Ineptitude or fraud? Hard to tell. I'm guessing ineptitude, but who knows.. Went there for the first time yesterday evening, during happy hour. Asked the server (who seemed bored and unfriendly) what beer was the half-off rotating micro-brew. She told me it was the Summer Shandy.. so I ordered that one, with some nachos. Great brew.. but later, the check arrived, and I was charged the full price for the beer. A woman in the group I was with who had gotten to Legends before I did had also been told by the server that Summer Shandy was the half price micro-brew. This woman was also charged full price. We decided to speak to the waitress about it. She told us the half off brew was something else. We told her she had earlier told both of us it was the Summer Shandy. The waitress came, heard what we had to say.. back and forth like a shady used car salesperson.. finally got the approval of her manager to revise the bill so we would pay less for the beer we'd ordered. By this time a half hour had passed. Yes, I should have spoken directly to the manager, instead of letting the waitress handle it. This was my mistake.. but my mistake is nothing compared to that of the staff. I had to wait yet longer, because they were having trouble running my card. Never had a problem with my card in any restaurant before.. no trouble at all.. but they had to keep re-running it, the server said. I thought.. hmm.. had to wait 45 minutes to get my bill changed, and it is not exactly busy in here.. are they messing with me? I FINALLY got a revised bill and, I had thought, my card finally charged properly. I kept my cool.. maybe I shouldn't have. I tend to be one of those people who is too nice. But, I have always believed that nothing gets solved by being angry and aggressive with other people. (I am starting to think I am wrong about this). Luckily, the woman who also had been overcharged, and who waited with me, was great company. I think she's a big reason why I was in a mellow mood about all this. When I left the place, I felt good about having saved three bucks, and having gotten justice. Or so I thought.. Now it's the next day.. Just checked my bank account online. Wow. They charged me TWICE!! I ended up paying BOTH bills.. the bill with the beer at full price, and the bill with the beer at half price. Is this how they treat customers who want good service and honesty? An unfriendly waitress who doesn't know how to do her job, and a manager who seems just as bad? How do I fix this? I didn't keep both receipts, so I don't know how. If the staff is this horrible, I don't expect things will get better if I call them today and try to get my money back. I have never EVER been ripped off at a restaurant.. not like this.

This is a great place for happy hour and a late dinner. I arrived in Boise from Oakland, and by the time we checked in and headed out, it was already past 10 and most of the nearby restaurants were closed. Legends still had happy hour until 11. Most items were $5 or less and they had a decent selection of microbrews. Service was good, and the total tab was about $20/person. I got the cheeseburger sliders, half order of wings, and had some sweet potato fries and chips/salsa that my co-worker ordered. Everything was pretty good, and cheap! Very close to Oxford Suites where we are staying. Probably could have walked, but we drove as we were originally intending to go somewhere further away. They have lots of flat screens, so it would be a perfect place to watch a game and have a few beers.

I have gone here previously for both dates and social gatherings and had excellent experiences. It is definitely a spot for sports fans - be it NFL, college, or whatever happens to be on. This has always been a destination for either pre- or post-movie commentaries with a mixture of sports talk in between. The most recent time I went here was with my date and one of her friends. This time here was not as great as previous visits. At first the waitress had a talk with us about movies and such, good so far... then took our drink orders... no problem. However she vanished for what seemed to be a good 20-25 minutes before another gentleman (I perceived to be the manager) came by and re-took our drink orders, and eventually the food. All three of us were impressed with his honesty about the time length before our movie start time (Brave), and even though my stomach sort of disagreed with the quesadilla I had (the other two had little to no complaints), overall the experience was fun.

Stopped in 10:00 p.m. on a Saturday to grab a quick bite and watch the end of a few MLS games. They had one game on and when we asked to see if they could find another, the waitress just shrugged her shoulders as if to say, "whats on is on". OK, no problem. We ordered and then watched as a group of 30 from a nursing convention came into the bar area. The staff had no idea how to deal with this influx of patrons while our food came in good time, (without any silverware until we asked), then we requested waters three time before it came. The food saved the visit as it was very good for happy hour prices and late in the evening. The concern was watching the train wreck that ensued as the staff tried to deal with the large party. If I was in the group I would have given up and gone somewhere else as it was easily 20 minutes from the time they sat down until the first cocktail arrived. As usual - I blame management and not the staff. There was not a manager in sight during the hour we were there.

