The acai sea sider bowl lacked flavor and they definitely skimp on the toppings. One Good thing is the ingredients are all natural. Maybe I am just biased because of the acai bowls I had in the North Shore in Hawaii.

Always making my stop after a hike or run on the foothills. It beats any ice cream or frozen yogurt. Fresh fruits, veggies, acai sorbet, granola, honey all in 1 bowl. Delicious, healthy, and refreshing!

Really exceptional bowls here, definitely the closest thing that you can get to an acai bowl from Oahu. I would highly recommend Bowl of Heaven to anybody looking for a refreshing, healthy meal or snack.

Medium or small is all you need. Perfect for the midmorning. Woke up late and missed breakfast, needed some fruit with a little pick me up. I love this place because it feels like your having ice cream for breakfast. Highlights, no guilt great taste. Only recommendation would be a better location. It's a bit difficult to find unless you know about it and know what it is.

Naming your store "Bowl of Heaven" is a big claim to make, but I think these people have found what a bowl of heaven would actually taste like. I got the peanut butter bowl and it was amazing. It was filling, it tasted like dessert, and I felt healthy afterwards.

I stopped by here on a Saturday morning and tried one of their peanut butter bowls. The place was clean and there wasn't any line. Of the three available sizes I ordered the medium one, if I go back I'll probably get a small. The bowl itself had a peanut butter acai smoothie/sorbet on the bottom, then a layer of granola above that, and a layer of fresh cut fruit on top. I thought all three layers complemented each other well, and was impressed with the quality of the food. I took off a star because while the quality of the food was great, I didn't love the flavor of the sorbet as much as I expected. I'll stop by again in a few weeks to try something else and update my rating then.

Absolutely awesome Acai bowls! The perfect lunch treat for when it's hot out or you want something filling that still feels and tastes healthy. I opted for the bowl that also had spinach in the mix and the gal at the counter was exactly right about her recommendation - it didn't have the spinach flavor at all and was a great way to sneak in greens and extra vitamins. The medium sized bowl was more than enough for an entire meal. Any more than that and I would have had to take it home and turn it into two separate meals. Based on her recommendations it sounds like another popular bowl is the peanut butter one. I'm tempted to try that if I get a chance to come back again soon! The only odd thing about this place is that people seem to know they have a nice big bathroom. I was here for 30 mins or so to eat and people were coming in just to use the restroom. What's even more odd is that right in front of the door there's a two-top table for people to eat. Not the best spot but considering it's a popular place to grab a bite or a smoothie, maybe it's here because they need to maximize the space. Nonetheless - very lovely space, excellent service, and clean bathroom. I used it too, ha! Had to see what the fuss was about, I guess.

Nice healthy option for breakfast while in Boise. The owner was nice and willing to give suggestions. Definitely come by if you have a chance.

Their name says it all! I love smoothies and was not disappointed by my choice of the "Islander" today. All of their ingredients are organic. I got the regular size bowl which serves well as a meal replacement. You can choose the typical smoothie option, but I immediately turned that down upon learning what the bowls consist of: fruit and granola on both the bottom and the top with the smoothie in the middle. It was amazing! I only have one complaint... I realize organic automatically means a price increase, but $8 for a regular bowl was MUCH more than I was expecting to pay. I'll definitely be going back but probably not as often as they would like.

Very impressed. The owner was very knowledgeable about every product she carried. Very sweet and very welcoming. I got the seasider bowl. The bowl looked and tasted great! I will be back.

I always get excited for a bowl of heaven treat! It's so yummy! I usually get the regular peanut better bowl and add their plant based protein. My husband can't have gluten or dairy so it's so nice we don't have to worry about those in any bowls. Not only is it tasty but this location is clean and inviting. The owner is fabulous! Would say its a Must try!

The regular is great size for lunch.. The peanut butter bowl hit the spot. They have a board with community events, nice people, vibrant atmosphere. Wish they had more savory options. But there isn't a place like it in Boise!

