    Ate here for the third time. Again it was fantastic. Fettuccini with scallops was good. I enjoyed the cannelloni last time and think it was better. All three visits here have been good. Twice with a small group of friends and this time with my husband.

    Visited Cafe Vicino for the first time for our anniversary. The meal started with a very nice bottle of Sangiovese (me) and Pinot Grigio (for her). We ordered with the stuffed figs (terrific!) and each had a salad. The bacon-wrapped cheese-stuffed figs in honey sauce were a perfect start. My arugula salad included a stuffed pepper that was interesting in a very good way. For dinner she had the fresh halibut special and I had the proscuitto-wrapped chicken breast. My wife raved about the halibut. Well prepared. Nice sauce. The chicken was good, with nice flavor, but a bit dry. The fried polenta that came with the chicken wasn't so great, but the rest of the plate was very nice and well prepared/seasoned. My wife declared the bread pudding with a pecan rum caramel sauce to be the best she has ever had -- and she's no pushover when it comes to her desserts. Throughout, we enjoyed very pleasant and professional service from a knowledgeable and waiter. We'd recommend it and will certainly return.

    Okay, as far as food, this is the best restaurant in Boise. Chef Richard is a treasure. The food is inventive and consistently delicious. I love the fingerling potatoes and Gorgonzola soufflé, the honey drizzled, roasted, prosciutto wrapped figs, and the sausage cannelloni. If there is a detractor, it's a location in a strip mall in front of the co-op, easily overlooked for such amazing food. One of the few not to miss spots in Boise.

    Fantastic. Great service. Nice atmosphere. We would have sat outside but it was a little cool out. We had them make us a cheese plate which was great. They were out of calamari. I had the tomato soup with a side of fried polenta. Yummy. My husband had the halibut and he enjoyed it as well. We did not get dessert we were too full. Loved it and would go back in heartbeat.

    Went for drinks and appetizers to check it out before we decided to have dinner there. The stuffed figs were delicious and the chickpea fritter was surprisingly light and yummy. The calamari though was disappointing. It was under seasoned and not crisp. We decided to try it for dinner on the weekend. The fritter was again delicious and we thought we would try the scallop. The scallop was not quite hot in the middle so it was ok. It seemed to be missing something because it is served in a sweet potato purée. It's a bit too much soft going on. The salads were both good. We had the house and the beet salad. For dinner I had the cod which was very tasty and it was cooked perfectly. The only problem was one clam in the dish was very fishy and it was not good. I did not get sick later so I guess maybe it was just not cooked completely?? My husband had the flat iron and it was cooked to perfection. Dessert was the hazelnut tart and it was decadent and rich. I would definitely recommend as a go but maybe avoid the seafood.

    I went there at lunch time and it wasn't busy at all, which is suprising because the food was sooooo good! The service was quick and the food was very fresh and tasted homemade. Romantic setting too, would be great to take a date to. I definitely reccomnend it!!!

    Just went here on New Years Eve and really enjoyed it. The food was good; I always like it when they use as much local ingredients as possible. The wine list is also very nice with a good selection from all over. Our server could have smiled a bit more but it was late and I'm sure she was tired. The only other not so grand feature is that the seating is very close together but despite this we still enjoyed the atmosphere that night. My wife and I started with a Basque sausage, roasted garlic and manchego flatbread that was a special that evening. It was delicious! For the main course my wife had the duck breast stuffed with spinach & parmesan in an orange sauce on a pilaf of organic farro with almonds & cinnamon. That was delicious as well. I had the Butternut squash, chicken & sage pasta with a Parmesan cream sauce. It was alright, slightly bland but not bad. All in all I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting a nice Italian place to eat in Boise.

    I was absolutely amazed by Cafe Vicino tonight. The service is what you should expect from a $20+ per plate restaurant - professional, educated and out of the way. More importantly was the food. We started with pan seared scallops on a bed of yams; followed by a Caesar salad with anchovies and then duck breast and lentils. I have cooked duck myself and much to my chagrin I have never been able to render the fat as perfectly as they did. I have had duck cooked by the greatest chefs in America - tonight was just as good if not better. I have never given a five star review to any restaurant before. Do yourselves a favor, get a baby sitter, set $150.00 aside and have an amazing dinner and a bottle of wine.