Have eaten here a few times despite negative reviews from Yelpers. How is this place still in business? All I can say is this place is Legendary for all the wrong reasons, it is a real shame because the space could be a great sports bar. The problem being the food is overpriced pub grub, made consistently awful and lacking any flavor. What makes bad food worse is the amount of time you have to wait, 45-50 mins when it's not busy is terrible service. If you still wish to eat here is what you can expect. The decor is pretty dated, dirty floors, tables, and a menu that will have you paying $10-$14 for anything that in other restaurants would be decent. I'm guessing the food Gets better the more you drink..so bottom ' up! Unfortunately for them I chose to eat while sober and so was my palette I opted for the Chicken Strips/fries and they taste like grease, they were over breaded and lukewarm. (My favorite lol) Also picked off friends appetizers as they did not find them very appetizing either. This place may have been good at one time but my experiences say AVOID THIS PLACE, save your money.

I been going here twice a month for business meetings and the place is okay. It's near a movie theater in an area I don't frequent other than for these particular meetings. I have lunch and that's about it. The food, quite frankly is nothing to write home about. I've yet to find any signature dish they serve during the lunch hour. Don't get me wrong, it's okay for the price and all, but I also wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

It's been almost 2 years since our last give-a-go at this restaurant, I was willing to give a second chance. However.....I am kind of bummed to say the mark is still being missed. Came on a Saturday around 1ish. The place was absolutely dead. Bartender was our server, very nice and friendly guy. Restaurant was clean. Food prep time was ridiculously slow. I remembered "checking in" after I ordered and referenced back to see how long it took. Close to 30 mins for 2 salads, 1 kids hamburger and a wrap. Needless to say the kids were very antsy and hard to wrangle for that long. Worst part is, the steak on my "black and bleu salad" was cooked to well done and so tough that even my steak knife had a hard time. Sent back and waited.....was pleased it didn't take as long second time around and was cooked medium as I had originally requested. Salad itself was blah.....waaaayyyyy too much Caesar dressing. I was impressed our server was attentive to the mistake and offered a fair compensation. So my 2 stars go to our waiter/bartender. I would give him a 4, but the food and food prep was just not good. So I have to lower the rating. Bummer!

Where do I start we go in for a big game night they didn't have tvs tuned to the game they waited to last second to do it and the obvious happened they finally said it was tuned right as we were waiting for the game we realized kick off had been 10 minutes before than we finally got the signal in. Later in the game all the other tvs in the place were on the wrong station so everyone that was there missed out. Now for the food. We had to order it from a bar than we waited over an hour to get it when it arrived they gave it to the wrong table which was found out soon so we got it back to our table. The server didn't seem to know the menu we finally got our food the hostesses looked at me like I had 2 heads when at the beginning of the busy night for them they didn't care enough to have soap in their bathroom I mean gross do they even wash their hands eew if I could put a rating of zero I would

I love coming here. The bartenders are friendly and willing to change whatever TV to whatever game you need. The happy hour is killer with great beer and food specials.

Absolutely ridiculous. Took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food and then they had the nerve to include a 17% gratuity. All the TV's in the world couldn't make up for the abysmal service. Do yourself a favor and pick any of the restaurants close by. You won't be nearly as disappointed.

Think TGIFridays or Applebees but BIGGER.... Solid 3.5 stars..... Met a friend here on St Patricks day for some dinner. She was here with a group that she had been working with all week. There were about 8 in the group and Jeremy our server did a great job. They have a quality happy hour menu and a regular menu to suit just about everyone. [Veggie/Vegan options are limited.] They have a large bar area of seating and the restaurant area has plenty of room for large groups. They also have a room for private parties too. Food's good, service is good, nothing bad to say honestly....

