friendly but I have met the owners and they are really nice. I have been to the other location as well which also has great food but this location is better for me and the atmosphere is a bit more cozy at this one. I would eat here twice a week if I lived closer!

Great food. Great value. VERY slow...but if the food is good, it's worth it. No alcohol.

Yep, this place is legit! I have a hard time ordering anything else but the Gyro sandwich because it is so good! The tzatziki sauce is so good that if some spilled on my shoe, I would probably eat my shoe! All the platters are delicious, staff is always friendly and the place is always busy.

Im a newbie when it comes to greek food but I am hooked now due to Mazzah ! The staff was nice to explain all the flavors to me and made suggestions on what I might like. They were right ! I loved it. I dont know the name of what I ate but it was awesome ! Great flavors, light, yet filling at the same time. I'll be returning here often. Cheers !

First time Mazzah, but I'll certainly be back on my next time through Boise. The Chicken Schwarma plate was a full dinner for about $10. It included a tasty chicken Schwarma with Tzatziki sauce, yellow rice and two sides -- I had the Lebanese salad and hummus with pita. Everything was made fresh...

The food was good but it has very few options to choose from. The baklava was ok. Definitely would try again.

Dependably great Greek food. good prices, friendly staff with an easy, casual atmosphere. We regularly order Baba ganoush, hummus, chicken gyro and lamb gyro. They all are great -- You can't go wrong here for a tasty meal. And left-overs are just as tasty.

We returned to Mazza thinking it would be a good option for our vegetarian visitors. After he had ordered, and mostly consumed, what we had been assured was a vegetarian dish, our guest discovered it was made with CHICKEN stock. He was so angry with Mazza and we were mortified that we took him there in the first place. We will not return.

It is hard for me to go anywhere else for lunch. Everything I've had is great- but I'm hooked on the chicken shawarma. Friendly staff, clean and nice plus delicious noms. Awesome.

This is a great option for a fast lunch when you're tired of burgers. I had the lentil soup & that day's special. My husband had the shish kabob sandwich - which unfortunately took 15 mins to cook (but that also means it was fresh!). We had the bite sized classic baklava. It was very sweet - so the small size was ideal. We will definitely be back. Greek food is perfect for these hot summer days.

Mazzah is so delicious, I have tried most of the things on the menu, and I'm never disappointed. Prices aren't bad and the food is great. They have a few options for kids meals as well. Give it a try!

Tzatziki... I think yes. #delicous the pita is a slam dunk. Relatively inexpensive ($14 incl. tip for my whole meal), SUPER FAST(no meat). I would definitely come again.

If you want an amazing Greek salad go to Sophia's Greek Bistro. What I received at Mazzah as 'Greek salad' was a huge paper plate of lettuce, chunks too big to eat and tons of the white core parts. I had to pick through and tear the lettuce and remove the white core parts. Cucumbers also just sliced and with only a plastic fork had to eat separately rather than part of salad. Very light on feta and tiny bits of diced tomatoes. I'm happy I ordered two falafels which I ate with the salad for flavor. I might return for a few falafels some day although I like the ones from Pita Pit. Would never waste money on a sad, overpriced salad there again. I do like the expanded outside area.

I was coming from day 1.. Back in the day, when this place wasn't well known, their food was great! I travel a lot and I cant think of how many "gyros" I ate, in different corners of the world but I always thought this place had that "secret recipe ingredient" that kept me coming back... In the recent years, the place has been lacking "flavor", customer service and the prices have gone up... They did expand, became more "popular", but the owners seriously have to watch their employees and their behavior... It was much better when it was "family and friends" mostly working... Whenever I come to Boise, I still go here for a "gyro" but it's not the same, if I knew of any other place I would probably give it a shot...

Gwendalyn P.
I highly recommend this place. I always get the chicken shawarma. Just tried the pita bread with hummus. There is no way this place could disappoint. Good customer serice- they bring your food to your table. They give a military discount with id. Too bad there only location is north Boise. They need to have another location pop up in east Boise. This is the place to go if you want something different.