    Wow! What can I say? Probably one of the best dining experiences ever. Probably the fact that my company was amazing might've helped. However, I have to say. Wine was delicious, food was perfect, from the appetizer to the dessert. Even their own coffee!! We went and I had something out of the Valentine's Day special menu and my ribs were so tender and so perfectly cooked. The sweet pea purée and the carrot purée added the perfect sweetness while the shoestring potatoes the perfect crunch. My lovely date had a prosciutto wrapped chicken and my friend was that good. It was so moist inside and the crunchiness of the prosciutto was so amazingly unique. The polenta just added a final texture to the overall amazing dish. We shared prosciutto and basil wrapped figs with Gorgonzola and I could've had that for dinner alone! We shared as well a chocolate hazelnut torte that made me want to marry the pastry chef of that restaurant. Because damn it was good! I'm very involved in the food business myself and absolutely love food. I normally do a whole sensory evaluation of what I eat. And it was SO good that I had to send the compliments to the chef! I'll definitely will be going back whenever I'm back in Boise because it's so amazingly worth it! The staff was very friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. When we mentioned we were on a date and it was our first time they made sure to provide a great table by the window and were on top to make sure we would experience what we did! Cafe Vicino, you're AMAZING! Please share that torte recipe with me because I want to make it for my family back in Brazil! Ha! If you have the opportunity, PLEASE go visit it! Worth every penny!

    This is consistently the best food in Boise. It's always at the top of our list for a celebration dinner. The menu is fresh, seasonal, and interesting. Love all the salad choices, and seasonal specials. Most recently had the halibut special, which was buttery and delicious. All the desserts are amazing. They are nice about bringing in wine, with a cork fee, and the co-op next door has an amazing selection. My only slight complaint is the noise level can get a bit high, so you have to speak loudly at the table. The service is top notch, and may be a bit too hovering for my taste, but most people appreciate it. Will continue to look forward to good meals at Richards/Cafe Vicino.

    Had another great lunch today. Good crowd for lunch, good to see. The only real change we noted that they have done away with white cloth table clothes at lunch. Still white cloth napkins though. The food and service is still wonderful. Although the menu changes, we thoroughly enjoyed the grilled shrimp with risotto cakes and cream basil sauce and the Cannelloni with sausage, spinach and ricotta filling. A wonderfully smooth tomato cream sauce accompanied the cannelloni, almost akin to a tomato bisque soup, but more substantial. The same great bread and infused olive oil was also served. Our favorite appetizer is still the gorgonzola stuffed figs, wrapped with prosciutto and drizzled with honey. Still one of the best choice for a lunch or dinner.

    This is one of my favorite Boise restaurants. It really does feel like a neighborhood spot, they are welcoming and friendly and accommodating. The quiet atmosphere can be romantic, or accommodate a group. It's downtown food without the downtown hassle. The food is creative, fresh, and delicious. I dream about their brown butter sage ravioli. It's heaven. The scallops are an amazing starter and of course, great wine recommendations too.

    Ashley our server was fantastic! Her wine recommendation was perfect. The fig appetizer and potato, mushroom and crab soup were fantastic! I also chose the duck pasta but it was just okay... I wish it had a cream sauce instead of broth.

