I come here often. Great selection of healthful meals including a juice bar. You can create your own mixture if you wish. The vibe is very warm and friendly. Service is terrific. Highly recommend any of the sandwiches. Free wifi. Espresso drinks. And happy hour from 3-6. Live music on select days. Gem of a place!

Ryan and I checked out the new Kind Cafe. I got a cultivate (build your own) plate: rice, veggies, chimichurri with tofu. You got to pay however much you wanted for it, which in turn pays for someone who might not be able to afford it. Kinda cool. Ryan got some delicious vegan tacos. I got a house made coconut lime kombucha, he got a fresh juiced apple ginger spritzer. His food came with a big helping of chips and salsa. Very good food! Staff is so friendly and makes sure you really have everything you need to make your meal perfect! Service was a wee bit slow, but they're so new I don't think it'll be a problem.

I've had brunch, lunch, and dinner at Kind Cuisine Cafe - and every meal was impressive and delicious. The Chic Florentine Scramble is packed with nutrition and flavor. I got smashers (potatoes) on the side - yum! Slurped it down with a kale/apple/lemon juice. The juice, although fresh, was pretty expensive compared to other green juices in town (even Whole Foods juice is cheaper). The breakfast burrito is another great breakfast item. Filled me up but didn't make me experience that disgusting, "too full" feeling. For lunch, I recommend the Trip to Tico wrap (Mexican) and the Glorious Garden sandwich (think - avocado and chevre goat cheese). I once had a Moroccan dish for dinner - might have been a speciality item. Many of their dinner items are unique dishes that you can't find at many restaurants around town. I appreciate the fact that they can do most of their items vegan or gluten free - even though I'm not vegan or gluten intolerant. It speaks volumes when restaurants are creative enough to incorporate a variety of dietary restrictions into yummy food that fills you up. Note - I took my meat-loving boyfriend here. He ate a vegetarian Mediterranean wrap and loved it. He didn't miss the meat at all. I was pleasantly shocked! Friendly employees and laid back atmosphere with cool art. Definitely a fun spot. I just wish it was downtown!

I feel like I hit the jackpot with this place. I am traveling to Boise for business and did a little research on healthy, vegan/ gluten free friendly restaurants and Kind Cuisine Café came up. I am so glad I took the advice of the other yelpers and gave this place a shot!! Had the most amazing Chilaquiles Tofu Scramble and my friend (not vegan/gf) had a chickpea wrap. As we were sitting eating, all we could hear around us was conversations about how great the food was here. I will most definitely be returning every time I am in town. My friend however, will be here EVERYDAY she says as she is shoving the food in her mouth. lol Hope this place continues to grow and decides to open a second location in Seattle. You never know, dreams do come true.

Stopped by for my first time today with my mom and was pleasantly surprised! Very welcoming and attentive service, delicious food and a unique atmosphere as well. I felt like I was eating in someones home, not just a restaurant. I ordered a wrap with a side of quinoa and my mom had a salad. Then we finished things off with a slice of vegan cheesecake and it was incredible. I'd even go so far as to say I liked it more than regular cheesecake! I can't believe I hadn't stopped in sooner but I am very glad I finally did. Probably the best option for vegan and vegetarian food in Boise in my opinion. I will definitely be back!

Kind might turn me into a vegetarian...maybe even a vegan. Have tried about 7 or 8 different menu items so far and all of them have been awesome. Especially the vegetarian chili- possibly my favorite. Can't say for sure, though--I really love everything here. Especially the hindi bindi wrap. And the nachos. And the vegan pizza. And the soups...and the friendly staff...and the comfortable atmosphere...and the value. I was surprised at what a great value everything is, considering the great quality. I may not be vegan and Kind may be the only vegan restaurant I've ever been to, but I know great food when I eat it. And I've eaten plenty of it at Kind.

Went out to the Kind Cuisine Cafe without all the kiddos for quiet evening out. They have a very relaxed ambiance.... Not expensive table service style, but friendly. The thing that really shone here was the AMAZING FOOD. I can't eat dairy or eggs without feeling sick, so it was outstanding for me to be able to have dairy free options for anything on the menu. The RICE CHEESE was fantastic. They also make an outstanding *Garlic Cashew spread* that was heavenly. I'm a bit delayed on this review so I can't remember the exact menu item names, but I had a fantastic plate that had salad, pita, hummus, and the amazing garlic cashew spread. On the menu it comes with feta. We also had cookies, and boy! we nearly ordered a second serving of the cookies each :) Fellow yelper recommended the fresh pressed hot apple cider. THANK YOU. It was absolutely delicious, so if you like apple cider, don't miss it here!

My boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito and said it was delicious. I had poached eggs and the house seed bread, which was so good I bought half a loaf. I ordered the green lemonade to drink, which I would highly recommend. The wait staff was very nice and attentive and the ambiance was cute and full of local art. The only downside was my boyfriends coffee, which wasn't great - get a juice instead : ).

Awesome! The Heart Beet juice is very hearty and refreshing (I added kale for an extra boost and because I love the flavor). I ordered the veggie sandwich, the balsamic pesto was perfect! This place has lots of veg and vegan options, check it out!

For brunch we ordered two of the vegan specials- french toast and turnover with sides of avocado toast and potato smasher and sipped on the Heart Beet juice. We listened to the music on the patio and played cards while we waited- only got two hands in before our food came. Very fast and friendly service. We could have ordered everything and would have been satisfied. The french toast had candied rhubarb on top which was delicious and was stuffed with house made cashew ricotta. The two fat pieces of toast allowed me to take one home for leftovers. The turnover/omlet had the savory side down pat. The crunch of the slaw and vegan bacon strips melded well with the creamy avocado on top and spices of the tomato chutney perfectly. We will definitely be returning here! I'm also sure our non-vegan friends would be pleased as well with the brunch options.

I can definitely see why people really like this place. has a great atmosphere, kind service, healthy food and a variety of selections on their menu. If you are a vegetarian or vegan this would be an excellent place for you to go. I am just not either of those I want my protein through meet chicken steak or something. So it is a restaurant that just caters to a select group. but they do it well. I had a salad and it was a good portion with very fresh vegetables and ingredients. they also have a great selection of healthy drinks. anyone that is a diabetic would love this place also.

I've eaten here twice and enjoyed both visits! My first visit I ordered a tofu scramble which was delicious! My second visit I order a gluten free wrap and chili on the side. The wrap was flavorful and the chili was my favorite part! I defiantly recommend !

Great spot and good food. The ambiance is really great, I love the vibe. The service was top notch as well. Was hoping for more bold flavors. My wife and I split the tacos and the curry wrap with two sides; a cup of vegan chili and a cup of spaghetti squash minestrone soup. The tacos were ok.. I'm not thinking about them today. I added japs and tapatio for some punch. The curry wrap was the best but still light in flavor, punch with some curry won't ya? It was also served with a sweet chutney which should've been savory and spicy. The minestrone was top notch. Hoping this place finds some more bold flavors... Price, only 18 dollars and we were both completely full.

I want to like this place but I think it's still finding it's feet. One problem I have with healthy restaurants in general is that they are overpriced, which turns off a large part of the market. Quality ingredients aren't cheap, but beans, bread, and rice aren't exactly luxury goods either. We stopped in for brunch today, and had the choice of breakfast or lunch food. I had the field and dreams salad, which was fresh mixed greens, pickled onions, yams, orange segments, and walnuts. All the ingredients were good and crisp, but the portion was pretty meager for $8.00. My friend had the Rita Pita Pizza, which was basically a pita pizza, for $8.00, which had skimpy toppings and also seemed overpriced. She enjoyed her smoothie (for $6.00!) made with fresh fruit, and I liked my coffee. Mashed avocado toast that we added on because we were still hungry, was absurd. For $4.50, we a piece of diner-sized toast, with some avocado and nutritional yeast on top. At least I didn't have to worry about portion control or getting a to-go box. I know I'm harping on prices, but I felt like I could get food that tasted much better at other local places: Fork, Juniper, Locavore, etc that is just as healthy and quality. Banking on the health halo to support the restaurant and the prices is irritating. I love the idea of the Cultivate plate, however, which you can buy and pay extra for to support meals for those who can't afford as much. As a vegan, I also support any restaurant who makes eating cruelty-free a priority. I think it's great they have healthy food and are a much needed third option for veg*ns in Boise. I just think they're relying on being in a small market and not serving the quality they could. I spent several years in Santa Monica where they had amazing vegan food, and I think Boise could really step up and do better. (California haters, stop. I'm a native. I just took an extended vacation to the beach, so I don't want to hear it.) We'd make better inroads into the meat and potatoes crowd if we presented tastier, more accessable food at prices people could afford.