I've been eating and enjoying Mazzah for many years but the last few visits have left me disappointed in what used to be an old favorite. I'll start getting my fix at the Goodness Land or Kabob House. Last night they forgot part of my order. When I called to ask for a refund, I was told they couldn't refund my credit card without me being there in person. Simply not true. Plus the girl was rude and acted like she was the one being inconvenienced having to talk to me. A lot of the faces there lately are new and customer service has gone way down hill. The visit before this one consisted of onions on the mujaddara that were burned beyond being edible and falafel that was also very overcooked. Luckily I ordered a side of tzatziki sauce to dip them in. The server asked what size, there's always been two and we get the larger of the sides - I think 4 oz, so I said large. I got home with a big bill and a soup bowl of sauce. An actual soup bowl of tzatziki. Not even a cup, but a bowl! So sad this once yummy place seems to be tanking.

Good food - better Mediterranean cuisine than you'd think you can get in Boise. Portions are not generous, but enough for most people. Next time I plan on trying their baklava.
(4)
Evy W.
While we got there it was 8:10pm ( they close at 9pm) and we wanna have kabob . Well ...they kept reminding us we will close it soon and kabob will take 20 mins ( which means plz go get something quick !!!!) so it ended up I got a " kid meal " ...yummy foods but not sweet service .. Rush rush rush ...that's a big " minus " !

Had the chicken kabob and it was delicious! Ate more of it than I should have. Will definitely be back!

Awesome place. I eaten just about everything there but my favs are - for a cheap item the lamb gyro. Best item it the chicken kabahs. The rice is amazing and so is the humus. Lenil soup is out-of this world too.

OMG it's so good!!! The girls at the register are awesome!! Great service, great food! Wish I lived in this town so I could come back at least once a week!! Eat the chicken shawarma sandwich you will not regret it.

"Can you believe how good that was?" This is a sentiment not too often done unanimously but in this case, It was! Had the Gyro combo which came with a Gyro, rice, with lamb and two side dishes and a soda. WOW, WOW, WOW! The place, including the restroom, was clean and the staff very friendly! Makes me want to move to Boise just to eat here- No kidding!! Give them a swing if in the area and craving the best Mediterranean!

They actually gave me tzatziki this time! Of course I double-checked before leaving, but hey, can't complain. This earns them back a well deserved star. Food is delicious as always, great pricing for what you get (can't beat the falafel platter). Also feel like the hummus tasted even better this time around.

Good food but have had a couple to go orders now that have been wrong. Not sure if it is computer error or what but it is disappointing to have to either wait for a correction on a busy night or get home to find something missing. Bummer. I realize it is on me to check first before leaving with food but I will probably reconsider going to Mazzah when ordering to go from here on out.

"You spin me right 'round, baby Right 'round like a record, baby Right 'round, 'round, 'round..." Oh how I love me some gyros! That weirdly shaped and pressed meat product which spins and spins on a rotating spit and then is sliced so thin and placed in a warm pita with tzatziki, onions and tomatoes. Yum. Thankfully, when I get a hankerin' for a gyro when I'm in Boise there is Mazzah. They have a perfectly good version that is further pumped up with the addition of feta and some lettuce. Totally hits the spot. You can make it a combo and get some really good french fries and a soda for around $9. I have also had the platter version ($11) which comes with rice and your choice of two sides. Most of the time I get the mujaddara instead of the basmati (small up charge), some hummus and the Lebanese salad for my two sides. "You spin me right 'round, baby Right 'round like a record, baby Right 'round, 'round, 'round..." The mujaddara at Mazzah is only *meh*. The traditional Lebanese version of rice and brown lentils is served here with caramelized onions on top. The rice is always overcooked, so it gets all clumpy and mushy, but the flavor is pretty good. The hummus here is really smooth, but lacks the zing of the promised fresh lemon or the bite or the garlic that I'm used to. It too is just OK, I've definitely had better interpretations. I am not at all a fan of Mazzah's baba ghannooj. It does not have that smokey goodness that I associate with a great baba and the eggplant is chunkier than I like. The texture is weird and the lemon & garlic flavors are missing yet again. Skip it. The Lebanese salad and Fatoosh suffer from sitting too long in the olive oil, lemon, and vinegar dressing. The tomatoes and cucumbers are mealy and there should be more of that fresh parsley taste too. I've also tried the baklava here...it is dry but if you have access to a microwave just pop it in for about 15 seconds and it is rescued. I don't think it is wrapped properly or it just doesn't sell well and it's stale. Either way the nuker does the trick. I'm grateful that Mazzah exists in Boise for when I get those gyro cravings. I just wish they would step it up a bit with the rest of their offerings. And just in case that song is not yet stuck in your head...one more time: "You spin me right 'round, baby Right 'round like a record, baby Right 'round, 'round, 'round..." 011.13