    We were visitors to Boise for the first review. Now area residents Cafe Vicino is our favorite restaurant for charming ambiance, wonderful service, a varied and evolving menu and fine food preparation. In forced choice close of being able to choose only one restaurant in the Boise area for dining in perpetuity, Cafe Vicino would be our selection. Whether celebrating happy news or trying to take the edge off unhappy news or weighing pros and cons of decisions, this is our place to talk about it over warm hospitality and good food. Dinner service was first review topic but we also enjoy LUNCH where where one can linger to dine or eat and go. MENU: Lunch prices range from appeitzers as little as $6 to combination of soup and salad or sandwiches for around $9.00 to $11.00 or specials and pastas for around $15.00. My hubby and I have seen folks come in at lunch to choose lighter options and on the clock to get back to work as well as people who lingered long, as we do for lunch here. (Let me say this...retirement and vacations are both desireable states of being for the benefit of long lunches.) FOOD: On recent visits we enjoyed all Cafe Vicno has to offer including the splendid food of gorgonzola and fig appetizer, exceptionally good pasta dishes like (rigatoni with roast lamb, fava beans, roasted tomatoes, local chevre and fresh mint or inguine with speck and fresh kale) and glasses of wine (reasonably priced at $8.75 each for generous pours). We particularly appreciate that Cafe Vicino sources many items from local ranchers and growers and names them on the menu. We like knowing what is in the food we are going to eat and from where it came. To set expectations, the food is not trendy but it is contemporary to fit the times. There is a difference. We enjoy trendy too and there are options for that in Boise. Here you will find creative with respect for the ingredients but not push the envelope of cutting edge. VA:LUE: Our most rececent leisurely lunch included shared appetizers (two), splitting a pasta dish (done in the kitchen at no upcharge - nice), two glasses of wine and coffee to finish at about $45.00 for two people before tax. A very good value we think, given the quality of the food and service and "aahhh...some" ambiance. AMBIANCE: Mediterranean food expert and cookbook author Nancy Harmon Jenkins, of whom I am a fan, opines there needs to be some measure of serenity in the setting and in particular for noise level to really appreciate food being consumed. In that she lambastes the "HUH...WHAT DID YOU SAY" over the top music mix and noise levels in many restaurants. I share her opinions and offer up mine that Cafe Vincino has it just right for music that fits the space and at a lovely subued level. Everything is connected to everything else in wonderful outcome here. THIS N THAT: 1) JUST SAY YES: You will be asked at every service if you would like bread with your meal. Say yes. It is Gaston's and served with a house infused olive oil with citrus and herbs that is simply lovely. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level in and throughout. Standard height table seating with ample space in between. Accessible loo. Accessible parking outside Co Op Wine shop next door. 3) OUTDOOR SEATING: On patio in back. But really, why would one give up sitting in the charming interior? 4) A LITTLE REBRANDING GOING ON: Showing Richard's Cafe Vicino, not just Cafe Vicino, on new web page and recently reformatted (for layout not content) menus. Same great food and service.

    Best Italian we've ever had. Not too heavy, very creative menu. Super friendly staff in a quiet pocket of downtown Boise. Great patio.. The fig and Gorgonzola app is a must have alongside the fresh potato chips with aoili. My scallop fettuccini was delicious and fresh... We will return.

    Hubby surprised me by making reservations here for lunch on a special day. We had other appointments in the morning and we ended up near the restaurant almost an hour before our reservation. He called and they were able to get us in without a wait. For our meals, we chose the grilled shrimp with risotto cakes and the cheese ravioli bolognese. Risotto cakes were new to me, and they were delicious! My dish was served with this lovely pesto cream sauce. I ran out of sauce about half-way through. Hubby had the ravioli and enjoyed it very much. We asked for the server's recommendation for a red wine to accompany the ravioli, and she made a very nice selection. Hubby enjoyed his glass very much. It was a generous pour in a nice-sized glass. The service was very good. Shortly after ordering, we received some very nice sliced bread with a side of olive oil. Our meals came out quickly and as-ordered. Ambiance was very nice, and we'd definitely consider returning.

    Absolutely lovely. Excellent service that struck the perfect balance between always being there when you needed them but never hovering. An interesting menu with subtle twists on classics that is fairly priced for the quality and quantity. Everything we ordered was well executed and very enjoyable. The server gave good suggestions for wine pairings. The ambiance is white-tablecloth casual. We will be back.

    This is our restaurant. We love it. The food is absolutely delicious and the wine selection is perfect. We have had so many wonderful meals here. The staff is attentive and yet they no when to hold off. Love that. Couldn't give a better recommendation.

    My wife and I had a pleasant dinner here last night. Our first outing since having our little girl. The service was fine and the food was pretty good but I was expecting to be blown away by the James Beard Award semi finalist. Appetizer- Calamari and chickpea salad. Calamari was tasty but the chickpea salad with pickled red onion and celery was bland. Had to use s/p, then it was fine but nothing special. Soup- lentil and cabbage - good but forgettable Wife - Smoked chicken and hazelnut risotto - fantastic!! Me - The special - Sablefish and Muscles in a nettle broth. Sablefish was perfect. Muscles were so fishy it ruined the dish. I ate 4 of them and left the rest on the plate. Really disappointed they actually served those to me. Will be back... But it will be a while.

    I was disappointed the other night when we were unable to dine here because the restaurant was full! Didn't think to make a reservation. Our experiences here in the past have been great! I've gone here for two years in a row for my birthday dinner and have also taken out of town guests here who were very happy with the food. The menu is seasonal and ingredients always fresh! My favorites are quail when it's available and the chicken with grappa sauce. Very intimate place and easy to have a conversation!