Nic: Should we? Ran: What? *looks over and sees the Yelp page up* Oh. Yeah. Let's do it. Nic: You first. Ran: Do you want the long or the short version? Short version: I can't remember the last time I was so disappointed at a restaurant. Nic: Whoa! Explain! Ran: Well, you were there. They weren't busy, and it still took forever to get a drink order to us. Forty-five minutes. Part of that wait time was the three times that the server had to come back to the table to tell us that the beers we ordered were not available. If that wasn't bad enough, the food was terrible. Nic: I can't remember what you had. I had a pizza that was raw in the middle and was so gritty from burnt cornmeal that it felt like eating sand. I stopped after half a slice, it was inedible. Ran: That's right! I had pizza too, but mine was so undercooked that the cheese wasn't all the way melted, and ours sat so long, waiting for our incredibly slow server to bring them to us (and it was NOT busy!) that they were cold by the time they reached the table. Nic: And you couldn't even get the beers to wash it down with! What in the world is going on in that place? Ran: I don't know. But I bet I know why it wasn't busy!

I stopped in on Saturday evening around 9:30 to enjoy the beginning of the second happy hour. We ordered a pitcher of Mack & Jack (Washington-based beer) and a round of hot wings. They are spicy! There are a bunch of TV's right by the bar where you'll find several places to sit. Though we didn't venture into the dining room, it looked like a decent place to have a casual dinner. Hard to determine the returnability factor for this place, but I liked what I saw as I passed through Boise. They've got two happy hours: 1/2 price on rotating microbrews and all domestic bottles and drafts, 16 and 22oz.. A couple select happy hour appetizer specials. Daily from 3p.m. to 6 p.m. and 9:30p.m. to 11:00p.m.

Not a place I would recommend. There food is spice and their hamburger is not mixed well. I kept tasting big bites of pepper. I will say the servers are friendly!
(2)

Meh... not a fan had there rib eye and it was over cooked and char boiled and was not worth the 17 bucks there beer selection was ok just your typical draft beers with a few craft beers I went to watch a game but all the TVs were at weird angles so it was hard to watch would I go back? Probably not i'm sure there are better sports bars out there.

I'm visiting Boise for my niece's graduation with my family. We wanted burgers and headed to Fudruckers, but they were closed. So we went to Legends. The menu looked great...lots of variety. There were 8 in our party but the place was nearly empty. We ordered 3 burgers. My dad ordered his medium rare but it came out WELL done so he sent it back. The second one came out better. I was sharing a burger with someone...we ordered it medium but it too was well done. I'm not sure why they bother to ask you how you want your burger if that's the only way they know how to cook them. The bun was sort of dry. I also ordered my fries crispy. they not only were not crispy but they were luke warm. actually everyone's fries were bad. my mom ordered steamed class and they had red pepper flakes in them, which were not listed as an ingredient, which my mom can't eat. my nephew ordered a BLT and it only had tomato on one half. We also had two pizzas which were decent. The crust was thin and crispy and the ingredients were good. They offered us two free desserts, but they were out of both of the desserts we ordered. All in all the food was marginal and I wouldn't go back there.

Just had dinner here for Mother's Day and it was not the best. The burgers my family got were great but I decided to build my own pasta, and the waitress mistook my order. She brought the pasta out that I ordered with a vodka cream sauce and instead It had some sort of marinara on it. When I pointed it out to her she told me that was their vodka cream sauce, there was no cream or much of a sauce but she didn't offer to fix it when she saw I didn't touch it. Aside from that our sever wasn't very friendly wasn't great at giving us a refill on waters, and just frankly wasn't very nice. I'm a server and I know, as she should, tips depend on good service. We still tipped 18% but there's no way we re ever going back.

We stopped in for happy hour before seeing The Avengers and spent less on our alcoholic beverages (Long Island for me, double gin and tonic for him) and two generously portioned appetizers than we would have spent on concessions for fountain drinks and half as much food. My fries were excellent, light and crispy with just a sprinkling of sea salt. Service was prompt and friendly. Also, the bar area is large and roomy. You don't feel like you're right on top of other patrons. It was a lot nicer than I expected for a generic sounding sports bar. I wish we discovered this place sooner but we'll definitely stop in the next time we go to the movies. Update: they currently have a huckleberry cosmo on the drink menu. Very sweet, but yummy.

This place was ok. It reminds me a lot of Cheerleaders on Eagle Rd but a little less inviting. The food was a little bland and straight forward however the fries were pretty good. I was recommended to come here for the wraps but was not impressed.