We ordered out and it took forever, and there was hardly anyone in there. The hummus was so watery and bland. The falafel was actually pretty good and I really appreciated that they put it on real pita bread and not the flat type. But overall I would rather just make my own.

This restaurant needs a bigger kitchen and faster service getting people's food onto their tables. It took me, my two cousins and my aunt almost 30 minutes to get our order, which is a long time to cook food. They even brought out Greek desserts, which were really good, but it wasn't on the menu. I really loved the food and it was my first time trying this type of Mediterranean food in Boise, Idaho.
(3)
Justin P.
Before Mazzah, I had never had authentic Baklavah and now I'm an addict. Their Hummus is by far the best I've ever had, and their pita is always fresh and perfectly grilled. It's fast and affordable too.

This is my go to for neighborhood, I don't feel like cooking tonight, what are we ordering, honey. I've probably eaten here 50 times in two years and I the only complaint is that once I had a few pieces of crunchy rice and once they forgot my soup in a to go order (which they made a note in their system and I got for free the next time). My parents will NEVER try anything new- I took them to Gernika and they ordered hamburgers...and they both liked this place. I get the kabob sampler with a rotation of lentil soup, hummus, or baba ganouj as sides. The chicken shawarma is also excellent. And I absolutely abhor cucumbers but their tzatziki is so good, I put it on everything. Lovely local business worth a try. You will be back.

I've always enjoyed a nice Greek dinner, so when a friend recommended this place, I figured I'd give it a shot. I guess I was first let down to see it was more of a fast food type setting than a sit down dining restaurant like I'm used to. I ordered the Lamb Kabob Platter with a Lebanese Salad and Hummus. I was going to get dolmas but they were sold out. When my food arrived, I was slightly disappointed to see the portions for the price paid. One Kabob with lamb and one with some various vegetables spaced to fill the kabob stick. The food had good flavor, and consistency was good. The chocolate Baklavah was very tasty, and the nut roll was quite good as well. Overall the food was decent, but not quite what I was expecting. Would prefer more of a dine in restaurant with slightly better portions for the price paid. Not bad for some quick Greek food. There may be better to be found.

I'm not sure what happened but the quality of their food has gone downhill fast. This used to be our go-to place for nummy healthy food - especially the lamb. We went recently after a really bad experience with their service had kept us away for awhile. We wanted to give them a chance. The service was professional and friendly but the food was poor quality and the portions had shrunk significantly. I don't know if they've changed their recipes or had to cut back on the quality of the ingredients they buy. Whatever the change is, we will not be back and that makes me sad to lose such an excellent local restaurant.

After reading the reviews, it got me craving Gyro's. So I ordered take out. Ordered 2 Gyros, half greek salad and baklava. The Gryos were fairly big and one of them sufficed. It was really good and also liked the tzatziki sauce was yummy. Actually ordered the tzatziki sauce for my greek salad. All the ingredients tasted fresh. Baklava was just right, not to sweet or over done. Great dessert to finish off my mediterranean dinner. Definitely satified my Gyro craving!! Next time I am back in town, I am hitting this place again.

The Gyros are superb. The pita was excellent. The hummus was Very good with delicate flavors. The shisk ka bob, however, was horrible. It was not chunks of lamb It was a just a hamburger rolled up to look like shisk ka bob. Yuk. Yelp shows a 2nd location...
(4)
Darren R.
I really feel like the people at Mazzah have given up. It took 45 minutes to get my food (to go) and when I got it, it was cold and my gyro was the hard chewy ends of it. I paid 12 bucks for this? Three slices of pita with way too much hummus for that little of a pita. You can't even get free refills on your drink but you have to wait 45 minutes. Gets 2 stars because at least they had a roof.