    Best meal of my life! Started with the Calamari which was a totally different presentation that I am used to. It was fantastic. Then, we moved to the beet salad with chevre which after first bite I thought would be hard to top. Both courses were simple yet incredibly elegant. The next course was the gnocchi which I will have to order there ALWAYS. It is hands down the best thing I've ever eaten. The gnocchi itself could stand alone. But, it is served with beets in a cream sauce along with perfectly glazed walnuts. The walnuts were perfect as it gave the dish some yummy crunches. My boyfriend and I were sharing all the courses and we were contemplating fighting over the last bites of this dish. GET THE GNOCCHI!!! You will not be disappointed. We then had the special which was a fish/mussel/ plate that was also amazing. I however couldn't get over the gnocchi so was still gushing over it. We ended with the chocolate tart which was the "least impressive" thing we had all night...and was still delicious. Our server was fantastic and let us enjoy our courses with the perfect amount of time in between. I am big on service and this was by far the best service I've had at a restaurant in some time. Their wine list isn't extensive but they did have some great local choices and a variety of different blends. Can't wait to go back!

    I stopped in unexpectedly for lunch. The atmosphere seemed pleasant, but that's where it stopped. The appetizer was an overpriced disappointment that was the size of a postage stamp and had just as much flavor as one. The salad looked attractive and I included shrimp - it was an unimpressive mix of lettuce dabbled with less that favorable dressing and three overly crispy shrimp on a skewer. The only thing that stood out was the cost of nearly $18.00 for something that was hardly worth the visit. Not impressed. Don't recommend this place.

    We have been strong followers and believers in Cafe Vicino since it opened several years ago, but have to say now it has really become stale and outdated in a town with a growing number of options. Menu is stagnent from visit to visit, the attention to detail that used to be there no longer is and the atmosphere is...well...somewhat depressing really on a Friday night with half of the tables full. I only hope they can hit the reset button and remember what made them successful in the beginning and get back to that level.

    My friend and I ate here for my birthday and I have to give it 5 stars. It is elegant and intimate with amazing food. The house salad was one of the best I've ever had. We both had the cannelloni and it was perfect. The desserts were delicious too. Our server was friendly and helpful. Cafe Vicino is definitely my new favorite restaurant in Boise.

    Service was spectacular. On top of everything but completely unobtrusive. Our lead server Kolbie was great. Food was excellent too (gorgonzola stuffed figs was delightful, grilled shrimp with risotto cakes was tasty and the coffee crème brulee was wonderfully intense with coffee flavor). They have done a lot with a small store front space, very cozy.

    I want to take a bath in the olive dressing they serve on their house salad. Seriously, that coupled with the feta cheese bring a fantastic combo to the plate. I was in lust with a dressing. So simple yet creative. Why haven't I seen this on other menus? There were definitely hits and misses at Cafe Vicino but the service and the delicious dressing is helping push my review to 4 stars. So the hits: service, nice wine list (we ordered a 2009 Nebbiolio), PELLEGRINO (yes, it deserves caps, I took my ability to get this delicious, sparkling beverage at restaurants for granted before I moved to Boise. Apparently people here think soda water is a suitable replacement) and interesting selection of pastas and entrees. JP order the black cod with clams while I opted for the lamb ragu. The broth on JP's cod was good and my lamb and pasta were perfectly cooked. I think I just would have liked a little bit of spice with the dish since lamb works so well with a little heat. The misses: not major but disappointing. They have an heirloom tomato preparation which changes daily. Last night they had the tomato on bread and topped with melted Ballard cheese. 3 things I love in life: tomatoes, cheese and bread. The dish just fell flat. They served it with a grainy mustard on the plate. I tried one bite with it and lost the tomato in that bite so went sans mustard for the rest but it still was mediocre at best. They've done a decent job with the interior space, especially since they are located in the same parking lot as the Co-op. Once you are inside you forget about it. All of the tables were full and lively. The dessert list looked great but we were already full. I wish they had a small bar area. This would be the kind of place I would swing in for a glass of wine and an app or dessert after work.