Love the look and art of the place. Great vegan chocolate chip cookies. Interesting original dishes. Very nice staff.

Went in for brunch today with a friend. Food was great but very small portion for the price. The service was mediocre at best . We were one of 3 tables and someone took our order, brought our food and that was it. We actually went to get our check 15 minutes after we had finished our food. I was told the check would be brought to our table shortly. Pretty sure I might still be waiting for the check. I will go back again however.

Everytime I go there I order their garden sandwich. I cannot get it enough! Perfect combinations of veggie, cream avocado and goat cheese with quick pickled veggies. Not a fan of the miso soup but the nachos make up for it. Fun juice ideas there too. You leave feeling like they care about what you eat.

Great, little hidden gem vegetarian restaurant! Have an awesome coffee bar, smoothie bar, wheat grass shots. I had a mock tuna sandwich, obviously no tuna, but with chickpeas and tofu. It was delicious! They even have local beers on tap and wine. There is live music on the weekends too!

I went for lunch today and thought the food was fantastic. I got vegan tacos, i don't remember the name but they were so good. The atmosphere was cute and the service was great! I didn't have to wait long and they were very friendly. I will be back!

Overall, I can't wait to go back and try more! Setting the stage: I have been vegan for almost 6 years and consider myself a plant-based foodie, so this may sound harsh in areas, but I am trying to give you all an honest assessment of my impressions. FOOD RATING: Tun-Ish Sandwich - Excellent for a vegan tuna salad and worlds above the one at Shangri La (get pickles on it, btw). The Falafel wrap was small but dense with excellent flavor and surprisingly moist for falafel. The corn chowder was not the best. It was more of a veggie stew, good and flavorful, but not creamy or buttery, which I do expect in a "chowder." The cookies are delicious, moist and chewy and the Berry Shortcake was satisfying, healthy and not too sweet. Overall, as vegans, we were impressed with the food, even for Boise. However, no sides come with the sandwiches, which would have been nice to know. I think they should add a little something (a salad, cole slaw, chips, etc.). There are many more things I am eager to try on the menu that are tough to make vegan such as quiche! SERVICE RATING: Not the best. It's hard to find good vegan food and good service really anywhere except Portland or Denver, in my experience. Our sandwiches came out at different times, which was awkward because I was starving. Our waters came 5min after our food came though we'd ordered them before, we received only one napkin, and it took at least 15min for the pre made desserts to appear (after returning inside to ask for them to go because we had to leave). However, the staff was incredibly friendly and clearly enjoys their work. I think they are just getting the hang of things and a feel for the staff:customer ratio. PRICING: Reasonable, about the same as the Co-Op. $6-$8 for a sandwich. Definitely worth it, especially if you support their cause. COMPARED TO OTHER VEGAN JOINTS IN BOISE: I am not a fan of Shangri la. Yes, they have some vegan things, but none of them are impressive and they are all bland. In my book, Kind Cuisine stands world above SL (not to mention the service at SL is just unacceptable). Compared to the BBQ4LIFE (formally MFT), I like Kind, mainly because I can make everything at BBQ4LIFE better (they seriously need a lesson on vegan mac and cheese!!!) 10 Barrel has some vegan options, but they are bay over priced. Juniper does too, but no real protein options. Mazza has multiple options if you life Greek food. And of course the Thai restaurants (Thai cuisine is the best because they know what vegan means, Mai Thai is WAY over priced and has lied to me about ingredients, along with Chang Mai, who have literally lied to me twice when chicken was found in soup!) AN ADDED BENEFIT: Kind Cuisine is really making an effort to help those in the community who cannot afford healthy food. They have a menu item called "Generosity Plates." It's build your own plate with no price attached! If you can pay the full $6-$9 value, you sure a heck better pay it, but if you truly cannot afford it, then they will gladly hand it over at no cost. DO NOT ABUSE THIS, PEOPLE!! Hopefully it will open up the healthful world of vegan cuisine to those who have not yet seen the light. If you can pay for it, pay it forward. Ok, I'm done. Go here. Support them. We need more of these places, or we're all going to die of heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