Good food, friendly staff and low key atmosphere. Good food I had lamb gyro and outa with hummus and babaganosh. Very yummy!

The food was alright. I ordered the lamb shish kabob platter with a jerusalum salad. Everything was good but dolmas were bitter and not like any I've had before. The baklava was amazing.

Love this place!! My favorites are the falafel and the gyro. I always order pita and hummus, both of which are delicious. This place is really close to my house so I walk here all the time, but I would drive to this place if I had to because it's that good. They give you a discount if you're a student and if you're a Co-Op member, which is friggen sweet.

I am lucky to have this place in my neighborhood. One specific experience at Mazzah stands out in my mind as an example of just how much I like this restaurant. I don't particularly care for lamb so I traditionally avoid gyros, but on this particular visit I mentioned that to one of the girls working at the register and she insisted I try a small sample of the gyro meat, which is apparently both beef and lamb. I said sure because I was curious and it's hard to say no to a free sample. It is worth noting that, over the years, I've been on a quest to find out why so many people love lamb so I've tried it in shank, sausage, chop, gyro, and kibbee form. I was sure I would never say this but...it was delightful! Despite my newfound love of gyro, my personal favorite here is still the chicken shawarma sandwich. It's perfectly seasoned, it's never too saturated with tzatziki, and if you get the combination platter both the rice and the fry sauce (something new to me, not being from this part of the country) are great. My only concern is that the size of the shawarma sandwich varies depending on who's making it. Let us not forget the Turkish coffee. How did I ever get by without it?
(5)
Kurt G.
We have had mixed luck on their meat, and have decided that the key is to go during normal times. Go on off hours (3pm), and you risk getting dried out meat. One VERY positive note, ask for spicy sauce on your gyros, and they put a decent amount on. Certainly enough to warm you up on these winter days. I also like their their rice. What? No review on their hummus? Well, I just can't remember, which probably means that it wasn't horrible. It has certainly become a regular stop for us.

My only caveat on this review is, since I ordered from Mazzah via Carry Out Cab (see my review of this service too), I'm not sure if my food came from this location or the one on Parkcenter. Now to my thoughts... I'm not a native of Boise. I'm from a city with a large Greek community, (some of whom I'm related to), and a lot of good Greek food. Since moving, I've been in and out of love with a number of different places here. However, I've never met a gyro in Idaho that I could commit to...until now. Is it possible for a food item to bring a tear to the eye of one homesick for family and the familiar things of their hometown? Not saying that this happened but....well...I'm not saying. In any case this gyro was positively perfect. Tender, lean slices of lamb, a beautiful tzatziki sauce, (what is UP with the copious quantities of onions that some places here like to put in said sauce??), a perfect sprinkling of feta, crisp lettuces. What can I say? Glorious. I would be remiss to not mention the delightful, delicate rice and the hummus...let's just say I'm glad I got two orders. My kid ordered the Lebanese salad. Again, fresh and delicious. Just to her taste. My husband, the chicken kabob platter with a side order of lamb kabob. He really enjoyed the chicken but said the lamb was so good it overshadowed the other kabob. Tasting some myself, the seasoning was just right and it was grilled in such a way as to preserve the tenderness so vital to anyone who enjoys lamb like I do. My only criticism is to the dolmades. They were very good, very fresh but I admit to enjoying mine with minced lamb therein. It's a personal preference and in no way should discourage anyone from ordering them. In fact, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't get them again. That being said, I plan on going back in the near future to do carry out personally. I'm hoping to meet the good people behind this joyful taste of home.

Really exceptional Mediterranean cuisine. This is a favorite late lunch stop for me. My staple is the Gyro sandwich and a cup of lentil soup, but everything on the menu is delicious. There are two locations, State St. being the first. The restaurant is owned by a lovely local family, all of whom are clearly proud of the food they serve. Enjoy it folks. this is small business USA at its finest.

WOW! Easily the best food I have had in Boise. They do everything really well and are super friendly and fast. I usually am reluctant to give out the 5 stars but this place deserved it. Their platters are gigantic and every bite just gets better. If you like mediterranean food then this place is it.