    5 star. Service, menu selection, presentation, flavor, wine. Started with flatbread appetizer........prosciutto and garlic....awesome. House salad tart and thus different with crisp chilled lettuce.....fabulous. Entree beef ribs for one and NY steak for the other. Polenta, carrots and spinach perfect. Desserts incredible.     Ever since Boise lost Mortimer's and Eagle lost sixonesix (both tragic losses b/c they were world class) - I had been rather concerned about our area's culinary scene until I discovered Cafe Vicino. The food is simple but elegant and give any Emeril restaurant a run for its money. I had the duck. It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The ambiance is not pretentious. Staff is helpful and attentive although lunch time food and service were both a little iffy on one occasion, however, that could have been an outlier.

    I was quite surprised that a place this good was located in this chaotic little shopping center. I was worried I was being taken to that place with the massive chicken on the roof. The menu was great and they have so many specials it took the waitress 5 minutes to review them all. The service was excellent. The downside is the parking during lunch is like going to a suburban mall during christmas.

    Love Cafe Vicino. The food is often locally sourced, and while there are a number of old standbys (pasta, steaks), they try to shake things up a bit, too. Portion size is modest but still plenty of food. Atmosphere can be a little loud, but the service is always top notch.

    Vicino has been disappointing lately. Since Vicino is favorite restaurant in Boise, we like dining there for special occasions. That's why we've been there for 2 birthdays in the past 6 months. Both times, the staff of Vicino sorely disappointed us. Both times, we made it explicitly clear to the hostess that a member of our party was having a birthday. Once, either the hostess failed to inform the server or the server forgot. The second time, the server simply chose not to do anything or she forgot, (both she and the hostess were personally informed by a member of our party). Multiple times we've seen servers bring out a slice of cake, with a candle, to guests for birthdays. So this problem is definitely is not our misunderstanding of a restaurant protocol. The first time this happened, it's easy to pass it off as an simple oversight. The second time has ensured that we will be extremely reluctant to dine at Vicino to celebrate any special occasion. The kitchen has also been slightly disappointing. One of the best appetizers on the menu is the homemade chips with truffle salt. We've ordered them probably 7 or 8 times. Normally they're served, when properly cooked, yellow and slightly soft. 2 out of the last 3 times we ordered them, they were served to us very over-cooked. They were brown, very dry and crunchy--extremely over-fried. For a restaurant in Vicino's price range, this isn't kosher. This is an obvious mistake that is, visually, very obvious to the kitchen and waiters and should not happen. Especially multiple times. Our last visit was the most disappointing. When they're not serving obviously burned/overcooked food or forgetting birthdays, the service is usually some of the best in Boise. That was not the case during our last visit. Service throughout the second 2/3 of our meal was extremely slow. No refills on water. Finished my glass of wine before I was halfway through the meal but was not offered another glass until long after my meal was finished. We ended up waiting 18-20 minutes, with empty plates in front of us, for our check. This is unacceptable at a diner, let alone Cafe Vicino. Even if they were short staffed, it's still not ok. Regardless of whether they were short staffed, or not, simple acknowledgement from a server goes a long way. I was a server for 2 years and I never hesitated to apologize to a customer when I knew I gave them shitty service. Honesty and a simple apology can go a long way. Apparently our server was either too stubborn or oblivious to apply this tenet. Hopefully, Vicino can get it together and improve their service because they do have one of the best chefs and menus in town.

    This charming restaurant is the best place in Boise to get a meal worthy of a city twice it's size. Lunch is busy, but reasonably priced, and offers an enormous steak salad (among other delicious options). The dinner menu boasts a wonderful prix fixe option. Much of the menu is local and organic. At least once a month I have to come here and order the gorgonzola souffle with fingerling potatoes. The cannelloni, (served at both lunch and dinner) is made with a fennel sausage, giving an Italian classic a new twist. The tomato basil soup is perfectly seasoned. The table olive oil is house seasoned, and with fresh bread could easily be made into a meal. I have never ordered something here that I did not enjoy.