We've been here twice and I would definitely recommend eating here. To be honest, we only came back the second time because we were so surprised how good the food was the first time and we wanted to see if it was a fluke. No fluke. Great food. I'm even surprised I'm typing it, but it's true. The white bean chili is stellar as are the fajitas. We had the sweet potato fries as an appetizer because our server warned us that the fajitas took a little longer to cook. He was actually quite helpful. Because the movie theater is next door, our server made sure to ask if we had a showtime that we needed to make. Then he recommended items from the menu that were good and would be ready in the time we had. It's a sports bar so there are jerseys and sports pictures on the wall and TV's everywhere, but we'll be back for the food.

Friendly staff. Service a tiny bit slow at times but pleasant. Food always has been tasty. I order the Bayou chicken every time and highly recommend about $9 without a salad. My husband orders the burger bun is soft and great quality taste and meat. I'm not a fry person but I love the fries here! Casual place with plenty of tvs to catch some sports. decent prices, service, and good food!

Legends is a good sports bar for games during the day. But because its in an area near a convention center didnt seem that there was many patrons when I was there. Its conveniently located next to several hotels and a movie theatre. So for folks who don't have a car, this was perfect as it was across the street from where I stayed. Place was pretty dead Labor Day weekend. Went in 2x. Mainly to drink. Good beer selection. I ordered fish tacos and to my surprise was very good. There's a sand volleyball court outside, but not sure how much play it gets. The place closes early and the bartender recommended another bar and grill that's open til 2am every night as Legends closed Saturday night about 1am and on Sunday night was 10pm. Good place to pick up some food if you're the business traveler staying in the area. If ur looking for cheaper food than the standard prices of $10-$15 for your entree, Costco is walking distance to get your $1.50 polish dog and drink.

I am so happy to hear that I am not the only one who thinks their waitstaff sucks! It isn't as bad as Cheerleaders but it is still not good what so ever. Their food is over priced but most items are done well. I think the overpriced food/beer/liquor is due to the central location (by movie theaters, hotels, and the airport) but you should have a decent overall experience.

Legends is a great place. The food is always great and the staff are very attentive. The booths in the restaurant section are large and comfortable and have great views of all of the games on tv. It's a great place to watch a game, have a beer, and have a really good meal.
(4)

Really underwhelming. If you really feel as if your self-esteem is too high, go to Legends. You will receive "legendary" poor service that will cause you to go check to see if you have really bad breath or leprosy. They treat you "that well" at legends. The upside to this restuarant (earning them a generous one-star rating) is that their food is poor quality and prepared with average skill and imagination. If you enjoy the thrill of picking brown produce out of your food, spending money on animal-grade meats, and want it all with a surly kick-to-the-head service standard than Legends is for you!
(1)

If you sit in the bar area, you can always get quick service. Great happy hour specials, an excellent variety of beers, and medeocre food. I went to eat there one night and sat at a table instead of the bar. Bad idea. The server brought us our drinks and then sat talking to the bartender so long without taking our food order that we just paid for our drinks and left.
(3)

The waitstaff sucked, but the meal was great. I had the Fish Taco's. Not many places make Fish Taco's with Halibut any more. And they were the perfect tone of spicy. The waitress' were incredibly unfriendly. Hence, the 3 stars.

This is one of our regulars. Consistently great service, very upbeat staff, good food -especially the pizza, and revolving tap. Perfect for dinner and drinks before a movie!

I'm currently sitting in legends have been sitting at the bar staring at 3 bartenders waiting to be helped for 15 minutes.

Meh... not a fan had there rib eye and it was over cooked and char boiled and was not worth the 17 bucks there beer selection was ok just your typical draft beers with a few craft beers I went to watch a game but all the TVs were at weird angles so it was hard to watch would I go back?

Great food, lots of TV'S, for every sport being played. Their soups are all delicious, they only make 2 a day.

Good happy hour and good burgers. I hear their pizza is good too. They have an old brick over they bake them in.

First time here.. Perfect place to come for happy hour 3-6 9-11 and watch some games..

Not a place to enjoy if you lack patience, service was sllloooow for drinks and food and it was't even busy. Food was just okay, nothing spectacular.

The waitstaff sucked, but the meal was great. I had the Fish Taco's. Not many places make Fish Taco's with Halibut any more. And they were the perfect tone of spicy. The waitress' were incredibly unfriendly. Hence, the 3 stars.