Tried this place with my husband as our first eat out restaurant in our new town since moving from Nevada. The greek authenticity surprised both my husband and I being that Boise is more of a meat and potatoes type of town. Delicious food, flavorful. Decent prices for the amount of food as well. I just wish the shwarma was a bit more like the one I had in Romania when I visited. BUT it was good.
(4)
David F.
Good Falafel, Mujaddara, and chicken Shawarma. The gyro is very popular, too. The baba and humus are standard fare. The Fatoosh is not as good as Ibrahim's (R.I.P. Aladdin). I'm not really a fan of shish kabob so I can't say that theirs is good.
(3)
Cliff S.
$10 for lunch, gyro drink and 3 pieces of pita w/ hummus. Food ok, service ok. I prefer the gyros from the drive thru stand on overland near the freeway in the ace hardware parking lot. Cheaper, better flavors, more food.

Amazing food! I'm usually not a fan of Mediterranean, but this place is awesome. Very friendly staff, good prices considering the quality, and out of this world falafel. I never would have expected this quality of Mediterranean food in Boise. Worth a visit, you'll love it!

After reading several reviews, we decided to go to this restaurant. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious and reasonable. It is a casual Mediterranean place. The service was good and courteous .

Great Food! As a newbie to middle eastern food, I had never had anything on the menu. I got the Lamb Kabob Sandwich and sampler of Mujadarra, Za'atar bread and Falafel. My mom who was also a newbie got the Lamb kabob, Dolmas, Tabouli and Lebanese salad. We shared between the two of us and had leftovers. The food was great the Dolmas were an unexpected delight. I even picked up some Baklava (heavenly) and some Kataifi ( even better) for the ride home and for my kids. I will be making this a regular stop when in the area. The service was friendly, patient( with my newbie-ness) and quick.

(5)

this is what you do...chicken shawarma with tzatziki, add chilli hot sauce. get a combo and substitute crappy fries for lentil soup, you won't be sorry. Also, lentil soup puts hair on your chest and you will need that for the ladies...that is all.
(5)
Rian M.
Awesome!!!!! So, it's in a strip mall, but dont let it defer you. The food is really good and very cheap! They do not serve alcohol, but i went to the Albertsons next door and used they're cups and they were ok with it. We did sit outside, so i'm not sure if you can bring it in. Dolmas are amazing!!!!!!!! For a quick, easy, something different or good take out....go here!

Mizz S.
I went to school in Michigan, where there are one-point-three gazillion little Middle Eastern restaurants where you can gorge yourself on lentil soup, spinach filled pastry, falafel, hummus, and baklavah or those little honey soaked corn cakes and pay, like, $4. The food at Mazzah is as good as those little holes in the wall were, but the price is a tad higher. Or maybe that's because it's been longer than I'd care to admit. At any rate, good stuff at a decent price.
(5)
Mary A.
A friend brought me here for dinnner one night and I've been hooked ever since! I love the Gyro and the yellow rice, the chicken shawarma is really good also. I haven't tried the lentil soup yet but I noticed a lot of people were eating it and I'll have to have some of that at another time. Even though you order at the counter, the food is delivered to your table, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Another great nutritious cheap eatery!

Best gyro in Boise, which is what the star rating is based on. Hummus is above average, schwarma is ok. Friendly place.
(4)

As a northender I have been eating here since it opened. I try to make it here at least once a month and have never been disapointed. I only eat the Gyro's so I don't know much about the rest of the menu. I would suggest it to anyone.
(4)
Lou M.
Our first visit at the Park Center Mazzah was a good one all in all. I had an original gyro and a Greek salad. My wife had a chicken gyro and a flafal. Both our gyros were excellent. Mine did not have enough sauce so I would order extra next time. My wife ordered extra so she was ok. The Greek salad was exceleent but cannot be easily eaten with the small plastic fork they provide. It was extremely frustrating and it took me 45 minutes to get through 70% of the salad. The falafal was not to our liking. The place is clean and the staff are very attentive and all have good customer service skills. They need to do something about the utensils for the greek salad as I will not order it again and it happens to be a favorite of mine.

I am big fan of Mediterranean food, and was very skeptical about getting it in Idaho. I am so glad I ran across Mazzah!!! Not only do they have my favorites (Baba Ganooj and Falafel) but I was very pleased with the decor, taste of the food, and quality customer service!