Yum!!!! Had this for lunch and it seemed more like dessert. I had the bowl which consists of fresh delicious berries, granola, peanut butter and a little bit of chocolate. You can also just get a smoothie if you want to skip the toppings. Highly recommend.

Imagine "breakfast in a bowl." What comes to mind? Do you think about scrambled eggs, sausage, grits, and cheese? Maybe just a bowl of oatmeal with butter, brown sugar, apples and/or raisins perhaps? Or possibly, a pancake stack layered with hot fruit compote and smothered in syrup? Not so with Bowl of Heaven's concoctions. Instead, this is what you should expect. But first, put on your Trader Joe's/Boise Co-op/Whole Foods thinking caps... Are you there? Good. Namaste. Now, think. It's a fruit smoothie. But no, it's blended to the consistency of ice cream without the consistency of guilt. Then add toppings like organic granola and fresh fruit, and when it all comes together (in a bowl of course), magic happens! Or in this case, heaven happens... to actually be in your bowl. And you eat it. So now you know. Heaven is meant to be eaten. And here's the way I recommend tackling the task. In order for your first and subsequent experiences to be ideal, the first thing you should do is call ahead to place your order over the phone. Obviously, to shorten or avoid any wait time. Because typically, there are about two (maybe three) "master blenders" whipping up bowls, and occasionally, they get a little bum rushed. So don't be surprised if you arrive and the vibe is a bit hectic. You bum rusher, you! During my first visit, not knowing that I could call ahead, I did have to wait for a few minutes before someone had a moment to take my order. However, for the most part, it's not overly busy. Also, I did have the pleasure of speaking with Kim, the owner, who is very pleasant, polite and open to feedback from her customers. By the way, I learned from our conversation that her store is independently owned and (other than sharing the same name and branding) is a completely separate entity from the Eagle Road location. This is especially useful information when it comes to Bowl of Heaven's loyalty cards, which I highly recommend getting. It's a buy 10, and get the 11th one for free type of deal. Only good at the State Street location. (Also, read the tips on Bowl of Heaven Cafe's Yelp business page, and learn how to get your loyalty card double-stamped.) After all, chances are that once you try a Bowl of Heaven, you'll be loyally back for more. I know that I will. P.S. Yes, the location (while economically sound from a business owner's point-of-view) on State Street is a little out of place. So I encourage you to show increasing support for this locally owned business, and hopefully, Kim will be able to relocate her store to a neighborhood more consistent her offerings.

Love everything about Bowl of Heaven! Visited Boise in April and enjoyed a bowl from the specials board. It was refreshing , satisfying and major yummy. Bonus ~ I knew I was doing something good for my body. The decor in the store is super cute if you want to enjoy your bowl indoors and there are also tables and chairs outside too. The owner was very knowledgeable about nutrition and extremely helpful and friendly. On our last day we stopped to pick up smoothies to enjoy for the drive out of town. Blended super thick with fruits and all natural. I actually made mention about how thick the smoothies were and she said "all fruit , no thickeners , no ice " Thick cold slushy ... It was SO GOOD. I wish there was something like this close to home. I've recommended this place to friends that travel to Boise and all have reported back great raves. I love these small shops that put forth so much passion to provide high quality products and service.

Came here for an early lunch. I ordered their peanut butter bowl which is featured on their acai bowl menu and was not disappointed. I wasn't feeling famished so I got the small. Am I ever glad I did! These bowls are seriously filling! I think I'll only ever order a small as it was completely satisfying (I DID opt to add protein and fiber). They are smooth, light, refreshing, and filling all at once. Not to mention flavorful and delicious. I highly recommend one of their bowls for breakfast or a light and lovely lunch. They are fast (order at the counter and they'll call you for your bowl), reasonably priced, and offer friendly service. My dining companion and I had never been here and they were happy to review the menu with us and offer recommendations. This is yet another great fast food alternative on State Street (The Gyro Shack being the other!). Get to it! Oh...P.S. On the off chance you were wondering, Acai is pronounced Ah-sigh-ee. I'm notorious for slaughtering pronunciations and so I offer this to my fellow verbal bunglers. I've got your back...we lexical fumblers gotta stick together.