    I remember three years ago, when I first moved to Boise I rode by Cafe Vicino on my way out to Floating Feather Rd. and thought to myself "Hey, that looks like a great place for a date!" I never did lose that thought and last week, I finally made it into a reality. That being said, I am kicking myself for waiting so long. Cafe Vicino is fantastic. I really, really enjoyed the place. Starting with the decor: The restaurant is very clean and has a nice minimalistic, yet upscale decorum. The walls are a clean white, ceiling fans aplenty, and nice, simple paintings all about the walls. The tables are placed fairly closely together, but not so close that I am talking to the entire establishment when speaking a little below typical conversation volume. It's definitely a smaller place, but it plays into the image they're trying to present of being a "neighborhood" sort of place. It really felt like the sort of place that people just go to on occasion to either catch a simple, yet pleasant meal or catch up with old friends over some eclectic food. The food itself: Delightful, absolutely delightful. I opted for their Asparagus-chicken risotto whilst my date had their lamb ragu. My risotto was thick, hearty, and perfectly balanced. I've had risotto in other parts of the city that honestly was more porridge than anything else. I was delighted by the flavor and as a BIG eater, I was ecstatic at my portion. My date loved her ragu as well, and my bite of it had me thinking that it certainly was up to par, but I am definitely a risotto fan. We opted for the prix fixe menu, where I started with a bruschetta-like appetizer and my date had a simple salad. Both were honestly nothing to write home about, but adequate for the location. The dessert on the other hand, was wonderful. I had a chocolate-hazlenut torte while my date enjoyed her chocolate-berry cake. Flavors were sweet, decadent, and there was just enough served up that we could share and didn't have to fight to get ourselves to share. Last, but not least, the service: Calling it the Achilles heel would be an exaggeration, as service was fine, but in comparison to the price and the atmosphere, it was a bit lacking. My biggest caveat was that my server ignored my table for an extended period of time. While understanding that they were busy, I felt it was outright unfortunate that she would not even acknowledge us with an apology in passing. Other tables were given their appetizers and bread, despite being sat after us. Ultimately, our server was flagged down and we got out apps and bread, but it was an unfortunate ding on an otherwise pristine evening. Cafe Vicino is a unique place with great food. While not a North Ender myself, I certainly will venture over to the neighborhood place again sometime soon.

    Cafe Vicino was a great experience. The food was great, nothing mind blowing, but really yummy, and the service is fantastic. Will definitely be going back!! It is a quaint little restaurant, so don't forget to book a reservation, and definitely don't plan on talking any secret undercover business because you are really close to everyone.

    I found Cafe Vicino thanks to Yelp and all of the reviewers really did this place justice. When we arrived, of course since it was lunch time on a day ending in 'day' the parking lot for the Boise Co-op was a zoo. We did find some street parking though and did a little jaywalking (I'm from Seattle, we love jaywalking!). When we arrived the entry was packed, but fortunately I had made a reservation through OpenTable (link available on the Cafe Vicino website). We were seated immediately and offered drinks. We were a party of three and two of the people in my party had merlot (which they said was delicious) and I had iced tea - no lemon. I was pleased that they brought me raw cane sugar which is hard to come by in the Boise area at times. After we ordered our meal our waitress brought us sliced sourdough bread with a delicious sweet oil dip. Our meal arrived promptly. I ordered the fettuccine with butternut squash, spinach, and a light cream sauce with cheese. This was hands down the best fettuccine I have ever had! The sauce was light but added to the fettuccine well and the squash was done just right. The other two people in my party ordered grilled shrimp and risotto which they said was also delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and kind. The atmosphere was great and even though they were busy, they did not have a problem with us sitting around talking after our meal. The price was also right. For three gourmet meals, four glasses of wine, and a seemingly bottomless iced tea, our bill was under $70. I will definitely be back here when I am in town. I encourage all Boise locals who are not afraid to brave the co-op parking lot to try this little gem.

    We went here based on the Yelp reviews and were really happy with our meal. It was a little pricier than we had expected but we will definitely be back. Nice place for a date. But I don't think it's the best place to bring kids.

    My husband and I have eaten at Cafe Vicino over the past couple of years and have really enjoyed our experience there. For this reason we went back to celebrate our anniversary and were generally disappointed by most of the meal. Our scallop appetizer was undercooked and rubbery, the chicken in the main meal was a bit dry and too salty, and the tuna salad was not flavorful and a bit too peppery. The polenta was good, as was their flatbread, but that was about it. They have so many good ingredients and could do so much with the food they are serving, but unfortunately most of the flavors were unexciting and not did not complement each other. In addition to this, the service was also off. I'm generally not one to complain about service if the food is tasty, but all in all it was a disappointing combination. It seems like others have had less favorable experiences in the last few months as well.

    We have been several times and obviously we like. The menu is varied each time we go. The service is very good and just a little classy, quaint atomosphere. The food is very good. The bread and oil is always amazing and I enjoyed the wine list. The Coop wine shop next may help....hard to go wrong here. About $16-28 for entrees.