Went here just to enjoy a gyro and I was not disappointed. Nice to eat outdoors. It was so good I went back the next evening. Next time I am in Boise, I'll stop in again.

Great gyro...I stop by regularly for one. Unfortunately the hummus and falafel are not good.

The Mediterranean food here is excellent. The meat is grilled, the portions are sized well, and the price is reasonable. If you don't know what to get, try the kabob sampler. The baklava dessert were home made and super tasty.

Although the sit down and eat closed early, takeout was still offered and received. The food is cram in belly and find more room good. It's some of the best.

Awesome.

Love their gryo and fries. Serve very friendly. Casual atmosphere. Worth the trip across town for this treat.

Good Greek food. I had the shwarma, inspired by the Avengers movie of course. Good portions and price.

Amazing food. Got the gyro combo with pita and humus. Great price, great service and food.

Best gyro in Boise, which is what the star rating is based on. Hummus is above average, schwarma is ok. Friendly place.

As a northender I have been eating here since it opened. I try to make it here at least once a month and have never been disapointed. I only eat the Gyro's so I don't know much about the rest of the menu. I would suggest it to anyone.

(4)
Keely G.
I had a lamb gyro and my friend had the shish kabob platter and baklava. Pros: Nicely spiced kabob and rice. Loved the hummus and pita bread. Cons: Portions were a little small for the price. Fast food atmosphere. Unable to eat on patio due to flies.
(3)
Pat M.

Carrera A.

Lydier H.
They've got super Yammy veggie hummus sauce. I will definitely come back visit again!
(4)
R J.

Ophelia M.
Get to it!
(4)
Justin T.

Jamie P.
Had the chicken kabob and it was delicious! Ate more of it than I should have. Will definitely be back!
(4)

Awesome place. I eaten just about everything there but my favs are - for a cheap item the lamb gyro. Best item it the chicken kabahs. The rice is amazing and so is the humus. Lenil soup is out-of this world too.

OMG it's so good!!! The girls at the register are awesome!! Great service, great food! Wish I lived in this town so I could come back at least once a week!! Eat the chicken shawarma sandwich you will not regret it.
(5)
Bill D.

Stephanie D.

Emmie S.

(5)

The Gyros are superb. The pita was excellent. The hummus was Very good with delicate flavors. The shisk ka bob, however, was horrible. It was not chunks of lamb It was a just a hamburger rolled up to look like shisk ka bob. Yuk. Yelp shows a 2nd location...

(2)
Trevor L.
(5)

(4)

(5)

(5)
Ana O.
(3)
Paul D.
Consistently good food, sometimes a little slow, but it's worth the wait
(5)
Lance M.
this is what you do...chicken shawarma with tzatziki, add chilli hot sauce. get a combo and substitute crappy fries for lentil soup, you won't be sorry. Also, lentil soup puts hair on your chest and you will need that for the ladies...that is all.

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

(5)Nipun S.
(4)Keely G.
I had a lamb gyro and my friend had the shish kabob platter and baklava. Pros: Nicely spiced kabob and rice. Loved the hummus and pita bread. Cons: Portions were a little small for the price. Fast food atmosphere. Unable to eat on patio due to flies.
(3)Pat M.
(4)Carrera A.
(2)Lydier H.
They've got super Yammy veggie hummus sauce. I will definitely come back visit again!
(4)R J.
(5)Ophelia M.
Get to it!
(4)Justin T.
(4)Timothy L.
(5)Rebecca W.
(5)Steve T.
Great food. Great value. VERY slow...but if the food is good, it's worth it. No alcohol.
(4)Mandee R.
Yep, this place is legit! I have a hard time ordering anything else but the Gyro sandwich because it is so good! The tzatziki sauce is so good that if some spilled on my shoe, I would probably eat my shoe! All the platters are delicious, staff is always friendly and the place is always busy.
(5)Tony C.
Cheers !
(5)RC C.
(4)Priscila B.
The food was good but it has very few options to choose from. The baklava was ok. Definitely would try again.
(3)Gwen M.
Dependably great Greek food. good prices, friendly staff with an easy, casual atmosphere. We regularly order Baba ganoush, hummus, chicken gyro and lamb gyro. They all are great -- You can't go wrong here for a tasty meal. And left-overs are just as tasty.
(4)Missy B.
(1)Rhi M.
It is hard for me to go anywhere else for lunch. Everything I've had is great- but I'm hooked on the chicken shawarma. Friendly staff, clean and nice plus delicious noms. Awesome.
(4)Mary M.
Love their gryo and fries. Serve very friendly. Casual atmosphere. Worth the trip across town for this treat.
(5)Mike M.
Good Greek food. I had the shwarma, inspired by the Avengers movie of course. Good portions and price.
(4)Tyler B.
Amazing food. Got the gyro combo with pita and humus. Great price, great service and food.
(4)Brianna M.
(5)Jourdan J.
Mazzah is so delicious, I have tried most of the things on the menu, and I'm never disappointed. Prices aren't bad and the food is great. They have a few options for kids meals as well. Give it a try!
(5)Madeline T.
Tzatziki... I think yes. #delicous the pita is a slam dunk. Relatively inexpensive ($14 incl. tip for my whole meal), SUPER FAST(no meat). I would definitely come again.
(5)Molly C.
(1)Azra N.
(3)Gwendalyn P.
(5)Holly K.
(2)Jake S.
Good food - better Mediterranean cuisine than you'd think you can get in Boise. Portions are not generous, but enough for most people. Next time I plan on trying their baklava.
(4)Evy W.
(3)Jamie P.
Had the chicken kabob and it was delicious! Ate more of it than I should have. Will definitely be back!
(4)Andrew H.
Awesome place. I eaten just about everything there but my favs are - for a cheap item the lamb gyro. Best item it the chicken kabahs. The rice is amazing and so is the humus. Lenil soup is out-of this world too.
(5)Dawn T.
OMG it's so good!!! The girls at the register are awesome!! Great service, great food! Wish I lived in this town so I could come back at least once a week!! Eat the chicken shawarma sandwich you will not regret it.
(5)Bill D.
(5)Stephanie D.
They actually gave me tzatziki this time! Of course I double-checked before leaving, but hey, can't complain. This earns them back a well deserved star. Food is delicious as always, great pricing for what you get (can't beat the falafel platter). Also feel like the hummus tasted even better this time around.
(4)colleen g.
(3)John V.
(3)Brianne M.
We ordered out and it took forever, and there was hardly anyone in there. The hummus was so watery and bland. The falafel was actually pretty good and I really appreciated that they put it on real pita bread and not the flat type. But overall I would rather just make my own.
(2)Trevor L.
(3)Justin P.
Before Mazzah, I had never had authentic Baklavah and now I'm an addict. Their Hummus is by far the best I've ever had, and their pita is always fresh and perfectly grilled. It's fast and affordable too.
(5)Lindsey P.
(5)Scott R.
(3)Emmie S.
(2)RJ S.
(5)Higgs B.
(4)Darren R.
(2)M B.
Good food, friendly staff and low key atmosphere. Good food I had lamb gyro and outa with hummus and babaganosh. Very yummy!
(4)Ron D.
Good, fast Mediterranean place.
(5)Green Q.
The food was alright. I ordered the lamb shish kabob platter with a jerusalum salad. Everything was good but dolmas were bitter and not like any I've had before. The baklava was amazing.
(3)Isla A.
(5)Katie D.
(5)Kurt G.
(4)Tiffeny K.
(5)James S.
(4)Drew H.
WOW! Easily the best food I have had in Boise. They do everything really well and are super friendly and fast. I usually am reluctant to give out the 5 stars but this place deserved it. Their platters are gigantic and every bite just gets better. If you like mediterranean food then this place is it.
(5)Ana O.
(4)David F.
(3)Cliff S.
$10 for lunch, gyro drink and 3 pieces of pita w/ hummus. Food ok, service ok. I prefer the gyros from the drive thru stand on overland near the freeway in the ace hardware parking lot. Cheaper, better flavors, more food.
(3)A D.
Amazing food! I'm usually not a fan of Mediterranean, but this place is awesome. Very friendly staff, good prices considering the quality, and out of this world falafel. I never would have expected this quality of Mediterranean food in Boise. Worth a visit, you'll love it!
(5)Renee S.
After reading several reviews, we decided to go to this restaurant. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious and reasonable. It is a casual Mediterranean place. The service was good and courteous .
(5)Brandy T.

Consistently good food, sometimes a little slow, but it's worth the wait
(5)Lance M.
this is what you do...chicken shawarma with tzatziki, add chilli hot sauce. get a combo and substitute crappy fries for lentil soup, you won't be sorry. Also, lentil soup puts hair on your chest and you will need that for the ladies...that is all.
(5)Rian M.

(5)Mary A.
(4)Dubya R.
Best fast food in Boise, hands down. Their schawarma is divine, easily the best I've ever had.
(4)Kirsten V.
yummmmmmmmm.beef and lamb gyro,sooooooo goooood.
(5)Mike S.
Great gyros! This is a great lunch stop; adequate portions, good price, great food!
(5)Doug W.
Best gyro in Boise, which is what the star rating is based on. Hummus is above average, schwarma is ok. Friendly place.
(4)J B.
As a northender I have been eating here since it opened. I try to make it here at least once a month and have never been disapointed. I only eat the Gyro's so I don't know much about the rest of the menu. I would suggest it to anyone.
(4)Lou M.
(4)Tiara B.
I am big fan of Mediterranean food, and was very skeptical about getting it in Idaho. I am so glad I ran across Mazzah!!! Not only do they have my favorites (Baba Ganooj and Falafel) but I was very pleased with the decor, taste of the food, and quality customer service!
(5)J C.
Went here just to enjoy a gyro and I was not disappointed. Nice to eat outdoors. It was so good I went back the next evening. Next time I am in Boise, I'll stop in again.
(4)Joan W.
Great gyro...I stop by regularly for one. Unfortunately the hummus and falafel are not good.
(4)Michael K.
The Mediterranean food here is excellent. The meat is grilled, the portions are sized well, and the price is reasonable. If you don't know what to get, try the kabob sampler. The baklava dessert were home made and super tasty.
(4)Blu M.
Although the sit down and eat closed early, takeout was still offered and received. The food is cram in belly and find more room good. It's some of the best.
(5)Rebecca W.
(5)Steve T.
(5)Tony C.
Cheers !
(5)RC C.
(4)Missy B.
(5)Timothy L.
(5)Mike M.
Good Greek food. I had the shwarma, inspired by the Avengers movie of course. Good portions and price.
(4)Tyler B.
Amazing food. Got the gyro combo with pita and humus. Great price, great service and food.
(4)Brianna M.
(5)Molly C.

(3)Gwendalyn P.

(5)Nipun S.
(4)Keely G.
I had a lamb gyro and my friend had the shish kabob platter and baklava. Pros: Nicely spiced kabob and rice. Loved the hummus and pita bread. Cons: Portions were a little small for the price. Fast food atmosphere. Unable to eat on patio due to flies.
(3)Pat M.
(4)Carrera A.
(2)Lydier H.
They've got super Yammy veggie hummus sauce. I will definitely come back visit again!
(4)R J.
(5)Ophelia M.
Get to it!
(4)Justin T.
(4)Holly K.
(2)Jake S.
Good food - better Mediterranean cuisine than you'd think you can get in Boise. Portions are not generous, but enough for most people. Next time I plan on trying their baklava.
(4)Evy W.
(5)Bill D.
(3)Lindsey P.
(5)Scott R.
(3)Emmie S.
(2)RJ S.
(5)Higgs B.
(4)John V.
(3)Justin P.
Before Mazzah, I had never had authentic Baklavah and now I'm an addict. Their Hummus is by far the best I've ever had, and their pita is always fresh and perfectly grilled. It's fast and affordable too.
(5)Darren R.
(3)Isla A.
(5)Katie D.
(5)Kurt G.
(4)Cliff S.
(5)Tiffeny K.

Consistently good food, sometimes a little slow, but it's worth the wait

this is what you do...chicken shawarma with tzatziki, add chilli hot sauce. get a combo and substitute crappy fries for lentil soup, you won't be sorry. Also, lentil soup puts hair on your chest and you will need that for the ladies...that is all.
